Chan's life was determined before he had a chance to consider it. His family wasn't well-off. They struggled from early on to get food on their plates. He knew from when he was a child that he had to support his siblings because his parents refused to do so.

So that’s exactly what he did. He got into SNU with a full scholarship, secured a good job, and built a stable life with six figures coming in annually to his bank account, providing enough money to support his siblings’ dreams.

But what did it all get him?

Nothing!

He sacrificed his teens and his twenties because his father felt the need to be a raging alcoholic, and now he stands in the middle of Gangnam in his beautiful flat with its polished floors. But he lacks the most important thing in life: happiness.

To be truthful, he lacks a lot of things, but happiness takes the cake. If someone asks him, he lacks friends too. But our dearest Boo Seungkwan would like to disagree about that. In Chan’s defense, friends are absolutely not equal to friend (just a difference of ‘s’, as our dear ‘Kwanie’ said. Plus, his multiple personalities make up for the said lack of ’s’, which further raises the question as to why the man does not go for a checkup, as it seems he has self-diagnosed DID. We shall never know).

Chan is happy about his brothers doing what they like, though. It’s not that hard to not be happy when he literally raised them. Sacrifices need to be made, he has realized; some just make more than others, and there is nothing one can do about that. He accepts that he is indeed grateful for the friend he has made, the one who has stayed with him and accepted him as he is.

Now, it may sound sappy, and Chan swears he will never tell this to Seungkwan, but he has indeed helped him through the thick and thin of life. All those late-night drinking sessions and ugly crying have brought him to this stage in life where he thinks of the boy as more of a family than anyone else. He helped him when Chan’s life was falling apart, and he also was there to scold him back to the right track when no one believed in him, not even himself.

Although he lacks happiness, he is fine with that (he at least has Boo Seungkwan). He can live with being sad; he already has!

This is where you came in, the reason for Chan’s genuine smiles, from back in college to five years ago. It was a pretty serious relationship that you both had. Chan loved you. He had plans of making you his wife. For God’s sake, he was in a relationship with you for almost ten years! But somewhere along the way, he messed up. He became the exact thing he had hated all his life.

He became a person like his father.

You, being the nice kind, tried your best to stop him from spiraling down the rabbit hole of bad habits. But alas, it takes two to tango, and if he didn’t want to be better, no one, not even God himself, could do it for him.

It took losing you to realize how messed up his life had become.

--

“Chan, I’m heading out. Dinner’s in the fridge—please actually eat it this time. We don’t need two meal skippers in this household,” you quipped, watching as Chan chuckled and gave you a quick giggle inducing peck before returned his attention to the document he’d been typing for the past hour.

“Sure thing, Your Majesty. Your command shall be dutifully followed!” he exclaimed with a mock salute, drawing out another laugh from you. With a playful ruffle of his hair and another peck on his cheek, you left the apartment to begin your night shift at the hospital.

Chan, unlike you, has just started his new job after completing his MBA. It’s been tough, but he’s persevered, and soon enough, you both will be able to enjoy the luxuries he could only dream of growing up.

Your fifth anniversary is approaching faster than ever, and now Chan finally has the means to fulfill your dream of a trip to Europe. The pressure of this new job is more than the last one, but getting those tickets would be a walk in the park now.

Quickly finishing his document and mailing it to the head of the department, he immediately goes to check those flight ticket prices and hotel prices. He releases a happy sigh the minute he realizes that it’s exactly what he had expected the prices to be. So, without wasting a single moment, he buys those tickets. He knew this gift would make you happier than ever.

The next month, you had been notified about the expensive purchase only because you had to get a leave from your job, and you obviously can’t disappear for two weeks unannounced. He, in reality, had no plans to inform you about anything, but he couldn’t interfere with your job either.

But at the end it was worth it, the look on your face the minute you were informed about the trip. Oh, if only Chan could frame it and keep it away from the world, only if he could keep you near him and never let you go. But he didn’t think of that then. No, he was happy he had told you earlier.

The happiness radiating off you as you kept going on and on about the clothes you needed to buy, all the foods you were going to try once there. It was what helped him keep going throughout the day, even though the work became tiring with every passing minute.

If only he could have stopped time and lived in that moment forever.

—

One thing he never realized is how demanding his job would be once he got into a higher position. The calls kept him up at night; they came at the most ungodly of times, and Chan was expected to pick them up, because he always did.

You never complained; it was fine by you. If anyone understood him, it was you. Both of you had highly demanding jobs, and nothing could beat the expectations your colleagues had on you both.

But what he had not counted on was those calls interrupting your trip. During the entirety of your anniversary, he was glued to that phone of his, never once able to leave it. It was one problem at the office or the other.

Again, you kept your mouth shut, enjoying your own company as your boyfriend busied himself with work in the hotel room.

That was the last trip you both had gone on. You figured that it was too much to ask from someone who had so much work to do. But still, you understood his hunger to do better in life. You understood that someone had to compromise in the relationship and wholeheartedly accepted that it had to be you.

Coming to think of it, it was not supposed to be like this. Never! Both of you were supposed to communicate and figure out what your relationship was supposed to mean. But somewhere along the line, it just became regular sex and nothing else. When you talked about this with your friends, all of them had the same reaction.

‘Leave him!’ they had told you, ‘he wouldn’t change, he prefers his job more than you.’

It was a regular thing now. But you were scared. All the years you had invested in the relationship, you never wanted it to become what it had. You had held out hope that one day Chan would notice you. He would realize he had a girlfriend who also needs his attention as much as his job.

It didn’t take too long for those dreams to come true, though.

—

One night, you sat down with the man, asking him about the changes in his life. You begged him to look your way beyond the times he made love to you. It was an intense conversation, filled with words that neither of you actually meant, but hurt you both equally.

That night brought you both another few years, or that’s what you think. It became better, both your lives and the relationship. You both would talk more, spend time with each other, laugh with each other, and go about your days with lovesick smiles on your faces. Although none of your jobs became less hectic, it still was as painstaking as ever, but the scenery in your shared home was peaceful. It was both of your comfort zones.

What neither of you realized, this peace that you both had brought back into your lives, was fickle. In order to keep it like that, both of you had to put in some effort.

—

It slowly became visible to both of you how much more effort this relation of yours needed. Both of you saw the way your paradise was crumbling down bit by bit. Nights became lonely for you. Chan, being the perfectionist he is, would be stuck up in his office until the rays of sun hit the glass windows, reminding him of the fact that he indeed had stayed the night in his office. The hectic job took everything away from him. It stripped him of his identity, and slowly it was also stripping his happiness and sanity away. It was like the darker times had hit both of you again.

It was then that he suddenly passed out on the streets due to extreme fatigue and was brought immediately into the nearest hospital, which was the one you worked at. Lo and behold, you were the nurse on emergency room duty that day. This was the first time you saw the love of your life in that state; you saw what this new job had done to him. How it had taken this happy and healthy person you knew and turned him into this sick, unhappy, and overworked person. Your helplessness mocked you in your face. At night, you stayed by his side after the doctors had given their verdict about him being too overworked. You took care of him like never before, making sure to make him take an ample amount of rest.

Sadly, the industry is ruthless. As soon as the employers became aware that their once highly valuable employee’s usefulness had diminished, they ultimately opted to terminate him. Although Chan claims there were some more internal politics involved in this sacking, there was no way he could have evaded it.

Both of you soon realized it was the best thing that could have happened to him. While being the worst experience he could ever go through in his corporate career.

You stayed by his side through every hurdle though. You never once let him feel the need to be more than what he already was. But life was giving both of you a hard time.

It took Chan another month to get a new job. But only this time, it was a better, more important position in a better company. This is when life took off for both of you again. With Chan back on track, equipped with the newfound knowledge of not working more than necessary, he was on a roll. Almost unstoppable.

This change also affected your relationship, but positively this time. Chan and you would go on constant dates and enjoy each other’s company way more than ever.

—

It was nearing your seventh anniversary. Both of you had talked about getting married and starting a family enough times for him to know this was the perfect time for him to propose.

So, on the day of your seventh anniversary, he had planned to take you to this fancy Italian place. He claimed that you deserved only the best. No one could ever argue with him about that. You, along with Seungkwan, had been by his side for so long that he had forgotten the time when he didn’t have you both. Nothing, absolutely nothing, would change that fact. With that it brought him to the most important question of that year.

“But what ring do I buy her?” the stressed boy asked his best friend.

“Wow, I wasn’t informed about the fact that y/n suddenly had become my girlfriend!” Seungkwan exclaimed sassily.

“Dude, you can calm down. She is still my girl, ain’t no way you are getting her. Find a girl of your own,” the shorter boy retorted back.

Why am I being asked about her preference for a ring then, huh?”

“Because she said, and I quote, ‘if you buy me an expensive engagement ring that I can’t even wear out because it looks too expensive, I will castrate you’,” Chan said seriously, bringing out a seal-like laugh from the back of Seungkwan’s throat.

“Do something meaningful for her then, you dumb fuck,” making Chan almost cringe at the scolding. Without letting the boy talk, his best friend continued, “Put in some effort and do something that shows you care, without having to spend a copious amount of money. I have no idea what you should do, but bro, if it were up to me, a girl would for sure get a ring no matter what!”

Now, this made him think. It made him think hard. But even after all that thinking, he couldn’t come up with a good idea for an alternative for an engagement ring.

It was not until the next Saturday when he was sitting on the couch waiting for you to choose a movie for the weekly movie night, did he stumble upon the perfect idea for a ring? Like any usual person, the man was scrolling through TikTok when he found out that one could make rings out of clay.

Perfect!

If you didn’t want a diamond ring, you shall get a clay ring. For you might catch the sun lacking one day, but not Chan, never Chan!

—

This kick-started the learner phase of Chan’s life once again. He would visit the pottery classes every week because he needed to excel at the art to mold the perfect ring. One suitable for daily wear and also because this hobby brought him more peace than ever.

He made some friends here; they were fun to hang out with. You had met all these new people flooding into his life. He would parade about the with his hand on you showing you off proudly.

“Who wouldn’t?” he would ask whenever someone pointed it out. This question had the power to make him start ranting about you at any given point. So much so that after a point, people stopped asking him about you, no matter the context.

Because, oh boy, was he in love.

--

It took him one year and some friendships to finally complete learning everything there was to learn about pottery. In the course of that time, he had littered your shared house with his creations.

Oh, you wanted to buy a new bowl because you saw it on Instagram? No fear, Chan shall make it this instant. Oops, your favorite coffee mug broke? Chan has come to your rescue with a better, scientifically cute, usable, and overall better mug for you.

The creative spark of the boy never dimmed down, nor did his extroverted nature. Every other day, he would be out with his new friends, so much so that even Boo Seungkwan noticed. You both had chats with each other about the changes in Chan’s life over a cup of tea whenever Seungkwan would come over.

To say that you both were happy about him enjoying life would be an understatement. You had seen the pain the man had gone through in his life. It only made sense for him to have the best of the best experiences when he had the opportunities.

But again, as people say, one should do everything in moderation. It seems that Chan could do nothing in moderation. He would work himself half to death. In this case too, he started drinking and partying himself half to death. The outings that were done to unwind after a long hard day became parties that were making the day even longer.

The friends that helped him overcome the pressuring environment of his office became the ones who would pressure him to go way out of his comfort zone, all for the wrong reasons. People say twenties are times when people experiment with their life and gain new experiences.

The same was applicable for Chan too, the only difference being he was learning different ways of spiraling down holes that are hard to climb up from. The hilarious part being, these were the holes that he had carefully dug out himself.

It’s not like you never stopped him, because you did. The minute you realized these new friends were pushing Chan’s limits in the wrong way, you didn’t waste a second to tell him.

“I think you should calm down with this partying and stuff. It’s unbelievably bad for your health,” you had told him one night when he had come home drunk out of his wits.

“I know how to have fun, not my fault you don’t!”

The boy had shouted at you before collapsing on the couch. Realizing it was a waste of time to even try and talk to him in this state, you tried again the next day when he was far more sober.

“Do you remember what happened yesterday?” you ask Chan, to which he shakes his still-hungover head and winces. Sighing, you continue, “Chan, you can’t let them get to you like this. Moderation is the key here. Please don’t overdo anything, I beg you!” You hugged him, trying to coax him to understand where you were coming from. He obviously hugged you back and promised you to keep your advice in mind the next time they asked him out.

He didn’t. He swears he tried to. But the peer pressure got to him. Before he could even back off, they had already hauled his ass to the bar. He never wanted to disappoint you. So he chose to accept the most coherent plan his drunk mind could formulate: the plan to lie to you.

—

Your seventh anniversary had come and gone a year ago. The only gifts he could provide you that day were a fancy dinner and a solid promise that he would indeed get you the greatest ring you will have ever seen in your whole life. Now the time had come. The time to prove his skills. Those skills he spent an entire year honing.

During this cute date at home, he produced a small wooden box from his pocket. After you had enjoyed the homemade meal he had whipped up for you and you both were cuddling on the balcony, he proposed to you with stars in his eyes and hope in his heart.

He shocked you with the ring. Like your relationship, it was delicate, yet made with lots of love and care. You obviously said yes without hesitation. After all, you loved this man, and he loved you too. Nothing, absolutely nothing, could ever go wrong if he was with you.

--

It seems that no matter how hard you try, life always seems to have other plans for you.

The month right after you accepted his proposal, you received an invitation for a two-year-long workshop in Germany. Such opportunities don’t come every day, so you were elated.

Without wasting any time, you called Chan, informing him about the opportunity you had received. But like every coin, this great opportunity had its drawbacks too.

With the prospect of studying and learning under some of the greatest doctors and nurses came the hardship of leaving your fiancĂ© behind. Chan didn’t like this one bit. He could barely stand to be away from you for a second, let alone two years.

But seeing the excitement on your face and hearing the joy in your voice, he couldn’t bring himself to ask you to stay back. He knew you had sacrificed a lot for him, compromised at times when you could have been happy if he hadn’t made decisions that ruined his life.

--

So he put on a happy smile and told you that if you didn’t take this opportunity, he would pack your bags himself and kick you out of the house. This assurance gave you the confidence you needed. Without wasting any time, you sent an email accepting the proposition to join the workshop.

The next five months passed in a whim. During this time, he had asked you to marry him before you went away, but with a peaceful and determined smile, you had told him, “I will marry you once I come back, like that, we won’t have to spend too much time as newlyweds. Plus, I will be smarter than you too.”

“You are always smarter than me. I can never surpass you,” was the answer you had received, along with a sweet kiss, making your heart swell like a balloon.

Life was starting to feel better again.

Chan had finally made his boundaries very clear. The boy felt extremely guilty for lying to you, though he never confessed to you about doing so. He made sure his actions proved his redemption. He ensured to let these new friends of his know that going out too much with them was affecting him in ways that he didn’t appreciate. Although they did sometimes win against him and force him to go out, it was not as bad as it was before.

—

Soon the day came when you had to fly away to Germany. To say that Chan was sad would be an understatement. He was devastated when he saw you off at the airport with Seungkwan. He had cried the whole way home, making Seungkwan scold him as if he were a baby.

“Now if you keep behaving like this, do you think she would be happy?” the older boy questioned him.

“No, but I miss her already,” Chan replied in a whisper while wiping his tears harshly.

“Be nice, be happy for her. You can talk to her all the time. It’s not the Stone Age,” Seungkwan said with an exasperated sigh, making the younger one stop his sad boy antics at once.

But it was not like Chan was okay. He started working overtime at the office, desperately waiting for you to call him when you got free. And call you did, religiously at six o’clock in the evening.

You both made the decision to talk at that time, regardless of any circumstances. This went on for six months. He tried his best to follow the routine of overworking himself before you would call and save him from killing himself with work.

But with all these works, his willpower also started to crumble down. The old ways came back to him. Before he realized it, he became a party animal. He made new friends at these clubs and bars he started frequenting. He thought you wouldn’t pick up. But you did. You saw how your boyfriend was slowly changing. It was not that obvious at first, but slowly you realized he was getting drowned with work.

Being the lovely girlfriend you were, you asked Seungkwan to take care of him. The boy tried his best to do so. But alas, he was not that successful.

It seemed to both of you that Chan had spiraled back into his overworking session. What you both were unaware of was that it was more than that.

Chan was not just overworking; he was over-drinking and over partying too.

—

One faithful night; he met Eva, his pottery class instructor. She was pretty. They talked the whole night, catching up like old buddies and having fun.

She brought a change to his life again. She started being there for him during times when he would lose himself. She was a great friend, so great that in no time you had the chance to meet her.

You had come back for a week’s vacation. Seungkwan thought it was important for all the friends to meet up because it had been a long time since he had seen you. This meeting was supposed to consist of only you, Chan, and Seungkwan. But Chan asked to bring in another friend he would like you to meet. It was Eva.

You liked her; she was nice. You wanted to be friends with her. Her sweet personality was something no one could resist, a great example of a sweetheart through and through.

For once, you were actually proud of your boyfriend’s choices in life. Your visit was over even before it had started. Suddenly, the week was over, and you were packing your bags to return to Germany.

This time, Chan was not as scared of things going downhill anymore. He knew that within a few more months, you would come back, and he could happily start the wedding preparations. He also knew he had a solid group of friends to have his back. Most importantly, he had learned the art of living without you. Not that it was happy, but now he could enjoy spending time by himself.

—

Time flew faster than ever. In no time, it was Chan’s birthday. Your program would finish that same month, so sadly you couldn’t visit him. All you could do was video call him that morning and congratulate him for hitting thirty before you, to which he grumpily replied, “Your birthday is in six months; I’m gonna make it hell for you.”

“Whatever, old man, get dressed. Don’t you have a job to go to?” You laughed at his grumpy face while teasing him even more.

“I miss you,” Chan suddenly called out, pouting.

“You will meet me next month, Channie. Don’t be this sad now.” Although that did make him happy, the thought of spending yet another birthday without you was saddening. But it’s not like it was going to last. You would be back in no time.

That thought put a smile on his face. Soon enough, he was skipping around the house cooking breakfast and answering numerous calls from his friends and family for being a thirty-year-old now.

Seungkwan and Eva had also planned a not-so-surprise party for him. It consisted of meeting in front of his office and dragging his ass to the bar to drink and have fun. Although the day was spent slaving away in front of the computer, that night he had a lot of fun. He talked to Seungkwan and Eva for hours, and the three of them were pretty intoxicated when they left.

The only thing he remembered from that night was the fact that Eva, being the one out of the three with the most alcohol tolerance, was the one who had made sure that all of them returned home safely.

There was just one slight problem. Eva started to avoid him. Now, in any other situation, he would not have noticed it, but the text the next morning asking him if he remembered anything from the night before had him confused. When he asked her what it was all about, she refused to answer him, opting to ignore him instead.

He had no recollection of the night before, and Seungkwan didn’t either, so it was a mystery to both of them. But then again, his gut told him the problem was bigger than what he thought it was and might come to haunt him if not solved now.

So he did the most sane thing he could think of: He asked her to talk to him about it. He knew the wedding preparations would start the minute you came back, so he wanted to make sure to fix any problem that might affect you both before it blasted out of proportion.

—

“You kissed me,” was the first thing Eva told him after sitting down, making Chan’s heart drop to his stomach.

“Huh, but I don’t remember anything,” Chan retorted.

“It’s not about you remembering or not, it really happened, Chan, and I hate it,” she said, her voice almost breaking.

“Hey, calm down. We were both intoxicated, and we didn’t do it on purpose. Any other time and we wouldn’t have done it,” this seemed to have little to no effect on improving the girl’s mood.

On the other hand, Chan’s blood pressure was rising. The last thing he needed was a big mistake from which he could never turn back. With you coming back from Germany in less than a week, he needed everything in his life to be sorted out, especially something that could jeopardize a relationship with so much love in it.

“Chan, I think I like you. I’m not sure when it happened, or how it did. But I like you. So please don’t tell me I wouldn’t have done it if we weren’t intoxicated.”

The impact of this statement was so immense that it completely shattered his world, leaving him in disarray. It was true that he liked Eva. What kind of feelings he actually held for her was a mystery to him.

So, in the spur of the moment, he kissed her.

Just a few minutes ago, it was bothering him, but once he took the step, he didn’t feel what he was supposed to. He didn’t feel the disgust and hatred towards himself he should have. It felt like sneaking out of his house when he was not supposed to. It made a rush of excitement run through his body. He could feel the adrenaline rush through him.

He felt alive. maybe it was the feeling of doing something forbidden or it was something else, he didn’t know.

But, that night, they did more than kissing.

—

Once you were back, it was all sunshine and rainbows in the first few weeks. You both were happy, spending all your time together and having fun relishing in each other’s presence.

But it didn’t take you long to notice the changes. He would be stuck late at the office but come back home surprisingly lively, or those random texts from his brother late at night asking him to come over, or even the most obvious of them all, the vibrant smell of floral perfume that you never wear.

But you held out. You had promised to give him a chance to explain himself if he came clean to you. But that day never came. You asked him about these odd behaviors, but somehow he would always evade the topic altogether.

All those questions of ‘where were you last night’, ‘when will you come home’, or ‘shall we go on a date sometime soon’, all went unanswered.

He outright ignored your presence at home. But this didn’t stop the wedding preparations. Because his siblings and your parents alike loved him, they had taken the responsibility to take care of the wedding plans.

Before he could continue with his little escapades, Seungkwan caught and confronted him. Not by you but by Seungkwan. The older boy’s disappointment was beyond words. He screamed at him for an hour straight and then he had sat Chan down and calmly said,

“Either you tell her or I will.”

“But I can’t; she will leave me if I ever tell her.”

“Then she will be right in doing so.”

“Chan, I love you to death, but either you stop this and tell your girlfriend the whole truth, or I will take matters into my own hands. She has put up with enough of your shit. Don’t hurt her more,” he had said.

“Give me some time; I will do it as soon as possible,” the younger one had strained out, fisting his hair.

“She better know about it all before the wedding,” Seungkwan had warned him before seeing himself out.

—

Chan had cut off Eva after that. He tried to change everything before actually marrying you. Then, being the kind person you are, you tried to understand your boyfriend. You really did. But this was the first time in ten years you considered leaving him.

This relationship didn’t make you happy anymore. But you had gone through so many troubles together. The effort to hold each other upright was taking a toll on you.

But you were a fighter. You had fought many battles with him by your side. You couldn’t give up on those years either. Your internal dilemma was killing you. But all of this came to a halt one day when you had come back from your night shift, only to find your boyfriend and the girl he oh so diligently claimed to be his good friend, talking in the living room.

It was not like they were trying to be quiet because you could hear every single word spoken by them.

“Chan, it’s yours.”

“Eva, I have a fiancĂ©. I will never leave her. I already told you, I love her.”

“Oh, so you didn’t think about that before fucking me”

“It was a mistake”, Chan shouted.

“No, it wasn’t, we both were very sober”, came another shout

The conversation hit you like a truck, and with each sentence, you felt your heart shattering. The decision suddenly seemed a bit too easy to make.

You walked out of the chaos, leaving the ring behind on the shoe rack. That night, you stayed at your friend’s place.

Following that event, you called Seungkwan, informing him that you won’t talk to Chan anymore. He simply asked if you wanted any help moving out, to which you answered with a simple no.

That was the end of the relationship for you. You refused to talk or see Chan ever again.

—

Now, five years later, Chan is to be married again. Not with you; no, he missed his chance. It's with Eva. They figured the best way to raise Minhan was to be together. In a county like theirs, it wasn’t the best idea to raise a kid with two unmarried parents.

Chan loved Minhan to death. But he could never show the same love for Eva. Looking at her reminded him of the mistakes he made in life. It reminded him of the happiness he could have attained, but he lost due to his own faults.

He is happy Seungkwan is still beside him. He knows he doesn’t deserve a friend like him, so the fact that Seungkwan stayed beside him makes him feel grateful.

He knew that his wife and child would move in with him soon, but he didn’t have the courage to let them into the house yet. The house that held both your memories was a bit too precious to let go of so easily.

The next day came faster than he anticipated. As Chan stood there waiting for his bride, he saw a face that he had been longing to see for the last five years.

He saw your face, sitting there on the benches, a sad smile adorning your face. Your eyes filled with emotions and stories of the years you had spent together.

Oh, how badly Chan wanted to abandon everything and run to you. Apologize a hundred times and ask you to take him back. But he couldn’t; he had children to take care of and shoes to fill.

As he stood there saying his vows, hoping it’s you he saw walking down the aisle and it’s you he kissed, but they are called dreams for a reason. And not all dreams come true.

As he kissed his bride, he saw a glimpse of your teary eyes amongst the crowd, and a tear of his own fell. Wishing for a future he was never destined to have.

Wishing for a future he was never destined to have.

caturday movie night

Caturday Movie Night

tldr: can you cat sense chan's fear? (early relationship!chan) a/n: i love him so bad, ur honor.

chan liked your cat. he thought the cat was cute and he seemed quite sweet when you interacted with him. that isn’t the problem. your cat just didn’t like chan. he has tried over and over to get the cat to open up to him. he’s asked his friends with cats what to do, read articles online about how to introduce himself to the cat, and even watched youtube videos, practicing his ‘friendly crouch’ in his bedroom mirror. all his efforts seemed fruitless. every time he came over to your apartment, your cat ran and hid from him. the small animal cowered behind you in his presence. ducking behind your legs and not allowing chan to lay a single finger on him. maybe he could sense that chan always liked dogs better.

it never bothered you that your cat hated chan, his words, not yours. in fact, you insisted that he did not hate chan, he just needed more time to warm up to the new man in your life. after all, your cat had been the only guy in your life up until eight months ago when you moved into your current apartment. that's how you and chan met. you were moving into chan’s building and he offered to help you move some boxes. you and chan had been official for the last six months and your cat still cannot stand the sight of him.

your cat is all he can think about as he walks down the hallway of your shared building, headed for another movie night at your place. despite the uncomfortable cat situation, it was easier to spend time at your place, seeing as you had no roommates and chan had two. and as much as he loved vernon and seungkwan, a romantic movie night was better without them.

he stands in front of your door and knocks. he’s sure at this point he could probably just let himself in, especially since you shared the code to your door with him a few weeks ago, but it feels impolite so he patiently waits for you to open the door. as he waits he thinks again of your cat. what exactly was it that the poor animal hated so much about chan? did he do something? was it a vibe? or maybe it was–

the door swung open and your head appeared in the gap, “hi!” you pulled the door open wider, inviting chan into your space, “come in. I’m almost done preparing the snacks.” you greeted chan with a chaste kiss, then turned and walked deeper into the apartment, chan followed behind you, listening for the tell-tale sounds of a bell on a collar and tiny nails striking the hardwood.

when you finally reach your kitchen, chan saw the cat. he was asleep in his bed, curled up, looking relaxed. this was all bound to end as soon as he woke up and saw chan. then he’d go running in the opposite direction from wherever chan was.

“channie?” your soft voice interrupted his thoughts. he turned to you, “can you help me carry these snacks to the living room? we can put them on the coffee table.”

“of course, pretty.” he loved the way you blushed at his nickname for you. he’d been calling you ‘pretty’ for a few months now and every time he did, your face flushed. it thrilled him to no end.

quietly, so as to not disturb your sleeping cat, he crossed the kitchen and grabbed the bowl of popcorn, following you to your cozy living room. the next movie in your studio ghibli marathon already pulled up.

things went smoothly for the first half of the movie. you and chan had snuggled up on the couch, your head resting on his shoulder, his arm around your waist, holding you close. you were enjoying watching kiki’s adventures in koriko when chan heard it: the small footfalls of your cat. he tensed briefly, knowing this would be unfortunate for the animal whose living room this technically was.

the small cat wandered into the living room sleepily. you reached for the remote, pressing pause, “come here, little boy. come sit with us, get to know channie. he’s convinced you hate him.” this last part was said teasingly, your eyes turned to chan, glimmering with mirth.

to everyone’s surprise, the lethargic cat ambled into the room, pausing briefly in front of you before making eye contact with chan.

chan held his breath, he was sure the cat was going to turn around and run out of the room, scared by something in chan’s eyes. your cat squatted and jumped right into chan’s lap. he turned around once, twice, thrice, and then settled into chan’s lap. closing his eyes and beginning to purr.

you smiled wide, “i told you he liked you, channie. he just needed time to see how great you are.” your head tipped back onto his shoulder, settling back in to finish the movie.

chan reached an experimental hand down to pet the cat’s head. he took the increased purring as a good sign. “i think you’re great too, pretty.” chan could get used to this. dogs are overrated anyway.

this has made me realise that I might have a soft spot for chan

heads up! food.

"do you want to see how much they love me?" you can hear chan before you see him, vernon and seungkwan next to him. he steps ahead of them so that he can approach you first, glancing down at the little meal in front of you. he sits down across from you, calling your name in a cute voice. "can i have a dumpling?"

you don't even hesitate. not when his friends are right there, and you know you'll get a laugh from vernon (if not both). "nope."

chan gawks at you, genuine disappointment in his eyes as his friends cackle. everyone knows that you don't share food unless you truly like someone. your boyfriend is one of those people who gets to take whatever he wants when he asks... except for this time.

vernon sits down on your other side, still grinning: he knows you. you saw the opportunity and you took it, which is probably your right as chan's partner to tease him the same way all his friends do. "hey," he looks at you. "can i have a dumpling?"

you're already pushing the tray over for him to take one. "of course, pookie."

chan's already sputtering in shock, watching as vernon takes a dumpling from your lunch. "pookie?!"

"our boo, do you want one, too?" you slide to toward seungkwan, who gladly accepts one and thanks you for it. you pull the tray back to yourself, picking up the last dumpling with your chopsticks.

chan's just staring you down like a kicked puppy. "honey..." he pouts. "my love...?"

you think you break a little too easily when it comes to chan. you extend your chopsticks to him instead. "fine, my dumpling," you roll your eyes playfully. "if you insist." yet the moment he sinks his teeth into it, you speak up again. "but you have to buy me more, then."

chan's smile falls slightly, but he's already getting up again to make a beeline toward the stall. he hears the way you laugh, so content with getting to mess with him just a little, but he doesn't mind it. not when it's you.

word count: 1.4k~

daisy's notes: had chan not woken up n realized what was going on, they would have kept going btw.

Coming Home Again

There was a video awaiting you from Jun when you woke up this morning, followed by a “happy birthday!” and several little birthday-themed emojis. When you tapped it to play it, you were immediately greeted with what looked like a hotel hallway and the soft sound of Soonyoung giggling in the background.

Ah. This was from this morning. You found yourself smiling already, curling into your blankets. Chan told you that his flight would be leaving this morning. About an hour ago, now that you were checking the time: which meant he’d be home soon enough.

Jun lightly knocked on another door, only for it to immediately open to Minghao, who pressed a finger against his lips. Both Jun and Soonyoung followed him into the hotel room, revealing where Chan was still fast asleep. The sun had already risen in the sky, stretching through the sliver of curtain that was open to rest a long slant against the foot of Chan’s bed. Even asleep, you always thought he was pretty—messy hair and drool and all. He was your mess to love, after all. There was a little plush otter hugged against him, one half of the pair that you bought him back when you first started dating. Yours was next to you now, and you silently pulled it into your arms as you kept watching.

“Chan?” Soonyoung had quietly slipped past Jun, reaching forward to shake his arm. “Our flight’s been delayed.”

Immediately, Chan shot up, suddenly all too awake. “What? No.” He rubbed his eyes, running a hand through his hair. He stifled a yawn, looking up at Soonyoung. “I’ll call—” He paused to yawn again, already moving out of bed to grab an undershirt, “I’ll call the airline
”

“There’s no planes,” Jun said. “We tried.”

“What?” He squinted at Jun. Clearly, he hadn’t woken up fully, completely unaware that Jun was recording all of this. “It’s okay.” He slipped the undershirt over his head, stepping into the bathroom. Chan recoiled as he flipped the light on, quietly groaning. “I’ll call.”

“Channie, there’s no planes anymore,” Soonyoung nudged past the camera again to stand on the opposite side of the door. “They got rid of them.”

A moment later, Chan raised his head, brows furrowed. “What?”

“They got rid of all the planes,” Soonyoung reached out, ruffling Chan’s hair. “You’ll have to swim home—”

All at once, it hit him that they were teasing him again. He shoved at Soonyoung’s hand, turning back to the mirror with a pout. “You’re terrible.” Then he paused, looking at Soonyoung again. “... Our flight—”

“It’s still on time,” Minghao spoke up. “Say hi to her, by the way.”

Chan looked at Minghao for a moment, only to then notice that Jun was still holding up his phone. You saw the perplexed reaction on his face melt into realization, and he groaned again. “Don’t send this to her—”

“Too late,” Soonyoung pulled Chan into his arms, “it’s our birthday present to her.”

“More like a present for yourselves,” Chan grumbled, but he looked at the camera. “Don’t make fun of me,” he said to the others, and then it felt like he was looking at you with the way he softened a little. “Hi, honey. I’ll be home soon.” Then he paused, face flushed as he realized the company he had. “I’ll say it when I see you, okay? I love you!”

The video cut off at the sounds of all three men starting to tease your boyfriend, but you just smiled to yourself. You saved the video, going back to your messages to thank Jun for both the video and the birthday wishes, before finally crawling out of bed. A few other messages awaited you—one from Seungkwan a little after midnight, wishing you a happy birthday before anyone else could, another from Vernon asking if the four of you would still be getting dinner tonight
and then several from Chan. A selca from when he and his three coworkers were settled and waiting for their flight, followed by a message saying everything had been going well so far.

Another picture of the four of them squeezed together in front of a mirror, Chan smiling confidently at you. I can’t wait to see you soon.

Tucking your phone into your sweatpants pocket, you made your way into the rest of the apartment, smile falling once you realized how much you needed to clean up. Right
Things always seemed to fall into disarray when one of you was gone. Last time you went on a trip with a few friends, Chan had apologized to you when you came back to a slight mess in the form of beer cans and takeout from when he drank with his friends the night before. It wasn’t a big deal, to be honest: your flight had been earlier than expected and he’d always meant to clean up before you came home. So you put yourself to work for a bit, stealing Chan’s headphones so that you could listen to music as you worked. It wasn’t the ideal way to start your birthday, but it’d pass the time.

Today had been planned out in advance: you’d welcome Chan home, spend a little time with him before he went to unpack and catch up on sleep (work conferences always drained him), and then you’d head out for a birthday lunch with your friends. With the apartment tidied up, you glanced at your phone to see if there were any updates from Chan. When you found none, you turned to getting ready for the day. A hot shower, followed by a little pampering before you dried your hair and started to get dressed

Only for the doorbell to eventually chime while you were putting in a pair of earrings—a set that matched a pair of Chan’s, actually. They’d been a present to you when he discovered how much you loved matching him. No doubt you’d come back home hours from now to find Chan matching your outfit, too. Cheesy as it may be, he liked looking like he belonged right beside your side, a matching pair. You made your way out of your bedroom and into the living room, where Chan was shutting the door behind him.

When he turned back to face you, he smiled like he’d just seen a ray of sunshine after a year of storms. Chan dropped a paper bag by his feet, and then opened his arms for you to come hug him. “Happy birthday. I missed you.”

“You’re dry.”

He blinked in confusion. “Huh?”

You giggled, making your way over to him. “You didn’t swim home? I thought all the planes were gone.”

With a snort, he closed the distance between the two of you, squeezing the life out of you as he hugged you tight. “I would have if I had to!” He swayed a little with you, “You’re all so mean—even on your birthday, you bully me—”

You just wrapped your arms around him, kissing the side of his neck. “I missed you, too, you goof.”

He drew back, immediately turning to the paper bag beside him. “There’s more in my bag,” he said, “but
 I bought you some things.”

Accepting the bag from him, you gave him a quick peck on the lips and thanked him before making your way over to the couch. The tissue paper crinkled as you rifled through it, only to find an assortment of Japanese candy at the bottom of it. Different flavors of Pocky and Kit-Kats, hard candies of varying brands, gummies
Chan settled into the spot next to you, watching the way your eyes lit up.

“I also bought a few things for the apartment,” he said. “And a new friend for our kids
”

In other words, a new plushie that’ll likely sit with the otters. You called them your “children” once and Chan never let it go, happy to have something he could lovingly tease you over. He wrapped an arm around you, pulling you into his side as he rested his head against your own.

“I really did, by the way.” He paused. “Miss you. We should take a trip there sometime,” he leaned in to kiss your cheek. “Just the two of us.”

With a hum, you snuggled against him. “I’d like that,” you said, shutting your eyes for a moment as you savored this little moment with your love.

Chan kissed the corner of your lips one last time. “Happy birthday,” he murmured. “I’m glad you were born.”

No More Waiting | Lee Chan X Reader | 555 W.

"I'll pay." A familiar hand blocked you from paying to the cashier. You turn your head in one quick motion, eyes widening at the sight of Lee Chan.

He turned to offer you a smile, that damn smile that's enough to set off the fireworks in your chest.

You didn't hear what he was saying next, hands gripping your cup of coffee a little too hard. He turned to you once again, tilting his head slightly, losing you in the overwhelming surprise.

"Earth to you?" he uttered, trying to ground you back by waving his hand in front of your face. He hesitates a bit before touching your shoulder, sending electricity through your whole body.

You jolt back to reality, chest-heavy with unnamed feelings. He gestured for you to follow him and sit on one of the tables outside the cafe.

You never expected this day would actually come. Not even in your wildest dream. But here you are. Here he is. Staying true to his word.

"Why are you here?" you ask. Acting ever so clueless. As if you didn't think about his words every night before bed, sending silent prayers that he doesn't forget.

He took a sip out of his cup, inhaling a shaky breath combined with a thin smile. Chan seemed to think of words to say. He had written it all down before driving here to see you, he had practiced in front of the mirror for days. But suddenly, the notes in his pocket felt too heavy to be taken out right now.

He wanted this moment to be natural, but natural also meant at a loss of words, uncontrollable sweat slipping past the corner of his eyes, and unexplainable heat warming him from the inside.

He exhales, looking at you before leaning closer. Don't even ask about your heart, they're working overtime right now.

"Listen," he started. His hand reached out to yours, holding it gently. "I know that we agreed to at least go through college first, but I didn't expect you to get out of town," he said, making a circular motion on the back of your hand. "I thought, it'll be fine, we're gonna be fine, I will visit you one day, and you will take me around, that's what we promised."

There's a hint of frustration in his words, like he knows you're slipping away again, and maybe you do, maybe you did it on purpose. Push and pull have always been your strongest suit and Chan loves to indulge you by playing the game. But that's not for nothing. Because now that he's here, it's clear what you need. What you want.

"But we shouldn't wait around, sitting on our feelings," he stated. "Or we'll grow distant, and that's like my worst nightmare."

You let out a small laugh, causing him to look at you. The laugh that he's been dying to hear all year, the laugh that only he can spark.

"Chan, if we do this, if we try," you hesitated. Looking for an answer in his eyes without having to speak your mind out loud. "Will we be fine?"

He smiles at you, and if that's not reassuring enough, he adds with the softest voice that echoes in your mind, "We will, because there's no one else for me but you."

taglist will be reblogged!

quite frankly - you’re over it.

for the past month and a half, you’ve been pushing your limits at your job. your boss designated you as the lead of a project and on top of that, you had to put in overtime to ensure that the project workload AND your individual load were still up to standards. while you knew things would be worth it in the end (your project commissions and overtime would give you an extra $2,500 dollars on your paycheck), you would be lying if you said your mental and physical health were starting to deteriorate.

today especially, you realized things were going to get worse before they got better. as you shut down your workspace, you felt ounces of your energy leave your body. too much happened for your liking - your teammates argued about the project’s direction, your boss complained about the most minute details in a presentation you were to give in a few days, and to culminate the day, your company laptop malfunctioned while you were working and it had to be sent to i.t. for it to get fixed. at this point, you were ready to head home, wrap yourself up in your covers, and forget about everything and everyone.

you’re not sure if you heard people say goodbye to you as you left the office, but if they did, you were too tired (and too agitated) to care and respond back. as you enter into the parking deck of your office building, you fish for your phone and see some missed texts from your boyfriend, chan.

channie ❀: hey, just wanted to check on you

channie ❀: i’ll probably be over later tonight

channie ❀: so much is going on, and i really want to see you

you breathe a sigh of relief at seeing your boyfriend’s name appear on your screen, but you also can’t help but worry. your boyfriend chan was a professional dancer - and a damn good one. he’s been dancing since he was three, and it’s his first love. he teaches at three of the most popular dance studios on a weekly basis, drawing in huge crowds of avid and eager learners. his instagram comments are always flooded with words of praise - handsomeness and talent catching the eyes of millions. his sharpness, keen eye for detail, and flawless execution made him the target for entertainment companies and he was often called in to be a backup dancer or choreograph for popular idol groups. currently, he’s preparing to dance with a popular boy group after their latest comeback broke records.

he did mention that his rehearsals were getting a bit more intense, especially since this group in particular were about to start their promotion period. there were days where he complained that his body ached and times that you helped take care of him, so you just had to pray and hope that today wasn’t as harsh on him.

you and chan have been together for a year and a half after meeting at party hosted by a mutual friend. you weren’t sure that you two were a good match for each other, but after a few meet-ups and intriguing conversations you realized that you two had more in common than you thought. whatever one of you might have lacked, another made up for in actions or words. you two complemented each other and you had each other’s backs. even through some rough patches, you both realized that there was no one else you wanted to be with. there was no going back.

as you started your car engine, you shoot a quick text back to chan, thanking all higher powers you would at least have some better solace this evening.

babe 😏: you too? i guess we can talk about later when you come by. see you in a bit, love ya ❀

the drive after work feels somewhat longer than normal, the traffic almost making you reach your limit. but you finally find yourself back in the comfort of your apartment, kicking your shoes off to the side and dropping your bag and blazer to the floor. you breathe a huge sigh of relief as you enter your bedroom, take off your bra, and flop onto your bed, letting the sweet scent of your bedsheets fill your nose.

you find yourself drifting into dreamland a few minutes later, but the grumbling of your stomach and the fact that you still had the rest of your work clothes on brings you back to reality. despite some opposition from the rest of your body, you get up and grab some loungewear from your dresser and head for the shower, hoping to relax your tense muscles.

after you come out the shower and change, you head to the kitchen to start on dinner. you decide on chicken fried rice - one of you and chan’s favorite meals to eat together. you pull the ingredients from the fridge and the seasonings from the cabinet, asking your smart home device to play serene, chill music. the instrumentals fill your space, and you get to work - washing the chicken first.

as you finish garnishing both plates, you hear your doorbell ring. you check your camera, and smile as you see your boyfriend come into view. you quickly wash your hands and answer the door, embracing chan in a tight hug before he can even say anything to you.

he’s surprised at how you rush at him, but it quickly melts into a soft smile as he wraps one hand around your waist and one on the back of your neck. he gently sways you back and forth, rubbing the small of your skin. after nearly eight hours of rehearsal, all he wanted to do was spend the rest of the day with you with no worries.

“hey you,” he whispers, glowing smile still on his perfect features. you finally make eye contact with him, a smile coming on your face, beaming at the fact that you were finally with your love. “hey,” you respond, going up on your toes to press a kiss to his soft cheek. chan takes the opportunity to place his hand on your chin and places a kiss on your lips. he quickly realizes he missed this wonderful feeling, and he deepens his movements, smirking when you can feel yourself lose all control and give into his desires.

you have to force yourself to come off him, knowing that if this continues dinner would be long forgotten. “c’mon babe, i made your favorite!” you take his hand and he drops his bags by your door, the familiar blending of seasonings wafting through his nose. “you made chicken fried rice?!” chan beams, entering the kitchen, his mouth nearly drooling at the plate full of goodness. “man, i really needed this today, thank you baby,” he places a kiss on your cheek this time as he goes to wash his hands. you can’t help but blush as you take the plates to the table, taking your seat as chan follows behind you.

“i’ll eat deliciously,” he affirms you, toasting your fork to you, taking his first bite and nodding in agreement at your cooking. you give him a minute to eat before you ask him anything.

“how have rehearsals been?”

“in one word, crazy,” he sighs. “i had to come in early to teach one of the members since he had an overseas schedule when the group had practice. then we had to rework some formations and drill the choreo over and over to get ready for filming tomorrow. i’m excited for filming and all, but im just tired.”

you sigh, shaking your head in agreement. “that’s understandable, things at the office have been crazy too. i love what i do, but this overtime is driving me crazy. i can’t wait to be finished so i can get this big bonus.”

“you’ve got this through. and when that check comes, it’ll all be worth it. just make sure you take care of yourself in the meantime. you know i’m proud of you right?” he rubs your back, his hand softening your tight muscles.

“thanks,” you respond shyly, smiling at your lover. “you know i’m proud of you too. you’re living out your dream everyday and you’re having fun doing it. your hard work is paying off too, chan. if i haven’t told you lately, you’re doing amazing. but you also need to make sure you’re taking care of yourself too, okay?”

he nods in agreement. “it’s only fair cause i asked you to do the same. i promise i’ll take care of myself.”

time passes by pleasantly, empty plates now in the dishwasher, conversations continuing from the kitchen table to the couch. your head rests on chan’s shoulders, your right hand on his leg.

“so when do you guys film the performance video?”

“tomorrow, and it’s supposed to last two days. then we have promotions with the group, but they divided us into two groups, so i only have to perform at music shows during the second week.”

an idea pops into your head, imaginary lightbulbs flashing rapidly. even though you were working overtime, you were scheduled for absences on friday and monday and your boss hadn’t rescinded on your days off. if chan only had to work until thursday, that would mean for once - both of your schedules would align.

“wait.. so that means you have a break after the music video?” you question. “even if it’s a short one?”

“yeah, what are you getting at?”

you sit up from your boyfriend’s shoulder realizing that the planning you completed in your head might have actually worked. “chan,” you exclaimed, “i actually have a break too! i get friday and monday off! chan, do you know what this means? we finally have the chance to spend more time together!”

your excitedness makes chan swoon, but it also brings a tinge of sadness. you were right - you two have been so busy that you had limited time together. between him dancing and teaching and with your work project, moments like these where you two could get away for a minute were rare.

“we should do something special then baby! we could go to dinner,” he gasps coming up with a new idea, “and i’ve always wanted to take you on a night boat ride! remember when i sent you those pictures from japan?”

earlier in the year, chan went overseas for another performance opportunity and during his time off, he and some of his other dancer friends took a boat ride with the city lights gleaming over the large body of water, waves that could lull anyone to sleep with their calming effect. it was a sight to behold, even through a 7 inch phone screen.

“yeah i do! those pictures were gorgeous,” you admire, thinking how back them you wished you were with chan on that boat, head resting on his shoulders like you did earlier, taking peeks of your boyfriend every now and then. he would be staring into the distance, somehow managing to look more handsome than anyone else.

“actually, i kinda want to do something grander than a date night though..” you hint, playing with your hair as you temporarily avoid eye contact. “i’ve been seeing this idea on insta for a while, and now i dream of doing it with you, chan. why don’t we take a trip together babe?”

“like a day trip?”

“mmm, i was thinking more like for the weekend. and it doesn’t have to be somewhere ridiculously far either, not like bali or anything! matter of fact, there’s a beach that i found right off the coast and the city is stunning!” you pull out your phone and type in the name of the beach in the search engine. you pass your phone to chan, images of beautiful blue water and white sand flooding his lenses.

“ah, crystal beach!” chan recognizes the name. “some of my friends have been there before, they said it was really nice! they said there’s a waterfront hotel right in front of the beach, and from the right floor you can get the perfect view.”

suddenly, you can envision the two of you on the fifteenth floor, sunrise glistening through the windows as you sleep in chan’s arms, legs wrapped around his waist, head on his chest. nothing else would matter in that moment expect for you two. no work, no projects, no eight-counts - just you, your lover, and the gentle ocean breeze.

“so, what are you thinking? should we go for it?” you ask.

“let’s do it babe! we’ve never done something like this before, and we can make some great memories out of it! and from the looks it, we could both use some time away from all of this,” he gestures towards the windows, overseeing the big city that encased you two.

“yeah,” you nod in agreement. “i think some time away is long overdue. and it’ll be good for us! honestly, i was thinking about us waking up together, and now i can’t wait to get out of here!” you both share a quick laugh as you head comes to the familiar space of chan’s shoulders.

you two share a few moments of silence before chan taps your leg twice as your eyes look into his, “do you wanna leave friday morning? we can get there by the afternoon, chill for a bit, and then get dinner or something.”

“m’kay, that sounds good to me. do you want me to reserve the room or do you wanna do it?” you ask, rubbing his shoulder.

“i can reserve the hotel room! don’t worry about it babe.” you kiss chan’s cheek as a thank you, fingers intertwining with his. chan pulls out his phone, typing in the hotel name, leading him to the website. he then locks his phone, already making plans to make this the best trip for you both.

some more time passes, you and chan watching random youtube videos, laughing at funny moments. but soon it comes time for chan to leave, he has an early morning because of the music video filming.

you walk with him to the door, handing him his bags. you go on your toes to kiss his cheek one more time before he leaves. “good luck on filming, i’ll see you on friday!”

he bends down to press a gentle kiss on your lips, hand caressing your jaw to deepen the feeling. you return his passion, tongues moving together like choreography. when you separate, his lips form in a smirk - he loves the feeling of leaving you breathless.

“if i get out early on thursday night i’ll text you. if i do, can i spend the night?”

“of course, baby,” you smile at him, biting your lip. “i’ll see you soon, okay? you need to get some rest.”

“okay, okay, love you baby,” he says leaving one more kiss on your lips.

“love you too, text me when you get home!” you respond as he opens the door, waving you goodbye, signaling with his fingers that he would affirm he got home safely.

chan closes the door as he walks to the elevator, hearing your door lock, making sure you were safe. he quickly gets out his phone, the hotel’s website coming back into view. he chooses the dates, chooses two people to occupy the space, and it takes chan to the room selection. he scrolls until he find the perfect room - one with a king size bed, and a balcony view, hopefully one that would overlook the beach.

before he reserves the room, he texts one of his friends that stayed at the same hotel.

hey yeonjun, i need a favor.

which exact floor were you on when you went to that hotel at crystal beach?

Play Nicely - Lee Chan

Play Nicely - Lee Chan

Synopsis: "I got a preview of what it would be like not to be yours, and I hated it so much."

Pairing: Idol! Dino x fem reader

Genre: PG-13 - slight angst, slightttttt smutttt if you squint, jealousy ft. The8, established relationship, possession

Word Count: 2.1k

Dino wasn't used to sitting on the dance floor, being in charge of the music. He was normally the one in front of the mirror, learning the choreography. This time around though, Dino had to take the backseat in order for Minghao to practice the choreography for his upcoming music video.

He was in the midst of preparing for his newest solo single. It was a bit sexier of a concept compared to Hai Cheng released last year. This time around, it had a heavy influence compared to the group's Light A Flame number. Minghao wanted to step out of his comfort zone, to show off his full range of dancing capabilities especially now that his collarbone has fully healed.

Being the good friend that you are, you volunteered to help Minghao with the choreography. By no means were you a professional like the rest of the group, or really like any extra the company could have hired. However, you wanted to take a challenge. You've always been curious about the world of dance, especially after watching Dino command the stage with his capabilities.

Minghao was ecstatic about the opportunity. Not only because he could take his time since you were helping as a friend, but he felt more comfortable doing the dance with someone he knew. This style of dance was newer to him as a solo performer, so being able to do it without feeling like he was going to waste someone's time really benefitted his learning process.

Dino was also very blessed to see you step up to help one of his friends. The maknae was a bit hesitant to introduce you to his friend group. He knew his members could be intimidating but also knew he was often subject to most of the teasing. Not always, but most of it when Mingyu was MIA. He just didn't want to give them anymore ammunition or have you dragged into it.

It brought him great joy to see how easily you were accepted by the group. Sure, there was some teasing here and there. However, his 12 brothers were just pleased to see their youngest happy. That is all they wanted for him anyway.

You were wearing a blank tank top, your hair pulled back into a high ponytail. You were also wearing a pair of black leggings. Your facial expression showed you were relaxed. Maybe the two of you should take dance classes together? He was intrigued by the opportunity to see you dance, wondering what you were capable of.

"I'm just afraid of making a fool out of myself," Minghao explained. He ran his hand through his hair as he stood before you.

Being the comforting friend that you, you placed your hands on Minghao's shoulders. Staring into his eyes, you smiled gently. "You're not going to make a fool of yourself. You're one of the best dancers I know, Hao. We'll practice for however long you need so you can feel confident." Minghao smiled at you, nodding at your words

While Dino knew the interaction was innocent, he couldn't help but feel the sting in his heart. One of the best dancers you knew? What about him? He bit his lip as he stood up straighter. He could out dance Minghao if given the chance.

The rehearsal started lighthearted. Minghao was showing you the basic dance moves and keeping enough distance, so you could learn through trial and error. The three of you would laugh at the moments of awkwardness. it helped you feel at ease to be out of your element. It was such a lighthearted environment.

"Why don't we try it this time with the music? I think you got the basics of the dance down now, y/n!" "I can also pause it if you need to go over the steps again," Dino reminded.

You looked excited to try it with the music, and Dino and Minghao wanted to help you keep that enthusiasm. They were honestly grateful you were willing to help out, but wanted to keep it fun for you as this was a new experience.

However, once the music began to play, the mood shifted. it went from innocent and playful to seductive and intense. The track was a bit deeper than Seventeen's more lighthearted, poppy sounds they've been doing over the past few months. Quite frankly, it screamed sex appeal.

Dino has never wanted so desperately to pause the music, pause the intensity between the two of you. But he didn't want to be selfish.

Realizing where he was, he let out a sharp breath through his nostrils. He did his best to compose himself, not wanting to make a scene especially when he was with you and one of his best friends. He had to control himself. Neither of you were doing anything malicious, nor would you ever. You loved Dino too much to ever do something so careless whereas Minghao had too much respect for your relationship and the two of you as people.

Dino was just starting to realize maybe this wasn't a good idea after all.

His blood boiled as Minghao's eyes were trained on you. You were able to capture the attention of everyone in the room. And honestly, Dino loved watching you thrive and flourish in anything you did. You could just be cooking up lunch for the two of you, and he was always left speechless.

Internally, he knew he should be grateful that his best friend was looking out for you. You meant the world to each member, especially since they knew how happy you made their maknae. And Minghao was doing everything he could to make sure you didn't get hurt while dancing.

It just wasn't far that Minghao got to be this close to you when that's all Dino was craving. He was craving the feeling of your body heat against his. He wanted to stare into your eyes until the world stopped spinning. And honestly, he wanted to be the first and only dance partner you had.

As the song played, Dino's jealousy just grew. Minghao guided you in where to place your hands, how to move your hips. It made Dino's mind fuzzy as he remembered all the things your body was capable of, how good you could make him feel. But he was seeing red as he watched Minghao maneuver you around, how your hands trailed his body.

The ending post is what drove Dino feral. Your back was fully pressed up against Minghao's chest. Your head was tilted back to face him thanks to the light hold Minghao had on your neck, his thumb on your jawline. His other hand rested on your hip, close to your upper thigh to keep you close.

The only sound that filled the air as the music died out was the sound of you two breathing heavily, your chests rising and falling. Dino was only used to that sound when it was the two of you in his bed.

Sensing eyes burning through him, Minghao looked over. He was about to ask for Dino's opinion but froze when he saw the glare Dino held. It was so unlike his younger member, so he was a bit surprised. Yet, he was intrigued to see how else he could push his buttons.

Leaning in close to you, Minghao whispered in your hear. He made sure he kept a bit of distance as to not overwhelm you, but give the impression Minghao was kissing your ear. Anything to drive Dino up the wall.

"Why don't we take a five? Give your lover boy a chance to breathe?"

You tilted your head in confusion before taking a look over at Dino. You've never seen him with his jaw clenched so tightly. You were afraid he was going to break his teeth with that kind of hold on his jaw.

Untangling your bodies, Minghao and you stepped away from with each other. Even though you were aching to know what was bothering your boyfriend, you were overjoyed with how well that first run-through went.

"I'm going to get us some water. Be right back," Minghao announced almost too happily.

I should have nothing to worry about. It's my best friend fulfilling his goal, but it just happens to be with my girlfriend. With his hands all over MY girlfriend. Fuck this.

Once you two were the only ones in the room, you turned towards your boyfriend. You couldn't help the gentle smile that tugged onto your lips at the sight of your pouty boy. Dino has always been seen as far more mature for his age, probably because he wanted to fit in with his hyungs since Seventeen's debut days. Yet, in this moment, he resembled a little boy who was not getting his way.

You were taking tiny steps towards Dino. You were convinced he hasn't moved an inch since rehearsals started. He was sitting up straight with his back against the glass.

"Have I ever told you I hate sharing?" He grumbled.

You giggled and shook your head. Your reaction caused Dino's scowl to deepen as his head shot up towards you. "Sorry," you whispered, apologizing for your reaction. You didn't want to just cast his feelings to the side. This was just a side of Dino you've never experienced before.

"Baby boy, you're not sharing me with anyone." "Damn right I'm not," he muttered.

Before you could even respond, Dino leaned forward to grab your wrists. You gasped lightly at the movement but allowed Dino to guide you in the direction he desired. He gently pulled you down so you straddled his lap. His knees propped up so you could lean back and rest against them.

Once you got situated in the new position, his hands let go of your wrists. Instead, they perched themselves on your hips to keep you secured on his lap. Your arms wrapped around Dino's neck. One hand resting on the base of his neck, the other on the back of his head.

"You only go home with me at the end of the day."

Dino didn't know what took over him. He leaned forward and pressed his lips gently at first against your neck. Your fingers gently running through his hair now, gripping slightly. The action caused him to growl against your skin, causing butterflies to erupt in the pit of your stomach. His lips were like a magnet to your neck.

"Don't ever think I'm willing to let anyone get that close to you again. You hear me?" The kisses were no longer soft pecks. They were open-mouth kisses that traveled up and down your neck, as if he was searching for it.

As his lips were right by where your jaw and neck connect, you felt your breathing hitch. You pulled yourself closer, unaware that the movement had caused you to rub against Dino's hardening boner. His teeth sink into your neck before he began sucking on it to ease the temporary ache.

He needed to get you home. Or at least somewhere where nobody could walk in on you two.

"You drive me absolutely mad, baby girl. I'm so lucky." "And I'm all yours," you reminded him again.

His mind got fuzzy at the softness of your voice. He squeezed your hips lovingly before letting his tongue glide over the reddish-purple hickey forming on your neck. Just one mark that would remind everyone who you belonged to.

"I guess I'm not filming dance rehearsal today," Minghao announced.

Hearing Minghao's voice, you blushed hard. You were going to move off of Dino, wanting to apologize for the PDA. Yet, Dino didn't let you move. If anything, his grip tightened on you to keep you planted on his lap.

Also so Minghao didn't see the boner that was becoming more and more prominent.

Dino slowly pulled away before looking over at his older member. His body was a bit relaxed even though he still wished he could swap places with Minghao in a few minutes. Minghao looked amused, not knowing that his younger brother could get jealous so easily.

"Sorry, Minghao," Dino chuckled. 'I just couldn't help myself." "You could have at least waited until rehearsal was done. At least you didn't make my dance partner too sore she couldn't move. I'd like to just finish and get one ore run-through down."

The two of you nodded, understanding Minghao's request. You were here to help him after all. Turning towards your boyfriend, you kissed his cheek lingeringly. You could feel his smile grow beneath the kiss. "We'll pick up later," you promised him.

His heart skipped a beat at the thought.

As you pushed yourself up off of his lap, there was a loud gasp behind you. "Dude, you have a boner?! In our dance studio?! I'm going to have to bleach my eyes after this!"

And there's the normal dynamic Dino was used to.

First Encounters Mini Series: #1: #2: #3: #4: Wonwoo #5: Jeonghan #6: #7: #8: Dino

Word Count: 5k

Warnings: does contain descriptions of anxiety - please make sure you are taking care of your mind, body, and soul. If you ever need someone to vent to, my DMs are always a safe space đŸ©·

Dating in your 20s is not as glamorous as they make it seem in the movies. First dates sometimes flourished into second dates but quickly fizzled out. Or it sometimes was someone you were interested in that just turned into a one night stand.

While sure, there times that Dino wished he had a more solid connection with someone. But he was in no rush to settle down and get married.

Going to college helped Dino not only helped him find his passions in life but also found confidence in himself.

Maybe that was one positive to come out of dating apps? It made Dino feel good when he could swipe on someone and it was an instant match. He hated the moments where he would swipe on someone he found attractive, but would be stuck waiting to see if there was a mutual attractive. And sometimes, he would forget about who he swiped on because there would no ping indicating they swiped on him.

He never thought of himself as the most attractive guy. Honestly, he thought was more average than anything else.

But the moment he found himself in the bed of someone, he felt more reassured in himself. The more that people wanted him, attempted to gain his attention, he felt better about who he was as a person. I mean, college is all about self growth anyways, right? Dino's learning just happened beyond the classroom.

"Trying to find another date?" Seungkwan teased. "More like he's trying to find someone to fuck since he's getting lonely at night," Jeonghan added in.

There were times Dino regretted signing a lease with Seungkwan and Jeonghan. This was one of those times. The two of them thought fondly of their younger roommate, so they often lurked over his shoulder.

"Oh! She's cute," Seungkwan commented.

Hearing his friend, his head turned and narrowed his eyes at the culprit. He suddenly moved his phone close to his chest to gain some sort of privacy. But that was a big ask in this house especially with how close the three friends were. Jeonghan, being the menace he is, moved his hand around to move the phone away from Dino's chest which caused Dino to jump.

"Can I never have anything to myself?" he whined. "She's normally not your type, but maybe we could use a change?" "We?!" Dino gasped.

The two guys laughed before they moved away from the younger boy to go elsewhere in the apartment. Now alone, Dino did take a moment to look at your pictures closer. There were a few photos just of you. He found himself smiling at the way your eyes nearly closed when you were smiling wide. You also had a few pictures with friends at different events.

His thumb then pushed upwards on his phone screen, so he could look deeper into your profile. I have to know who she is.

The first thing he noticed was your name, 'Y/n," he murmured under his breath. It rolled off this tongue so eloquently. He also noticed that you were only 2 miles away from him.

Part of him wanted to stop and just swipe. There was always an element of mystery that came to first dates. Dino's favorite part was when he got to ask questions, got to learn about the other person. Yet, there was something urging him to keep going. After all, looking over your profile could give good talking points.

What sold the deal was your bio - "looking to experience something new 👀"

Intrigued, Dino swiped right on your account. And automatically, fire emojis skyrocketed from the bottom of the app and covered the screen. It's a match! was written across the screen as it brought up your profile with the ability to message you now available.

His fingers typed at lightning speed. He couldn't wipe the smile off his face at the presented opportunity to get to know you.

"I've never done this before. Wanna grab dinner tonight?"

You were at home, binging the reunion of Love Is Blind with your roommates. It was a lazy Saturday afternoon which of course required getting snacks from the grocery store, doing face masks, and a bottle of wine. All of your phones were placed on the table to minimize distractions

While all your roommates and you had different schedules, binging reality TV seemed to be the way you were able to come together. Everyone's eyes were watching the confrontation between two of the contestants when suddenly all eyes shifted to the coffee table once someone's phone lit up.

Specifically, your phone.

"Oh my god, guys! Y/n matched with someone on Tinder," one of your roommates called out. "And they messaged her."

And just like that, Love is Blind was forgotten about. Your third roommate reached for the Amazon Fire Stick remote to pause the Netflix show. All eyes then flickered from the coffee table and you. Never before had you been glad for a face mask to cover your face to hide your rouging cheeks, knowing that will only result in further teasing.

"Relax, you hyenas," you called out. It was as if they were holding their breaths until you read the message.

You typed in your password since your Face ID was not able to recognizing your face with the sheet mask on. The extra stop practically caused your roommates to shake with anticipation. You couldn't deny. You shared the same excitement, as you have decided this year, you were intentionally investing more in dating.

It's not like you had chosen before to not date. It was just something that settled on the back burner. You had always hoped to meet someone more organically, like at the coffee shop or on public transportation. Something out of a Hallmark movie. But that's not how reality worked. When you did meet someone, it was always overwhelmingly flirty which made you instantly retreat from the situation.

Yet, you couldn't deny the happiness you saw from your own friends and roommates when it came to their dating life. Oddly, even if it were a bad date, you wanted to feel the rush of getting ready for someone. You knew that in order to date that would require you putting yourself out there and being vulnerable. Your own saving grace was knowing your morales and not falling victim to social pressures.

Even if it meant not matching with many people because you wanted to take things slow, you would be content as you search for your perfect person.

Dino sent you a message

And maybe that was Dino.

There was no denying the smile that curled onto your lips at the name. You found the name adoring, peaking your interest. Your clicked on the message to read it.

"I've never done this before. Wanna grab dinner tonight?"

Your eyes widened which caused your roommates to lean in closer. The two right by your side let out a gasp, as the other two were practically going to pounce on you. However, you were too preoccupied with looking through his profile.

It took everything within you to maintain your composure, even if you wanted to squeal and kick your feet at the potential date. There were a few photos taken when he's been out to dinner. One in particular that caught your eye was him in a black tee shirt with a silver chain around his neck. Hello big arms! He had a softer face with a sharp jawline. Something about him seemed so friendly, making you even more willing to take the leap of faith.

"Come on, y/n," your one roommate begged. "We want to take a peak on tonight's bachelor."

You rolled your eyes before giving in and showed them his profile. One by one, your phone was passed around. Yet, after each person, there was a wide smile which indicated a sign of approval from your roommates. They knew that it took someone special for you to say yes, but it seemed like Dino had unlocked it just by sending a simple message.

"So what's the verdict, y/n? Are you extending a rose to Dino?"

What can you say? You guys really do love reality TV shows.

Without responding, your fingers went to work on the keypad of the app.

"Yeah, that sounds great! What's your favorite type of food? You can pick the restaurant as long as you meet me there at 7pm."

6:55pm

Dino had a routine when it came to first dates. Of course, he would shower first. He then would pick out an outfit that looked good but also one that was comfortable. Sometimes, after sitting for a while, he disliked the way certain jeans felt and he didn't want to be too squirmy in the chair across from his date. But he didn't want to dress too casually that might give the impression he was putting in little effort into this date.

For tonight, he opted for a pair of baggy jeans, a white t-shirt, and a tri-color cardigan. It was approaching that time of year when it might be a bit warm when the sun comes out, but gets a bit chilly still when the sun sets. Plus, he suggested going to a Mexican restaurant in between the two of you, so he knew while it might be a laid back setting, that he still looked presentable.

He had driven to the restaurant, since taking public transportation would take a bit too long especially since the restaurant was not even 20 minutes away. It was still light out too, but he knew when it was dark, he also had the opportunity to drive you home in the event you opted not to drive.

With his wallet and keys in his pockets, he approached the front entrance of the restaurant. It was a bit crowded for a Sunday night, but honestly, Dino didn't mind either way. He was admittedly excited that he was going to go out with you. Before leaving, Jeonghan and Seungkwan hyped him up and warned "she seems like a good girl, don't scare her."

There, indeed, was something different about you. Dino just couldn't put a finger on it, but that also made this date exciting. He's never had this level of interest in someone before.

As he approached, he noticed you were standing up front waiting for him. He couldn't help but smile at the gesture but also pick up his pace, not wanting you to be left waiting for long. Your thumb double-tapped your home screen, showing the time. Your noticeably let out a sigh before picking up your head. With a slight turn of your head, you made direct eye contact with him.

Dino couldn't help but notice the way your shoulders relaxed. Was she nervous? That's adorable. He wouldn't be rude and comment on it. He was just meeting you after all, and he wouldn't be so mean to embarrass you. Talk about a bad first impression.

"Hey y/n," he said as he approached you. "And you must be Dino," you smiled.

Gosh, her voice sounds angelic.

He never knew of someone who's voice matched so well to who they are as a person, but that wasn't the case with you. You were dressed so elegantly. Nothing too outlandish - just a pair of jeans and a rainbow colored sweater that looked light enough to be worn in any type of climate. You looked cute and breathtaking at the same time. A real life angel.

"I'm sorry if I kept you waiting," Dino apologized.

He reached behind you to open the front door, nodding his head for you to step in first. Your cheeks flushed quickly which caused Dino to smile brighter. "Thank you," you said before walking in. Dino let you take a few steps ahead of him before he joined in behind you. He kept a respectful distance, so you didn't feel uncomfortable but enough to indicate to any patron you two were together.

"Hi! I called earlier for dinner for two? The name is under Lee Chan."

The hostess nodded before looking down at the booklet, her finger acting as if it was guided to her name. Once she spotted his name, she grabbed the sharpie and crossed it out. She then proceeded to grab two menus before turning towards the two of you. "If you will follow me."

You glanced behind him with a wider smile this time. "You made reservations?" "Of course! I wanted to play it on the safe side."

It was such a tiny gesture but one that surely made your heart flutter. You never knew of anyone calling this particular restaurant for reservations, let alone anyone make reservations for the two of you. Knowing that Dino had been that thoughtful made you feel special. That had to be a tell-tale sign of the type of person he was. It just reassured you that this indeed was a good decision, even if it was spur of the moment.

You two were led to a booth along the wall. You were able to people watch if you desired, one of your favorite things to do. But it also offered enough privacy for the two of you to really get to know each other.

"M'lady," Dino said jokingly.

And he's funny! You giggled before accepting the menu from him. Being a bit nervous, you did look over the menu online before the date. You weren't trying to put too much weight on this date and all that it could potentially lead to. However, you still wanted things to go well.

"So? I gotta ask, is your name Dino or Chan? Or is there some secret third option?"

Dino couldn't help but laugh at your question. It was a fair question, and he knew that he would have to provide some context eventually. Lowering his menu, he wanted to be able to make eye contact with you. He didn't want to be rude!

"So, my full name is Lee Chan, but my friends call me Dino." "Dino," you said to yourself, smiling. "Why do they call you that?"

He smiled fondly at the memory of how he gained his nickname.

The menu was fully resting on the table, not only because he had made his dinner selection but because ehe was now fully invested in the conversation with you.

On the receiving end, the attention was a bit overwhelming. You were not so accustom to someone you were interested in making such direct eye contact with you. It only intensified the butterflies you felt in your tummy by his conscious choice of body language.

Yet, it wasn't something Dino just knew to be good manners. Plus, after one date when he looked all over the restaurant instead of just focusing on his date, he learned that's one way how you don't secure a second date.

"Well, believe it or not, y/n, I was a shy guy. Especially when I first was starting college? I could barely say hi without feeling nervous. But I guess as I experienced what it means to be in college, put myself out there, I started to gain more and more confidence. Eventually, my friends started to notice and said I was like the T-Rex in Jurassic Park, just bursting into the room and getting everyone's attention with my loud energy."

You nodded gently as you listened to him, smiling. You wanted him to keep talking to you, about himself. It helped take some of the pressure off of yourself, but you also were genuinely interested in Dino.

"Well, it is a very fitting nickname. Cute, I like it." "Cute like me?" Dino winked.

Immediately, your cheeks turned bright red as you tried hiding behind your menu. Dino couldn't help but chuckle more which only made you want to sink further into the booth, to hide. Was it a pitiful laugh or did he find it attractive?

God, what have I gotten myself into?

The waitress was your saving grace. You didn't have to come to some lame excuse or be subject to Dino's line of questioning quite yet. The waitress also coming around to take your order allowed the blood to subside from your cheeks. You wanted to try to be this cool and mysterious, to leave a good first impression. But honestly? You felt like a fish out of water. This was a brand new experience for you, and you were beginning to think you were too over your head.

Were you even ready to date? How does one even know if they are ready or need more time?

Once your orders were placed, Dino and you handed your menus to the waitress before she left you two alone. Here we go.

"So, y/n, tell me about yourself," Dino asked before taking a sip out of his water.

Okay! An easy question! Perfect.

You sat up a bit straighter in the booth, becoming a bit self conscious of your posture. At least from everything you've heard and seen about dates, even the tiniest things can make or break the date.

You told Dino about how you recently graduated college in the winter. Recently, you took the leap to move the city as your job was switching from remote to a hybrid model. You also needed the change of scenery, which has helped you want to put more roots down in the city.

Dino was impressed with your sheer perseverance. It's never easy to say goodbye to what you now and venture into the unknown, but you proved it was possible.

"Wow, that's really incredible. Good for you, y/n. I moved here with two of my best friends, so I cannot not imagine just making such a big move. Do you live alone?" "Oh no, I have like 5 roommates in our three floor apartment. It really helps." "So like a little family?" "Definitely feels like that sometimes," you laughed.

Truly, you held your roommates close to your heart. Not only did things work out for a good living situation, but they were the first friends you made in the city. They helped you through the homesickness you felt by letting you openly talk about life back home, or push for you to cook some of your favorite meals for them to try.

They also were big supporters in your venturing into dating. They offered many tips into how to date safely and allowed you to ask questions without judgement. They also were clearly very excited you took a chance of Dino rather than running in the opposite direction.

"So is that why you're on the dating apps? If you don't mind me asking, do you find yourself ready to date in a new palce?"

Well, he was half-right.

"Yeah, I think I'm ready to finally open myself up in that way. Moving and getting used to my surroundings really took a large chunk of my time." "No, that's completely understand. I've come to learn you need to be satisfied with yourself and other aspects of your life before being vulnerable with someone else because someone can really shake things up." "Well, for better and for worse."

He smiled at your optimism before nodding in agreement.

"So, if you don't mind me asking, when was your last relationship? It sounds like you have some past experience."

Dino couldn't help but chuckle. It wasn't really at the question himself, but the experiences he has had with dating were a bit comical. You frowned a bit, worrying that you asked the same question. He quickly stopped though to offer a gentle smile.

"Sorry, it's not you. Some memories of past dates came flooding in," he explained.

Well, that's more than I have, so you couldn't wait to hear them. Maybe they were just as funny as some are on the sitcoms you liked to rewatch?

Yet, you couldn't help but wonder if your very limited experience would be a deal breaker.

"What about you though? If you don't mind me asking," Dino said, restating the exact words you said to him.

It was meant to be comforting, but it made you all the more nervous. I guess it was the moment of truth.

"If we're being honest, I haven't been in a serious relationship before."

As you spoke, your tone was softer than from how you had previously carried it throughout the conversation. Dino couldn't help but frown and feel his heart chip a bit. Going on dates and then dating someone was always exciting, so he felt empathetic that you hadn't quite experienced that type of emotions yet. And he also felt sad that people had done you wrong.

"People suck," he murmured. "I'm sorry that you've been out with people who didn't take the time to realize how lucky they were for meeting you."

Your eyes widened at his words. You opened your mouth to clarify but you were so thrown off by his words. Luck? He thought it was a good thing meeting me? A complete stranger? You bit the inside of your cheek to try to rid of the creeping blush on your cheeks. This guy was too sweet to you.

"I mean, I felt like I was lucky when I found out you swiped on me," he confessed.

Now it was Dino's turn to blush. Your eyes widened but you couldn't help but smile wider. It was endearing to see him get a bit shy, almost like he was revealing the past version of himself. You were truly the lucky one that someone had just wanted to spend their Sunday evening with you.

"Trust me, I felt the same way. Even more so when you asked me. It was an easy yes."

Dino's ego came soaring back a bit. He knew the hardship of dating in college and trying to form authentic relationships. What he found himself wanting to do now was give you the best that he could offer to you.

"So is that what you meant in your bio when you put that you are looking for something new?"

It was as if in that moment you could hear glass shattering. Reality had come back into full swinging, shattering any sense of hope you had. There was no fighting the truth because it always finds a way to reveal itself. God, I just want to be eaten by the floor.

"Actually, yes and no?"

You sounded unsure of yourself. Yet, not wanting to jump to any conclusions, Dino kept a smile curled onto his lips. The way he sat was relaxed yet he was leaning in slightly, showing you that he was ready to listen to you. It was a silent way of encouraging you to speak, if you wanted to that is. Honestly, Dino just appreciated that he was with someone who seemed genuine rather than someone looking for a free meal or just to sneak off to the bedroom afterwards.

"So yes, this," you said, gesturing between the two of you. "is new to me. I've never gone on a date with a guy I matched from Tinder."

As if Dino's ego could grow anymore. You took a chance on him? You decided to try something new, to experience something different from your day-to-day all because you saw his profile? And that himself decided to take a risk and message you? Damn, he just won the damn lottery.

"But dating in general is new for me."

Woah, pause. You've never dated someone before? His eyes widened and jaw dropped slightly.

All you could do was sit there as began to panic. Oh no. Everything around you felt like it was coming tumbling down. And to make matters worse, the waitress showed up with your dinner plates. She set them down in front of the two of you respectful. The awkward tension literally being cut by the sound of sizzling meats from Dino's fajitas and the steam rising into the air.

"Let me know if you two need anything else!"

I need you to help me get out of this nightmare.

"Sorry," Dino said, clearing his throat. God, he felt awful. He could actually see the way your heart shattered at his reaction. And the thing was that he didn't even think it was a bad thing. He was just surprised because he was under the impression that everyone his age just dated around and that it was awful.

Time to do some damage control.

"I'm just surprised. I know it can't be because guys weren't throwing themselves at you. I mean, you are absolutely breathtaking," he vocalized. "But you really never have been on a first date? Ever?" "Never ever," you said, laughing nervously.

Now he felt the need just to get to know you, but also be protective of you. You truly were an angel in every sense to him.

The remainder of the date was smooth. It was as if disclosing your little secret helped you feel more relaxed. It also helped that Dino didn't come from a place of judgement. You did end up asking him what all he had experienced, and he admitted that it was quite a bit more.

But it seems like the thing you two were searching for was an authentic love connection. It was something Dino has gotten close to experiencing, but only scratched the surface of discovering.

Dino was the absolute gentleman during the date. He made sure you had enough water, that you were enjoying your meal, and that he even paid. That was something he wouldn't let you dispute. You weren't expecting it either, which also took Dino by surprised. He figured it was just first date etiquette that the man pays. Yet, you've heard too many horror stories from your roommates and TikToks were the guy doesn't even over to pay his half.

He even offered to drive you home. You were hesitant, for which Dino than at least offered to order you an Uber back to your apartment. But feeling guilty of him spending more money, you agreed to a ride back to your apartment. He allowed you to put in your address into the GPS before you relaxed in the passenger seat.

Never before did Dino think there was something special about a person riding passenger seat. Now, he wanted you always to be by his side in this sense. He loved glancing over whenever he rolled up to the stop sign or stopped at a red light that he could see you.

There indeed was something different about you, and Dino felt it. You were unlike any other woman he's been with as you seemed to want to invest in someone, to create something unique. You made him feel as though all those trials and tribulations of dating were all worth it if it meant it led all to you this whole time.

Coming up to your apartment, Dino parked the car. You raised an eyebrow as you watched him get out. It all clicked though when he walked around to open the passenger side door.

"You really are a gentleman, huh?" You said teasingly. "Hey, I'm just making sure you get to experience everything you've missed out on."

You smiled brightly at him before gently getting out of the passenger seat. And this time, you didn't hide your blushing cheeks. Dino loved knowing that he could elicit that type of reaction out of you, and he wanted to do it more often. Hopefully he's done enough to get you to consider a second date.

Once he made sure you were on the sidewalk and away from the door, he closed it. Slowly, he began walking you to the front door of your row house apartment. It was as if he didn't want the night to end. Neither did you.

"So," he began. "How was your very first date?" "It was everything I could have dreamed of and then some. Thank you for your kindness, Dino." "Anything for you, angel,' he confessed in a hushed tone.

Angel. I could get used to that.

Sooner than you two would like, you arrived at the steps of your apartment. Turning towards each other, you seemed like a lost for words. Especially you. What do you say to a guy that seems too good to be real? While you were hopeful he would want a second date, you wanted to be realistic. You couldn't fight the thoughts of your anxiety creeping in - what if he was only kind because he felt bad for you?

"I had a great time tonight, y/n," Dino began.

You were more than happy to let him take the lead on any sort of closing statement. Your racing heart and mind just was anticipating a 'but' to slip in.

"I don't want you to feel pressured to say yes to a second date. I know that there are a whirlwind of emotions that comes with any first date, let alone your very first one. All I'm saying is that I hope you consider seeing me again?"

The man in front of you was not the confident man you just had dinner with. He was biting his lip gently, his hands were in his pockets as he tried his damn best to keep eye contact with you. But, you could tell that he was anticipating a rejection.

Oh, how the tables have turned. Gently, you took a step towards Dino. His eyes widened slightly but he couldn't fight the smile on his face. Leaning up gently, you pressed your lips to his cheek lingeringly.

"And miss out on experiencing a second date? No way."

Now What? | Lee Chan | A Halloween Special?

this is not proofread. i also wrote it in two and a half hours. it's based off this one specific text post I saw on pinterest about a selkie x human accidental marriage, I will attach the image here once I find it again bc it was adorable. it's a lil dramatic but it's cute. mentions of bar, alcohol, first kiss (with clear consent), seungcheol makes a cameo, lee chan is the cutest human being, it got weirdly deep, marriage and death and magic are a thing....idk lemme know if there's anything else that needs to be warned about

“So,” your sister says, pinching the bridge of her nose and trying to sound calm, “explain what happened. Now. Please.”

You go to speak, and so does Chan. The two of you look bashfully at each other before you look her in the eye. “We got married?” you say, a weak attempt at humor.

“To him?” your sister asks, pointing at the bright-eyed, handsome, confused-looking young man, who is currently biting his lip, not at all comprehending why the both of you are in trouble, but knowing you are.

You sigh. “Yes.”

“How?” she asks, a question and a command — explain yourselves.

You think back to how it all started.

***

“I’m bored,” you’d whined, your legs flung over the couch at your sister’s place as you scrolled your phone.

“Then go back home,” she’d said, rolling her eyes at your antics.

“I do not feel like diving into cold water right now,” you protested. “Besides, it’s just as boring down there. The only thing there is to do is eat.” You sit up. “Come out with me,” you beg. “Let’s go downtown! We’ll eat, we’ll dance, we’ll do something aside from being stuck in this house all night watching your stupid shows.”

“Don’t knock it till you try it,” your sister huffs, looking hurt. “Maybe I should kick you out. Send you back to the sea. Or steal your coat so you have to do what I say.”

“Selkie magic doesn’t work on other selkies,” you remind her, and now it’s your turn to roll your eyes. “Please, let’s go out. I want to get all cute.”

The human experience, in your eyes, was addicting. They lived such a short while, and the vast majority cared so very much about what they did with their time, which made for such an intriguing lifestyle. The past year with your sister, who had permanently given up her selkie coat to live life as a human, was supposed to be part of a two-year trip to deter you from following in her footsteps. But you had become enraptured with humans instead — how they loved, how they lived.

And you loved most of all to dance. It was the closest thing to weightless, like the weightlessness of water, that you had found in your human form. Even thinking about it made you feel that euphoric floating feeling. “Come on. Let’s dance,” you beg your sister.

“Oh, fine,” she grumbles, but she’s  grinning. “But you have to promise me you’ll be careful about your coat.”

***

Lee Chan sat at the bar, watching the dance floor as it slowly filled with partiers, his warm eyes catching the lights so that they glittered mesmerizingly.

“Is there someone you’re looking for?” he asked Seungcheol over the loud music. Seungcheol was, for his part, scanning the crowd of people with one eyebrow raised as he sipped his drink.

“Yeah,” he said.

“Who?” Chan asked.

He gave a sly smile. “I’ll know her when I see her.”

“So, anyone?” Chan scoffed.

“Not anyone,” Seungcheol said indignantly. “Someone special.”

At that precise moment, people on the dance floor began to move, seemingly out of someone’s way. As the crowd parted, two women came into view — both beautiful, and both wearing striking floor-length fur coats.

Chan watched them approach the bar with his jaw on the floor. Seungcheol, too, was eyeing them with an appraising look. “I’ve seen her before,” he told Chan, pointing at the one with lighter hair. “I was hoping she’d come.”

“You liar,” Chan teased. “You were looking for someone in particular.”

Seungcheol just grinned, setting down his drink and approaching the lighter-haired woman as she shrugged out of her coat and hung it over a seat at the bar. Chan grinned, making as though he’d turn his attention back to the crowd of dancers, when he met eyes with the other girl in the fur coat.

She was beautiful. The most beautiful woman he’d ever seen, now that he was thinking about it. Beautiful in a way that was so outside of what he was used to, so striking, so otherworldly that she didn’t seem real. And she was smiling at him with a bright curiosity in her kind eyes. Somehow, when he saw her, Chan felt a calm that washed over him like water.

“Chan!” Seungcheol said, and he was roughly yanked back into reality.

***

Who is he? you think to yourself, not able to help glancing at the man who now approaches the handsome fellow talking to your sister. She holds out her hand and introduces herself to him, and he smiles at her as he shakes it. How anyone gets anything done around him when he’s smiling like that is a mystery to you.

“And this —“ your sister says, and you shake yourself and scurry over to her side, “is my little sister. She’s visiting for a few days. Can you take care of her? Make sure she’s safe?” She murmurs this part to the taller man.

He chuckles. “Of course we can. Can’t we, Chan?” he says to the other young man.

Chan. Your heart beats faster with the sound of his name. This feeling is like nothing you’ve ever felt in all your life — feelings as a seal are generally much smoother around the edges, much less concentrated. But as a human, they’ve crystallized. If anger is cold, unforgiving granite in your chest, whatever you’re feeling as you meet eyes with Chan a second time is a diamond, forged in extreme pressure and heat, incapable of breaking.

You step up to him. “Hi,” you say breathlessly.

He’s all smiles. “Hi, yourself,” he says. You two lose yourselves in each other for a moment before Seungcheol clears his throat. Chan, still smiling, rubs the back of his neck in embarrassment. “Um, should we dance?”

You have never heard a phrase you like more from a mouth you’re so enamored with. You discard your coat, carefully laying it on your sister’s, and nod. Chan takes your hand, sending electricity through your limbs, and pulls you onto the floor.

Your sister taps the nearest man, who is clearly drunk and wearing a tiger-print shirt, sitting at the bar. “Could you make sure nobody touches the coats?” she asks, and her eyes are so hypnotizing that he nods in a daze. She hands him a hundred dollar bill, and grabs Seungcheol by the t-shirt. “You’re coming with me,” she says, and he nods, both impressed and a little scared, as he follows her deep into the crowd of people.

You’d thought dancing was your favorite. There was almost nothing that could compare. Although selkie music had its smooth, rich beauty, human music, much like human feelings, was jarring and rhythmic and colorful and loud. Letting your limbs follow the sounds like a current made sense in your mind in a way that speaking hadn’t caught up to yet.

So it was kind of a surprise when Chan started asking you questions as he danced close to you. “Where are you from? What’s your favorite food? What kind of books do you like? Do you like the rain? How about the snow? Have you ever traveled? Where was your favorite?”

“Do I get to know your answers to these questions?” you say as you move along with the beat, your heart soaring every time you so much as brushed Chan. When men have asked you to dance, they usually touched you more, and there was something about the way Chan was keeping his distance that made you almost desperate to close the gap.

He nods. “Sure! Sorry, I’m just a little nervous,” he says, blushing.

You laugh. “Why are you nervous?”

He swallows hard. “Well, you’re really not anything like anyone I’ve ever met before, and I really want you to like me.”

That does it. You take a leaf out of your sister’s book and pull Chan in by the shirt, placing your arms deliberately around his shoulders. “You don’t have to worry about that at all,” you reassure, and he’s a blushing mess. “So tell me
what’s your favorite place you’ve ever been?”

So he talks, and you lean in closer to hear him over the throbbing beat, realizing as you do that this is better than dancing. His hands are still very respectful at your waist, but having them there — being so near to him, smelling his cologne, hearing him talk, brings you to a place of weightlessness you’ve never felt in either of your forms, in or out of water.

You both talk for hours, until his voice is hoarse, and then you just dance. Chan is a rare human — he is actually good at dancing, his hands always positioning you in exactly the right way, at exactly the right time. You follow him easily, letting him guide you wherever he pleases. Somehow, when he dances with you, it feels like the world is spinning three times faster. Every time you dip or spin or lose sight of Chan for a second only to meet his eyes again, it’s like a whole new morning for you, like waking up from a long sleep. His eyes are so full — you can read them like you can read fairytales, just as magic and hopeful and simple, except when you look into them, there is no ending, happy or otherwise. He is entirely infinite. It is Chan’s eyes that teach you how wrong you’ve been about humans. They are not fascinatingly temporary creatures, they are powerfully eternal, immortal in a way that can transcend death instead of simply avoiding it. They endure in their books, in their songs, in their stories and their creations — and at least one of them will live forever in your memories, because you saw infinity in him.

It’s not long before the dance floor is empty but for the two of you and some stragglers. Your feet are getting tired. “I need a break,” you tell Chan, and the two of you find a more secluded area in a stairwell just outside the bar, which Chan has propped open with one of your shoes.

You sit beside him, wanting to be close to him again, and he grins nervously as you stare him down. “Now what?” he asks you.

“I think I want to hear you talk some more,” you whisper, laying your head against his shoulder.

“Where did you come from?” he asks, his tone full of awe.

This is one of the questions you know you should avoid, so you do. “How do you know Seungcheol?” you ask him instead.

“He’s my brother, basically. And I should probably find him,” he sighs. “No doubt he and your sister are somewhere getting into trouble.”

You giggle. “I’m usually the one who does that.”

“Gets into trouble?” he clarifies.

You nod against his shoulder. “I’m definitely more mischievous,” you say, “but she’s more rebellious. So I guess it evens out.”

He laughs. “Should we go? Find them, I mean?”

You sit up and look at him. Those eyes could swallow you whole, and you’d be grateful. You don’t want them anywhere else but on you. “Do we have to?” you whisper. You don’t really know what you’re doing, but you find yourself touching his cheek with your fingertips.

Chan’s eyes drop to your lips and then back to your eyes. “Did you have something else in mind?” he asks, leaning in close.

You have never been kissed. Kissing has been explained to you by your sister, who apparently really likes it, and you’ve seen it in movies and TV shows, but you’ve never tried it yourself. “Are you gonna kiss me?” you ask, nearly vibrating in anticipation.

“Do you want me to?” he asks softly, a laugh in his voice, and brings a warm hand up to cup your cheek.

“Yes, please,” you breathe, and he does.

As his lips meet yours, your body ignites. You are not ready for the surge of fire that takes over you, that has you reaching for Chan like a net reaches for fish, as though it is your hands’ only purpose. The emotion is so blinding and strong — diamonds and fairytales and forever all at once — that if your brain could be occupied by anything else, it would probably be the question of how human beings are able to do this so easily, with so many different people. For you, kissing another person and feeling this way with someone else sounds positively ludicrous. You pull him into you, unable to get him close enough, and kiss him with everything you have, trying to pour all that emotion into him.

And then suddenly you feel it. You pull back from Chan and gasp, your stomach lurching in distress. Chan takes in a shaky breath. “Did I do something wrong?” he asks, in a sort of daze.

“No, it’s not you — it’s my coat,” you say. You can feel it
someone’s hands running along the silky surface, sending goosebumps up your spine. You bound to your feet and help Chan up, running back into the bar and looking at the man in the tiger print, who is stroking your coat.

In slow motion, you see it fall to the floor. Chan darts forward and snatches it up, handing it to you in a swift move. “You should be more respectful of people’s things!” he exclaims, then turns back to you to see you gaping at him.

Because he just gave you back your coat. Unbeknownst to him, he is now your husband.

It doesn’t change anything — you thought a moment like this would be more dramatic, but apparently selkie weddings are as simple as the rest of their culture. You don’t even feel different. You had been told if a human bound you to them in this way, you would be so besotted with them you’d never have a sane thought again, and that had terrified you. But as Chan’s eyes fil  I’m l with worry at the sight of you, you think that maybe you were already so far gone that the magic didn’t have to do much.

You grab his hand. “We need to find my sister.”

And you do find her. She’s acting all lovey-dovey with Seungcheol in the corner of the bar, but frowns when you approach with your coat in hand and Chan in tow. “He just gave me my coat,” you say in a low voice, and she gasps.

She levels a gaze at Seungcheol. “This is still happening,” she says, gesturing between herself and him, “but give me a minute.”

Which leads you to now. Chan is confused, your sister is horrified, and you
aren’t sure how to feel. So you explain it to him.

He takes the whole mythical creature thing really well, considering he had no idea they existed before today. His brow furrows at your explanation of the marriage magic, but he doesn’t complain or gasp or freak out at all. When you’re done, he looks at you. “I mean, I can divorce you, if you want?” he says. “Don’t get me wrong, I — I really like you, but I don’t want to force you into anything.”

You smile sadly. “Thank you,” you say, taking his hand in yours. “But that’s not how the magic works. If you don’t accept our marriage as legitimate, I’ll die, Chan.”

His eyes go wide. “I know that’s not fair to you,” you continue in a hurry, “and I don’t want to force you, either. But
”

“But it’s your life,” he finishes, understanding. “Well
we’ll make the best of it, then.”

Your eyes fill with tears. “I’m so sorry, Chan. It happened so fast.”

He pulls you into an unexpected hug. “Hey, it’s okay,” he says. “From what I can tell, it really wasn’t in your control.” He takes your hand, looking at your sister. “What will you tell Cheol?”

“Absolutely nothing,” she says.

“Think you can get him to come home with you?”

She scoffs. “I won’t even have to ask.”

Chan nods. He gives you a small smile. “Shall we go then?”

***

After a quiet car ride, a quick shower, and a lot of thoughts, you join Chan on his couch. The one hope you have is the way he held your hand the entire way home. He looks up as you come in, and his smile breathes life into you. “So,” he says. “I’ve come up with a plan.”

“Okay?” you say.

“Here’s what I’m thinking,” he says, leaning forward. “We don’t tell anyone we’re married.”

“Good,” you agree.

“We tell everyone we’re dating. It’ll explain why we’re around each other all the time.”

“Great.”

“And if by the end of the year you just can’t stand me, you can hire someone to kill me,” he finishes.

“Huh???”

“If I die, do you get out of the marriage?” he says.

“If you die, I die,” you explain. You lean back and look at him. “You were gonna let me murder you if we decided we hate each other?”

“Well, yeah,” he says, sounding confused as to why this might be inappropriate.

“Chan,” you say, “I’m not gonna lie, when I first saw you, magic or no magic, I knew I was going to love you for the rest of my life. So I don’t think killing you was ever gonna be on the table.”

He’s staring at you again. “I know that’s crazy. But it’s true. And it’s okay if you don’t feel the same way yet, but maybe someday —“

He cuts you off. “I do. I do feel that same way.”

“You do?” you ask, shocked.

“I’m not sure how it is for you,” he says, “but when I saw you for the first time, suddenly there wasn’t enough air in the room. You literally took my breath away. Magic or no magic.”

He smiles at you, and there it is again — that feeling that you’ve lived a thousand lifetimes just by being reflected in his starry eyes. You just can’t help yourself. You lean over and kiss him again, feeling the electricity, the heat, the pressure. Chan is so gentle with you, kissing you softly and calmly with your face cradled in his hands, his fingers playing with the silky hair at the back of your neck, and it undoes you. For the first time in your human life, you cry. When you pull away you have to wipe at your eyes, and Chan even does his part, kissing away stray tears that escape your fingers and making you giggle.

“How about this,” you suggest when you’ve finally pulled yourself together. “We actually do date. And we do our best not to get on each other’s nerves. And we work through the problems we have. And if we get good at it, in a couple years we get married — but in the human way.”

He smiles in relief. “I like it better than my plan.”

“Me too.” You look around his tidy apartment. “So, now what?”

He shrugs. “Wanna watch a movie?”

He pops the popcorn. You grab his blankets off his bed. And you spend the first night of your marriage laughing at each other’s attempts to throw popcorn in the other’s mouth while they’re talking, snuggling up tight together during the scary parts of the movie, and falling asleep in each other’s arms. As you drift off to the background noise of the movie and Chan humming along with the score, you think you might be the luckiest accidental bride on earth.

i’m trying to find these specific fics if anyone knows which ones i’m talking about please let me know!!! one of them is a Dk fic where him and the reader are neighbors (i think) and he gets drunk and confesses to the reader and then avoids the reader. i think the title was something along the lines of “the one smiling guy” (???) and then the second one was a dino fic and it was idol!au this one was like like a one shot smau and the screenshots were mainly on text messages and twitter. the reader was there for him through out majority of his life before and after debut. i can remember some parts of the smau where it was a recap of a live and one of the members revealed that dino lets the reader call him otter or baby otter. i think the last screenshot of the smau was of them confirming their relationship on twitter

i know this was long and i’m not sure if lots of people will see this but hopefully i can find them soon đŸ™đŸ»

Nights Spent With You

Staying the night at your boyfriend's place for the first time can be awkward.

"You are not leaving, Y/n. I can't call myself a caring boyfriend if I allow you to go home in such a weather," Chan was being adamant, his hand crossed over his chest as he spoke.

You had went over to Chan's apartment in the evening and before you knew, it started to rain terribly.

"It's okay, Chan. I can take a taxi," you tried your best to convince him but it was clearly not working, as the pout on Chan's face seemed visible than anything else.

"No, Y/n. You're staying over," Chan usually wasn't this uncompromising when it came to you but he had recently only realized that you've never stayed over at each other's place before despite dating for nearly 7 months. To him, it was like taking another step forward in your relationship. This was perfect timing and he wasn't ready to loose it so easily.

"Uh Chan, even if I do stay, I don't really have anything with me to wear," you use the last excuse you have but seeing Chan's grin you realize that this too had failed. It wasn't like you didn't want to stay. You were too anxious and weren't really prepared for it.

"Y/n, I'm your boyfriend. Obviously, I have clothes that you can wear," Chan walks off to his room, "Follow me. I'm a master of clothes. You can choose anything you want"

Settling with Chan's beige hoodie and sweatpants, you were seated on his bed, a bit amazed by your sweater paws. Chan comes a few minutes later, slightly skipping because of excitement. Why wouldn't he be? He got you to stay over and wear his clothes.

"The hoodie's good?" Chan asks, to which you nod as a reply.

"So I can sleep on the couch and you can take the bed," you look up at your boyfriend with a disapproving look on your face.

"No, Chan. You're sleeping on the bed. It's yours anyways," Chan gives you an exaggerated look, shaking his head.

"And let the lady take the couch? Who do you take me for? I'm the next most gentlemanly person you'd know after Joshua"

It earns him a laugh and playful hit on the shoulder from you, making him grin again.

"How about we just share the bed? We're dating after all," you suggest and Chan nods a little bit too enthusiastically, making you give him a suspicious look, "You devil, were you waiting for me to suggest that?"

"Maybe," Chan smiles innocently, yet mischief glinting in his eyes as he lays himself on the mattress, motioning for you to do the same.

Luckily, Chan's bed was big enough to fit both of you and still had some room left between.

You look up at the wall, feeling a bit awkward. The rain was still pouring outside and it was quite cold. You shiver and it doesn't go unnoticed by Chan.

"Are you cold, Y/n?"

"A bit"

"Do you want to cuddle?"

You turn to look at him, only to find him staring at you already.

"It's okay, Chan. It might not be comfortable for you"

Chan laughs and opens his arms, "Come here, you dork"

"Bu-," before you can say anything Chan had already pulled you into his chest, wrapping his arms around you before placing his head on top of yours. It takes a second for his body warmth to comfort you, "Wait, Ch- Oh wow, this is actually nice"

"I know. I just wish you will let me take care of you more in the future," he whispers and you flush red. Thankfully, your face was hidden.

"And you're so soft. I love you so much," he pulls you closer to him, leaving no space between you two.

"I love you, too".

You Give Good Love

“so yeah, those are the dates and timings of the flight. now, check your schedule.”

soonyoung could hear the ruffling of paper as he waited on the phone. the air con blasted in his face, evaporating any signs of sweat from his pores.

“yeah, i think i’ll be able to make it!” your voice chirped. soonyoung couldn’t help the smile on his face. “thank god! also, don’t worry about being lonely, jeonghan hyung’s sister will also be there, and also wonwoo’s sister.”

“i haven’t seen them in so long! wow, a true trip down memory lane,” you sighed, finally setting aside the calendar on your lap. “they ask about you a lot, i told you to exchange contacts with them!” your brother scolded you.

“i may have forgotten
but all that aside, how much do i need to pack?” you nervously bit your lip, contemplating how much shopping you would need to do.

“it’s a summer trip for one week, basically a mini vacation. pack a good amount of shirts and tops and modest shorts. bring your grandma style swimsuits for the pool.”

“grandma style swimsuit? oh please! i didn’t work out all winter to wear a one-piece!” you complained, flexing your biceps in front of the mirror. “i’ll bring what i want to bring.”

“and if i see any of these perverts staring at you, i’ll chop your head off too, yeah?” soonyoung sighed. “yeah yeah, they are the perverts. and you’re the polished lamb of jesus who has never gawked at wonwoo’s sister right?”

your rhetorical question has your brother stunned as he gapes into the abyss, his mouth filling up with the cool air from the air con. “i’m
how did you—” he begins, only to be cut off by the doorbell of his shared apartment.

“that’s the others. look, i’ll leave now, but make sure to pack properly, okay? text me if you need anything. see you soon.”

with that, he hung up. you smiled as you set down your phone, already deciding the outfits in your head.

as you walked over to your closet, your phone interrupted your thought process with a loud notification.

ìŽì°Ź: oi

ìŽì°Ź: did you get the plane tickets?

with a sigh, you texted back your brother’s best friend, who had somehow managed to find out about soonyoung inviting you.

you: ya, i will be coming.

you could see the dots bouncing on the screen, but you chose to ignore them. switching over to a music app, you started to scroll through and pick your random playlist.

your brother’s song, God of Music started to play and you threw your phone on the bed, enjoying the music.

you could text chan back later. he was really annoying, and it’s not like he meant anything to you anyway.

your phone buzzed with his notifications as you sorted through swim suits. “hmm, this makes my ass look fat right?”

You Give Good Love

as you landed in the jeju international airport, you gathered your luggage and made your way to the gates.

your brother was already waiting outside, clad in a mask and a cap. wonwoo and his sister accompanied him, smiling and waving at you.

“hey guys!” you hugged them, before fixing the crop top that rode up your waist. “i missed you so much!” minji (wonwoo’s sister) squealed.

the four of you got in the car after shoving your luggage in the back. wonwoo sat next to your brother, scrolling through his phone as you and minji chatted their ears off.

soonyoung couldn’t help but peek at the rear view mirror ever so often, catching glances of minji and smiling to himself.

you wanted to call him out, but decided against embarrassing your brother so early into the trip.

within 30 minutes, you had reached the share house. it was a beautiful property, surrounded by greenery. the sounds of waves crashing on the beach wallowed around you as you dragged your suitcase up the ramp.

“eunsok is dying to meet you! we must make a group chat this time, so that we remember to check up on each other, yeah?” minji helped you with your handbag, smiling as you nodded enthusiastically.

in front of the main door, you took in a sharp breath, before pushing the mahogany portico open.

immediately inside, you were greeted by jeonghan, joshua and mingyu lounging about on the couch. however, upon the sound of your entrance, eunseok ran down the stairs, engulfing both you and minji in a bone-crushing hug.

“i missed you!” she screamed, nearly tackling you on the floor. with a giggle, you hugged her back. “me too! its just sad that sophie couldn’t join us.”

muttering agreements under their giggly breath, the two helped you get up, and greet the others.

as you answered jeonghan’s questions about your well-being, you heard heavy footsteps from the stairs.

lee chan’s body appeared downstairs. when his gaze countered yours, you choked on your words.

it had been nearly 5 years since you had seen him in person. and wow, had he changed. dino, as he was famously known as these days, sported much bigger muscles, and a sculpted face. his hairstyle was finally suiting his face, a beautiful contrast to the bowl cuts you had seen him in during childhood.

for the first time in your life, you actually looked at him. and boy, did he look good. the tank top he wore showed off his body as he walked towards you, checking you out silently.

he had to admit, you surprised him. your black crop top, barely there jean shorts, and long brown hair came as a huge shock to chan.

he had remembered you as the snot-faced bratty sister of his best friend. the girl in pigtails who would cry every time he brought up your crush in middle school.

as lee chan’s eyes met yours, he could feel his consciousness slipping away from his soul. god damn, he thought to himself. when did this brat get so hot?

“hi,” chan finally placed himself in front of you, shoving his hands deeper into his pockets. “hi,” you breathed out, clutching the handle of your suitcase tighter.

“oh, you guys are meeting after so long!” mingyu chuckled, his eyes wandering around the room as he noticed the tension between you and his youngest member.

“yeah,” you smiled, transfixed by chan’s eyes. his plush lips parted as he glanced at your glossy ones, before quickly scanning your face.

“okay, that’s enough of your weird staring contest,” soonyoung placed a hand on chan’s chest, pushing him back to create some distance between you two.

“i’ll help you get to your room,” he turned to you. “you’re lucky, since you get it to yourself, but its comparatively smaller and narrower than the others—”

“wait, weren’t we supposed to buy alcohol and meat from the store on the way back?” wonwoo suddenly remembered, making all the eyes in the room turn to him.

“shit!” minji slapped her forehead, tutting. “we’ll go get them then! you wanna come with?” she smiled at you, eunseok joining in.

“i think i should set up my things first yeah? but take soonyoung in my place,” you shoved your brother forward. “he’d love to go grocery shopping with you.”

minji’s cheeks flared up as she straightened her posture, nodding. “sure yeah.”

within minutes, wonwoo, minji, eunseok, soonyoung and mingyu headed off to the car, ready to buy crates of beer for the evening.

as the door shut behind him, jeonghan threaded his hands through his hair, smirking. “dino-yah,” he cooed. “why don’t you help her with her luggage?”

almost immediately, joshua joined in, egging on the maknae as both of you felt the heat creep up on your neck.

wordlessly, chan snatched your suitcase from your hand, beckoning you upstairs. you bowed at the two elder to you, before running up to chan.

he led you to a small room in the very corner of the second floor, opening the door with his leg as he walked in.

chan cleared his throat as you walked in, placing your hands on your bare waist. “so, this is your room.”

you nodded at him, taking in your space for the rest of the trip. the room was furnished with a queen sized bed, a love-seat in the corner, a small desk and chair and a balcony in the very end.

“this door,” chan walked over to a door that sat perpendicular to the entry. “this is the door to a common bathroom. its a jack and jill one, that connects to the room opposite to you.”

“oh? and who’s in the room opposite to me?” you questioned, raising your eyebrow. with a dramatic sigh, chan leaned against the bathroom door, swinging his head to meet your eyes.

“its me.”

your breath hitched as he gulped. “w-wow,” you stuttered out. “sounds great, chan. looks like we are forced together again,” you smirked, crossing your arms as you stared at him.

he knew what you were referring to.

back when you were kids, and way before the idiot in front of you had signed with Pledis, you and soonyoung had gone to his house for a sleepover. chan’s mother had insisted on having you sleep on the bed, since “the floor is no place for a lady to sleep.” you and chan shared the bed, while soonyoung dozed off on the ground.

you were 14 at that time, and you remember how you skin had heated up when chan inched closer to you. “there’s no one to save you from my tickles now, crybaby!” the 15 year old boy had threatened.

yet, chan could barely focus on the flashback, instead focusing on the way your breasts nearly fell out from the neckline of your top.

you noticed his staring. smirking, you drew closer, tightening the cross of your arms.

“what’s this now, you’re ogling at me?”

you had him cornered. chan’s back was against the wall at you forced yourself into his space, breasts touching his hard torso.

“i—in you dreams!” he lied through his teeth, nervousness oozing out of his soul as he stared down at your tits.

god, the things he would do to slot his dick between those beautiful, gorgeous, one of a kind—

“my eyes are up here, channie,” you stuck your tongue out at him, before backing away and walking up to your suitcase.

dino felt his blood rushing south as you bent over to pick your bag up and place it on the table.

you purposefully wiggled your ass, humming to yourself. “channie,” you called out, voice as sweet as a siren.

“yeah?” dino collected himself, shaking away the filth that plagued his mind. two can play that game, he decided, biting his lip.

“can you come help me put my things in the bathroom? i have too much to unpack.”

with a nod, he walked over to your space, his chest touching your back as he leaned over your shoulder. “why did you pack so much, hm?” he teased you, running his fingers down your smooth arms.

not backing down from the challenge, you pushed your ass against him, whipping your head to meet his eyes. “i just wanted to look good, y’know? in case there was a strong, buff, hot man i wanted to seduce.”

with a hiss at your movements, chan’s hands flew to your hips. “yeah? you’ve grown up so much that you seduce men now?”

“oh, i do a lot more than just seduce,” you giggled, skincare long forgotten on the desk as you turned around, hopping on the wooden platform as your arms loosely slung around his neck.

chan slotted his knee between your legs, the pervert in him alive and breathing at the sight of you. you were driving him insane.

how you had managed to change so much over a few years had him baffled. instead of worrying about soonyoung, chan thought with his dick.

“what do you do then?” he questioned, eyes trained on your lips as you spoke. you pushed your clothed cunt down on his knee, biting back a moan.

“i think i would rather show you what i do than tell you,” you whimpered out, darkened eyes peering into his hazy ones.

chan bent his knee further into you, causing a delicious moan to escape your throat. “getting bold now, aren’t you?”

before you could even comprehend his words, your pussy spoke before you, hips rutting into his knee. however, a sharp knock on the door interrupted your little hump session.

“chan? y/n?” seungcheol’s voice spoke from behind the door. “you guys in there?”

chan quickly separated from you, walking closer to the door to answer. “yeah, i’m just helping her with her stuff. what’s up?”

“well, we were ordering some take out, so if you guys could come down and give your preferences, it would be great.”

“yeah, be there in a second,” chan glanced back at you, your teary eyes meeting his. the fucked out expression on your face made his dick jump to life.

but the heat of the moment had passed, which painted both of your cheek's a deep shade of red. realization hit dino way faster than it hit you. shooting you a tight-lipped smile, he shoved his hands in the pockets of his shorts.

with a sigh, chan left the room and left you breathless, panting as your senses slowly returned. the fire of lust in your stomach had dimmed slightly, as realization dawned on you.

what the fuck just happened? and why did you like it?

You Give Good Love

nightfall arrived faster than you expected. but the cool air surrounding the beach raised bumps on your skin as you shoved grilled meat down your throat.

seungkwan and mingyu worked on the grill, with vernon filling up everyone’s plates with the expensive store bought items.

you sat on a stool next to seungcheol, sipping on the beer can that was handed to you. when everyone was busy with their own thing, the leader turned to you and smiled.

“so, how have you been? a long time has passed since we spoke right?”

you had always found comfort in seungcheol. he was the leader of the group, a very reliable and trustworthy person. you remember asking him for advice when you got into college.

“i’ve been well, how are you?” you set your can aside. “any luck with the ladies you used to complain about?”

he laughs loudly at that, spooning a mouthful of ramen. “no, i’m still stuck with one-night stands for now. dating is too complicated!”

when chan hears his hyung talking about his love life, he scoots closer to the both of you, shamelessly eavesdropping.

“what about you? get any action?” seungcheol giggled.

you could practically feel dino’s presence beside you like a wavering shadow, and you chose to exploit it. how dare he leave you with an unfinished orgasm?

“oh yeah, plenty!” you smirked. “don’t tell soonyoung, but i’m lowkey addicted to sex? just feels so good to let off some steam, you know? and the dudes around me are so easy
they fall into my hands like domino.”

the harsh truth behind those words were only known to you. you had been on a dry spell for nearly 2 months now. your fingers and toys were not enough, and you were pretty sure you had started to hallucinate about dick.

“wah, kwon hoshi’s sister is all grown up, huh? good for you girl, go get them!” seungcheol cheered you on, clinking his can with yours.

you sneakily turned to look at chan, who had suddenly grown silent in his conversation with seokmin. “dino-yah. are you okay?”

chan’s eyes met yours and he immediately tensed up. you noticed how white his knuckles had turned, just from gripping wooden chopsticks.

“i’m fine,” he smiled, eyes dancing over your body before he returned to his friend. your bralette was doing nothing to hide your slightly tanned skin, black shorts making your perky ass stand out even more.

dino mentally cursed soonyoung for even allowing you to wear that. but then again, his best friend was too preoccupied with his little crush to pay you any attention.

the rest of the mini barbeque was a tough time for him. the poor boy could only think about your tantalizing words to seungcheol, calling a sweet string of cusses to all the men that touched you before he ever could.

you noticed how your plan was working, hiding your smirk behind a colorful can of beer as lee chan suffered in silence.

within a few hours of outdoor activity, jun and minghao said goodnight to everyone first, tired of all the hustle and bustle. a few others followed suit, yawning and sighing.

at the end of the night greetings, you, dino, wonwoo, seungcheol, soonyoung, minji, and joshua remained near the pool. you saw how your brother kept leeching up to minji, cracking idiotic jokes under her brother's watchful eye.

"i... i think i'll head to bed now, good night guys!" you stretched up from your chair. chan's eyes followed the way your skin gleamed under the fairy lights. he gulped loudly as you purposefully swayed your hips while walking inside.

"you can follow her in, chan-ah," wonwoo smiled, shifting his gaze to the youngest momentarily. "i'll keep kwon hoshi here for a while."

"what are you on about?" dino tried to play it off, scoffing as he crunched up a beer can. wonwoo could only roll his eyes.

"it's obvious you like her, and i'm just giving you a chance to work on it. you really should tone down the staring... soonyoung would kill you if he found out, and i am willing to help you for now. so don't be an idiot and go."

smiling toothily at his hyung, dino whispered out an "i love you" before running up the stairs. he reached his room without breaking a sweat and decided to shower before doing anything.

however, when he was about to slide the door to your shared bathroom open, he heard a loud sigh coming from inside. shamelessly, chan pushed his ear against the door, curious as to what you were doing.

your sigh was followed by a small whisper that sounded like "i can't believe i'm doing this." then, chan heard a zipper being opened.

his eyes widened as he realized what you were actually doing. "no way," he mouthed to himself, feeling his boner re-emerging at a sudden squelching noise.

"mhm," you moaned behind the door, and the pervert in the next room could only imagine what you looked like. "f-fuck chan!" you whimpered, and dino felt his eyes rolling to the back of his head.

the towel dropped from his hand, as his fingers sneaked to the hem of his basketball shorts. with a silent groan, chan stroked his chub as his eyes squeezed shut.

he pulled his cock out, swiping at his tip with his thumb. his brain worked overtime to imagine your hand in place of his, pretty eyes staring up at him.

meanwhile, in the bathroom, you leaned against the counter as your fingers stretched open your pussy. "feels so good," you whimpered, pitch increasing as you imagined his veiny hands pumping into you.

unbeknownst to each other, you and chan had cum to the thoughts of one another that night. chan made sure to cum at the same time as you, recognizing your borderline screams as you tipped over the edge.

what a filthy girl, he thought to himself, panting as his release spurted onto the towel he had discarded.

You Give Good Love

the starting 3 full days of the trip had made you avoid lee chan like he was the plague but personified.

every glance into his eyes had made you remember what you had done on that one night, and guilt seemed to sour your mood.

everyone had decided to go to the beach after having a few afternoon drinks. you spent your time around eunseok and vernon, gossipping about office trolls and work place shenanigans.

chan was simply drinking with seungkwan and minghao, refusing to give you any attention. although he was confused as to why you were ignoring him, he remained silent and decided to give you space.

jihoon suddenly joined into his conversation, hair tied back into a messy ponytail. “dino-ah,” he smirked, snatching a shot glass from the youngest’s hand. “i hear that there’s gonna be loads of girls on the beach today. wanna check some out? we can share if you want.”

as dino downed his shot, he stared back at his hyung with a grin. “don’t you remember what happened the last time we shared a girl? we had to take her to the hospital because she passed out!”

the group laughed, reminiscing the old memory. it wasn’t odd for them to share one-night stands. the boys were family, and they strongly believed in putting each other first.

the large number of giggles near you caught your attention. you and eunseok walked over to the boys, as she queried about their conversation.

“nothing much, it was just a last minute plan in prague
god we almost got arrested,” jihoon snickered, elbowing dino’s side. the youngest could only smirk, pouring himself another shot of soju.

questions flooded your mind as you stared at the man who had you in a chokehold. dino was clad in nothing but swim shorts, his taut muscles on full display for anyone to ogle over.

as the topic changed, your curiosity got the best of you. you staggered over to seungcheol, knowing that the boy would kill to gossip.

“oh hey y/n,” he greeted you with a tilt of his beer can, sunglasses perched upon his nose.

“hi,” you settled down next to him, your can of lemon soda forgotten as your lips quivered. “you look like you want to ask me something,” he chuckled, eyes scanning your face.

“you know me so well,” you smiled, twiddling your thumbs. “i can ask you anything right?”

“yeah, sure.”

“no repercussions?”

“no repercussions.”

with a sigh, you turned to face the leader as you took in a breath. “what happened in prague?”

seungcheol nearly choked on his drink, sputtering out flicks of the liquid as he stared at you with his eyes widened behind his shades.

“of everything you could have asked
why that?” he groaned, wiping his mouth. “come on,” you whined. “jihoon said it like it sounded so fun! i just wanna know!”

with a glance around to see if anyone was looking, the leader smiled and leaned in closer to you. “we swore we would never tell this to anyone but us
but you’re family too,” he began, voice merely above a whisper.

as seungcheol tattled on about the shenanigans that the idol group had been up to, you found yourself gasping. the wild story, the borderline illegality of it all— it was too much. you squeezed your thighs together when seungcheol skimmed past the details of the night they spent.

lee chan’s eyes followed the two of you, completely misinterpreting the situation. your shuffling thighs, masked giggles and wide eyes seemed like flirting to him as he clenched his jaw, downing his shot.

why were you making this so hard for him?

You Give Good Love

it was nearly 1 in the morning when you woke up in cold sweat.

your narrow room greeted you in a greyish hue, curtains pulled back to let the moonlight in. with a sigh, you resorted to calming down, taking deep breaths as you heard the waves crashing on shore. a slight buzzing noise filled your ears. it seemed to be coming from your door, but your mind could barely focus.

your dream had completely ruined your chances of sleep. a ticket to dreamland seemed impossible as seungcheol’s words floated in your head.

i’ve never seen dino go that feral on someone before
 he was insatiable.

she squirted so hard when he was done, it was a huge mess. wonwoo’s glasses got drenched-

with a sigh, you take off your sleeping shorts and toss them to the side, fingers dipping down to your core.

your hole was slicked up, a sticky mess from your vivid imagination. your index finger prodded at your entrance, making you let out a sob.

your body was frustrated, in agony. you wanted to feel chan’s touch instead of your own hands, wanted to feel him buried inside you.

you let out another pained moan, pushing your first knuckle inside your fluttering walls. however, you fail to register the sounds you have been making, and that the buzzing from the outside had suddenly stopped.

you spread your legs wider, pumping your digits inside, letting out a hurt whimper. it would never be enough.

suddenly, the door to your shared bathroom opened with a slam, and a concerned chan appeared in your doorway. “are you okay—”

the sound of his voice egged you on further, hole gushing with a fresh serving of arousal. you all but sobbed at his direction, sex induced fog clouding your brain as your fingers fastened.

“chan,” you whimpered. in the doorway, with water drenched all over his face and a can of shaving cream in his hand, lee chan groaned at the sight in front him.

“help me
” you pleaded. “oh baby,” he growled, setting the can on the floor as he walked over to you. his hands parted your thighs even further, eyes examining the mess in between your legs.

with a sharp smack, he swatted your fingers away, licking his lips at the sight of your pussy.

morals be damned. soonyoung be damned.

“look at you,” his eyes stared into your hazed ones, a hand smacking your heat. the friction had your hips bucking.

“so soaked, hmm? what were you thinking of princess?” he bit his lip. “you
 always thinking of you.”

“fuck,” he groaned, tilting his head back to compose himself. “y/n,” he sighed, one of his hands cupping your face.

you leaned into his touch, lips jutted out in a pout. “tell me you want this, and it’s not just something you’d forget. tell me you want me, and i’m all yours.”

with a smile, you turn aside to place a kiss on his palm. “i’ve never wanted something more in my life, lee chan.”

that seemed to be all the confirmation he needed as he flipped you over onto your stomach, slotting himself between your legs before he discarded his sweats on the floor.

“you have no idea how patient i have been,” he grunts, manhandling you to arch your back as your ass presses against his torso.

he dips his body down, face to face with your pussy. tantalizing, he licks a stripe up your folds, making your knees buckle on the mattress.

you try to look back to see him, but its impossible to move when his hands grab your ass cheeks, forcing his mouth back on you. dino’s chin brushes against your clit as he licks at your hole with a groan.

“so wet for me already, bet i could just slide in and you’d take it.”

you can only moan his name in return, clutching the bedsheets as he ate it from the back. his tongue fucks into your folds, lapping at the arousal that drips out of you in copious amounts.

“f-fuck channie! i’m—”

before you can finish, chan is moving away from your heat. the sudden lack of his mouth has you moaning and whining like a brat.

“easy doll, i don’t want you to cum on my face right now,” he pats your ass, flipping you over to your back as you finally get a view of him.

his slick covered face dips down to meet your lips. the kiss is searing and filthy as you taste yourself on his tongue.

your hands reach for his hair, pulling him impossibly close as you suck on his tongue. using your neediness as a distraction, he quickly angles his hips and pushes his tip past your folds.

“shit!” you cuss, gasping and pulling away. in the heat of the moment, you never actually registered how obnoxiously big chan’s cock was.

as you look down to where your bodies meet, your eyes nearly bulge out of their sockets. his fat tip exerts an experimental thrust, and the sheer stretch of his head has you whining.

“shh baby, it’s okay,” he assures you, pressing small kisses along the column of your throat. “just breathe for me?”

you inhale slowly, allowing your tense body to relax and adjust to him. dino’s attempts at distracting you do not go futile as you feel his fingers pinching your nipples. the pain in your chest makes the ache between your legs lose all meaning.

steadily, he pushes himself inside you, inch by inch entering your welcoming walls that spasm around him. when he finally bottoms out, you feel him in your gut.

this was the fullest you had ever felt. chan’s mouth licks the sweat around your breast, savouring in the salty taste.

his arms rest on either side of your head, making you relish the view. when he finally looks up, you pull him in for a kiss.

its sloppy, and his teeth clash into yours, but you could not care less. your pussy clenches around him as you pull away, nodding feverishly. “chan
if you don’t fuck me right now, i might die— hah!”

one languid thrust into you has your eyes rolling to the back of your head. his metal chain dangles on your chin, the coolness contrasting the heat that squelches down there.

chan takes full advantage of his dancer body as he pistons his hips into you. the stretch has you reeling, nails clawing down his broad back as his body leans into you.

dino’s lips find the spot on your neck, licking and sucking till red and purple bloom on your skin. his matted hair sticks to his forehead, as you turn your head to the side— the visuals becoming too much for you to handle.

you’re met with his forearm in your sight, fingers tightly gripping the bedsheets.

without a second thought, you lean forward and bit his skin, making him groan out as his cock twitches inside you.

“fu- you’re killing me baby,” he smirked, licking his lips as he forces you to look at him.

the brute force of his thrusts has your body thrashing, legs shaking with pleasure.

“feels so good channie!” you hiccup, mind cloud. the only thing you could think of was lee chan and his oh so perfect dick that was ravaging your insides.

when chan looks down, his eyes roll to the back of his head. he could see the outline of himself in your stomach, prodding out with every thrust.

a creamy and frothy ring lined the base of his cock, a testament to how your greedy cunt was sucking him in. your warm walls squeezed hard around him when one of his hands dropped down to press the bulge on your stomach.

“feel me in there, don’t ya?” he babbled, hips faltering at your vicious grip. “y-yes!” you cried out, feeling your stomach contracting.

with a loud growl, chan’s lips rest upon yours. “you close baby? can feel your greedy little cunt crying f’me,” he mumbled, licking your bottom lip.

your pathetic nods made him remove his hand from your stomach and find your clit instead, circling the bud as you mewled.

“cum for me baby, show me how much you needed this cock in you,” his eyes fluttered shut, forehead falling against yours.

“i’m cu— oh fuck,” you whimpered, suddenly feeling your orgasm rip through your body. your pussy clamped down on him, gripping his length like a fleshlight.

dino moaned in your ear about how good you felt, thrusts turning sloppy as he pressed kisses on your earlobe.

he continued to move inside you, drawing out your orgasm as he chased after his. overstimulation had tears spilling from your eyes, clawing at his pecs as you sobbed. “ ‘s too much channie! hurts!”

“just a little more baby, clench round me like that aga— FUCK!” he lost himself in you, feeling your walls clamp down on his cock, milking him for all his worth as his orgasm washed over him.

in a desperate attempt, chan’s thrusts turned erratic as he pumped his load inside you. “s-so good,” he whimpered, hips stilling inside you as he softened. you groaned at the warmth, shutting your eyes in ecstasy.

you both were panting, bodies entwined in a soft caress. time seemed to still when lee chan looked into your eyes again, smiling like a lovesick puppy when you kissed him.

your mouth whined pathetically when he pulled out, falling to your side as he sighed. wanting to be close to him, you shuffled near him.

your fingers dropped down to your pussy as you tried to plug his cum inside you, moaning at the sensation of being so incredibly full and warm.

“that was
the best sex i’ve ever had, sheesh,” dino wrapped an arm around you, pulling you impossibly close.

you brought your hand up to place on his sweaty chest, giggling as he kissed the top of your head. “better than prague?” you teased.

lee chan’s pecs tensed under your hold, as his eyes widened, staring at you in the dark. “what— who told you about that!” he exclaimed, ears dusted pink.

“seungcheol’s very easy to gossip with,” you winked, staring up at his pretty face. “wow
i can’t believe this hyung,” he grumbled, hearing you laugh.

“hey! this only happened because i was thinking about everything you did to that poor girl,” you smacked his muscle, hearing him wince. “why were you so feral that night, lee chan?” you voiced your question out loud.

he sucked in a breath as his grip tightened around your shoulder. “you really want to know?”

“i’m dying from curiosity,” you mused. with a sigh, chan turned his head to face you fully, meeting your eyes in the moonlight, before he whispered out an answer.

“she had the same name as you.”

Romantic Gestures

95s, 96s, 97s, 98s, 99s ··- àž…^._.^àž…

a/n: another one that took me a long time lmao. there are some that i debated on, as in, it didn't really fit the members in the narrative i create, but feel free to give me your own opinions too. enjoy reader !!

genre: fluff

warning: none (do tell me if i missed any!)

Romantic Gestures

Minghao: Hao and his ways of showing you that he cares !! he’ll randomly ask for some of your clothes, ones that you don’t wear often but feels comfortable wearing, and when you ask why, he answer with a simple, “I’ll put them in my home for whenever you stay the night.” istg this man and his silent romantic gestures. And he’ll be so cool about it, like ‘yeah I just want you to feel comfortable whenever you crash in, want you to feel like it’s your home too. What about it?’... Everything, hao. Everything. It isn’t as romanticized of a gesture but the sole thought of how he prioritizes your comfort and your ease melts your heart.

Mingyu: It’s the little things that he does secretly that hits a little bit harder. Whenever the two of you go out on a date, you always wanted to have a little time to yourself. Walking around the mountains, humming some tune while watching stars fall, or when you helped wonwoo’s s/o clean up their kitchen before going for a movie night with your lovers. In those moments mingyu would always sneak up behind you, silently capturing the moment, smiling to himself at how adorable you look doing the most mundane things. And sometimes you would catch the sound of the camera shutters but never really mind them, but what you didn’t know was that he kept them in physical form. Something you both can hold and keep. So when gyu caught you looking at those pictures in the bedroom drawer, he sneaked up behind you, arms finding comfort on the small of your waist, head resting on your shoulder. And with the most smiliets, giddiest voice ever, “surprise?”

Seokmin: See, seokmin is really attentive. He’s extremely caring, and may not seem like it, but his extroverted-ness have taught him how to read people. And so when you waited for your parents to arrive at the restaurant where you would introduce soekmin to them, he knew he needed to be the best boyfriend ever to you. The 10 minutes that passed seemed like an eternity and by the way your eyes were fixed on your food, slowly growing cold, he knew you were more than nervous. Not that your parents would be unaccepting, they’re the sweetest people ever, but the mere thought of them expecting more from you turns your stomach upside down. So, instead of stimulating your brain more by talking, he placed his hands on your knee. Slowly rubbing it, making incoherent shapes, which are mostly wonky love hearts. And when your parents arrive, he moved his hands away. Only to be brought back by yours, intertwining your fingers with his. Saying the most silent ‘thank you’.

Seungkwan: Seungkwan would leave little memo notes on your laptop and you would find your self chuckling at the content. It started out with simple words of affirmation. He’d shyly give it to you, face red, denying it as anything romantic. But as you get comfortable with each other, he’d winked at you before you go into your study/office room, and you’d find yourself head to head with pink and yellow sticky notes. All saying your favorite kdrama lines, your favorite actor quotes, song time stamps. It was so bizarre going through them whenever you feel yourself slowly deteriorating, because a little look at the neon paper would give you a boost knowing that seungkwan wrote it with your comfort, safety, and energy in mind. And once you finished your work, you would cling to him all day teasing him that what he did was romantic, and was cheesy, and you absolutely loved it.

Vernon: His go-to gesture to comfort you is to lend you his spare earphones. The main reason why he favors them more than headphones despite the comfort and quality the other gives.. It’s such a simple gesture with such simple reasoning behind it. All he’s trying to say is ‘wanna listen to my music? I think you’ll like it’ or ‘take your mind off of things for a sec, i have something to show you
here, listen to this.’ but that little move of a hand of him offering you the unused earbuds means the world to you. Shows you that he cares, that he wants you to know this musical part of him o distract you from things that might be bothering you at the time, inevitably falling for him more. So in lonely bus rides, or stressful study/work sessions, hansol would raise his eyebrows, you would nod, he’d give you his spare earbud, you’d use it, and with intertwined hands, go on about your day bathing in eachother’s company with your shared playlist playing.

Chan: You’d be lying if chan giving you bouquet of flowers everytime he drops by your house wasn’t cheesy. It was. It was hella cliche too. But you love it and it fills your heart to its brim. Chan wasn’t really a flower/plant person per-say. But with the knewly found knowledge that you raise little plant children, he decided to show you that he loves that aspect and characteristic of you by giving you more plant babies. Don’t get me wrong though, he doesn’t just gives you it and leaves it to wilt. He did some research flowers, how to take care of them, what soil is best used, and most importantly, it’s meaning. You know chan, he’s all for the meaning of little things, and if that means it can show you how much he loves you, that's all he needs.

Pillow talk with Seventeen

A/N - just something quick I’ve been working on alongside a longer oneshot featuring Mingyu and Wonwoo coming soon! Enjoy!

Disclaimer: this is for entertainment purposes only and does not represent any of the members in real life. Any warnings you think I’ve missed, please let me know!

S.Coups/ Seungcheol

Clingy. Like, will pull you in to bed and koala you into spooning. He’s always the big spoon of course, mostly to stop you from putting any more distance between you than he wants. Likes to mumble random words of affection that come to his mind. And WILL expect you to do the same in return.

I think it’s fair to say that he will sulk if you don’t wait up for him. Seriously, if he comes home to find you already asleep he will feel sad that he can’t have a proper cuddle. Because he doesn’t want to wake you when you look so peaceful. But don’t worry, whenever this happens he always gets cuddles in the morning instead.

Jeonghan

Is a tease and will tease as a warning. That basically means that whatever he wants goes. If he only wants to cuddle, then it doesn’t matter what you want, you’re only getting cuddled. That’s not to say he’s mean at all. It’s just there’s a hierarchy set in your relationship and if you try to test that then beware.

Overall, he’s very gentle with you. Soft touches and lingering kisses - you know, the ones where he pulls away earlier than you expect just so he can watch you chase after his lips. Smug. And loves to make you blush by pointing out how clingy you’re being and asks if you’ve been touch deprived.

Joshua

Ambience is important to him. Usually he will light a couple of candles and turn off the lights so the room is left in a warm glow. You both lay on your sides, staring into each other’s eyes as you talk. And everything is peaceful.

Joshua is quite affectionate and so he likes to have his arm on your waist, slowly brushing up and down your torso. Likes when you do similar ministrations to him too, like placing your hands on his chest and smoothing them along his abdomen. Also finds it really amusing if you grab his arms and give his biceps a squeeze (will tense them a bit more so he can hear your praise over how strong he is).

Jun

If Jun had it his way, he could stay up all night taking with you. Usually, you end up having to gently quiet him down because he gets carried away with his excitement. Initially, you begin cuddled into each other, the soft pillows and duvet surrounding your bodies in a little cocoon. And you share whispers with each other, light words of affection, as your eyes flutter shut.

As Jun admires, he begins to compare you to all the cute things that pop up in his mind. But the more he goes on, the more silly he becomes and the less resolve you have against fighting the urge to laugh. And so the jokes begin. Before you know it, you’re both giggling together and, just in general, messing around. Until you’re finally so exhausted that you no longer have enough energy to laugh.

Hoshi/ Soonyoung

Always beats you to the bed, laying with his hands outstretched and grabbing the air in signal for you to fall into his chest as quickly as possible. It’s very lighthearted and affectionate with Hoshi. Particularly with his tiger agenda.

Loves burying his face into the crook of your neck because he knows that’s where you’re most ticklish. Snickers into your skin when you begin to wriggle around in his hold, but you never have a chance to escape from his death grip on you. Will growl when you refuse to stop moving. Might have even not so accidentally bitten you once too

Wonwoo

Snuggling into bed with Wonwoo, he likes to make sure that you are comfortable and settled before he himself gets cosy. That means he will need a lot of reassurance that the way he is holding you is ok. His favourite is to have your head laying on his chest, one arm around your waist and the other gently combing through your hair.

Just before sleep is Wonwoo’s favourite time to spend with you because there’s no distractions to get in either of your way. He can ask you all the questions he wants about your day etc
and always enjoys your infinite musings about the world. Deep chats are his favourite with you, it allows him insight into the depths of your mind and vice versa. You’re the only one he allows to explore that much of him.

Woozi/ Jihoon

A lot of the pillow talk that goes on between you consists of him talking away about his current work. It’s a good time for him to vent out any stresses so you don’t mind listening to him until his hearts content. There have been times when you’d dozed off half way through his rants, mostly because you find Woozi’s voice so soothing, regardless of what he’s talking about. Not that he minds at all. In fact, he adores how angelic you look while asleep.

Physical affection is generally in the form of him lightly holding your waist or holding hands. Nothing too extravagant. Although, without fail, he will give you a goodnight kiss just before he falls asleep.

DK/ Seokmin

There’s two options when it comes to pillow talk with Seokmin. He is either peppering feather light kisses all over your face, all smiles and giggles. Or he’s dead serious in his advances. The serious times consist of him alternating between wanting nothing but to stare deeply into your eyes and making out. In which case, good luck trying to actually have a conversation with him, let alone having enough time to get a word in edgewise.

When he’s in a more lighthearted mood, he likes to play the little game of seeing how many times he can interrupt your sentence with kisses before you get annoyed and give him that faux-serious glare. To which he simply pecks your lips again and has you absolutely melt for him.

Mingyu

Considering the given name of pillow talk, there is never really that much talking going on. Mingyu prefers to have more physical signs of affection, particularly when you’ve just settled in to bed. His favourite is to be sat up against the headboard with you cuddled into his chest. Especially so if you tuck your head under his chin. Sometimes he’s feeling extra clingy (which is more often than not in his case) and he’ll pull you fully onto his lap and hold you so tightly. And kisses are mandatory. He will sulk if you refuse.

Adorably smiley when you are too tired to protest against his affection. Like, seriously, he didn’t know his heart could beat this fast just from how passive you are to his wants. Though, let’s be real, how could anyone ever turn down a cuddle from Mingyu? I swear it would be like committing a crime.

The8/ Minghao

Having quiet time is important to Minghao, so he thrives off of just being able to lay in silence with you at the end of a long and tiring day. Silently admires every part of you and likes to mindlessly play with your fingers because - and he’s adamant on this - it’s fascinating how small your hands are.

He’s a little more sneaky with other forms of affection. And by that I mean like it’s only after he is sure you’re asleep that he will bring your hand up to his lips (which he hasn’t let go of the entire time) and press a delicate kiss on each of your fingertips slowly.

Seungkwan

Did somebody say sleep? Not when it concerns Seungkwan. He cannot get enough of laying in bed with you, whatever the circumstance. He likes it if you are the one to initiate cuddles because it makes him feel wanted. Gives you adoration filled side glances whenever you do something habitual/ without realising.

For real, he has a mental list of things you do subconsciously that he loves. For example, how you begin with a normal proximity between you at the beginning of the night, but somehow end up practically morphing into him shortly after. How you mindlessly play with his fingers as you recount the events of your day or latest gossip. But his favourite is when you randomly reach out to caress his cheek, brushing the pad of your thumb over his skin with so much love it makes his heart swell.

Vernon

Does this thing where he pretends not to notice you get into bed beside him, instead keeping his focus on his phone screen. But his inability to hide his smile gives him away. You usually have to snatch his phone from his grip, quickly leaning in to press a quick peck to his lips before he can gage what’s happened.

It’s never just a quick peck though, his hand instantly gravitating to holding your cheek so he can deepen the kiss. Eventually, you’re so tried from leaning over him in an uncomfortable position that you begin to move back, Vernon chasing after you, in no way done with making out.

Dino/ Chan

He just wants kisses, nothing else. Seriously, the second you fall into bed together he’s captured your lips desperately in his. He’s happy, so smiles the whole time and whispers how cute you are in breaths between more kisses.

Presses you into the mattress below him, holding your hands on either wide of your face as he stares down at you devilishly. And actually has the audacity to make comments about how desperate you are for him through laughter when he’s the one that hasn’t let you get so much as a hairs breadth away from him the whole time.
