i am reading posts about gideon and the more i read the more i need atn to have the moment where kiriona realises that harrow cut her out of her brain not out of hate but love.
please, let her know that this was not malice and rejection of the only way gideon could have shown her love but an attempt to save her. preserve her as something valuable, loved.
im not asking for confession, kisses and whole nine yards. just this. kiriona knowing that harrow suffered all of htn to save her soul from being eaten. that she went to the tomb thinking that gideon would live and being happy with it.
in the hindsight, why was I surprised, if kiriona in the ntn is described to wear a white costume with silver accent, no wound visible, with a scarf, while every single art I have seen is showing her in white and gold, chussy out, no scarf in sight. why.
this fandom now is known for going "yeah, we know the canon look, but have considered that this one is HOTTER? and it conveys the despair and horniness better?"
it's either my memory failing me which is not surprising or the fandom is being very fandom about their artistic decisions. because tell me why while gideon was not mentioned wearing anything sleeveless in the first book every single art of her is showing her biceps?
i do understand that everyone is looking at the official art of the first book and it's showing gideon in sleeveless top. but still.
i guess it's side effect of her constantly crowing about her great physique but are we all aware that if harrow had seen her in something actually sleeveless she would have burst a blood vessel?
and guys they live on pluto. it's cold, they barely have any sun. gideon is casually mentioning that there is heat system that can be turned off in living rooms. i'm pretty sure that whatever she was wearing at the ninth was pretty covering.
and it's obvious that if the execution of his character was just a tinier bit worse, it would have been easier to equal him to a proper "big evil but a good dad" trope. like anyone outside of the fandom or with bad reading comprehension could just look at his actions towards gideon/kiriona on paper and go "but he's actually good? he's a good dad!"
i'm talking about this only because i don't want to even think about g/k feelings in this situation. like. he's the god. he's the emperor. he is also your depressed cringe dad who fucked admiral sarpedon. he gave you a new name that connects you to his roots and gave you his surname to show that you're family. one of the first thing you saw him do was murdering his lovers. he ordered one of his best friends to kill a girl you have a very important relationship with. he knows how you were conceived and didn't even try to kill you for that? he gave you everything you wanted before and it's rotten. he's not the best but he also is better than your mom who hated you and wanted to kill you and didn't see you as a child at all. like. where do you go from that especially if you are gideon who never had anything even resembling parental love before?
I will laugh so hard if it turns out that John is making a sincere effort at being a decent parent and it's such an awful outcome for Gideon that I feel like it's plausible. He's giving off such man who thinks of himself as a good guy confronted with oops baby vibes.

Kiriona is legit just how someone speaking te reo Māori would pronounce “Gideon”. You roll the R a little bit and it should sound a lot more like “Kee-dee-oh-nah” sorry idk how to properly write out phonetics but you get it

What does Gideon mean by uppier? What did he do to her eyes?? I haven't read the books but I don't mind spoilers (so pls explain what happened in that scene, I need to know!)
Also Gideon with that hairstyle to do nice, it works so well for her... I dig it a lot.
In the third book, Gideon is resurrected by John, and I think that he would have made his own adjustments to her appearance (that not canon btw, its just my thoughts and guesses)
