Anything I have promised to make (my dreamzzz ninjago rewrite and a drawing for the Ninjago Nutcracker AU by and for @angeldrawsstuffs ) will be postponed until my finals are over and the next Monday, as I have weekend plans as well!
I have a minute before my History Final, so I thought I'd share this Skybound thought.
I STRONGLY believe that the REAL reason why Kai and Zane were removed early is because if they saw what Nadakhan was doing to their friends, they would go FERAL! Even Zane.
But I think this because Zane is the mom friend of the group, and Kai is the older brother of the group. So it's like when a bully messes with someone's children/younger siblings, except it's worse.
Just some food for thought :)
Random thought, but what if Zane was actually not a morning person? Like I know it's kinda fanon at this point that Zane likes the morning, but I think it'd be funny if the two people everyone was dreading to wake up were Nya (a lot of people headcanon her to hate mornings and I agree) and Zane and everyone takes turns waking them up so that one person doesn't have to deal with one of them all the time.

Behind Pixal is the cupioromantic pride flag. I have come to terms that I myself am cupioromantic, which means that you want a romantic relationship, but you don't feel romantic attraction to others. I thought it would be nice to get some cupioromantic representation along with posting something for once. Killing two birds with one stone, I guess.
A yellow rose is a way to show a strong friendship with another person, or a platonic relationship of any other kind. Like how a red rose is to show romantic love to another person.
Exactly! Like there are different hair styles and textures that apply to different types of people, whether that be because of race or because of culture.
It's good to get feedback to update your art, but researching is good too, especially for things like this that may not seem important, but that it is actually really important!
I'll give you two example drawings from me (please note these were drawn at different times so the styles are sort of different)
Now, let me start by saying that I am white, and I had to do some research. So please correct me if I get anything wrong or sound racist!
With the bottom image, I based my sources off the picrew used in the drawing. But I also had shown this piece to one of my mom's friends, who is a black woman. She even picked the name!
It's good to look up photos and drawings for reference if you need help with drawing someone of another race or culture, especially if you plan on showing that piece to others. Personally, I used a video by an artist named Thumin (hopefully I spelled her name right), who, as a black woman, gave a tutorial on coloring skin and coloring hair.
But it's also a good idea to check with friends, family or anyone you may know online about extra information, as some sources hold stereotypes for black people as well as other people who aren't white.
With the top image, I spent a LONG time looking up tutorials for how to draw dreadlocks, as that's something I don't draw very often. There were even times I straight up went into ibis paint and looked up if anyone had made a brush for dreadlocks. They had, but they were either too realistic or didn't fit with my style.
The best thing I could do was practice, and while I may mess up from time to time, I'll be fine if I realize how to learn from my mistake.
Hopefully this helped anyone who needed it.
It always bothers me when someone says they hc a character (for example, Cole) as black but then don't adjust the hair at all to fit that headcanon? Like as someone said on a different post, with a similar topic once, it just feels like you're drawing a white person but coloring them as a black person...

As far as terms go:
Fem/neutral/masc -> 40-35-25
i LOVE fem terms, neutral terms are okay and I'm meh about masc terms. (Terms are things like 'man' 'lady' 'human' etc)

Alright, I'm giving in. For the next few days I'll be taking drawing requests from you all. Go wild (nothing problematic and please nothing with face morphing or something too gorey. I'm a wimp and can't stand it (but a little bit of gore is fine tho))

I've never posted about my actual life before, but this was really important to me, so I'm posting about it.
I'm officially a freshman in high school now, (that kinda gives away my age but I'm still not telling you how old I am) and I passed with almost straight B's, with one C- in gym class, mainly because of tardiness. I've been trying and trying to keep straight A's, as last year I did have all A's even though I had a gap in my math education from going to public school most of my life. (I'm at this school on a scholarship).
Why am I telling you this? Well, it's because yesterday was my last day of school, and my mom asked for our grades while she drove home from work.
When she came home, she brought in flowers and chocolate covered oreos.
They were for me, and I was actually rather surprised. She told me how proud she was of me trying to give my all and for helping her around the house. She also was thankful for me trying my all to give her a good Mother's Day. (She and I had stayed up for 18 hours making a brisket. She was the one grilling it and it was really good!!)
We as a family (me, my mom and my little brother) have been through a lot these last few months. I won't go into detail because that is my family's personal choice and they said no, but the point is, I've still tried my best at school. I've tried to give it my all despite what has been happening. And so has my mom.
And it's because of you guys. People I've been following for a long time (like two years, I haven't been here long) in the Ninjago Fandom like (hope you don't mind the tags guys!!) @roselock22 , @spinjitsuburst , @enavstars , @xynczachrome and so many more people. Thank you for being such an inspiration for me, and thank you, Ninjago Fandom, for welcoming me with open arms :)
