it has been brought to my attention recently by the light of my life, the one who is contractually obligated to love me forever, aka my husband, that i am the only person he has ever met who has a tendency to thank my car once i've finished driving it somewhere. or apologize to it and pat it comfortingly if i hit a pothole, or have to slam on the brakes, or do any number of things that would take me, a human being, unpleasantly by surprise. i personally think this has to be more common than he thinks, but just in case i really am the weird one, it's time to do some very serious science about it in the form of a tumblr poll. so:
