I think derek would have met cove before at the shop with his dad and cove would have talked about you a few times, so he would have known about your existence.
Because cove talks about you, derek would definitely want to meet you.
After you meet for the first time, you and derek get along well quickly since dereks just really nice and friendly
He might have felt a little weird at first since you and cove have known each other for longer and are closer, But the more you all hang out, the closer and more comfortable he gets.
After not too long, the 3 of you become almost inseparable. The best of buds
as teenagers, the three of you basically share a single brain cell lmao
out of the 3 of you, cove acts as somewhat of a voice of reason who tries to talk you out of bad ideas
…but most of the time he doesn’t do the best job and ends up joining you.
it’s ok. he tried his best.
I feel like you would tend to get into all kinds of trouble, yet somehow find a way to get yourself out of it (most of the time), most often by just straight up running.
But not BAD trouble, if that makes sense. Like getting yelled at by the mean old grandparents, or running off with the fruit bouquet thing lol
You and cove would go to derek’s sports games whenever you can, and he would come and see you at your things
On days where you cant go out (like if its too hot, or its raining), you’d spend them at either of your houses doing whatever
stuff like cards, video games, movies, whatever you feel like doing
Derek is good at video games (especially good at super smash bros and fighter games)
He also knows a lot of cool movies and likes showing them to you guys whenever you have the chance
Sometimes you even go to theatres together to catch movies that derek likes.
Cove beats both of you at cards almost every time (derek accuses him of cheating sometimes, but cove’s just really good from playing with his dad)
The parents honestly love it when you guys hang out. Mainly because they adore derek because of how sweet and polite he is lmao

He almost never gets tired at all bc of all the sports and physical activities he does

Honestly just likes doing it with her friends
She can probably get really into it if she wants to

Initially, she’d probably not get too into it
But if it was a song she liked, THEN she gets into it

He has a good sense of rhythm and movement bc of ballroom dancing
So he would be surprisingly decent at it
I think he would probably still fumble at times tho lol
I think people would be surprised that he’s not the best at it

Ok for starters, cliff and kyra were on good terms after the divorce and didn’t rlly hate each other, but I think that's canon.
They both just kinda mutually agreed that it was for the better

I think cliff is probably into old school nintendo games like super mario bros
Sometimes he would ask cove to play with him, but most of the time he didnt want to :(
I can picture both of them liking 80’s music in general
Cliff also likes listening to classic rock music like Nirvana and Guns n’ roses.
He probably owns physical copies of music, (probably CDs or cassettes. I can't really picture him as a vinyl guy)
Kyra probably likes ABBA, Queen, and Glam Rock music in general. I can also picture her liking indie music. (cove’s friends probably end up getting her into taylor swift too)
Both of them like playing/listening to music around their place when they’re doing stuff.
Cliff dances/sings when he’s vacuuming/cleaning
Kyra doesn’t really dance or sing like cliff does, but she hums and quietly sings to herself
Both of them probably like karaoke. Cliff likes singing classics.
Kyra gets into it with him sometimes too.
Kyra watches dramas.
Either Pam and Lani got her into them, or they happen to coincidentally like the same ones
Either way, they like to talk about them together.

Kyra likes photography, and as I said in my first headcanons post, she’s good at it.
She ended up buying a proper camera so she doesn’t always have to use her phone

Cliff has a bunch of pictures of you and cove growing up and regularly sends them to kyra
She likes to put them up in her apartment
Kyra also definitely flew out for events like you and cove’s graduations (and your wedding)

Okay lemme just say
This boy is NERVOUS AS HELL when you decide to make it an official date instead of just hanging out.
But the day leading up to the date - he is a giddy, smiley mess. He is so so so excited.
No matter what you guys are actually doing for the date, he goes ABOVE AND BEYOND to prepare (tbh he would prob go above and beyond for every date you would go on, but more so for your first date)
He makes an effort to dress a little nicer than usual (but not like super formal like the soiree or the charity event), makes sure he’s all freshened up, maybe even wears a little cologne, and even makes sure there isn’t any sand or anything on him (even tho there probably still is)
He shows up at your door (or probably your window) and oh my god, that man looks STUNNING.
He probably also even brings you a little gift like flowers or something cute like that. This boy is very thoughtful.
Okay now onto the date itself.
I feel like you guys would do something different than what you normally do together when you're hanging out. So not hanging out at the hill or the beach or anything.
I feel like for your first date you would do something pretty classic tho like going out for dinner or seeing a movie together.
Cove definitely offers to pay for both (whether you let him or not is up to you lmao)
He probably also buys you a little something like he did when you were kids too.
Throughout the whole date, he has his classic little wobbly smile on his face. He’s shaking a little, but you can tell he’s genuinely really happy
He’s probably still processing the fact that you’re on a proper date with him LMAO

Without even getting changed, he flops onto his bed, and just kinda melts.
This boy is smiling into his pillow, just absolutely bursting with pure joy and happiness. He literally loves you SO damn much. Probably more than you could ever imagine
But he eventually does get changed properly. He doesn't just go to bed in the clothes he wore out on ur date lol.
As soon as you get home, there’s no escape from the ruthless teasing from both Liz AND the moms.
They’ll leave you alone after you go up to your room tho, don’t worry

Liz & Terry are both god at mario kart and they are very competitive with each other (I mentioned this in a different post)
Terry probably mains waluigi, yoshi, or toad
Liz mains daisy. Idk that's the only character I can picture her using.
Derek is really good at fighting games like super smash bros and street fighter
He probably mains Incineroar or Bayonetta in smash(don’t ask abt this one i just get a vibe)
Cove is also probably decent at Smash. (probably mains either pikachu, rosalina, or maybe link(?))
He would probably be really good if you and him play together regularly
Cliff likes playing video games with people, but isn't too competitive.
Kyra, Lani, and Pam don’t really know much abt video games, but if you show them then they’ll be down to play
As I've mentioned before, Pam and Lani get REALLY competitive, and once you get them to play, they are unstoppable.
I feel like Baxter isn't the type of person who plays video games regularly. He’s pretty average at them tho.

Cove doesn’t play a lot of board games, but he still enjoys playing them

Cliff obliterates everyone at cards. The only time he ever loses is if he loses on purpose. (this ones kinda canon tho)
Out of everyone, Cove is the closest to beating him. He’s normally not very competitive with games and stuff, but he’s very competitive when it comes to his beating his parents at stuff
As a kid, Liz made Cove cry over monopoly at some point.
Lee and Derek are both actually really good at monopoly
Cove is the first one to run out of money most of the time.
Liz is normally very diligent on the rules, but is lowkey willing to bend them a little for her own sake. She doesn’t admit it tho.
Miranda likes playing Clue best, and almost always guesses right.
She likes pretending to be a detective
Baxter’s better at board games than he is video games
He’s also probably really good at Clue.

They enjoy sharing their music tastes with each other and even go to concerts together.
Miranda likes to sing in the kitchen, and sometimes Terry will randomly join/harmonise with her
And while we’re on this topic, Terry is very good at singing.
The two of them go on lots of movie dates.

honestly I don't have that many predictions since idrk what to expect but ik that structurally, it'll be similar to cove's moments/the base game as in that it'll be comprised of a moments that you can select from. I think that the contents of the moments are probably gonna be different than cove's tho. I feel like for both baxter and derek's dlcs, you'll probably be going out of sunset bird more (for example for derek's you could go over to his place or his neighbourhood, and with baxter he might take you different places since he would have the money to.) I think the dynamic might be kinda different than w cove since with cove you would have known and been around him longer than the other two, if that makes sense
cove will always be #1 in my heart, but im also looking forward to derek and baxter's dlcs!!!!!

i'd say there generally not really much of a limit on characters? although i will ask that you don't do more than like. 8 characters in one ask i guess? and also try and keep the asks to one media at a time for organizational purposes!
there aren't really any characters i wont write for, but i do prefer to write for characters i am more attached to and are more familiar with.
and in terms of getting less or more, i'd like to think that i'd try not to make it shorter, but i will try and not make the post super long.
i really just try and write until i run out of ideas for a hc, so whether it ends up shorter or longer will depend i guess lol

He is very very understanding and kind of course
He doesn’t exactly understand it perfectly since he doesn’t have seasonal depression, but he tries his best to understand it.
He’s there for you every step of the way and just wants you to be okay.
There if you just need someone to keep you company, someone to talk to, or someone to help take care of you, anything!!
He comes up to your room on those days where you don’t get out of bed
Always reminding you to drink water, eat a proper meal, shower, take care of yourself, etc.
He also does a lot of research on how to help someone w seasonal depression!
He doesn’t really know what exactly to do at first. If you ask something of him, he’ll do it in a heartbeat for you tho
Tries to give you as much motivation as he can to do things
He probably also leaves little surprises for you like encouraging notes in your locker, or bag, or sweaters, or brings you little gifts or snacks that you like.
Makes an effort to open up your windows or go outside with you so you can get that vitamin D
Enjoys taking you on walks! Lets you get some sunlight, gets the body moving, and its just pleasant to have a conversation while having a stroll!
And he's always there for you during your seasonal depression! And you can definitely notice how happy he gets when he sees that you’re getting better as the months progress.

He’ll probably go out to the store and buy you anything and everything you need
We all know he loves to spoil you.
But during your period? Oh he pampers you. Like A LOT.
He knows you're a bit more sensitive/vulnerable during this time, and he knows how bad your dysphoria can get too during this time, too.
Orders food that he knows you like and/or find comforting. Hes not too confident in his cooking, so he just orders.
Does anything you ask, and it is always there at your call.
Makes sure you have everything you need. Comfy clothes, heating pads, water, snacks, all that.
If it's REALLY bad, they’ll even see if they can stay and work from home just to stay there with you.
The thought that it’s digging into his raid hours crosses his mind, but his boyfriend is more important.
He probably does some research into how to help, and things that could be gender affirming for you, etc.
Makes you tea
He's just generally really understanding and supportive with you. He hates seeing you hurting and dysphoric, so he just wants to help.
