Octogoblin - Tumblr Posts
Ok,so I just had a fucking thought of a hc where Otto and his boyfriend Norman; teaches Tobey!Peter children how to create weapons and other technological stuff, which culminate in MJ and Peter looking amazed to their children while they look more interested in the Green Goblin's glider (which Norman is very interested in explain everything he could to the little ones and answer their questions) and Octavius who is holding what they just finished creating in hands, with a tired look of having take care of four crazy kids for a evening (Norman included ™️) just go like: "Yep; they're a little bit fascinated by all what science can do, but they just thought it would be so cool to create this tool to help you fight against crime".

Green goblin got some moves
I literally spent like an hour making this and I have no idea why. Please enjoy.
This why we can't have nice things anymore. 🙂
Peter 2: *To Otto* The other Peters and I noticed heard that you didn't have enough time to vacuum anymore, so we got you and Norman a Roomba!
Otto: *Watching the Roomba cleaning* Oh, thank you, boys! This will help tremendously.
Peter 1, 2, and 3: You're welcome, Otto!
Goblin: *Walks in seeing the Roomba* Hell yeah, is that a new glider?!
Otto: *Smile drops, reaching for Goblin* GOBLIN, DON'T!
Goblin: *Jumps on Roomba, breaking it instantly before tripping*
Parker Brothers: *Staring in shock*
Otto: *Sighs*
It's beautiful 💗💗

they really pulled an uno reverse card on their height difference huh

Ok, so, everyone knows spider ham, right? And how the universe he's from, everyone is a cartoony animal version. Well, I've seen how the animal version of doc ock is a cat while green goblin is a turkey. And then I remembered, I like Octogoblin.
Doctor Octopussycat/Green Gobbler, anyone?
Gremlin AU. Octogoblin!
Little mini headcanons about a gremlin for Octogoblin! I may expand on this in an actual fic, but I currently am working on two fics at the moment, (I'm on Archive of our own) and I want to finish one before i start another fic.
My username on AO3 is LibraThyWriter.
Anyway, let's get into the headcanons/mini fic!
Takes place in the Raimi Verse after No Way Home. 20 years into the future like other fics.
Otto and Norman are already together.
Otto goes out with Peter at night to help fight crime, leaving Norman alone most nights.
Its fine for a while, Norman happy with Otto doing good in the world and fighting with Spidey.
But after about 2 months, his feelings start to change.
As he smiles and waves to Otto goodbye, he can't help but feel a tugging and empty feeling in his chest.
He feels useless.
He hides this from Otto for a bit, but bottling up the feelings is a bit overwhelming.
After Norman says bye to Otto as he leaves, a forced smile on his face as he fights off a frown. He goes to lie down, a depression about him from the useless feeling. Wishing there was a way to go help Otto and Peter.
He then gets an idea.
He runs into his lair, which has since been cleared of all the weaponry and glider, and looks around if the *thing* is still there.
It is.
It's a beta version of the Goblin Formula, something that Goblin had grabbed the first night he appeared as well as the other final versions of the formula.
The beta version is like a semi clean slate, maybe he can edit it and making it so it only improves strength without the side effects! He's not a scientist for nothing after all!
He grabes the Beta Formula and gets to work.
Over the next couple weeks, as Otto goes out with Peter, after the goodbyes and goodnights are said, Norman jumps up and gets to work on the Formula.
He uses trial and error to find out and narrow down what chemicals to use and take out to ensure there's no unwanted visitors with the new Formula.
Otto notices how tired Norman is in the mornings and ask if somethings wrong.
Norman claims he's just had some nightmares and Otto then promises that he and Norman will have a night in soon.
This brightens Norman, but there's a touch of disappointment afterwards because he knows afterwards that the nightly going outs will come back and the uselessness will come back.
This fuels Norman's determination to continue working on the Beta Formula.
Work continues.
Otto starts to suspect that Norman's up to something, but doesn't call him out on the account of wanting concrete evidence that Norman's doing something.
A month goes by, and the formula is pretty much complete in Norman's opinion.
He's taken out all the possible mind altering chemicals that could cause the Goblins return, and replaced them with alternate chemicals.
It hasn't been fully tested, but Norman's patience in himself is growing thin while the while the useless and empty feeling is growing stronger, egar to help his honey.
After its done mixing, he eagerly grabs it and holds it up.
Unlike the original Goblin formula, this one is a more light green than dark green.
He's about to down it, but then gets second thoughts.
what if it goes wrong again, what if the Goblin comes back?
But then, other thoughts enter Norman's head.
What if Peter and Otto get really hurt or worse and no ones there to help them, what if Norman has to live the rest of his life not only burdened with the death of his son, but his husband and other son as well?
The second round of thoughts make his decision and without any more hesitation...
Norman downs it.
To be continued in Part 2!!!!
Octogoblin Gremlin AU Pt. 2!
The Gremlin AU in the octogoblin universe is essentially the Goblin Formula gone wrong. Im thinking about making this the case for The Gremlin AU as a whole, and leave the emotional transformation for the Turning Green AU. But idk, anyway, here's part two!
Otto gets home around 4 a.m, bidding Peter Goodnight.
Beforehand Otto told Peter how's he's gonna take a break from the crime fighting for a bit to spend time with Norman. And then ask if that's okay.
Peter assures him it is and tells him to have a good night and then swings away.
Otto smiles, proud of the young man Peter is and then walks into the apartment.
He's excited to cuddle with his husband for the rest of the night and hopefully for a good chunk of the morning.
He heads into their bedroom, trying to be as quiet as possible as to not wake Norman.
However, to his surprise, and worry, Norman's not in bed.
This confuses the doctor greatly, as Norman has always been in bed waiting and sleeping for Otto since his first going outs as a crime fighter.
Otto then assumes that Norman must be in the bathroom or fell asleep somewhere else and then he goes to look.
However, unbeknownst to Otto, as he leaves the room, two yellow eyes peek out from under the bed, anxiety and dread filled as he quivers with regret.
The small creature needs to get back to his lab and reverse this before Otto finds him.
Otto is now searching around their apartment. His worry growing as he only found an empty bathroom and even emptier couch. He's searched everywhere else Norman could be but found nothing.
But, there is one place he hasent checked, but he and Norman agreed to never open it again.
The lair.
Meanwhile back in the bedroom, the small creature is desperately clawwing at the body mirror and trying to get it open. His large ears perk up once he hears footsteps approaching.
His eyes wide as quickly scrambles to back under the bed.
Otto enters and heads towards the mirror. Both nerves and anger eating at him at the thought of Norman going back into the lair, when they specifically made a promise to each other to never going in there.
He opens the door and steps in, his actuators surveying the area.
And due to the surveying, they don't notice a small green creature scampering in behind them.
The creature quickly dives under a tabel to avoid detection.
Otto is searching, and soon sees something on the ground that confirms his fears, but also adds to his confusion.
Norman's clothes?
The small creature is watching from the darkness underneath the desk, his breathing fast and big yellow eyes watching egarly, wanting Otto to leave to fix himself.
But also silently apologizing for breaking his promise to his husband.
So I kinda forgot to mention in the last post that after the two got back, Norman cleared his lair of weaponry, but was still wary of it. Otto shared the same feeling about it and how it brought about to many bad memories and they promised each other to never go in it again.
A promise which Norman broke. But he saw it that he was breaking the promise for a good reason so he could help Otto.
As for the beta formula, Norman kept that hidden as well.
To be continued in pt.3!
Octogoblin Gremlin AU Pt. 3!
Thank you to everyone who left notes in the previous post! And thanks to all who suggested and asked to make content for this AU and Turning Green! Any art or content of this AU is highly welcome and appreciated! The only thing I ask is to credit me.
But besides that, let’s get into Pt.3! Pt. 4 will be the next and may or may not be the last of the octogobling gremlin head canons for now!
- Otto has been searching for Norman for the past half hour now.
- He tried to text him, but to his dismay the pile of clothes on the ground next to him rang, revealing that Norman had also left his phone behind.
- Otto is now leaning against a desk in the lair, having searched the place and only finding beakers and other chemistry supplies.
- Meanwhile, the gremlin is panicking as his husband is leaning against the desk he’s under.
- Back to Otto, his actuators are hovering around him, waiting for a command on what to do next or how to help their father in any way they can.
- He appreciates the concern, but there’s nothing they can do right now, he dismisses them as he mulls over if he should call Peter or not.
- The actuators all lower, saddened they couldn’t help their master.
- And then one of them shrieks.
- Otto jumps at the loud noise and whips around in time to see one of his lower actuators, Larry, hissing and snapping at something under the desk he was leaning against.
- The small gremlin is now against the wall as the startled actuator keeps its optic trained on him and hisses if he tries to move.
- Otto is confused as to what could be under the desk that has Larry on edge, and so he tells Larry to back off (which the actuator does reluctantly) leans down, looks under, and...
- There’s a loud shriek again as a green blur darts past him.
- Otto jumps back and yelps. The actuators respond to his sudden fear and reach out to try and grab the creature. But due to it’s small size and speed that is proving to be quite difficult.
- Otto is barley moving as he watches, trying to determine what the hell that thing is exactly.
- Desk and tables get overturned in the conflict as the small creature tries to duck under them to escape.
- Otto has snapped out of his surprise rather quickly and is now trying to catch the small creature himself.
- The gremlin is in a complete panic as he avoids the now giant actuators chasing and snapping at him. He runs and jumps as fast and agile as he can, and soon sees a path towards the door. The gremlin books it, and then...
- He yelps as something grabs his ear rather harshly.
- Otto mentally thanks Moe for catching the creatures as he walks up to examine it.
- Its... green, and small. It’s ears are almost as large as it’s head and has tiny claws on it’s fingers and toes and reptilian yellow eyes. In fact it’s whole body seemed to be covered in small, light green scales. A sharp nose and fangs and teeth are what Otto see next as the thrashing creature tries desperately to get it’s ear free. Wincing and making a high pitch whining noise as it tries clawing and kicking at Moe.
- Otto is trying to figure out what he’s looking at and yet...
- It oddly reminds him of the Green Goblin.
- The gremlin has stopped struggling, and is sitting still while looking up at Otto, fear and guilt running through him.
- Otto looks hard into those yellow eyes, and they look back fear stricken.
- Otto deduces that there has to be some connection between Norman’s disappearance and this small creature appearing.
- He notices how uncomfortable the creature looks, and though it has stopped thrashing it’s keeping a grip on the actuator claw where it’s ear is being held.
- Though Otto has no idea what the creature is per say, he leans down and holds it, causing it to flinch, and tells Moe to let go of it’s ear.
- When Moe releases him, the gremlin lets out a sigh of relief, and then stiffens up when Otto picks him up.
- The creature is light, and probably doesn’t weigh more than 10 - 15 pounds. Otto holds it against his chest so it can’t run. He goes back to the clothes and examines them more thoroughly.
- The creature is holding still, but is trembling slightly.
- Otto goes though the shirt and hoodie, still trying to determine what correlation the creature and Norman had.
- Did he make it in the lair? Maybe it was some hidden project that he didn’t tell Otto abo-
- Otto’s hand hit’s something, where the hood pocket is.
- Otto feels the creature tremble more.
- He feels around the pocket and sticks his hand inside. he feels the hard object and pulls it out.
- It’s a vial, empty and with a white label on it.
- He reads the label, and his eyes widen, and the gremlins hands grip Otto’s coat tightly as Otto’s arm around the creature suddenly tightens a bit, the gremlin knowing that Otto put the pieces together from the hastily written words on the vial.
- Goblin Serum 2.0
Pumpkin headcanon
In between Gremlin AU post.
I just got a head canon idea that while in Gremlin form, Norman absolutely adores and craves pumpkins.
To combat these cravings, Otto bought those little mini pumpkin things you see at grocery stores during the fall for Norman to munch on, which he very much appreciates. Peter later on learns about this little quirk.
However, he didn’t know Otto was buying mini pumpkins. And so, brings in a large one, which is almost twice the size of the little gremlin.
Norman see’s it and... well...
Cut to gremlin Norman trying and failing hard at trying to fit a pumpkin twice the size of him in his mouth.
Otto’s dragging a hand down his face.
Peter’s laughing and recording.
Octogoblin Gremlin AU Pt. 4!
Pt. 4, here we go! This is not the last part, the post after the next one should be though. Thanks again for all the good reviews! Let’s get riiiight into the Gremlin AU!
This one is definitely more angsty, especially near the end! Just a warning!
- Morning has broke and Peter is checking his phone while he and MJ have breakfast, noticing a text from Otto.
- “Can you swing by here as soon as you can? And, this might sound odd, can you pick up some baby clothes? I’ll explain everything later, just please hurry.”
- Peter quirks and eyebrow and shows MJ the text. She seems as confused as him and ask why Otto would need baby pajamas. Peter shrugs and gets ready to head out based on the urgency of the text.
- He kisses her goodbye and then leaves. He stops by a thrift shop and grabs a few baby pajamas, all purple. He then heads to a discreet ally and puts on his suit, swinging away with the bag webbed to his back.
- Getting to the penthouse is easy enough and Peter hops onto the porch, where the good doctor is waiting.
- Though his demeanor is reminding him of the Doc before his chip was fixed.
- He gives Otto the bag of clothes, the man thanks him and Peter ask why he needed the clothes.
- Otto opens his mouth, but then closes it as if he cannot find the right words, and then tells Peter to come in so he can show him.
- Peter is still very confused but doesn’t ask as he follows Otto to the living room.
- Upon entering, nothing seems to have changed, beside there being a pile of blankets on the couch, all bundled up in one place.
- Nothing happens for a few moments, just Otto glaring at the blankets and Peter standing next to him.
- Peter ask what it is, breaking the silence.
- And the blankets then move all of a sudden.
- Peter’s flinches a bit at the sudden movement, and then he looks to Otto, who then sighs.
- “Norman. Come out and show Peter what you’ve done to yourself.”
- Nothing happens for a moment, and then the blankets move again. They shuffle for a moment, and then two yellow eyes peek out from the pile.
- Peter’s eyes widen at the yellow eyes staring back at him.
- Otto doesn’t say anything and simply motions for the creature to come out more.
- Norman complies.
- Peter takes a step back as a literal gremlin pokes his head out of the blankets, big ears down and eyes full of shame.
- Otto then says to the still shocked Peter how he found him like this and then shows Peter the empty vial.
- He stares at it in shock, wondering why Norman would do this.
- Otto then goes onto explain that after Otto found Norman, he examined the leftover contents to the formula and found that Norman had substituted a majority of the original chemicals and even took some out entirely. Theorizing that new mixture, combined with the few chemicals he left in, somehow did this to him.
- As for why he did this, Otto has no idea either and can’t get an answer out of Norman either, on the count on how he can no longer form words.
- Doesn’t mean Otto is any less mad at him however.
- During this Norman has slunked back under the blankets.
- Peter ask if Otto knows a way to reverse this.
- Otto shakes his head.
- His best lead is to use the base of the goblin cure and see if that works or he needs to tamper with it.
- Peter then questions what the baby pajamas are for.
- Otto says there for Norman, as there’s no other clothes in the penthouse, and his new scaled body makes him become cold quiet easily.
- Peter ask if there’s anything he can do.
- Otto ask him if he can bring the formula for the antidote so Otto can hopefully fix this.
- Peter agrees, and then heads out and back to his place to grab the formula.
- After he leaves, Otto looks back down at the blanket mound concealing his transformed husband.
- Otto looks down and decides he’s too tired to continue on with the current situation and then heads to the kitchen to grab something to eat.
- Under the blankets, Norman is curled up as small as he can to help preserve as much body heat as he can. Hating the cold and how he could be so stupid and not do any proper testing and just rushing the formula.
- It’s dark under all the blankets yes, but Norman’s vison seemed to have improved, being able to make out the dark rather easily.
- He’s tried to tell Otto about what he did and what the original goal was, but all that comes out are just noises and no words.
- He wishes he can tell him he’s sorry.
- Norman peeks out and sees that Otto has placed the bag of clothes that Peter bought right next to his blanket pile It’s laying down so Norman can easily see the contents within,
- Purple pajamas?
- He reaches out, wincing at the cold air, and pulls the bag towards him, and reaches in and grabs a pair of sleeper pajamas.
- He knows they’re baby clothes, but also knows that nothing else will fit him and he’s too cold to honestly care what he wears at this point. But is thankful they’re blank purple pajamas.
- Otto is eating some cereal, reading a book to try and help calm his nerves.
- A small scratching noise causes him to look up, and then down.
- Norman’s out, and he’s wearing a plain purple sleeper pajama.
- Otto takes a quick note at how Norman’s hunched over slightly as he’s standing on two feet.
- And despite Otto’s anger, he knows Norman enough now to know that Norman isn’t enjoying this situation any more than he is.
- Although he did bring it onto himself.
- Otto get’s up and heads to the small creature.
- Upon getting close Norman lowers himself to the floor, ears down.
- Otto gently picks him up and brings him to the table. Placing him on top and using his actuators to grab another bowl from the cabinet.
- Norman looks almost confused at this. His ears perking up and twitching slightly.
- Otto doubts Norman had anything to eat before and after the transformation, and quickly makes him a bowl of cereal.
- Otto puts a spoon in, but then takes notice of how the spoon is about the same length of Norman’s arm.
- Norman hops over to the cereal and sniffs it a bit, it’s just some store brand sugary cereal, nothing spectacular.
- He grabs the spoon and...
- It’s a bit awkward to move it and eat. He moves his hand to hold the lowest part of the handle to make it less awkward and eating more easy.
- Otto’s starting to feel bad, but the anger has not subsided.
- After the cereal is messily finished, Otto grabs Norman a napkin and helps him clean off.
- Norman sits and let’s Otto clean him off, feeling messy and useless.
- After he’s cleaned, Otto helps Norman down and then heads into what was once an old guest room, which was now their lab.
- The whole time neither said anything.
- Norman watches while Otto leaves silently, his actuators not even looking at him.
- Norman stands there for a moment, not moving or blinking.
- He then slowly saunters towards his blanket nest, ears down and hands hung low.
- He crawls back into his blanket nest, and the gremlin then weeps.
- Mad at himself, and for breaking his promise to Otto.
Octogoblin Gremlin AU Pt.5
Part 5! Here we go! Not as much angst as in the last one, but I think some fluff will be appreciated!
- Otto has been setting up the chemical set to prepare for Peter bringing the formula.
- There are some un-used beakers that are quite dusty, and Otto doesn’t know what he needs or might need, so decides to clean everything off.
- He remembers there's some disinfectant wipes in the kitchen.
- He heads towards the kitchen, passing the living room.
- Then something catches his ear.
- It’s quiet, but audible.
- It sounds like hushed crying.
- Otto’s eyes move to observe the blanket mound on the couch. Norman’s not moving, but he can tell the crying’s coming from there.
- He pauses in his journey to the kitchen and takes a step towards the couch.
- He runs through his thoughts and emotions as he hears the small crying.
- Is he mad at Norman? Absolutely. But did Norman want this at all? No, he couldn’t have. But why he did this is still confusing Otto, why would Norman make another Goblin serum with edits? And keep it secret most of all. The current crying coming from his transformed husband is making his heart swelter in pity, wanting to comfort him. But his jumbled emotions are confusing him.
- What should he listen to? The anger in his head? or the sadness in his heart?
- Meanwhile, Norman has just been sobbing beneath the blankets. His husband is angry with him, he looks like a freak, and he broke his promise.
- Norman doesn’t think it can get any worse now.
- He yelps a bit as something grabs at the blankets above him.
- Otto’s face soon appears, looking down at Norman.
- Norman’s waiting for the yelling, something he deserves to hear, something that will make his new noise sensitive ears hurt.
- But no yelling comes.
- Otto looks... conflicted.
- The larger man is biting his lower lip, trying to make a decision about something.
- After a minute of thoughts running through Otto’s head, he sighs.
- “I’m still mad at you, Norman... but you can’t be anymore happy about this situation than me, right? You can’t talk like this, so I still have no idea what drove you to try and re-create the Goblin Serum... But I still love you, and I hate seeing you this miserable. I may forgive you now, but once your back to normal were going to have a talk.”
- And then reaches down and picks up Norman.
- The gremlin jumps as he is brought into the man’s arms. He is soon held against the man’s chest. But not in the restraining way he had been held earlier when he was panicking, but a soft yet firm grip to make sure he didn’t fall out of his arms.
- Otto is warm.
- Otto looks down and watches as Norman leans into his body for the warmth and softness.
- Otto can feel a bit of his stress melt away.
- He’s still mad, don’t get Otto wrong, but he deduced that he’s not going to get any answers out of Norman until they get him back to normal.
- So, he’ll drop his anger, for now.
- Otto, with his now tiny husband in hand, continues his journey for disinfectant wipes.
- Norman feels like he’s in nirvana, closing his eyes and leaning into his husband's chest.
- Otto’s so warm! He could classify as a radiator- no, maybe even a heating blanket!
- Norman nuzzles against husband, happy and purring, nothing felt be-
- Wait... what?
- Norman’s eyes shoot open as he hears himself... purring
- Norman’s mortified, even more so when he realized Otto noticed.
- As Otto grabs the wipes from the cabinet under the sink, he becomes acutely aware of something vibrating against his chest.
- He looks down and- oh, that’s coming from Norman.
- He looks absolutely embarrassed, as if he had spilled some sticky drink on one of his fancy suits.
- Otto, however, (though not saying it) thinks it’s adorable.
- He tells Norman it’s okay and they head back to the lab, disinfectant wipes and a purring gremlin in hand.
- They get back and Otto set’s Norman down on the floor so he can clean all the beakers.
- Norman’s disappointed at the loss of his Huband’s warmth, but he doesn’t find the cold slipping in so fast anymore.
- He attempts to walk around but finds his back doesn’t like him standing only on two feet.
- Norman begrudgingly listens to his body and hops around on all fours, finding his movement similar to a cat.
- Like the rest of the house, everything looks enormous from his new point of view.
- His exploration is cut short however, as sleepiness overcomes him. The panicking from earlier combined with the sobbing completely draining his energy.
- As Otto starts to wrap up finishing the cleaning, he feels a tugging at his pants.
- It’s Norman, who then raises his arms in a gesture to pick him up.
- Otto sighs, and then picks him up, placing the gremlin on his lap.
- Norman starts to purr again as he settles himself on Otto’s lap.
- The older scientist chuckles, and then continues cleaning out the beakers, now having to use his actuators to reach them because he is now ‘trapped’.
Petey: Hey who wants to play two truths and a lie?
Peter: Ooo I'll go first. Uh... I'm the youngest Parker variant, my eyes are blue... Uh oh and a huge building once fell on top of me almost killing me.
Otto: *Reading notes chuckling* Yeah, dear boy nice try but it needs to be a bit more complicated than that.
Norman: *looking at Peter, concerned*... Honey, *turns to Otto*... His eyes are brown.
Otto: *Looks slowly from Norman to Peter, worry forming on his face*
Otto: *Snatched Peter by the shoulders with his actuators pulling him close in fear* A BUILDING WHAT-?!!
