I just think that James and Barty had this weird one sided rivalry in school like James was everything Barty wanted to be effortlessly good at school well liked funny carefree the perfect son and like the day Barty found out about Jegulus was a bad day because suddenly his best friend has a new favorite person and it’s not him

he hated James and James had no idea why

Oh and I think that after awhile Evan had to explain to his idiot boyfriend that he definitely had a crush on both the boys and that’s why he was so obsessed with them it was actually because he hated James

Considering writing this

Anyway that’s how I think Evan x Barty x Regulus x James started

more barty x jeggy hcs???

- when they go to the gym barty does boxing and a lot of ab workouts, James does arm, back and leg workouts and regulus walks on the treadmill for an hour and wants to go home

- they all share clothes, reg loves stealing hoodies, barty likes james’ hats and t-shirts and James usually takes both of their socks because he always loses them

- they’re all gamers you can pry that hc from my cold dead hands (barty plays COD, regulus plays bg3 and James plays shit like outlast where’s he’s screaming at 2am)

- they all smoke together and take naps on the sofa

- James is up first to get breakfast, barty is up next bevause he’s a light sleeper and wants a cigarette and regulus has to be coaxed out of bed with food or kisses

- barty and James are both verses but reg is a bottom (he’s always in charge tho)

- James and barty like buying regulus new books to read and usually buy him one when they see a Waterstones nearby

- regulus dyes Barty’s hair for him whilst James shows him tiktoks

- they have a group chat that’s just nudes and memes

- James has brown eyes, Regulus has green eyes and barty has heterochromia (one green one brown)

- barty has the most tattoos and piercings but they each have a little cartoon stag, raccoon and cat for each other on their wrists

- barty and reg both carry glasses cases with cleaner for James wherever they go

- barty and James have frequent push up contests and arm wrestling matches that regulus doesn’t mind watching

- James makes them do a full rewatch of desperate housewives and Buffy once a year

- they go to Effie and Monty’s house once a month for dinner
