Omori x Project Sekai AU

Deep within a vast wood lays a safe haven that takes the appearance of a clearing. This clearing is painted with the colours of autumn, a picnic blanket is spread along the ground as a place for the weary to rest. There's a large pond, free of any debris-- it almost works more like a mirror than its own ecosystem.

Faceless children play in this clearing, almost all of them tinted in a lilac hue. Among them is a woman in green, she doesn't seem to be as playful as the children yet she is following their whims.

That is until she notices you.

"Oh... Welcome to the Picnic Sekai."

Aka, Sunny creates his own Sekai out of traumatizing himself. Gumi guides him through his hardships with the goal that someday he'll be able to show his true emotions and share an amazing song.

This takes place in a universe where the incident never happened!

Sunny was gifted the violin by his friends and his family signed him up for the recital. While Sunny was good at the violin-- he was still a beginner that made mistakes. The irritation from his sister and the pressure from his parents really left an impact on him.

Instead of snapping and the incident happening, Sunny internalizes the desire to be perfect. He loses himself in trying to get better at music. His friends, family-- the whole world-- wants him to be a perfect musician.

And under that pressure Sunny eventually realizes he lost his true self. A large part of himself he can't get back.

Sunny lost his ability to feel.

Hugs from his friends spark nothing in him, his anxiety is gone, there's just no emotion that can be found in his day to day life. But it's fine-- it's not like anyone wanted that part of him anyways, right? Everyone wanted him to be perfect. Nobody was there to ask if he wanted to play violin, nobody cared about how lonely he felt having to be inside all day. Sunny just had finally become the perfect doll that the world wanted him to be.

The only time Sunny ever seems to feel a spark of emotion is through music. Sunny can only show his true self and desires through the one thing he truly hates. This starts the kickstart of the Picnic Sekai.

The Picnic Sekai's creation happens about two months after the recital. Untitled shows up on Sunny's computer at first, then over the years transfers to his other devices.

The only residents that live in the Sekai other than Sunny consist of Gumi and then faceless versions of the headspace friends. Basil is also purple. He gets no special treatment. :(

Better Off Worse is not the Picnic Sekai's first song. But it probably would be in the list of ones that could possibly appear in the au.

Before we continue on any more details about the au, let's have some notes about Gumi:

Gumi tends to be a calm guardian of the Sekai. She does show a wider range of emotions than Sunny, but they all seem quite muted.

Mom figure. She will follow whatever whims the children of the Sekai with for her. Aubrey wants to braid her hair? Why not! Kel wants hide and seek? Gumi is a great hider! Mari wants a walk? Gumi knows a safe path through the forest!

Gumi tries to guide Sunny through encouragement. She encourages him to make his own music so he can try to express himself more, but she doesn't push the topic. Gumi doesn't like to go against Sunny's will. He doesn't want any of the real world friends in his Sekai because they betrayed him. So she will do whatever she can to make the Sekai a safe place for him.

Sunny enjoys Gumi's presence. She doesn't mind if he speaks plainly, she always has good advice, and she's willing to help him with any of his problems.

Yet in four years Sunny never made any progress. His friends still dragged him to hang out with them, but he always seemed distant. He never really got his emotions back. He just lives constantly in a cycle of secretly doing what he hates just so he can express himself. None of his friends know his predicament, they just know one day he started acting weird.

The only change in the four years since Sunny was 12 is that Mari moved away for college. And the move brought a new member to the Picnic Sekai. Fukase.

Because you guys got notes on Gumi then you get notes on Fukase:

Fukase seems full of energy at a first glance! He initiates play with all members of the Sekai, one moment he'll dance with Gumi and the other he is playing tag with the kids.

He always seems to have a smile on his face, which sometimes those smiles are creepy, but Sunny has never seen Fukase without a smile.

Fukase is actually a manipulative little guy under the kind surface. It's been four years with no progress, and so Fukase is going to use his own methods to get Sunny 'better'. Even if it causes an unpleasant experience for Sunny.

It'll start with small things. Fukase will plant seeds in the faceless children's minds of how Sunny needs to face his challenges someday. Just in hopes that the children will all approach Sunny at their own time and make comments. Next, Sunny left his phone in a room with Basil during a sleepover. Fukase just tried turning on the screen with Untitled showing. Unfortunately Basil is too polite to actually snoop in Sunny's phone. Then, Aubrey would dream of a small concert in a forest. Her friend singing his heart out on stage while she held glowsticks in her hands.(in the PJSK game it's mentioned to characters that the people in the audience are "people who needed to see the concert" if I remember correctly) Lastly, Fukase actually puts Untitled on Kels phone. This works as intended until Kel spawns right in front of Gumi who immediately sends him back to the real world.

Fukase manifested when Mari moved out of the house. Part of the reason is because Sunny blames his friends and family for all of his problems. They are the ones who turned him into this monster and now they are able to run away like this is nothing. This is why Fukase turned out a little manipulative.

Anyways I have a lot more to say about the Picnic Sekai. This really just catches up to about the time the Omori game takes place. Mari and Hero coming back from college for a bit is something I wanna expand on sometime.

I have a Picnic Sekai playlist I'm working on. I enjoy making designs for songs I think Sunny would sing. So if you guys wanna request art of that or just the au then feel free to send in asks!

i have a Project Sekai AU

the title isn't really official but it's along the lines of:

Shrouded Dreams x Backstage

it consists of

• Tsukasa Tenma

• Saki Tenma

• To(u)ya Aoyagi

• Shizuku Hinomori

• Mizuki Akiyama

and the main loids are miku, kaito, and the kagemine twins

the main premises (and reason why the name is what it is) is that the group was founded after all their dreams and hard work shattered and/or they gave up on them

it started with Saki, but Tsukasa was the catalyst (i promise they don't end up in a fight it's much different)

idk if anyone will find this or even read this but it's here ig

anyway, more on that sekai au i have

the official title is -DreamEater x Backstage-

and this one is gonna focus on the characteristic changes with the tenmas (including aoyagi), hinomori and akiyama, but this post specifically is gonna focus on mr. tenma (i might edit the group to include mafuyu instead but i don't know just yet)

anyway, starting off with the burnt out star himself:

Tsukasa Tenma

the main focus of his character can be summed up to a "shooting star"

a star that's fallen (kinda). to sum it up, basically ruis comment got a little too deep into tsukasas skin and it broke him, so he called the troupe together (which was also hard enough to do on his own) and personally apologized to them. this was mixed in with self pity and genuine regret for yelling at nene. he resigns himself from the troupe and gives up acting altogether, essentially leaving rui and the rest in a silent, bitter confusion

tl;dr he lets his mistake with nene get too far into his skin and he gives up, letting that star act he built up crumble from his acclaimed "arrogance" and being "called out" on it

i'll get to saki next, but there's tsukasas end of things

edit: i realize this explanation is a bit confusing, so later on when i get the story lined up better i'll give a better explanation for all of them. for now i hope this will suffice, sorry,,!

it's also like 1:59 am

moving on, in sakis part of the story, her end is the layout for a chain of events that lead up to where they are now and tsukasa is the catalyst, what sparked that final moment and set things into motion.

sakis story follows the main event of Leo/Need, taking place right after the group is freshly reformed

of course there are a lot of fights still, and because of her illness, saki feels disheartened in more ways than one this time. not being able to help settle things with her friends, being too sick to even visit them, etc.

a lot is running through her mind during her time in the hospital and it all goes downhill even faster when another fight breaks out between ichika and shiho this time. the situation could've been easier to manage if honami was there but she had to stay behind that day.

the quarreling comes to a halt when saki begins crying, she's been crying almost the entire time but her sobs were masked by the arguments of the other two. this obviously gets them to stop and they start to hover over saki apologizing and attempting to calm her down but saki gets up and hides away in the hospital bathroom instead.

the two girls did try to get her out to talk to her but eventually visiting hours were closed and they headed out. after they left, saki started to give up and even regret her many attempts to get her old friends to come back together after finally seeing how difficult it is for them to get along at this point and time.

so she decided to stop and give up. she convinced herself that her efforts only hurt them more than helped them, and that was far what she originally intended. after she was released she called a meeting in the sekai and announced her resignation, leaving amidst their protests, mainly from ichika and shiho, and questions mixed with a request for an explanation of what happened from honami.

saki went home and never told tsukasa what happened until she saw him in the same state she was in

sad, wounded, and overall a far cry from who they were before the events that led up to their dreams being shattered and eaten up by a wound that was carved too far deep for comfort.

so she confronted tsukasa first, pestering him to tell her what's wrong until he did. and she told him too

and so they decided to make a song together

then another

then another

what they wanted was a way of coping with what they lost, they didn't expect their feelings to speak to thousands of people nor to get as popular as they did.

this was the start of the producers "BACKSTAGE", the first substructure and blueprint for what would be DreamEater x BACKSTAGE

I have come back with an AU I had in my mind for about a year and a half. This AU has been in the back of my mind for the longest time, but I have finally decided to share it.

It will not be a full story due to my lack of skills in writing. So I will draw some scenes here and there and explain them.

This AU takes place during the event, On the Stage of Dazzling Light, where Tsukasa, out of frustration of not being able to deliver his lines correctly, runs out of the stage that him and the others (Rui, Nene, and Emu) where at. He runs to the road without looking both ways and gets hits by a car (look, I know that's cliche-), which ends his life.

However, he wakes up and is greeted by Hatsune Miku(I imagine Miku is dressed in her Divine Goddess module from Project Diva), and she gives Tsukasa another chance at life but in return he can't go back to the real world and is forced to live in his Sekai. In addition, he also loses his memories, well, most of them. He still remembers his family.

The rushed doodle above shows him in his outfit from the event (which is the outfit he died in). The reason why there is a black transparent circle surrounding him is because once he got to the Sekai, the bright lights hurt his eyes, so at first, he toned the brightness down in the Sekai (he is the owner of it after all, meaning he can do whatever he wants with the Sekai). But later on, he made it so the Sekai looks like it was at the beginning, but made it so that the lights weren't too bright when he was around. This is because he saw the other inhabitants sad that the Sekai wasn't as colorful as it used to be, he felt bad and changed it back to how it was at the beginning.

Hi-Hi!! Thank you for waiting, I swear I didn't get my head cut off and please enjoy part two!

Warnings!: a little long, mentions of death and murder, written on 3h of sleep

Feat!: detective/char Rui Kamishiro x writer gn!reader

You could notice the once warm air become cold. The breaths you took became sharp, almost impossible to inhale... The flowers' smell intensified.. it was sweet.. nauseatingly sweet. It made your head spin without stopping. What were you supposed to say? That you created that whole world and everything was just your imagination?! There must be another way.. right..? You closed your eyes... Trying to think of an excuse, but what could that excuse be?! You knew everything about the novel you were in.. you wrote it after all...

"I'm just.. good at reading people. That person is either the culprit in this case.. or at least feels guilty."

You clarified calmly.. even so your tone continued to betray a hint of uncertainty. Praying the detective boy will believe you, a small smile inhabiting your lips.

Rui's eyebrows furrow slightly, not really biting, yet he had no other choice. He stared you then sighed quietly and glanced at the victim's ghost, who just noded, agreeing to your last statement.

"Hmm... That is.. unexpected to say the least..."

The detective muttered, as his eyes subtily darted at the supposed criminal, to making sure he wasn't going to escape from the crime scene.

Even if you were believed.. why were you still nervous? Why did it feel like you couldn't exhail that honey sweet air? You mentained your eyes barely open as an attempt to collect your thoughts. As you pondered, Rui approaches the uneasy culprit. The soft gusts of wind murmured a tune only by them knew. The song intertwined itself with fragments of sun golden of colour. A melody as indescribably pleasant as they ears were more than blessed to have bestowed upon them, brought into existence by the orchestra of the everliving and forever ageless mother nature, could have stolen even the hearts of stone of many.

Who knew that fictional characters could do the same for their creators?— FOR THE SECOND TIME; PARDON?! It must be a mistake! Did Foxglove add the wrong part?! You must have felt warm because of.. uhh.. the beautiful scenery -which was written to your heart's desire, you created it after all-! Not because of some purple haired protagonist!... right..? Yet.. maybe.. just maybe.. no... It couldn't be.. that would be silly wouldn't it..? To feel that way towards a person made of pretty words and forgotten standards?

Before your thoughts could get the ability suffocate your mind once more in such a short time span, out of seemingly nowhere the silence was sliced.

"Such a shame that someone had to lose their life here... So many dreams that shattered..."

Declared the young man in a saddened voice, the situation not pleasing him, but can he be blamed? Who would be happy of someone's death? You remained drowned in silence, but slowly nod. After a while you attempt to add your contribution to the conversation, as if history repeated itself, the world felt foggy and unclear. The sapphire and cloudless sky began to melt into the trees. You desperately attempt to keep your eyes open, to keep Rui in your sight. But now, the detective ,who you last saw clearly while he walked towards the culprit to recite their rights, faded into the scenery. And the once gorgeous world of your novel turns into nothing but endless darkness. In this never ending void a thread of golden light pried your eyes open. Through the blinds the ray snaked it's way upon your unconscious face. Ah, how your heart aimlessly began to beg to go back. Glancing at the pages on which you have rested in a slumber with inexistent sound glazed, to the sky your eyebrows raise upon seeing your very own name get added to the action of the story. In an act still not fully conscious, you grabbed the pen, it's ink now dry and unevenly distributied. Shaky was your hand as to the page you selfishly added one more sentence, though incoherent with the actions previous to it in the story, made and inexplicable warmth fill your sleepy heart.... [Y/N] and Rui kissed.
