My absolute favourite, the magnapinna squid, aka big fin squid. They're so CUTE.

Didn't realize how long the English alphabet was until now... Still have a good chunk of alphabet animal challenge to go.

THESE ARE THE BEST SQUID IN THE ENTIRE FUCKIN’ OCEAN THEY ARE SO AMAZING THEY’RE SUCH GUYS SUCH GOOFBALLS!! I know people are scared of these squids and I can understand why but personally I ADORE them because they really just don’t give a shit the only downside is that they live at depths that are impossible to swim in and YES I COUNT THAT AS A DOWNSIDE I WOULD LOVE TO ENCOUNTER ONE WHILE JUST SWIMMING ABOUT

kind of a more official version of her design with lore and everything

she's from the deep sea metro and lives in a large apartment complex called The Mariana. despite being a tenant in a building that houses many denizens of the deep, she keeps to herself for the most part.

being a deep sea inkling, her colors are more muted than surface inklings and her body is much longer/taller (classic case of deep sea gigantism).

she still has the creative spirit of any inkling, she spends her time doing arts and crafts and listening to music (she's a big fan of Dedf1sh)

she is shy, easily frightened, but still looks for connection with others. she crochets and sews clothes since its hard to find clothes to fit her proportions. she is socially awkward and that can comes across as creepy, and that frightens her so much that keeps her from making friends. poor maggie :(
