I know the feeling! When friends of mine would discuss it I was like, “You read books to go to sleep? That’s so weird!” Truth be told, I was considered the weird one 🤣
I later tried it… I never felt tired. And after that one time i was never read to bed again. I would just let my brain dream.
My mom found that it didn’t wind down the kids, just made them bored, if anything it didn’t help. Sorry mom! Then again… I was being read the first book of Harry Potter…

I was quite literally just put to bed an ordered to sleep as a kid, or would entertain myself with fake scenarios untill I did. 😂
I make my mom take pictures of me on vacation and end up not even posting a single one of them because I can't think of a caption lol

I crave a masterpiece I crave a purpose I am tired of bad poems Nightmares and essays I’m tired of four hour art pieces that lead me nowhere I’m tired of photographs hung on the wall with scotch tape Fragments of art Nothing compares to the scope of the torso-sized painting I did in 5th grade A mishmash of colors I can’t get that face out of my head Blue eyes condemn me Maybe the only reason I care is because my mother can’t throw it away She even framed it Damn. Where’s the ribbon I won in 6th grade? That ribbon tacked onto an art piece I didn’t even know was worth the gallery (Though my teacher sent it in any way) 4th place Where are all my little awards from elementary to middle? “Congrats on the honor role, here’s a coupon for Christmas” I remember when I tried to throw away your Mother's Day gift It wasn’t pretty enough It wasn’t a masterpiece made in the 7th grade Good thing you never throw anything away

So I just called my dad for the nth time during the day, because I'm suffering from dengue, and I kept telling my dad about my condition! So i thought I might be causing him a disruption from his stuff, so i apologised saying I'm sorry for disturbing you!
