Jareth The Goblin King - Tumblr Posts
My type as a preteen was a middle aged antagonistic man who sings, wears makeup, a crazy wig and tights, and acts flamboyant
The wolf is from a beutiful soviet musical called "rock'n'roll wolf" or simply "mama" from yaers back. It's gorgeous and can be found on youtube in English. The movie was actually shot in three languages simultaneously!

Debts Repaid (Yandere JarethxReader)
Hiking through the park, you soaked in the warmth of the day. After such a long, harsh winter, it felt as though spring had finally made it through. You relished the opportunity to finally get out of the house and enjoy the revival of nature. The grass and the leaves of the trees seemed to almost bleed green, and you could hear the chirping of the birds that had already returned. You seemed to be the only person at the park though, everyone else not trusting this sudden change in weather. But as you rambled through the trees, you found yourself glad that you had the park to yourself, at least for today.
Suddenly, you heard the cracks and crash of the branches above you, the sound practically deafening in the otherwise quiet area. You looked up to see a large bird tumbling through the trees, quickly approaching the ground. It was desperately trying to keep its wings open, and although it was not able to resume flight, it was able to slow its descent. As it fell to the ground, you paused, unsure of what you should do. Cautiously, you began to approach the bird, needing to see if it was all right. When you reached it, you saw that it was an owl, a white barn owl, in fact. It was struggling to keep itself upright, which is how you noticed what exactly was wrong. One of the owl’s legs was broken, forcing the owl to try to hop awkwardly to stay standing. The creature was understandably preoccupied, but after a moment it turned to you.
You gasped quietly at the sight of his eyes. They were piercing, and there was something almost human in their affect. You didn’t know very much about owls, but something about this one struck you as special. The two of you simply stared at each other for a moment, the owl cocking his head to one side in curiosity.
“Hello,” you whispered. “I’m not going to hurt you.” At your words, the owl gave a hoot, one that a part of you thought you recognized as amused, as if he understood what you had said and found the thought of you trying to harm him ludicrous. Slowly, as not to startle the bird, you took off your drawstring backpack and reached into it to bring out your water bottle. Twisting off the top, you poured some of your water into the cap and set in on the ground between you and the owl. He considered it for moment, and then began to approach it, careful to keep his injured leg from brushing the ground. As he drank, you took the opportunity to peer closer at his leg, wondering if you should call animal control. But as soon as the thought crossed your mind, the owl’s head turned sharply towards you, and he ruffled his feathers angrily.
“Okay,” you said, raising your hands in placation. “I won’t call, but you still need someone to look at your leg.” A distant part of you wondered why you were bothering to speak to the bird as if he could comprehend you, but a larger, more instinctual part told you that he could understand every word that you said. This impression was further reinforced as the owl came closer to you and held out his leg. At this sign of encouragement, you grasped the bottom of your thin shirt and began to tear at it. After a moment, you had decent sized strip of cloth, and your companion hooted approvingly. Crouching down beside him, you took his leg and started to wrap the cloth around it tightly. Once you tied it, the owl simply blinked in thanks and flew off.
As you journeyed home, you thought that that would be the last time you would see the bird. But as the days passed, you were soon proven wrong. The very next morning, as you were preparing some breakfast, you spotted the owl from your kitchen window. At first you believed him to be a different bird, especially when you noticed that both of his legs were perfectly healthy and lacking any bandages. When he turned to face you, however, you recognized his eyes instantly. Over the next few days, you observed that the owl would show up wherever you went, provided that it was not indoors. And even when you were inside, you would either see him from a window or find him soon after you stepped outside. Once again you considered calling animal control, as this hardly seemed like normal bird behavior. But whenever you thought of doing so, a sickening feeling would twist and turn through you, warning you strongly against the idea. Besides, you thought to yourself, it was not as though he was bothering anyone.
It was true, as much as you had seen the owl, he never came as close to you as he did that first day. He seemed content to watch you from a distance, though for what purpose you had no idea. One day though, his careful distance was broken. You were walking through the park with a friend of yours, the two of you enjoying the opportunity to catch up with each other. You were having such a nice time, in fact, that you forgot about your new, feathered companion. So when your friend slung his arm around your shoulders, you thought nothing of it, until the owl soared towards him, screeching and slashing at your friend with his talons. Shoving your friend behind you, you began to yell.
“Stop it! Get the hell away from him!”
The bird paused at your demands, gave one last screech, and flew away. You took your friend home and helped him to clean his wounds, thankful that none of the scratches went very deep. After explaining to him your story with the bird, he made you promise to call animal control if the owl ever came close to you again. Heart twisting, you agreed, not sure if you could actually go through with it. When you arrived back home, you searched all the treetops for the bird, but when you didn’t see him, you dared to hope that he might leave you alone from now on.
Later that night though, as you were puttering around the house, you felt a pair of eyes on you. Attempting to ignore the sensation, you decided to turn in for the night and went up to your bedroom. The room was surprisingly cold when you entered it, something that was explained when you noticed the open window. What couldn’t be explained though, was how it had opened in the first place. You were sure that you hadn’t opened it yourself, but you couldn’t think of any other possible explanation. So you forced yourself to near the window to close it, when your eyes caught something you would have preferred for them to ignore. On the windowsill, catching the moonlight, there lay a long, white feather. Hesitantly, you picked it up, half expecting it to disappear. But it failed to do so, staying with you as you spun it between your fingers. As a sense of unease rippled through you, you tried to shove it back down, hoping that you were just being paranoid.
“I wish I just knew what was going on,” you whispered to yourself. As soon as those words left your lips, the lights in your room began to flicker. A sudden wind roared against your house, and the window was thrown back open. Backing against the wall, you stood silently as you witnessed the owl fly towards you. When he came through your window and officially arrived in your bedroom, however, he was no longer an owl.
Standing before you was a pale stranger, all at once alien and familiar. His eyes were startling, one of them light while the other was dark, and gave you the impression that of a predator watching its prey. Blond hair reached past his shoulders, the top of it rather ruffled, thus paralleling the shape of the owl’s head. He wore a loose white shirt with a dark vest around it that exposed much of his chest, and leather pants that left very little to the imagination. You could only gawk at him, praying that you were simply dreaming. But as he began to approach you with a smug smile on his face, you had to concede that this didn’t seem to be the case.
“Hello, love,” he purred once he reached you.
“Who the hell are you?”
“I? I am the Goblin King, but you may call me Jareth.” You swallowed nervously.
“You-you don’t look like a goblin.” He laughed at your comment, rather amused with your continuing ignorance.
“That is because I am not a goblin, love. I am simply their ruler.”
“Okay…but what are you doing here?”
“You wished for me to explain what was going on, did you not?” he asked with a satisfied grin. “I am only too happy to oblige.” But rather than begin to explain, he instead reached out and took your face in his hand. Something sparked through you at his touch, and you leaned into it subconsciously. For a minute, the two of you simply stood there as he began to stroke your cheek. A haze soon found its way into your head, and you found your eyes beginning to close. Before they could though, some part of you stayed awake enough to force you to bite the inside of your cheek harshly, bringing you out of your stupor. At the sight of your eyes snapping back open, Jareth removed his hand and seemed to smile slyly.
“Well then?” you asked, “What’s going on?”
“I was the owl that you saved,” he answered. “I was journeying through this world when I was attacked, leaving my leg broken. If I had been in my own kingdom, I could have healed it immediately, of course, but things being what they were, I was at the mercy of this realm. That is, until you helped me. I was intrigued by you, to say the least. I have had many dealings with humans in years past, and I have found them to uniformly selfish and arrogant. Your actions, therefore, served to surprise me.”
“What does that have to do with you following me around?”
“Well, at first, I was merely fulfilling my duties. You helped me, and I was hence bound to do the same for you. My kind are honorable, a debt never goes unpaid.”
“Is that what you call attacking my friend? A debt repaid?” you cried. At your words, the Goblin King’s calm demeanor seemed to crack, and his eyes flashed angrily. But as quickly as his anger appeared, it sunk beneath the surface as he forced himself to smile and continue as if you hadn’t spoken.
“While my debt to you was my initial reason for watching over you, something about you continued to pull me towards you. You are not like other humans, little one. After giving it much thought, I have finally found the proper way to repay you.” Gazing down at you, he reached out his hand once more, only chuckling when you jerked away from his touch.
“And what may that be?” you asked warily.
“You clearly do not belong here with the rest of mankind, your flesh may be human but your soul is far more noble. I shall take you to my realm, where you truly belong.” Eyes widening, you shook your head in dispute.
“I can’t.”
“Oh?” the king scoffed in amusement. “Whyever not?”
“Because, my whole life is here. My friends, my family, everything. This is my home.”
“Oh pet,” he sighed. “You humans and your fancies. Just because you have known no other world does not mean that this one is your home. In my kingdom you will find everything that this world lacks. There I can weave your dreams for you, and play you music on the wind. Here lies only misery and drudgery for you. There you shall be a queen, my queen.” His voice was so gentle, so soothing that as you listened to him speak you couldn’t help but imagine yourself in the tempting picture that he painted. But once again, you forced yourself to not to sink into the dream.
“And what if I don’t want to be?” At your question, Jareth smirked smugly.
“We both know that you do, love. I have seen your every secret, your every dream, and they all mirror mine. You belong to me and to the labyrinth, whether you accept it or not.” Pausing in his speech, but before you could gather your thoughts, he twisted his hand and summoned a crystal. He presented its smooth, round surface before your eyes and began to twirl it back and forth, the movement captivating you. As you stared at it silently, strange images swam before your eyes. You saw a maze made out of stone, its passages twisting and turning in impossible ways. You saw a vast array of creatures, some beautiful yet frightening and some hideous yet enticing. Scenes of you and the Goblin King danced before you, all at once terrifying and wondrous. You witnessed a dozen kisses between you two, some chaste and sweet while others burned you just from looking at them. You saw the both of you joined on an unfamiliar bed, drinking in each other’s being, and heated pooled your core at the sight. That familiar haze began to enter your mind once more, but this time it wrapped around you too tightly for you to reject it. Even when Jareth caused the crystal to disappear, the fog remained, continuing to cloud your thoughts.
“I…” you tried to say, before falling silent again. Sensing that you would no longer object to his touch, the otherworldly king grasped your chin and tilted your face up to his. Pleased at the sight of your misted eyes, he leaned down and brushed his lips softly against yours. It was a feather of a kiss, but the feeling of it still left you dizzy.
“Well?” Jareth queried. “Do you wish to come with me?”
“Yes,” you whispered dreamily, “I do.” At your agreement, Jareth suddenly met his lips with yours, swallowing your very breath. Running his tongue against your lips, you granted him access and allowed him to twine his tongue with yours. He held your waist possessively, imprisoning you against him. As your kiss continued, the haze in your mind only grew stronger, with you soon fading in and out of your limited awareness. When you finally fell unconscious, the Goblin King brought you into his arms and walked off into the shadows.
A Wish (Yandere Jareth/Goblin KingxReader)
Time passed differently where you were, wherever it was that you were. You were encased in crystal, floating along in a starless sky. There was nothing but the increasingly blurred memories and the distant echo of music. A voice was singing to you, one that was simultaneously remote and cold but still so caressing and soft, like smooth velvet against your skin and warm honey in your ears. His voice calmed you and tortured you and praised you and mocked you without pause. He wore away your sanity and tethered you to it at the same time.
The only time that his music ever ceased was when he joined you in your cage of crystal. Sometimes he simply stood there without speaking, his discordant eyes threatening to swallow you whole, as though he needed to place you in a cage within a cage to keep you with him. Other times though, other times he held you tightly against him, his smirking lips bruising your skin. But whatever his visits entailed, they always left you feeling the same way. The moments when he was with you were the only moments the you felt remotely solid. And when he left, you were left in emptiness with only his voice to comfort you.
“Please,” you whispered in his ear.
“Please, what precisely?”
“Please don’t leave me here alone.”
“Don’t you realize, pet, that I have no wish to leave you either?” he chuckled despondently. “But I cannot remain here. You are not my sole responsibility, after all. There is only one way for us to remain together.”
“What?” you pleaded, “What is it?”
“As I cannot stay here with you, you have to leave here with me.”
“That’s all?”
“But you have to want it, love. You have to choose it, have to beg for it,” the king purred, sensing himself finally close in on his prey after so long.
“I do, I will, I swear.”
“Then you know what it is that you have to say.” Turning inward, you realized that he was telling the truth. Already you could feel the words rising within you, as if pushed by a tide that could no longer be held back.
“I—” you began, only to pause. Failing to note the king’s scowl at your hesitance, you tried to grasp the hum of the warning that had rung within you. It was familiar yet forgotten, and in truth you couldn’t tell if you wanted to remember it. Yet still it demanded your attention.
“Oh, my love,” came that silver voice, the king tilting up your chin so you were once more smothered by his eyes, “you are so close.” And with that, you felt the tide rise back up again, washing away any remaining resistance that you still carried.
“I wish to go with you; I wish to stay with you.”
As he took your hand in his, you gave a hazy smile. It was hard to be wary, after all, when such sweet music played in your ear.

Who loved Jareth the Goblin King from Labyrinth? <3 He was my childhood crush. aah memories~ <3
hope you guys will like it xoxo
I have decided that they are only allowed to remake Labyrinth if, and ONLY IF, they let Guillermo del Toro do it. Make it as spooky and sexy as he wants. Just let him go fuckin wild.
In which case we would need a new musician to play Jareth, one with the distinct quality of the fae folk that make a believable King of the Goblins, with the romantic sincerity to say shit like “I have reordered time, I have turned the world upside down, and I have done it all for you” - and crucially, someone much beloved by The Gays.
First post of 2021! And it simply had to be more labyrinth fan art.

Magic Dance by David Bowie | Lyrics (Movie Ver)
I just love Labyrinth and I want to put the lyrics on here because i'm bored <3
(Jareth)
You remind me of the babe
(Goblin)
What babe?
(Jareth)
Babe with the power
(Goblin)
What power?
(Jareth)
Power of voodoo
(Goblin)
Who do?
(Jareth)
You do
(Goblin)
Do what?
(Jareth)
Remind me of the babe
Quiet! A goblin babe!
(Laughter)
Well?
(More laughter)
I saw my baby, crying hard as babe could cry. What could I do?
My baby's love had gone and left my baby blue, nobody knew!
(Goblins and Jareth)
What kind of magic spell to use?
(Goblins)
Slime and snails. Or puppy dogs tails. Thunder or lightning.
(Jareth)
Then baby said,
(Everyone)
Dance magic dance. Dance magic dance
Put that baby spell on me
Jump magic jump. Jump magic jump.
Jump that magic, jump on me.
(Goblin)
Slap that baby, make him pee!
------------
(Spoken by Jareth)
In nine hours and twenty-three minute, you'll be mine!
(Sung)
I saw my baby, trying hard as babe could try. What could I do?
My baby's fun had gone, and left my baby blue. Nobody knew!
(Goblins and Jareth)
What kind of magic spell to use?
(Goblins)
Slime and snails. Or puppy dogs tails. Thunder or lightning.
(Jareth)
Then baby said,
(Everyone)
Dance magic dance. Dance magic dance.
Put that baby spell on me
(Goblins)
Slap that baby, make him free!
(Everyone)
Jump magic jump. Jump magic jump.
Jump that magic, jump on me.
(Goblins)
Slap that baby, make him free!
(Everyone)
Dance magic dance. Dance magic dance.
Dance magic dance. Dance magic dance.
Jump magic jump. Jump magic jump
Put that baby spell on me
A Piece Of Cake | Billy Hargrove x Reader | Labyrinth AU
So this fic is basically a Labyrinth x Stranger Things.
Summary: You and Billy had a big fight and he says something he thought he meant but really he didn't. He didn't think you'd actually be taken by the goblin king.
Warnings: Swearing
You and Billy had just gotten home from a party, and you guys were screaming at eachother.
"WHY DO YOU ALWAYS HAVE TO BE A BITCH!" Billy yelled at you, clearly furious.
"WHY CAN'T YOU JUST SHUT THE FUCK UP!" You yelled back towards him.
"MAYBE IF YOU WEREN'T SO GODDAMN POSSESSIVE, THEN MAYBE I WOULD!" He shot at you.
"YOU WERE BASICALLY EYE FUCKING THEM!"
"FOR FUCKS SAKE Y/N GROW THE HELL UP!"
"NO, YOU FUCKING ASSHOLE!"
"OH MY GOD, I WISH THE GOBLINS WOULD COME TAKE YOU AWAY, RIGHT NOW!" He suddenly yelled at you, turning his back away. He thought that you would say something else, but no. Just painful silence. "...Y/n..?" He asked, turning around finding out that you weren't there. He was panicking now. He then saw a small silhouette while hearing giggling behind him. Turning around finding nothing, he then hears it all around the house.
Rain, thunder and lightning makes it more intense as one of the windows bursts open, revealing a barn owl. But before he could process anything further, the owl turns into a person.
"Holy fucking shit." Billy whispered. "Are you the goblin king?" He asked the messy haired man. The only response he got was a smile. "Please bring my girlfriend back, please if it's all the same."
"Whats said is said." The king replied.
"I didn't mean it though." Billy pleaded.
"Oh you didn't!" He replied with cheek.
"Please bring her back! I'll do that whole labyrinth shit if it means I could get her back!" Billy said with determination. Then they were suddenly in front of the labyrinth.
"Alright, you have 13 hours in which to solve the labyrinth before your girlfriend becomes one of us forever. Such a pity." Jareth said, fading away.
"This will be a piece of cake. I'm sure of it." He said very un-confidently as he started to walk towards the labyrinth.
"I'm coming baby."
A Piece Of Cake | Billy Hargrove x Reader PART 2
Labyrinth x Stranger Things
Summary: Billy tries to find his way through the labyrinth, but faces a lot of obstacles along the way
Warnings: Swearing
Billy walked up to a pond which has a dwarf pissing in it. Fucking fabulous he thought.
"Oi" Billy said to him. The dwarf pulled up his trousers and looked at him.
"Oh, It's you." The creature groaned.
"Do you know where the door to the labyrinth is?" Billy asked the dwarf. He just ignored Billy and sprayed a fairy with something.
"How could you!" Billy exclaimed as he picked the small fae up into his hands. The fairy suddenly bit his hand. Billy dropped the fairy as he winced in pain. "It bit me!" Billy said shocked.
"Well what do you expect fairies to do?" The dwarf said.
"I don't know, maybe dumb shit like granting wishes." Billy spoke. He still felt some empathy for the little thing, so he called the dwarf, "Horrible."
The dwarf turned around and finally said something. "No i'm not! I'm Hoggle!" 'Hoggle' replied.
"Why aren't you telling me where the door is!?" Billy asked, obviously frustrated.
"Not if you ask the right questions." Hoggle said, trying to seem smart.
"How do I get through this labyrinth?" Billy questioned him.
"Aha! Now that's more like it!" Hoggle said while pointing the the door. "You can get in there." The dwarf spoke as Billy went into the labyrinth.
----
It was kind of strange really. Being wished away by your boyfriend then you actually getting taken by a David Bowie lookalike.
There were many goblins surrounding you. You were quite afraid of what was happening to be honest. You looked over at the assumed king of goblins, and he kept on looking at a 13 hour clock. Why the hell does it have 13 hours?
He then stood up and walked over to one of the goblins and started singing. He pointed at me and said something about a babe. Was he calling me babe? If so, then that's a bit wrong, dontcha think?
The only thing that was on my mind is that Billy is probably running this labyrinth. He's so fucking stupid.
I really hope he gets here in time.
Our Stupid Kids | Jareth x Afab! Reader
Summary: You and Jareth have two kids. They love hiding from you guys. Today was no different, except you guys look for them for hours and don't know where they are.
Warnings: Mentions of panic attacks
You had spent the last 3 hours looking for your son and daughter. It never took this long to find them, and you were really worried. Jareth was just as worried as you. He sent loads of goblins to look for them... and he sent them 2 hours ago.
You were running around the castle like a luni looking for them. Jareth was looking outside in the labyrinth, afraid they may have gotten lost there. The goblins were in the city and the entrance of the castle.
You came to the Escher room next and started to climb all the stairs, yelling for your kids. You couldn't find them there either, and you thought you were going to have a panic attack. You then had the thought that they are in normal hiding spots, so you started looking under tables and behind curtains.
You then made your way into yours and Jareth's room and looked in there. After looking under the bed, you walked towards the closet. You heard laughing coming from inside, and when you opened the doors, you found your kids there.
You sighed out in relief as you hugged your kids. "We were looking for you for 3 hours!" You said. Your kids started to laugh.
"I thought we were here for 30 minutes!" Your daughter said. Your son started giggling. A goblin then rushed into the room.
"We can't find the-oh you found them." The goblin said.
"Yeah I have." You replied. The goblin left the room, probably going to tell Jareth.
"It really took you this long to find us?" You son asked. You tiredly nodded and sighed. As if on cue, Jareth came running into the room, clearly worried.
"Oh thank god." He huffed out, grabbing your kids and hugging them. "Please don't do that again." He told them. They nodded and went to their rooms.
Jareth then sat next to you, also worn out, and kissed your cheek. "I'm so tired." You said, laying your head on his shoulder.
"Me too." He responded.
You ended up sitting there for ten minutes, at the brink of sleep.
I'm about to write a small fic about Jareth by the way.👍
I'll end up doing them all, but I need to know what you guys would want. <3
P.s. Sorry I haven't posted anything, but I'd like to thank you all for following me.
Jareth Headcanons (X Reader) 🔮
Just some fluffy headcanons about the goblin king from Labyrinth.
-He likes when you hold him in owl form. Your just walking with people looking at you, because you just have a barn owl in your arms like it's nothing. He makes cute owl noises that you love.
-You guys can talk for hours in the morning after waking up. In the labyrinth, he's been lonely and had no one to talk to apart from goblins before you entered the Labyrinth. So it's nice for him to socialize.
-You cuddle on his throne with him all the time. You could be walking past the throne room and he just says "Sit here with me, darling.". He is really touch starved, so every moment with you is precious.
-He's protective. Period. Sometimes when people get very touchy with you, he tips them in the bog of eternal stench without hesitation. On a scale of jealousy, he's about a 8/10.
-He really dislikes the goblins. It's funny watching the goblins getting kicked in the air or told to shut up. Anyone probably would have done the same.
-You guys slow dance in the night. You don't really know how to dance so he tries to teach you often. When you have a ball, it's quite nice dancing with your husband.
-Overall, He is a very loving person and would do anything to fulfill your every need. No one has wanted to stay with him in the labyrinth so when you decided to stay with him, he was quite shocked to say the least. But when you open up to each other, it's the best marriage you could ask for.
didnt know who to confess this to so uh MELLO I CHOOSE YOU

Still totally vibing on The Black Labyrinth though. Like such a worthy tribute to The Goblin Kink.... Eh... I mean The Goblin King. 😝😝
Originally I wanted to wait until Summer to post this, but I learned that before David Bowie was decided to be Jareth the Goblin King in the Labyrinth movie, they had considered other famous singers like Michael Jackson and Prince.
So I made a kinda playlist based off of the songs they made before the movie (1986 and before).
Here's Bowies original movie soundtrack
Underground
Magic Dance
Chilly Down
As The World Falls Down
Within You
And here's my weird idea, I tried picking them based on similar meanings, but idk.
Michael Jackson
P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing)
Thriller
Somebody’s Watching Me
Cinderella Stay A While
The Lady in My Life
Prince
When Doves Cry
Let’s Go Crazy
Jungle Love
