Might as well share something, if it wasn’t obvious sir pentious is my favorite character lol

I figured he’d also be the easiest one to redesign, rn it’s a wip, hopefully I can finish it soon! (I’ll also explain my design process then)

Sir Pentious redesign!!!! Original for comparison ( also lil ramble below)

For starters I actually like sir pentious’ original design a lot! He’s one of the designs that actually feels demonic, if that makes sense? ( I feel like a lot of the designs are sometimes too bland or just anthro animal)

The only things I didn’t like is the generic suit and the top hat being a bit too expressive, it got too distracting for me.

For my redesign I tried to lean more into steam punk inventor since that’s seems to be a huge part of his character.

Some notes

I gave him a more Victorian outfit to better match his time period (it’s not the best but it’s better than shoulder pads and bow ties 😭)

I changed his primary colors to green and purple ( mainly to reflect the sins of envy and pride) you know since he desires to be an overlord I imagine he’s pretty envious of those in power, also he does have a bit of inflated ego

I simplified the hat, it’s only has the eye now, the pupil can move around and dilate but it’s not as expressive (it’s mainly a me thing I just find it way to distracting that the hat makes so many expressions)

I thought it would be a neat idea if he’d put lil accessories on his tail ( like different ray guns or weapons) I thought it would be cute since it would be like a lil rattler, I’d like to think he switches it out often

And probably the biggest change is the robotic limbs, I really wanted the sinner forms to not only reflect a persons life and death but to also be a form of punishment for them. So when pentious first arrived in hell he had no arms, a punishment to prevent him from inventing , the thing he loves to do the most. It didn’t stop him tho as he managed to build himself some prosthetics later on.

Also egg bois confuse me so much so I just made them lil robots, also needed to fill up the page with a doodle lol

This is still in the works, I’m not 100% satisfied and my ideas are a bit scattered but I do like how it turned out! I’m considering doing an alt demon form for him as well as his heaven version too ( I hate how it’s just a palette swap) Let me know what you think! Input is appreciated!!

I’ll probably do an Alastor redesign next ( I have quite a bit to say about him) that or redesigning IMP, I’m open to suggestions!

NEW FREIGHT REDESIGNS

i had sm fun redesigning new freight i wasnt a fan of how similar their outfits looked but i really liked the colors they used so i tried to keep the colors but i change them very slightly

i ended up making porter a hopper bc i heard he transports coal and i think it makes sense

also if youre wondering abt the eyes these designs are specifically for my au and i like to design their eyes to kinda match what train they are

Originally these were just design mashups, at least, that was the plan for my "redesigns"... but it really made me realize how little they change Red throughout the generations. hence why he looks VERY similar to his canon design, i just added some things i guess. for Blue i could go absolutely ham with things i wanted in his design since there's so much to choose from. the fang idea comes from my friend. also, these are pretty much used for an AU based off of the RG project romhack by @shima-draws (i hope tagging is okay aaa) bc i played it with my friend and we really liked it and it converted him into a pokemon fan and namelessshipper :) In the end we made our own AU based off of it because other characters got thrown into it. we're continuing the timeline in soul silver :p

Here's a design for Leaf, she's Red's sister in my headcanon, i again went for the design mashup thing so that's why she looks like a mashup of Green and Leaf. i don't have much to say here....

Then there's some designs i can't show but it's for the reason that they are just human + trainer versions of sonic exes (not joking, i wish i was. my friend dragged them into our mini-roleplays, only two and they were Red's traveling companions and later Kris's too.)

Then here's a redesign inspired by other Daisy designs. dunno why but i just wanted her to be pink....

then i made some silly redesigns/design mashups for Ash and Gary

And drew Red and Blue in alola. married dudes -w- Just in general my headcanon is that Red collects keychains, he probably has boxes worth of keychains and puts different ones on his bag every day, he even did this as a child he just didn't stop even into adulthood. Still a kid at heart with his silly keychains more headcanon rambles: Blue hates the cold but loves the warmth and Red loves the cold and hates the warmth. please put him into a freezer he can't handle the heat of alola- also yeah i know i messed up the number on Red's shirt, i learned how to draw 96 after this, i promise

And now we get to Pokemon Soul Crystal,,, which is just pokemon soul silver but with a patch that makes Lyra into Kris lol

Here she is!! i tried incorporating some bits from Lyra and her comfy outfit is based off of Gold i swear i love Kris's design in canon, the hair is a lil funky tho so i made the pigtails a bit shorter and poofier

then we got Silver here... again not much change, i love his design, i just wanted to add some moon details bc why not

I'll batch these together! here's some redesigns for the OG trio for Soul Crystal

Blue is supposed to look like he's been crying (sorry Blue :C) Red just makes me think of pokepastas im sorry, once he gets off mt. silver he'll get a haircut. Leaf is just. i dunno, i don't really know how to characterize her... she cares a lot about people but she's kinda bitchy about it. tough love i guess.. I think after soul crystal is over i'll get working on an continuation of that that isn't tied to a game where she gets more of an important role so i can work on her character. Blue is wearing lots of reds/warmer tones cause why not and Red is supposed to wear lots of blues/colder tones to give a little bit of a connection i guess.

Now, here's the final drawing before i show shitpost stuff, this was drawn with a drawing tablet rather than a mouse like usual

lines are a little funky but i like how this looks, i just need a bit more practice, i'm rusty on drawing with a pen

Honestly this thing is fun to do lmaoo, will probably redesign all of them (except for Rocky himself, as that is the creator’s persona. Plus his design ain’t that bad anyways)

(Oh boi ik I’m gonna get some flack from this but🤷‍♂️)

I made this a while back cuz honestly hot opinion: I don’t like most of the characters design in PoppyPlay time. (Maybe the bunny & Poppy are fine with but the rest are just -p-).

I always felt like both of their designs are just bland asf & not that interesting in my opinion. 😓 So for this I made both based off those car suctions toys you see time to time anywhere & gave them the whole 80s fuzzy cute toy vibe going on (also made them as sloths cuz you don’t see them in horror games that often at all.)

Also my goal 4 these redesigns are focusing on the time they were made in based off each toys description in the game we know so far so they make more sense if that makes sense. ^^'

I already have Mommy Long Legs in the work so you’ll see her redesign some where in the future so keep an eye out 4 that!

Here she finally is! Well both of them actually cuz I wanted 2 give the random asf spider husband a redesign as well cuz he fr needed it.

The fact that they didn’t use them as some sort of a double enemy duo in the game which would’ve been more threatening and challenging since u gotta deal with both of these spidery spooks.

Also forgot 2 mention from my redesign post that I wanted ti add to the already existing concept in the game with the whole “making the toys life like” but “also add animal dna to make them more believable” but as in consequences that causes their inner feral animal 2 act out and attack anyone if feel threaten. :0

Also I reused MLL old design concept 4 this cuz it’s cute and mad they didn’t go 4 that and instead use the simple bland one.🧍‍♂️
