Yuta is alive
We won 😌
YESSSSS SIRRRRRRRRRRR (JJK 269)

HIROMI AND YUTA ARE ALIVE THANK YOU GEGE!!!!!
He is such a waste of space and time!
Kusakabe really struck a nerve with me when all he did was yapping sarcastically while watching the battle between Gojo vs. Sukuna, then he minimized Yuji's effort by saying his power and strength were thanks to Sukuna's, and AGAIN today, he blamed Gojo for the fact that he rejected the idea of child execution and eventually brought the chaos that could wipe off the nation because of that sole reason.
YOU KNOW WHAT? I think we need to start questioning what the FUCK was he doing ALL THIS TIME to save the young sorcerers from the torture of the sorcery world while we have Satoru and Yuki who were up against the Jujutsu higher ups + Tengen, finding a way to develop a curse-free world, and even sacrificed themselves for the sake of others' freedom.
let's start there.
[ch. 269 spoilers]
I agree that resurrecting a dead character out of nowhere can be a worse writing choice than processing their death but
Did yall rly think Hiromi Higuruma was dead?
Nobara Kugisaki?
That Gojo isn't coming back?
Despite all the hints?
Even Todo?
Hiromi didn't have so many clues, but unless a death is super explicit, like Junpei or Nanami's, it's not valid in my brain. (the fact that Sukuna's last slash didn't hit him, and Hiromi had begun to learn RCT, and he didn't get a last moment scene was enough).
Nobara got a bit of an afterlife scene, so that was rly scary, but after noticing the foreshadowing of Nishimiya's speech on a woman with a scar on her face, it was clear that Nobara would live with a scar on her face. Nitta resuscitated her, after all.
I still believe that Gojo is coming back - that's why no one is mournful or mentioning the shock they feel over him.
The hint with the page of Gojo with an infinity sign halo, the CT of creating sugar when Gojo was always eating, especially sugar, bc his brains needs it. That throughout heaven and earth, he alone is the honored one. And the clock in the last 2 chapters - (it seems to hint at Sukuna, and Gojo from what I've heard, which would add to my evidence that Gojo is Sukuna's next vessel, but idk).
I'm not mad about him being written off because he's still out there.
Choso though... I have a few theories on how he could still come back. And if he doesn't, then Yuuji better be sad about it.
My biggest question rn is... Where is Takaba?
And Tengen - since Sukuna swallowed Tengen, and I didn't see that little embryo in ch. 268.
It sounds like, since the condition was the death of all culling game players, that the merger won't be fulfilled - though some people had already transformed into cursed spirits. I imagine that anyone able to regulate their own CT is safe.

Had to go back and find this panel bc if Yuuji's gloves (that he borrowed from Yuuta) were in it...
They aren't.
But I love how it was just. To hide his missing fingers.
My guess that it was from the dead embryos he ate was so wrong akshdhsjajkskx I love getting humbled
So far we haven't seen
Gojo (heavily implied that he'll return though)
Shoko, Ijichi, and the guy with the sugar CT haven't been seen for a while, so I imagine they're busy elsewhere, possibly with Gojo
Takaba (who thought it would be funny to play dead after his dream performance w kenjaku)
Angel/Hana
Uraume (did they just disintegrate bc Sukuna did? Did their vessel get their life back?
Nitta (either of them, but the first year is probably still with Shoko, ig? Otherwise he'd probably be hanging with the other students)
Utahime
Gakuganji (he got higher up responsibilities now. Or cursed corpse activities?)
Larue & Miguel left already, idk where they are but they're fine.
Edit to add: Rika, with her RCT abilities, might also be with Shoko. But it isn't like she's always out anyway so her absence isn't that strange.
We didn't see Tengen in ch. 268 - so I have 2 guesses.
1) Tengen disintegrated, became dust with the rest of the slime.
2) Tengen is in Megumi.

Sukuna used Megumi as a shield to get hit with Gojo's domain - so maybe he did something similar when he ate Tengen. Or maybe Tengen just clung onto the most stable host.
There's also the issue that Megumi was given power to do the merger...
He might feel weird not just bc of the aftereffects of infinite void, but bc of Tengen, whose deal was that they kind of exist everywhere, sounds like a spacey mental state but I dunno.
Tengen wtf are you doing where are you
!! What if (regarding the dreamlike last chapters)
Yk how Yuuji wasn't allowed to know the plan bc what if through resonance Sukuna would learn of it?
I think its more likely for Megumi to experience that - especially after Nobara struck the last finger.
It would explain Megumi's laughter at Gojo's letter
And Yuuji's reaction to seeing Hiromi
Bc Sukuna can share awareness around his cursed objects (if they aren't sealed, afaik). And by the end, Megumi was no longer just dissociating in his innate domain. It's likely for him to know what Sukuna knows.
Which is how I was justifying the news about Toji etc (but just that, Sukuna learned about it during Gojo's afterlife scene- however)
It makes sense that conversations are being had around Sukuna's last finger. Buuutt I rly thought it was foreshadowed that in the end, Gojo becomes Sukuna's vessel (idk man, at this point I feel a lil insecure about that) - BUT if Megumi picks up on that resonance, on the fact that Gojo is actually very alive (I feel like he would want to preserve the last artifact, at least. I can't be convinced that he did try to hollow purple the fingies in the first place (though sukuna or Kenjaku may have placed a vow on them for protection) bc not even Satoru Gojo was aware of Kenjaku or his plan to manipulate a vessel into eating them).
And so, Sukuna's last finger is aware of Hiromi living, which makes Megumi know this, and Yuuji has that uncertain reaction. Like, I didn't put this here. (idk man idk what's going on).
Whether they're dying or fine, it seems like Megumi is going along with Yuuji's dream, subconsciously adding world-building elements to it himself - like how during kenjaku and Takaba's fight, there was soul resonance between them, yet they were still able to surprise each other.
Hell, maybe sukuna got to the airport as Gojo was leaving and decided to eat the last finger (it doesn't sound like any of them are in Sukuna's remains, considering how they turned like ash). The fact that Sukuna got no afterlife scene is suspicious - though I'm not sure whether he gets one at all, if any of his fingers are still out there.
I wonder if the absence / appearance of Yuuji's fingers, Megumi's scar, is based on how they view one another and themselves.
Yuuji's domain seemed to have that effect on sukuna - whether he appeared as Yuuji's doppelganger or in his own form.
Something else important about ch269 is that: everyone affected has a chance to speak their truth. Vent. Apologise. Offer forgiveness. Express regret. Share whatever it is on their mind or weighing on their hearts.
In modern terms, it’s called a “debrief”.
It helps reduce the impact of psychological and emotional trauma, through improving not only the communication and understanding between people, but also the underlying feeling of connectedness to one another.
This, promoting: Unity, cohesion, belonging.
Things the older generation didn’t have.
They didn’t even clean up the blood of Riko and Geto on the floor, ffs. They had over 10 years to do it.
Although the cycle of sorcery & curses may continue, the world is different because the young people who were fostered by the old generation are different. Blood sweat and tears, right? Gojo & Geto’s shared dream is coming true.
All the old folks who had their own interests at heart are now gone, people like Kusakabe who also prioritise the youth are at the helm of the ship.
There is hope...
Ok new theory on the last dreamlike chapters bc I can't believe that they are not real - but like Kenjaku said, in the rift between dreams and reality, the cursed realm or whatever -
Yuuji's domain... I think it leaked out (even Yuuta had issues when the barrier broke after he hollow purpled the barrier on Gojo's domain, and he had training). This was Itadori's first time using domain expansion - and he has Sukuna's barrierless domain muscle memory.
Just like the way Sukuna appeared as Yujikuna or as his true form, Yuuji and Megumi's scars and fingers keep changing (I think it's based on the way they perceive each other).
People who are saying "jjk turned into Disney kaisen"
**** YOU ALL!
You've been crying because many characters are dying, and now you're mocking at the manga because Higuruma is actually alive?
I'm sooo sorry for people who are VERY sensitive.
I hated the way people reacted to Higuruma.
I'm not against the fact that the end of the Sukuna fight was bad and very disappointing. I will never argue with this. But what is the problem with the characters returning or staying alive? If you like psychological torture, go and watch more torturous things for the characters. If you don't like jjk, stop watching it if you have no other reason than to insult and curse.
As a reminder, the author has stated that he will work on a happy ending, so it is not strange that some characters will return.
yuta nation we are so back

!!! JJK MANGA SPOILERS !!!
So I think we're def getting a spin off series, but I don't think our blue eyed king is gonna return, I think that Yuuta is gonna be the new head of the Gojo clan for the Clan Wars. In JJK0 Gojo and Yuuta had that "super distant relatives!" moment. What do y'all think?
gonna miss jjk
I have been reading jjk weekly since the end of the mahito-yuji fight in shibuya, and gotta say it’s been such a fun ride. Gege has created so many great characters, character moments, and fun plot ideas. I think the way he structures arcs has been really interesting, and, as a huge hxh obsessive, I love seeing how much he takes and remixes his favorite ideas from there. I’ve been consistently floored (and exasperated) by his love of cliffhangers, too, but honestly it’s a huge part of the fun because you can tell he really enjoys being as devious as possible.
spoilers below:
oh my god that better be Kenjaku that would be so funny please. Gege is such a troll and I’m going to miss being trolled by his story. You know he was chuckling while drawing that textbox damn.
also I’m seeing rumors of a part 2 a lot atm. I honestly doubt it, but I’d love to be proven wrong!
Longer final thoughts going into the last chapter:
I don’t need Gojo to come back. He is obviously teasing the comeback with the clock shananagans, but who knows
if its Gojo in Geto’s body, that’d be kind of disappointing to me, but the shipping fanart will go crazy so win-win
if it’s geto I will be bummed out bc he works best as a ghost haunting the narrative more than a character interacting with other characters imo
i was hyped for a downer ending, but honestly I really enjoyed the entire squad sitting down and reviewing their performance against Sukuna. Felt like a work meeting, and you can tell Greg likes writing their interactions. Every character pointing out the flaws in their plans, their regrets and opinions, feels very hxh-y. You know Gege just likes explaining a complicated, well thought-out plan (eg. all of Kenjaku’s character, the culling games)
haguruma(sp?) should be dead by all accounts, but oh well. It was never an airtight story, and I don’t need it to be. Good to see him in an arm sling and sad eyes.
