(Thanks for sending this in!! This one was rlly cute, so I had a really fun time writing it!! you weren’t too specific, so i just kind of went with the flow lol (this also takes a little inspo from some of my personal experiences, but i hope you enjoy it nonetheless!) ~)

✿Cove and MC's first date headcanons ✿

Okay lemme just say

This boy is NERVOUS AS HELL when you decide to make it an official date instead of just hanging out.

But the day leading up to the date - he is a giddy, smiley mess. He is so so so excited.

No matter what you guys are actually doing for the date, he goes ABOVE AND BEYOND to prepare (tbh he would prob go above and beyond for every date you would go on, but more so for your first date)

He makes an effort to dress a little nicer than usual (but not like super formal like the soiree or the charity event), makes sure he’s all freshened up, maybe even wears a little cologne, and even makes sure there isn’t any sand or anything on him (even tho there probably still is)

He shows up at your door (or probably your window) and oh my god, that man looks STUNNING.

He probably also even brings you a little gift like flowers or something cute like that. This boy is very thoughtful.

Okay now onto the date itself.

I feel like you guys would do something different than what you normally do together when you're hanging out. So not hanging out at the hill or the beach or anything.

I feel like for your first date you would do something pretty classic tho like going out for dinner or seeing a movie together.

Cove definitely offers to pay for both (whether you let him or not is up to you lmao)

He probably also buys you a little something like he did when you were kids too.

Throughout the whole date, he has his classic little wobbly smile on his face. He’s shaking a little, but you can tell he’s genuinely really happy

He’s probably still processing the fact that you’re on a proper date with him LMAO

He keeps glancing at your hands, and then back at his.

‘Wow, MC looks really nice. i really wanna kiss them. Is it too early for that? It’s only our first date. How do i know if they’re comfortable or if they WANT to kiss? C’mon cove you should ask them. Wait *should* I ask them? Would that be weird? Hhhhhh”

If you don’t make a move, he would probably chicken out and not kiss you cuz he's scared its not gonna be good or you wont like it

But if you DO make the first move and kiss HIM first…

After the two of you part ways for the night and return to your respective homes, cove is still a giddy, smiling, happy mess.

Without even getting changed, he flops onto his bed, and just kinda melts.

This boy is smiling into his pillow, just absolutely bursting with pure joy and happiness. He literally loves you SO damn much. Probably more than you could ever imagine

But he eventually does get changed properly. He doesn't just go to bed in the clothes he wore out on ur date lol.

As soon as you get home, there’s no escape from the ruthless teasing from both Liz AND the moms.

They’ll leave you alone after you go up to your room tho, don’t worry

Overall, both you and cove had a really good time on your first date! Definitely a day the two of you will remember :>

Miranda asks terry for his opinions when she’s choosing her outfit for the day (terry always thinks she looks beautiful ofc)

Before they started officially dating, everyone knew that they had feelings for eachother. It was very blatantly obvious.

I think that they’re both pretty alright at cooking, but Miranda is slightly better at it. But they like to cook together.

They enjoy sharing their music tastes with each other and even go to concerts together.

Miranda likes to sing in the kitchen, and sometimes Terry will randomly join/harmonise with her

And while we’re on this topic, Terry is very good at singing.

The two of them go on lots of movie dates.

The kids at Miranda’s work ask her about Terry sometimes (since she’s a teaching assistant from what i can remember)

She gets all happy when they ask cuz she loves talking about him

Terry has younger cousins and family members and he tells them about miranda.

She gets kinda embarrassed and bashful over all the attention, but she still enjoys it.

✿ Married/Husband Cove headcanons ✿

(I played the wedding dlc recently and uhhh. This idea has been. Occupying my silly little brain. So yeah. I hope you guys enjoy it lmao)

This man literally LOVES just being able to wake up with you next to him.

Sometimes you wake up and just see him smiling at you adoringly

He’s probably just thinking “wow, I love my spouse” “They are so perfect and wonderful.” “I must be the luckiest guy in the entire world”

And if he’s not next to you, he’s probably in the kitchen making you breakfast or coffee

He fidgets with his ring when he’s thinking about something

He gets SO excited and happy when he tells people that you’re married

Sometimes when you get home from work or whatever he just prepares a sweet romantic little surprise like a nice dinner or movie or gift or something.

It doesn’t even need to be a special occasion or anything, he just wanted to make sure you know how much he loves and adores you, (as if he doesn’t just literally tell you all the time. Like, every single chance he gets.)

But when it IS a special occasion like ur anniversary or something like that.

I think I mentioned this in a previous post, but he goes ABOVE AND BEYOND lemme tell you.

Like, gifts, dinner, flowers, all that jazz.

He definitely gets some of your wedding pictures and even some pics of you two from when you were growing up printed and hung up somewhere.

He never ever forgets to say goodbye and give you a lil kiss before you leave for work (or before he leaves depending on who leaves first)

He does the same when you get home.

If he’s tired and stuff from work, just seeing you and kissing you will just instantly make things better and gives him energy (kind of like how kissing ur spouse in stardew valley will get rid of exhaustion lol)

If you’re at home working on things, he’ll check up on you from time to time and make sure you’re taking breaks and stuff. He sometimes brings you stuff like snacks, coffee, water, etc. regardless if you ask him to or not.

If you want him to keep you company and just kinda be there, he 100% will.

At the end of the day when it’s time to go to bed, sometimes he does the thing where he picks you up and carries you to the bed. (he also may or may not do the thing where he flops onto the bed with you like he does in step 4)

Overall, cove is just. #1 husband.

do you have any predictions for how the derek and baxter dlcs will be? like how the relationship will develop and events that will take place? i really like your headcanons and would love to hear your opinion :)

honestly I don't have that many predictions since idrk what to expect but ik that structurally, it'll be similar to cove's moments/the base game as in that it'll be comprised of a moments that you can select from. I think that the contents of the moments are probably gonna be different than cove's tho. I feel like for both baxter and derek's dlcs, you'll probably be going out of sunset bird more (for example for derek's you could go over to his place or his neighbourhood, and with baxter he might take you different places since he would have the money to.) I think the dynamic might be kinda different than w cove since with cove you would have known and been around him longer than the other two, if that makes sense

cove will always be #1 in my heart, but im also looking forward to derek and baxter's dlcs!!!!!

hihi i've been pretty much MIA for uh... 9 months :3 sowwies (ew). but uhh yeah this whole year i've been in my getting mentally destroyed era its been one hit after the other fr SO i wanted to attempt to start writing 4 you guys again nd i thought this would be pretty easy because my thoughts don't have to be THAT coherent :3 also this alphabet is specifically for like,, steps 3-4 Cove:)

A - Affection (how affectionate are they?): Oh brother. Oh man. is it possible to be hyper-fixated on a person?? Cove wonders that 10x a day and he thinks the answer is yes. If you're in the room, he's attached to your hip. Always touching you somehow, especially after you two get even more comfortable with each other. Holding your arms or hands, laying on your chest, or just sitting as close as he can to you. clingy ass mf. which doesn't mean he's completely dependent on you btw!!! he's his own person 🙄

B - Best Friend (what are they like as a best friend?): BANTER!!!! so much friendly banter and teasing and bullying. constant hangouts and so many outings. you're like a 2nd Holden child god bless 🙏 you guys go to every school dance together as friends:3 type of friendship where everyone either thinks you hate each other or thinks you're dating. no in between btw. cares about you so very much and supports alllll of your endeavors.

C - Cuddles (how do they like to cuddle?): ANY way. his head on your chest is his favorite though, or vice versa. also loves to lay facing you, he loves your face. loves how warm and safe you make him feel (he's just a baby btw. so. 🙄.) also play with his hair!!! he loves it:3 you're so gentle with him and it makes him happy.

D - Domestic (settling down? how will they be helping out around?): um yes wants to marry you so bad??? tbh even of you're just friends you two probably have one of those "if we're both single by 40 we'll marry each other" pacts. and i hate to say this but you will have to teach him how to clean things well ("wdym we need to clean the lint trap??") there was sand in his room man come on. he tries his absolute hardest though and basic things like laundry and dishes are always done (when he remembers to do them)

E - Ending (how do breakups work?): um is breaking up with him even an option?? no its not btw. but HYPOTHETICALLY there would be lots and lots of hypothetical tears. absolutely inconsolable on both parts. genuinely doesn't think he'll ever be okay again.

F - Fiancé (how do they feel about commitment?): from the minute he learned you liked him back he knew he wanted to marry you, if it was something you wanted. and he was committed to you even before then. btw. if you even care.

G - Gentle (how gentle are they?): gentle giant *loud incorrect buzzer and i get booed off stage* ok but. for realies. he's just a big baby. would not hurt a fly and especially wouldnt hurt you. gentlest fella ever but he IS clumsy so every breakable item in your house shudders when he walks into the room distracted. probably has accidentally headbutted you once or twice and PROFUSELY apologized.

H - Hugs (do they like hugs?): he thought he hated hugs his entire life (autistic 🫵) until he hugged you *careless whisper plays and rose petals blow across your vision* ok but fr thats true!!! youre so soft and you make him so happy. "can i have a hug? please??" 100x a day.

I - I Love You (how long does it take them to say it?): bro said "i love you" while confessing his feelings and after you said it back it was OVER for him he says it every few minutes atp. "hi i love you" "stop texting me 😐"

J - Jealous (how do they get jealous): does NOT get jealous easily at all (even though it would be cute if he did) because he knows you love him 100% :3. when he does get jealous, which isn't often, its not the angry, "i'll kill anyone who looks at you" jealous, its more like the insecure "what am i doing wrong??? do they still like me?? did i do something??" kind

K - Kisses ( whats their kissing schedule?): every four seconds. barely an exaggeration btw. but fr theres the standard good morning and goodnight kisses (which are about three each). but other than that its just whenever he feels like it. ofc never in front of people though unless its a quick peck on the cheek 🙏. loves kissing your hands because he is a gentleman. duh.

L - Little Ones (how are they around kids?): AWKWARD!!!! *spongebob foghorn sound*. thinks hes AWFUL with kids but they love him because he has cool eyebrows and green hair??? thats awesome he's basically the Coolest Guy Ever. if he sees a lonely little kid that reminds him of himself he WILL feel sad and "not know why" thank you

M - Mornings (how will mornings go?): LAZY!! so lazy and cuddly and so many sleepy kisses because he loves you. he is extra affectionate when he's tired/when he's just woken up. will occasionally wake up and make your favorite foods for breakfast just because

N - Nights (how will nights go?): oh brother this is about as domestic and sappy as it gets. cove LOVES nights with you, especially after you two move in together. he LOVES settling down for bed with you and watching movies or playing games together, cooking together and then going to sleep and waking up together. he loves it all. bedtime is his favorite time of the day because he gets to hold you and just talk to you. a million "bedtime yet??" texts as soon as it gets past 8pm

O - Open (when will they tell you about themself?): honestly if you ask something he'll answer it as honestly as he can (even if its embarrassing as we saw in step 2) but he knows you'll love him no matter what so why should he be anything but entirely open and honest with you?? very anti-secret unless its a secret the two of you have together

P - Patience (how patient are they with you?): in general cove isnt very patient but he's been working on it!!! HOWEVER. has the patience of a saint when it comes to you. you could destroy his home and ravage his crops and he'd just go "aw man :(" because it's YOU!!!

Q - Quizzes (how much do they remember about you): ok so part of it is autism and part of it is because he's so madly in love. he remembers virtually everything, your favorite outfit, your favorite place to go, your favorite color or food or animal. it's wonderful because he'll randomly show up like "i remembered you said you like ____ so i got you some :3"

R - Remember (what is their favorite moment in your relationship?): every moment you two have had together on the poppy hill, especially the night you were there together before everything changed and everyone went separate ways.

S - Security (how protective are they of you?): very, but he keeps it under wraps. he knows you can take care of yourself but why should you have to do anything yourself when he's there?? he enjoys it when you're protective of him, too.

T - Try (how much effort do they put in for dates? special occasions?): The Most Effort Ever 🔥🔥🔥 loves you so much and wants everything he does to reflect that. if you like flowers you get them for every occasion and sometimes just because he saw some on the side of the road that he'd thought you'd like. not a very elaborate planner but you can see he puts so much thought into everything the two of you do together.

U - Ugly (what is a bad habit of theirs?): we know this already but he often involves himself too much in people's disagreements or arguments. i also feel like he's the type to say "are you made at me" 100 times if you're upset about something he doesn't know about. (and then not believe you when you say no btw)

V - Vanity (how insecure are they?): honestly, he's never given a lot of thought towards how he looks. sometimes when he was younger he'd wish he had "normal" eyebrows and a "normal" hair color, but it's nothing he can really permanently change so why should he dwell on it?? you like the way he looks so everything is fine with him.

W - Whole (would they feel incomplete without you?): absolutely. even as friends, you seem to be his other half and says that meeting you is his greatest achievement.

X - Xtra (random headcanon about them): "forgets" to bring his water bottle from home and drinks from yours all day. always refills it when he eventually drinks it all though we love a considerate king

Y - Yuck (what are some things they dislike): people who are too forward right off the bat (baxter), also mean ugly little preteens that are debbie downers smfh

Z - Zzz (what are their sleep habits): HEAVY sleeper sorry guys. also clearly doesn't stick to a very strict sleep schedule. always somehow wakes up before you though. you wake up to a "Good Morning!!! 😊😊😊🥰🥰😘😘💞💞💓💞💝" text sent at like 7am. what does he even do when you're not awake he must be so bored without the love of his life

So... *leans against this post* I got invested into this idea and the discord server I'm in didn't help and grew it into an entire au, so now you guys get Our Life x Avatar headcanons made by the server :)

Cove would 100% be a water bender. However, he'd get his bending from Kyra instead of Cliff. Cove used to learn water bending from his mom, but when Kyra and Cliff got divorced, Cove didn't have anyone to teach him water bending anymore (since I see Cliff as a non bender in this au).

Derek is an earth bender. If his siblings are also earth benders, (or benders in general) I can see him being the one to try and keep everything in order and not chaotic. If they aren't benders, then I feel like Derek would be relied on a lot.

Now Baxter? he wouldn't be a bender. His family probably came from a lineage of benders and when Baxter turned out as a non bender, his parents would push him to be better in other things, but would always be disappointed that he wasn't a bender.

Baxter being a non-bender would make his feelings of inadequacy worse. He would have to find ways to stand out in a world where people can bend things like fire and water and move the ground.

Qiu would be a fire bender and would amazing at it. In step 1, they'd use his bending to impress people and their popularity would probably be bigger since he can bend almost flawlessly.

In step 2, Qiu wouldn't use their bending in public anymore and would only use it around the people he's close with.

Tamarack would be an earth bender, but she wouldn't be good at it. She wouldn't put too much time in training and wouldn't want to since she thinks earth bending would destroy the forest.

In step 2, Tamarack would try to practice her earth bending due to her being insecure that she can't bend too well, but she struggles with it.

Renee would be a fire bender, which helped her friendship with Qiu in their childhood. While she wouldn't be as good at it than Qiu is, she can manage it well

Liz would be a fire bender. Pamela would be a fire bender and Noelani would be a water bender. I can see Pamela and Noelani adopting Liz and a MC that they could teach bending to if they were benders.

As for Lee, she would be an Airbender.

Terry would be a water bender while Miranda is a Airbender.

Xavier would be a non-bender and it's one of the things that helped them and Baxter get along.

Now, if either MC is the avatar...

Cove would be surprised when you first meet, but he gets over it pretty quickly. He'd be glad that there's someone else who can waterbend with him.

When Derek meets an Avatar!MC, he would be shocked and it'd take a while for Derek to see it as normal.

An Avatar!MC would make Derek be harder on himself and push his earthbending abilities to be a suitable partner for the avatar.

Baxter's problem with seeing value in himself and feeling like he's not good enough to be with the MC would be doubled if he's with an Avatar!MC. 

When first meeting Avatar!MC Baxter would freak out internally but keep a cool front

If Baxter is with an Avatar!MC, his parents would see it as an opportunity for better connections and Baxter would hate that because he doesn't want his relationship with the MC to just be something to satisfy his parents.

When Qiu meets an Avatar!MC they would be surprised at first but would take it in a stride and proudly talk about being friends with the Avatar to anyone that will listen

If asked, Qiu would be happy to help MC with fire bending (they get even more giddy if they’re at crush with the MC)

Tamarack would be in awe that they're the avatar because they can control all four of the elements rather than the social status and influence that comes with being the avatar

Noelani and Pamela would go into shock because they adopted a child that's the avatar, but would try their best to help an avatar!mc learn the elements

It was an average day in Sunset Bird- well that's what it seemed like to Cove as he helped the ORCA clean up the remenants of a party that happened last night on the shore line. Despite Cove loving the summer, after all school was offically out and he could go surfing if he pleased- but the part he disliked severely was the vacationers who come here just for the summer and leaving their mess everywhere only for it to be swept into the sea.

The seafoam haired boy was lost in his thoughts, silently cursing the ones who left such a mess behind before his focus was broken by a voice behind him, making him jump slightly.

"Excuse me, but- may I ask you a question really quick?" He turned around to see a boy behind him with white and black hair, a hand in his pocket and his phone in the other- wearing a half black and half white button down shirt. Cove rose to his feet, not bothering to wipe the sand from his shins and knees- unbothered by the texture. "What can I do for you?" Now don't get me wrong- Cove was not a people person, but he wouldn't allow himself to tarnish the ORCA name by showing his frustrations to someone who was obviously one of the previously mentioned vacationers. "Sorry to interupt your work, but I'm looking for my friend- their name is MC and they said they'd be helping the ORCA today. I have a picture of them if that'd help." The black and white boy turned his phone around, showing Cove a photo of two people. One was a person in a white sweater with gray-blue acents, they had long brunette hair and a grin plastered onto their face as their arm was loosely wrapped around the other person in the picture. The first was unfamiliar, but the second person- who was adorned in a slightly larger, heavy dull green puffer jacket with fur lining, also grinning brightly with a peace sign up- was definetely familiar. "Their name is MC, they volunteered with your group for this summer." The boy provided a bit more insight after getting no reply from Cove as he analyzed the image. "Yeah- I recognize them. They were stationed here with me for a bit, but went to get waters for us." He explained before- as if being summoned, MC came jogging down the shore with a small cooler and more garbage bags. "Mr. Holden! I'm back! Sorry that look so long!" they shouted a bit, catching the attention of both boys- that's when they noticed the black and white boy with their teammate. "Oh! Baxter! Hey!" their voice slowly quieted down as they neared the two, slightly panting from the mix of jogging and the heat they were definetely not used to- it was much cooler in Golden Grove, even in the summer months. "There you are, I came to check how things were going and met your team mate- I am so sorry I never got your name...and I never told you mine. How rude of me. I'm Baxter Ward, it's a pleasure to meet you-" He introduced himself, leaving the last sentence to be contiued by the blue eyed boy. "Oh uh- Cove Holden. Also- MC I told you before, Mr. Holden is too formal. Just use my name, please." He said, taking the cooler from MC and checking it's contents- seeing multiple waters and cut fruits.

"Oh- uh, somebody named Jamie dropped by the ORCA headquarters and left the fruit for you. I brought it with since there's still work to do and I heard you mumbling about being hungry before I left, hope that was okay?" They explained, causing a light blush to spread across Cove's cheeks- slightly embarrassed to be called out for his muttering, how much had they overheard? "Thanks, uhm- sorry." His slight embarassment contiued, growing slightly when the two tourists chuckled a bit. "Don't apologize, seriously. We've been out here since ten cleaning up after these people- it's completely valid to be hungry after four hours of work." MC offered him a smile. "Anyways- now that I'm here, if you'd like I can help out? Make this go faster?" Baxter offered, slipping his phone into his beach short pocket. "I'd be alright with it, but Cove- is it fine if he helps out? Just for right now." They ask to which he nodded, he was not going to turn down an offer to help. "Sure, not like an extra hand could hurt any. Plus, the sooner we get this done the sooner we can return to HQ." He was quick to drop down to the ground again, picking up trash once more- this time being joined by two others. "So- not a fan of summer tourists huh?" MC said with a smirk, not looking away from the ground as they clean. Baxter gasped in mock offence, playing along. "Oh goodness! We barely know each other and you already dislike me Cove?! Oh woe is me!" he said over dramatically, obviously acting, making both MC and Cove laugh. "It's not that, I'm just- annoyed at the ones who think they can leave all this trash around as if it isn't doing any harm. The ORCA is one of the few clean the beach programs in Sunset Bird, so it sucks that the work load practically triples in the summer when we all could be doing something starting a fundraiser or enjoying the beach properly." He rambled a bit once the laughter died down, the look in his eye showed how passionate he was about the ORCA's mission. "Y'know- you remind me of one of our friends from Golden Grove. She's just like you about keeping her forest clean, it's how she earned the title Queen of the Forest." MC explained with a light chuckle, smiling at the two boys who kept cleaning but were listening intently. "You make her sound so peaceful MC, Tamarack gets super protective over you- it's scary!" Baxter quipped back, chuckling a bit. "She isn't scary, try angering Autumn back in middle school! They're the one who gets scary when being protective!" MC stated back before looking to Cove with a smile. "Sorry, Autumn is another one of our friends-" they had started before Baxter cut them off "You mean your partner~?" he teased, making MC flush pink. "Baxter! We're not together!" they sputtered out quickly before clearing their throat to contiue. "He's another one of our friends, from Golden Grove. We all grew up together, similar to you and Jamie I assume?" they offer him an easy in to the conversation. "Oh- yeah. Me and Jamie met when I first moved here, they were the first friend I made here in Sunset Bird." He replied with a thankful smile, before the conversation continued peacefully as the three cleaned. Chatting about how they met their friends, memories, and getting to know each other as the day passes slowly. Although it'd be temporary for one of them- this was the start of a beautiful summer blossom friendship.

Sunset Bird was known to have many tourists during the summer due to it's beautiful beaches, scenary and the temporary lavish lifestyles everyone wants to have at least once in there lifes- living in a villa on the coast side is the American dream after all. However for some- that very dream was a reality. This was true for two specific families- the Last family and the Holden family. Sure one was more recent then the other- but that doesn't mean the kids who grew up side by side cared about that symantic.

Everyone knew who MC Last and Cove Holden were- the two love struck kids who have grown up closer than most, the two kids who were now 18 and openly in a relationship with each other. The two were made for each other, people would say- they technically aren't wrong. But every relationship has it's ups and downs, especially at this moment.

This was the third time Cove had gotten upset this summer, the third time he was upset at MC- his girlfriend. He had caught them hanging out with Baxter, alone. He was jealous, of course he was. His girlfriend. Alone. With a flirt. The thought upset him, especially since they were alone on the beach- no sign of anyone else around. Sure it was common for that side of the beach to be relatively empty since it was so close to the residental area, but still- the two should've broughten someone else with them.

"Cove I swear we weren't doing anything! We literally just ran into each other on the beach and chose to hang out, it wasn't planned! I would've invited you to go with me, but you were busy today with your dad's shop!" MC defended herself, but Cove wasn't listening- not properly anyways. "So? You could've brought Lee or any of our friends with you! You have to understand what it looks like to see your girlfriend with another guy, alone!" He replied without thinking, silently accusing her of cheating- his own insecurities blinding him.

"Are you serious right now Cove?" MC started, visibly hurt by the accusation. "I'd never do that in a thousand years, you should know that by now! I'm allowed to have other friends and I don't feel that way towards him! We just met him not even a month ago Cove! You remember how long it took me to fall for you? Years Cove. Years. Not a couple of days. And it hurts that you think I'd let someone I barely know take me away from you." she said, tears in the edges of their eyes. She was on the brink of crying- and that's when he realized just how stupid he was being.

"I-" he started, before being cut off by the girl in front of him. "No. Stop. Just. Leave me alone. I need some space." she said before walking away- going home, leaving the boy standing on his own outside of his doorway. As her front door closed across the street everything just clicked in his head- he had completely let it slip from his thoughts, MC is something called demiromantic. Aka a person who doesn't feel romantic attraction quickly, a person who needs a genuine connection to be able to feel romantic love towards another person. He screwed up, and he knew it.

Dejectedly, he turned to go inside- where he'd reflect on the big mistake he just made, trying to figure out how he could apologize to MC and how to make it up to her.

I went up to my room, shutting the door quietly- sliding my back down against it until I was sitting on the floor as tears slowly escaped my eyes. I love him, of course I do- but sometimes...sometimes he says the wrong things. Quietly I cried for- I don't know how long, before being interupted by a few sets of gentle knocks. The pattern was Lee's. "Lee? How was the mall with Liz?" I said, getting up slowly- trying to make it less obvious I had just been crying.

"MC...let me in please." she said softly, obviously she knew I was crying- why wouldn't she? We've been best friends since she was born. Shamefully I opened the door, just enough for her to enter the room before closing it behind her. Lee looked at me with sympathy, sitting on my bed before opening her arms and offering me a small smile. Quickly I rushed to hug her tightly, knocking us both over- her back to the bed as she played with my hair carefully.

"What happened? Why are you crying?" she asked, her voice softer then the white poppies outside on the hill. She always knew when I needed her, I don't know how- but she always does. Just like a moment earlier this summer when I found out about my parents- about their accident. "Me and Cove faught. Again. He thought I was cheating on him with Baxter." I explained quietly into her shoulder- tears rolling down my cheeks slowly.

She gasped softly, her hand haulting it's movements through my hair. "Aren't you demiromantic? He knows that right?" she asked before her hand contiued to move through my hair, slowly detangling the hairs. I nodded into her shoulder, hugging her just slightly tighter- not wanting to hurt the shorter girl. "He loves you y'know that right? Cove is- he just gets lost in his emotions sometimes. Like the times he tried running away from home, trying to get back to his mom." she says, making me laugh lightly. Remembering the first time we met, and then that very same summer trying to run away with him- getting caught at the Sunset Bird sign.

"I know, but that doesn't stop the hurt y'know? I love him with my whole heart, hell I've been thinking about proposing to him now that we've graduated- but it's times like this that make it difficult." I explained, slowly moving to let her go- wiping my eyes as we both sat up. "Y'know- maybe you two need something like that. Like a promise ring or something. A cerficiation that the love you share is endless, something physical you both can look at when having doubts or far away from each other." My cousin smartly suggested, my eyes widened and I grinned- the idea becoming something increditably pleasing to me. "Y'know what? Let's go talk to Ma about going back to the mail really quick, she'll most likely want to come with- but that promise ring thing is very tempting."

Lee grinned and stood up, dragging me up as well with an enthusiastic nod. "I'll go ask her, you clean yourself up!" she said before rushing out of the room- excited to be going back to the mall. I smile softly before going to my mirror to make myself look I hadn't just been crying- so I don't raise any concern from Ma or Liz.

Once I was ready I went down stairs, seeing Lee and Ma sitting at the bar counter chatting- waiting for me. "Alright let's go."

I stood at the poppy hill, looking down at my phone- I had just sent a text to Cove to meet me here. My leg was shaking due to nerves, which only elevated when I heard his heavy, rushed footsteps approaching the tree I stood behind. I put away my phone before revealing myself- I was more dressed up than before- this moment was important. But I froze when I saw Cove standing there wearing a dress shirt- holding a bouquet of my favorite flowers. He blushed brightly, seeing we both had dressed up for this.

"MC. Before you say anything I just want to say I am so sorry for accussing you of something so stupid earlier. I know you love me, and I love you just as much- but what I said was super uncalled for. I hope you can take these flowers and forgive me." He said, holding the flowers out to me- to which I took delicately, a blush blooming across my cheeks. "Cove- my sweet boy. I'm not mad at you, I know you can get lost in your emotions- just as I can. We're all human, we make mistakes. I forgive you, but please- hold onto these for a second alright?" I said, handing him back the flowers- pulling out an easily hidden box from my pocket.

"I spoke with Lee earlier, she gave me a really good idea." I started, him looking at me confusedly- tilting his head to the side a bit. I put the box in his line of sight, holding up- between the two of us, making him gasp. "This isn't a proposal, but a promise. A promise to love you to the ends of the Earth. A promise to never let something pull me from you. A promise between us that we will communicate better with each other. And a promise that I will someday marry you." I say slowly, tears bulbing in the corners of his eyes as he brought a hand to his mouth- covering his grin.

"Will you make this promise with me?" I finish, opening the box to reveal two necklaces. One had a white poppy charm and the other had my favorite flower charm- it was expensive, but worth it. He stood there shocked, but I waited patiently for him- like I always have. "Yes." he said quietly, nodding slowly- tears slipping from his eyes. In the distance I hear several people whoop and cheer, looking towards my house I see both mine and Cove's families there- watching us like a telenovela.

Cove put down the flowers and grabbed my hands shakily- closing the box for the mean time. He grinned shakily, it was obvious what he wanted at this moment, and I happily gave it to him. I pulled him closer and kissed him softly, pulling apart slowly and putting our noses together. "I love you MC. So much." he muttered. "I love you too Cove. Forever and always." I say quietly, not parting from the current closeness between us- enjoying the gentle and love filled embrace.

Hello! Hows it goin? Do you have any college headcanons for Cove and MC (from Our Life: B&A) because I would think they would've attended college at the same location if they could knowing how connected at the hip they always are.

Okay- hear me out. Cove? He doesn't seem the type to go to college. BEFORE YOU LEAVE- LET ME EXPLAIN!

Cove is the type who'd sneak onto campus to see you if you live there, but he's already got his life ahead of him- with his work with ORCA, helping his dad at the shop, going to see his mom frequently, ectara.

"Why would I want to do more school?" Is the vibe I get from him, but like I said before- he's the kind that'd sneak onto campus with flowers and your favorite snacks just to see you.

His constant need to be beside you results in you both falling asleep on call, or him driving out to see you and being walked in on while cuddling (or more-) by your dormmate.

Might do a college AU one-shot if someone asks for it, cause like- imagine a super overworked MC calling Cove and him rushing to your side. (Pardon the hopeless romantic in me is swooning.)

MC: You weren't there. You didn't hear what he said to me.

Okay- thank you for asking. I've been dying to ramble a bit about them for awhile.

So- I've only drawn out my OL2 oc once (a second is in the works). But their name is Atlas Emerson. My OL1 OC's name is Zenith Collins.

Zenith Info:

They were born female and used (she/her) in step 1, (all pronouns) in step 2, and then decided on (they/them, masc leaning) in step 3. They came out as genderfluid openly in step 3, but also declared a preference for words like 'sir' instead of 'ma'am'. They're average height and weight most of their life, but started gaining slight muscle definition in step 2 & 3. By the end of step 3, they were toned but not as much as Cove was. (They use a chest binder and sports bras, but they got their uterus removed for medical reasons.)

They've got hazel-green eyes and dirty blonde hair, which over time changed to be more of a brunette color in the future (after which they dyed the front half black, and got a matching nose piercing with Noelani).

Zenith's original name was Astra, something Pamela picked out during the adoption process. Noelani helped them pick out Zenith later on when they didn't feel connected to the name anymore. They've always been ever so slightly closer with Noelani then Pam, which was due to her more relaxed nature while Pam was far more protective which was slightly overwhelming for them.

When Z met Cove the first thing they noticed was how soft his hair looked, as they sat next to him and called him 'space cadet'. Their interest in space was obvious as their denium jacket had embroidered constellations on the back and space themed patches and pins on the front and arms. Eventually when Cliff and their moms were heard in the distance they didn't say anything, just gave him their jacket with a gentle smile before calling out for the adults. If they hadn't of heard Noelani's worry through her voice they wouldn't have said a single thing, knowing what it was like to be overwhelmed by a new situation.

Step 1 was purely childhood friendship, but step 2 they developed a crush on Cove. They damn near slapped the shit outta Jermey for calling Cove's eyebrows weird that one time, and at the party? Ohhh they wanted to make him eat some serious dirt. Their relationship with Derek was slightly strained by his feelings for them, an awkward tension obvious between them.

Oml- the family trip. Snuggling together in the overhead loft, it was their first time being the one to engage in excessive physical contact with Cove. The shockwaves that went through their touch starved form, they don't like being touched often, when he held them close only secured their feelings even more. Finding out about the anklet thing and immediately ordering some to the house for when they got back. Subtly saying that they really liked his hair, how it'd look good long and admitting his scar was another thing they enjoyed about him.

The kiss after Step 2 caused a chain reaction between the two, both flustered messes- too embarrassed to talk to each other alone for about a week.

They got together finally in Step 3 (Cove asked), and Zenith started surfing again (a hobby they dropped so Cove from step 1 wouldn't be left out). They ate shit a few times near coral reefs, gaining small scars litering their arms, legs, and sides. Step 3 patreon bonus moment happened, but it was only that once. They both decided it wasn't a necessary thing for their relationship, but knew they could talk to each other if either of them needed it.

Zenith chose to do online university to stay close- double majoring in writing, and astrology as they worked for Noelani's boutique- helping her expand her horizons into gender neutral formal wear.

Step 4 Zenith proposes to Cove, by the tree surrounded by white poppies. Wedding was held in large white poppy field, after party was held in the aquarium. Honeymoon was booked to take place in Greenland- at the blue lagoon.

Atlas Info:

Once again they were born female and used she/her pronouns until step 2 which they changed it to they/them and came out at nonbinary. They're a tall, slender, kid and remain tall their entire life- despite developing curves due to their originally assigned gender. (They get a top reduction by step 3 and a chosen uterus removal by step 4. Periods suck.)

Their eyes are two slightly different shades of blue and blue-gray, it's almost unnoticeable. BUT their hair is their most defining feature. The front half is a darker cranberry then their moms, while the back half is a golden-brown which they got from the donor their mom got. The donor had green eyes- but the blue came from his side of the family as well.

Before moving to Golden Grove (GG), them and their momma lived in a crowded city- similar to New York. Traffic was hectic, nights were loud, stars impossible to see, yada yada.

About a year and a half (they were 9) before they moved to GG they got pulled into an alley way and mugged at knife point while headed to school. It's how they got their scar on their neck, which they keep covered with turtle necks, scarfs, and band-aids.

When Opal found out about the incident she became overprotective and determined to find a job or promotion to get out of the city, til that happened she insisted that she accompanied Atlas to and from school daily.

After to moving to the small town of Golden Grove, they meet Qiu first- feeling comforted by his soft and friendly demeanor, this led to them being fast friends. Bonding over their mutual love of writing, sketching, and playfully teasing their friends.

When they met Tamarack they were slightly freaked out, anxious after she jumped out from the leaf piles- but slowly calmed down when they realized she was just a tiny, happy-go-lucky kid. When discovering her innocent nature they quickly adapted to being very protective of her, willingly becoming the scary dog friend of the group.

During step 2 they are a comfort for their two friends, but also a sheild from them from everyone/everything else. If someone picks on Tamarack? They're getting their ass beat. Someone annoys Autumn just a bit too much? They'll have a word with said person, scare 'em off. However- because of them taking care of their friends more than themself they unintentionally cause internal damage to their mental health, especially with the unresolved trauma from before they moved here.

Step 3 is when the roles get reversed, "their candle has burnt out, and they need someone else to guide their way." During this step Tam and Aut convince them to start going to therapy, eventually getting diagnosed with ADHD, PTSD, Generalized Anxiety, and Bodily Dsymorphia. Another thing that happens because of going to therapy and talking with the two alot more without drama, they start to realize they've got feelings for them both and don't know what to do.

Sadly- that's about all I got rn for them since the game's not done yet, so their story may change once the game comes out.
