“Niklaus.” Elijah enters Niklaus’ art room to see him painting rather harshly. “Why are you in here brooding?”
“I can’t.” Klaus grumbles out.
“Can’t what Klaus.” Elijah asks not understanding what his brother meant.
“I can’t go out there and face her. Not after what I did.” Klaus refuses to face his daughter after what the winter witches made him do.
“She doesn’t blame you.” Elijah tells his younger brother.
“She should. You all should.” Klaus shakes his head, never turning to even glance at his brother.
“I won’t blame my brother for accidentally hurting his daughter, my niece while under a spell done to him by some particularly bitchy witches.” Elijah shakes his head, he would never blame him for what happened.
“I almost killed her.” Klaus’ voice sounded strained. He was not coping well with the events that happened.
“Y/n is fine. Alive and healthy.” He wanted to assure him that his daughter was okay. That what the witches had him do didn’t really hurt her. “She misses you, and would like to see you.”
When Elijah received no answer from Klaus he let out a tired sigh and left him alone for now. Knowing his brother Elijah knew Klaus needed time to himself.

(2 weeks later)
“Dad?” Y/n called out entering her dad’s bedroom and seeing him sitting at the foot of his bed she asks. “Can I come in?”
“You shouldn’t be this close.” He tells her after she entered his room anyway when he didn’t answer.
“The spell's been broken for weeks. You’re fine now.” Y/n tells him moving to sit down next to him.
“You shouldn’t get to close.” Klaus scooted over on the bed afraid to be to close and hurt her again.
“You wouldn’t hurt me.” She shakes her head fully 100% positive that he’d never hurt her in his right mind.
“I did.” He says in a wobbly tone, trying not to break down.
“Not out of your own control. I know that. So should you.” Y/n told him with a reassuring smile.
“After the things I did, you should hate me.” Klaus shook his head not believing that she could want to be near him.
“Hate you?” Y/n raised an eyebrow at his words. She shakes her head. “I could never hate you.”
Once Y/n realized that they weren’t gonna get anywhere right now, that she was gonna have to let her words sink in first. So she got up and left.
Later that night Y/n was in her room under the covers on her phone when her bedroom door opened and she saw her father Klaus enter. Y/n put down her phone and adjusted herself sitting up in bed.
“So, you don’t hate me?” Klaus asks as he sits down on the side edge of her bed. He didn’t look at her right away afraid that she’d take it back.
“No daddy. I don’t.” Y/n shook her head with a warm smile on her face as he looked up at her.
“You should.” A tear slipped down his cheek as he looked at her with so much remorse in his eyes.
“I shouldn’t.” Y/n tilted her head smiling at him warmly and grabbed his hand in hers. “It wasn’t your will to hurt me.”
“I’m sorry.” Klaus apologized with more tears welling up in his eyes.
“You're forgiven.” Y/n told him squeezing his hand tightly.
Klaus pulled her into a hug, it had been 2 weeks since he last touched her and it made him feel alot better.
