Chemistry class is so boring its been modified to my art class
Look, I don’t mind making König all soft and cute when he’s not at work. I actually find it pretty funny.
But please do not forget that this man is absolutely a menace too. And he would be unapologetically all the time.
What are you gonna do? Stop him? Psh, that man is a beast that literally breaks spines over his knee. How are you gonna stop him from stealing all the coffee? Ask him nicely?
That’s what I thought.
This man definitely listens to German rock music and twirls his knives. He does pranks for sure and makes very dark jokes.
Kortac Headcanons:
They all have a secret handshake
Just seems like it, it can be adapted to fit all of them at once
It’s actually quite impressive to watch
Food shall be stolen, it doesn’t belong to you
Unless it says your name and that it’s from a family member will they leave it alone (most of the time, Oni steals sometimes)
They all get along pretty well, but some of them don’t share anything about their past at all
König, Oni, and Fender are perfect examples of this. You will not know anything and they will not share
Sometimes though they answer super vague to mess with people
All of them learn some of each others language, not great at all but know ‘thanks’, yes, no, and a few curse words.
Everyone agrees Arabic is super difficult and makes no sense
(My dad is Arab and I tried to learn it. You want to make a word plural? Ok, there are 16 different ways to do it and no rules to know when to use it. Memorize the plural and singular and that’s it. It’s bs.)
(Also, you leanr standard but no one speaks that, they speak slang and it’s horrible. But I do know some)
Sometimes care packages from family will show up for some of them. It’s often books, foods specific to that region, and photos of family/important moments.
König had a sister who’s a ballerina and she’s amazing.
Callisto and Stiletto met her once and they hit it off. Two badass mentors yes please.
There was definitely vulture shock on all fronts. Something harmless to everyone would greatly offend one specific person.
There were a lot of presentations about office etiquette in the first months.
Oni and Horangi hate each other and do not try to get along. But if you make fun of Asian Countries or are like ‘all Asians look the same’ they will become a force to be reckoned with.
Been reading some König fics online and I feel like the portrayal of his social anxiety is treated as being shy. Which isn’t to say they’re bad people/writers, just that they don’t really understand what it means and what the differences are.
I have some social anxiety (not severe at all so grain of salt), but I do know how it works for me.
It’s not wanting to bother people even if they work there because you don’t want to bother/talk. It’s practicing what to say or what to ask. Rehearsing and then going in. It’s beating yourself up for something so embarrassing you did that others might not have noticed or cared about.
Again, I want to stress that there is nothing wrong with the writers/people who misinterpret it. It’s the kind of thing that only people who have it can really accurately portray it. This is also how it affects me, this isn’t how it universally affects everyone.
I’ve been reading a fic with Ghost and Riley and my König obsessed brain is like ‘give him a wolf, do it’. So I am:
Her name is Königin, Queen in German. (I used Google translate, let me know if there’s a more proper name)
König found her when she was a puppy and he was 15. It was during the winter when he was on break at his Grandma’s place
She lives in rural mountain village and took in the puppy with no issue
König took care of her the whole time and took her home with him (his mother was reluctant but relented)
König has a sister who loves Koenigin but doesn’t have as strong of a bond since she lives with their grandma
She is very protective of König and his sister but prefers König
When Koenig joined the military, he submitted paper work to have her trained for personal protection, search and rescue, and bomb detection. (Don’t really care if this isn’t possible, let it love my dream)
She did amazing and was able join Koenig in the field.
She memorizes people by their smell rather than sight, so she recognizes Koenig whether he wears the hood or not
She is massive and loves to snuggle and lick people, but will listen to Koenig no matter what without having to repeat commands
She can do basic stuff, but also bite, growl, crawl, and jump. (Pulling things out of my ass rn. My grandparents have a dog and I love her but omg I can’t think of shit rn.)
She only does this with Koenig, and sometimes with his family. But will 100% listen to König ever time the first time.
When Koenig joined KorTac, she had to be left with his family in the mountains. Koenig was very sad but he held out.
Whenever Koenig comes home to her, she’ll freeze and snap her head in his direction, totally still. Once she sees him and Koenig acknowledges her, she will run and jump on him.
Horangi loves her and she likes him almost as much as Koenig, but he still holds first place.
More Kortac:
König gets along really well with Askel and Klaus for obvious reasons. If any of them heads home, they’ll bring back the good beer and treats that they all know
Everyone will eat whatever is in the fridge, nothing is safe. Maybe if it has a not from a family member will some of them leave it alone. But that is no guarantee.
Horangi, in an attempt to ‘chill Oni out’, slipped marijuana drops into his tea and got him high as hell.
Oni laid on the common room couch for 6 hours without moving and said the weirdest shit.
Horangi was there the whole time and loved every moment, unfortunately, some others didn’t agree
Declan, Stilletto, Askel, Klaus, and Horangi openly laughed while Calisto and Zero were the only ones who didn’t find it funny at all
Oni quickly got Horangi back by replacing some of his nice kimchi with weird cheap stuff he found for online. He mixed it together to blend the flavors
At dinner that night, Horangi got half way through before leaving to throw up. Oni laughed the whole time
Horangi quickly returned to dinner and tackled him over the table, attempting my to shove some of the bad kimchi down his throat.
The yelling foreign languages at each other was funny. Mostly since it was Oni mocking Horangi and Horangi yelling rather than vice versa.
Horangi has seen everyone’s face, mostly because he doesn’t knock and has weird hours
This includes Ghost, even if they only worked together for a week
Fender is the only one who’s seen almost everyone’s face because they showed it to him willingly, König will wear a medical mask but won’t show his face
The medics know a lot of secrets about everyone, not important ones though, very stupid ones
Know Roze stole a loaf of bread from her family’s kitchen when she was 8 and felt bad so she tossed it in a lake
Know Zero once a had a crush on a middle school girl when he was in elementary and tried hard to get her attention but failed miserably
They won’t tell anyone because of Patient-Client Confidentiality and consequently become the secret keepers of the group
König only one who has seen Fender’s face.
KorTac tries to have dinner together and push the tables into a square, it’s really fun and they have game night (without gambling)
König has the highest tolerance and is has never gotten past drunk before.
He doesn’t really get drunk, he just gets wobbly and that’s all. No one knew the first time til he tried to get up and immediately tripped over his own feet, stayed on the floor and groaned, saying ‘damn, drank to much’
No one could remember how much he drank that night.
Everyone once saw him have like 14 beers (he has his own stash from home that’s strong and no one else likes) and said he felt tipsy and didn’t know his limit
Declan and Oni come in close second and Declan will brag about this to anyone who listens
Stilletto and Horangi are third but they don’t really care. Calisto, Zero, and Gromsko are the same way but have a lower tolerance
Zeus is really bad at drinking games and refuses to play, so they don’t really know his limit
He has admitted to being in the third place group, much to Declan’s amusement
Hutch has hacked into devices with weird search history’s. He doesn’t talk about it but if drunk enough he will tell some of the weirder non sexual ones.
Though, there are a few he will never speak of because thinking about them makes him shiver.
König: *picks up Ghost*
Ghost: put. Me. Down. Now
König: *puts him down and runs away*
Ghost, to the camera: I pick people up to assert dominance
Ghost: *picks up Price*
Price: *too stunned to speak*
Ghost: *picks up Alejandro*
Alejandro: *instant panic because he has trust issues*
Ghost: *picks up Gaz*
Gaz: Well this is happening
Ghost: *picks up Rudy*
Rudy: *Accepts his fate and just goes limp* Wake me up when we get there
Ghost: *picks up Soap*
Soap: HELLO SAILOR
Now the recruits run to König when Ghost is being extra harsh. It becomes a game of ‘how quick can I find and be in the same room as König without getting caught by ghost’. König doesn’t even notice. The escapees and König have to be in the same room and Ghost will move on since he’s afraid of König. But, this unfortunately only postponed judgement instead of fully getting away.
König is scared of Ghost in the beginning but he quickly realizes he’s bigger and stronger than Ghost. And that Ghost is actually scared of him. His aggressive comments was an attempt to assert dominance and hide his fear of the bigger man. One day Ghost is yelling at recruits and König decides that he doesn’t like seeing the young men and women close to tears.
“Such the fuck up.”
Ghost turned to look at him, their eyes meeting. König walked right up to him and glared down at him. Ghost glares but König could see in his eyes that he was screaming internally.
“What did you say?”
König leans closer, “Didn’t you hear me? Shut. The fuck. Up.”
The recruits faces were priceless. The shock and wonder as König challenged the meanest man on base. König could see the scared little boy in Ghost’s eyes and that he was doing everything in his power to not back down and submit.
“Lieutenant Riley.”
Ghost breathes out and steps back, looking at Price. Conor was with him but he said nothing, just stood there with his arms crossed. König glares one last time at Ghost before walking to Conor. The man pats Price’s shoulder before they start to walk off. Once they were far enough away, Conor spoke.
“That was… interesting.”
“I don’t like bullies.”
“I can see that.”
How I think of it is that he can’t handle the situations bc he doesn’t know what to do.
When he has a mission, there is a clear subject of conversation and point. Nothing is left up for chance. He can tell people what to do, give them info, and communicate bc there is a point to jt.
In normal convo, there is a lot of openess and no point/subject until it is established. So it’s harder for him to talk freely bc i don’t think he knows how.
That’s just how I see it anyway.
I don't understand. Konig has a strong social anxiety, if we turn to the term, then in general terms it means - a person's fear of social situations that cause anxiety and fear. Konig is a member of the PMCs and performs various operations. Based on this, how can he interact with people and situations with social phobia? Have you ever wondered this question?
Good question! First off i hope we get to see more from König and other multiplayer operators in the future. You would think so with how popular König is. With that i hope we get more to their story, in some way. Cause also; Going by König's (multiplayer) bio. since that's all we got, i'm kind of hesitant to answer your question in depth. Social Anxiety is a sensitive subject and i don't wanna do wrong by the ones affected. Also the severity of it might differ per person and the way one deals with it. But with my own experience in mind and with König's bio+wiki;
I think he gets alot of energy at what he's good at, that's what pulls him through. Being in the military also means you have to communicate, cause lives are at stake. Saying; To me he is not incapable of social situations, but he rather 'struggles' find his way through them. That brings me to this; (which no longer is on his CoD bio, but IS on his wiki :3)

^(hc)Once the mission is over/succes, which in this case was König standing in a room with a group of hostages he just saved, he MIGHT'VE not found the (right) words to reassure/convince the hostages himself cause they all looked at him.. with fear. Gonna stop here :) Thank you for asking!
Jacks Lament from Nightmare Before Christmas remind me of Ghost and König.
Idk why the words remind me of them

141+König and Nikolai
This was like the worst teaser ever! Like you can't just leave me like that!!!
Hybrid AU with Ragdoll!Reader and Siberian-mix!Konig
Reader is a rescued cat hybrid that Laswell's sister in law has been taking care of for the last 3 months. When she meets this little ragdoll kitty, so bright and friendly and curious, she immediately thinks of the 141. Hybrids have a lot uses in the government. Sometimes combative, sometimes therapeutic. The 141 could use a companion animal, given the close call Soap recently had and the general trauma the whole squad has.
With the kitty's permission and cooperation, they assess her as a possible therapy placement. She tests so well and so high that Laswell (again, with consent) immediately starts paperwork to place her with the 141 before even bringing it up to Price.
He's a bit skeptical at first. Even without being a combat hybrid, their jobs are high stress, very dangerous, and not very stable. But Laswell convinces him to at least meet Ragdoll.
They do introductions at the sister-in-law's house, where the kitty will be most comfortable. Ragdoll takes one sniff of him and starts purring like a little engine. He's visibly surprised, and Laswell can barely hold back her grin as the kitty climbs into his lap. They spend the rest of the afternoon discussing arrangements while his new hybrid naps because obviously he can't say no now.
Price becomes her primary handler. They move her to his barrack and give her a week to settle in, but she's not a skittish thing by any means. Wants to follow him everywhere, curls up in his bed, meows sadly at the door when he leaves her alone. It becomes clear very quickly that the usual introduction manuals are too slow for her.
Kitty meets Kyle next. Again, instant purrs. She presses her cheek into his palms, then wriggles her way closer to brush up against his cheek. Lets out a little "mrrp!" when he stutters out a pleasantly surprised, "hello there." She nibbles at the brim of his hat and grins when he gently redirects her, chirping at this fun new friend.
Two for two, Price and Kyle decide to introduce her to Simon and Johnny. They let her explore the common room first, get comfortable, and then call the other two in. Kitty watches from behind Price as Simon and Johnny enter.
Johnny is a dog hybrid with Simon as his primary handler. Price has faith that his sergeant will behave well with the new kitty, but he's not sure of what her reaction will be. Johnny's obviously, visibly excited, tail wagging, but Simon gets him to sit and wait while she makes the first move.
It takes absolutely no time at all for her to pad out from behind Price and approach. Simon goes first, offering a hand. But she barely even sniffs him before cuddling up to him, pawing curiously at his mask. He lets her, clicking his tongue when she dislodges it a bit, but then he gently nudges her towards Johnny.
His ears are perked forwards, tail still swishing. Kitty's ears are twitching, eyes big and curious. But her tail is up and curved curiously, not even a little fluffed. She gets in real close to his face, sniffs, then bumps her forehead against his chin. Which is when he loses patience and licks a big stripe up her cheek. She mews indignantly, ears going airplane mode, but thankfully doesn't swat at him.
It literally couldn't go better. She's a perfect fit.
Over the next few months she settles in with them happily, an absolute dream of a hybrid. Not very verbal, at least through human speech, but perfectly communicative and incredibly friendly.
She chirps whenever one of the 141 enters a room, has a different tone for each of them. Purrs if one of them so much as looks at her, all slow blinks and little smiles. Chitters when she sees them running outside through the windows.
Even grooming is relatively easy. She lets them brush out her floofy tail without much fuss, only trying to retreat if they catch a tangle. Readily gives up her hands to trim her claws. Even opens her mouth for them to brush off her fangs after raw meals.
She curls up with Simon on bad days, warm and purring, breathing little puffs of air against his collarbone. Lounges with Kyle after hard missions, nuzzling against him while he pets her soft ears. She spends hours upon hours in Price's office, curled up on his lap while he does paperwork or talks over the phone, kneading biscuits into his stomach.
Her friendship with Johnny is maybe the most surprising. They play wrestle just about every night, rolling around on the rough carpets in the common room and nipping at each others ears. She'll pounce on him, little teeth flashing, but almost always get bodied by his larger stature. The others will let them play until one of them - usually Johnny - gets too excited and makes the other yelp. At that point, Price or Simon will usually scoop one of the hybrids up and tsk at them for getting rough.
She's the 141's precious kitty, sweet and friendly and outgoing. The whole base knows her, though she's never far from one of her boys. And they know what it means if Ragdoll doesn't like someone.
It's rare, which is why it raises neon red flags. The first time is a new recruit that reaches to pet her without introducing himself first. She twists around on him, but usually even that would be recoverable. Except when he keeps trying to touch her, she gets a whiff of him and hisses, scrambling away.
The guy doesn't last long.
It happens again a few weeks later with a nurse meant to be giving her checkup. She gets low to the table, tail poofing up, and growls low in her throat. When the nurse rolls her eyes and tells Price to just hold his hybrid still so they can get things over with, he knows instantly that his little ragdoll was right to react that way.
With that in mind, it's no surprise that no one trusts Philip Graves when he visits their base and she takes an instant dislike to him. He introduces himself correctly, but she still hard reverses away from him, nose scrunched up. Ears back, tail fluffing up, she slips behind Price and glares from around his arm.
Problem is, Graves is used to dog hybrids. He's great with them. Kitties... not so much, even with a manual. Ends his week at the base with a couple of proper bite marks and an itchy scratch on his hand.
Given her reaction, Simon and Johnny aren't too shocked when he betrays them in Las Almas.
When a team from KorTac is scheduled for a joint assignment, the 141 is bracing for a similar reaction. Especially because they have their own cat hybrid - some big mixed breed.
Kyle even suggests keeping Ragdoll inside for initial introductions on the tarmac, but they all know that's not actually viable. Their kitty wouldn't talk to them for the rest of the day if they left her out like that.
So Price double checks that her little bell-collar is on and brings her out to meet the KorTac team.
Their cat hybrid is even bigger than expected - no wonder he's a combat placement despite being a domestic breed. He keeps his face hidden behind a big black hood with cutouts for his ears, fluffy tail slightly tangled-looking.
Price hasn't even finished introductions with the KorTac team when she makes a rolling little chur noise, bright and curious. The bigger hybrid zeros in on her instantly, ears flicking. She pads out from behind the captain and slips away before he can catch her. Any calls for her to come back are fully ignored.
She trots right up to the Austrian and mrrps again, pausing mid-step, waiting for a response. The other hybrid doesn't respond - at least he doesn't seem to.
"Sorry, kitten, but he doesn't really do the cat noises," Declan tries to tell her. But he's also ignored, and no sooner has he spoken than she's getting into the other cat's space, continuously making little "brr" noises.
And then to everyone's shock, he's bending down to greet her in return, nuzzling her cheek and forehead through the hood. She starts to purr, pressing up close, tail swishing lazily. A noise erupts from him, deep and rough, rattling in his chest. Johnny jumps and snatches at her shirt, dragging her back to the safety of their team.
She mewls sadly, arms extended to reach for him.
"He's growling, Doll," Johnny corrects, arms curling around her middle. For the first time ever she starts to wriggle. "He's too big for you to mess with."
"I... wasn't growling," the Austrian pipes up. "I apologizes if I caused alarm."
Johnny shoots him an incredulous look.
"Then what was that?" Kyle asks, confused.
"I don't... often purr."
Price takes one look at their still-wiggly kitty and the Austrian leaning towards her, as if wanting to follow, and pinches the bridge of his nose.
"Shit."
