Life with the parents
Karlheinz watched his parents closely as they lectured him and his brothers. He noticed how their complaints were mostly aimed at him and his older brother. His father was silent through most of it, only saying small phrases. His mother looked at him and his older brother.
"I know you two have an eye for science, but your brothers are not your guinea pigs. Isshin I expected more from you."
Karlheinz shot his brother a glance as he watched him take the blame. The entire incident was Karl's fault though. He looked over at Richter and Sōgi who were standing behind their father. Richter glared holes into Karlheinz as Sōgi stood there quietly with his eyes covered by his hair like always. Karlheinz narrowed his eyes. He always wondered what his brother's eyes looked like. All he's ever seen is his mouth. Oh how he hated that unnerving smile. Sōgi's moved up as if he was looking at Karlheinz. Then he did it. That smile. Karlheinz huffed and turned his attention back to his mother.
"Now what would you do if you had children of your own someday who did things like this to their siblings?"
Isshin looked down. "I would punish them somehow."
Karlheinz knew better. His brother was too caring for his own good.
"I would help them with their experiment."
Karl's mother looked at him as he said that and raised an eyebrow.
"What ever am I going to do with you boys."
Sōgi turned to his mother and spoke out quietly.
"It was Karl, mother."
'That brat.' Thought Karlheinz.
Isshin gave his brother an apologetic look before being dismissed by his parents. The other brothers followed suit as Karl was about to sneak out the door slammed in his face. He slowly turned towards his parents.
"I didn't mean to set him on fire. I just wanted to see his stupid face! And Richter was just a casualty. He got in the way."
His mother just sighed.
"You're going to be leading one day. Such experiments aren't acceptable. Your people won't trust you."
"They don't need to, Mother. I will be more powerful than all of them anyway. And anyone who gets in my way will get what is coming to them."
A look of worry appeared on his mother's face. His father finally spoke up.
"I would prefer your older brother to lead."
Karlheinz glared at his father.
"He is too passive and weak willed. Too nice. He isn't even interested in leadership. He wants a "family life". I have no time for such things."
His mother looked slightly amused.
"I would hope not. You are still a child."
Karlheinz rolled his eyes.
"And Father. Isshin isn't that much older than me. We were born on the same day. He is older by mere minutes and you act as if he is so mature and old."
"He is. And his morals are intact."
Karlheinz opened his mouth to say more, but he soon felt a hand on his shoulder.
"Let's take a walk in my garden."
He looked up at his mother and sighed.
"Fine."

Karlheinz held the withered flower in his hand as he sat, now an adult in his mother's garden. The flower in his hand was very old compared to the flowers in the garden. He sat and reminisced about the day she gave him that flower. Now all that is left are memories. His brothers either dead or away somewhere far off. Must be nice. How he has longed to feel death. Maybe one day. Maybe.

Richter hummed as he and his older brothers had tea with their mother. He was happy for once. He was finally being treated like an adult.
"But you aren't one."
Richter flinched as he was broken out of his trance. He turned his attention to Karlheinz who was smirking.
"What did you say to me?"
"You aren't an adult."
"You aren't either."
"But I am older."
Richter glared at his brother, upset that he was in his head. He looked over at his other two brothers and his mother and a light blush spread across his face. They were laughing. He stood and excused himself, but before he could take a step he felt someone tug on his shirt. He looked around and saw no one. He looked to his mother and she smiled warmly and pointed down. He turned and looked down and he swore if it was possible he would have had a heart attack."
"Sōgi you have to stop doing that."
The boy said nothing. He just continued to pull Richter's shirt.
"What do you want."
"Play with me."
"No. We're busy."
"You were leaving."
"Go play with the others."
"Hanzo and Kinshiro left with Father."
"Tch."
Richter sighed and looked at the boy. Sōgi always wore long dress like robes that were too big and went past his feet, and the sleeves far longer than his arms. Sōgi was the baby of the family and knew just how to get his way. He pushed his hair out of the way and looked up at his brother with those big green puppy dog eyes.
"...Fine. Not for long."
Richter and his brothers looked at their mother as she stood.
"We'll all play."
Karl's cocky smirk faded into a look of slight shock. He didn't think he would have to play as well. Isshin smiled with a helpless grin, sweat dropping down his brow. Karl looked at Shi who seems quiet, but really isn't.
"Of course we'll play!!"
Karl raised an eyebrow.
"Shi you look so gloomy, yet you are always so...peppy."
Shi snickers before grabbing his skull mask from the table. He always took it off when having tea with his mother.
Karl sighed.
"What do you want to play."
"I made a game where you all have to hide and I'll come find you!"
"That sounds fairly easy."
Sōgi's sleeves dangled over his face and he covered his eyes.
"One hundred, ninety-nine, ninety-eight..."
Karl watched for a second. 'Counting backward. Such an odd child.'
Everyone scattered about the castle as he counted.
Sōgi carried a scythe over his shoulder that was very much larger than him. Nobody outside the family knew why he always carried it. But who would dare to ask?
His first stop was Richter's room. He always goes there to hide from Karl, so why wouldn't he go there to hide from Sōgi?
"Hmmmm.."
Sōgi slammed the back of his scythe down on the fancy metal coffin in the middle of the room. Soon enough Richter pushed it open with his feet and held his hands over his sensitive ears. Before he could yell Sōgi took off running down the hall, but not before he poked Richter's side.
His next stop was the dinning room. He knew that Shi liked to steal sweets during play time. He walked in and saw Shi standing on the table trying to reach the sweets. Sōgi poked his butt with the end of the scythe.
"Oh! You found me!"
"Where is every one else? I found Richter already."
"Try the throne room."
Sōgi shuffled down the hall and entered the room. He counted all every bat in the room that morning, so he knows how.many belong there. He glances at the bat sleeping on the throne.
"Isshin likes to nap after tea.."
He walked over to get a closer look and sure enough the bat had blonde hair on top of its head. Sōgi picked up his older brother and placed him in a tea cup he found on the armrest of the throne. He then noticed another odd bat that had particularly long hair.
Karlheinz's just knew his disguise would work. He stood there as a bat, admiring how things looked from this perspective. He suddenly felt tiny hands wrap around his body. He could do nothing but squeak and flap his wings. He had been caught off guard.
Sōgi showed Karl to his other brothers that had came into to room. Isshin flew off and turned normal beside Shi.
"You haven't found M-Mother yet."
None of them could speak without laughing.
Sōgi tapped his chin.
"I know where she is."
All the boys followed the youngest outside to their mother's garden. All except for Karl. He was still in his baby brother's hands. He could easily get free, but something inside of him is telling him that he shouldn't. Isshin pulled out his key and unlocked the door since Sōgi was too short.
All of them trailed inside looking around at all the flowers and large trees.
"I'll still never get used to this."
Richter rolled his eyes.
"You say that every time you come in here, Isshin."
They made their way to the center of the jungle like garden.
Richter accidentally steps into the hot spring and falls in. His brothers laugh and his mother smiles and watches him from her seat on the swing.
Sōgi turned to his father and other two brothers as they entered the area.
Yuriko looked around at her boys and couldn't help but smile.
"How was your trip?"
Kinshiro pinned his dark green hair back with a hair tie and jumped into the spring.
"Stressful." Hanzo said before jumping in too.
Yuriko kissed her husband's cheek.
He winced as his cheek sizzled from her kiss.
"Sorry Love. My light just can't help shining through."
She smiled.
Hanzo poked his head out of the water, his blue hair sticking to his face.
"What did you guys do today?"
"We played a game." Isshin chimed.
"What game?" Said Kinshiro.
Sōgi hummed.
"It's called...um..it doesn't have a name."
Karl turned normal after being freed from his little brother's grasp.
"We'll call it hide and go seek."

Yuriko is the mother of the boys. She has blonde hair and green eyes. She is very sweet, but she can be mean if she has to. Yuriko was an angel. That was until she met her husband. Most say that he tainted her with his darkness, but they both changed each other. Her light brightened him up a bit and his darkness made her a bit tougher. Nobody other than the friends they were extremely close to approved of their relationship, though two of those friends grew extremely jealous because they loved Yuriko. But that's another story.
The boys' father is named Jashin. Yes after the Naruto guy. I was scared you guys would judge the name, so I never used it in my stories. Anyway. Jashin is very powerful. So is his wife who he loves very much might I add. But together they rule over it all. The reapers and demons answer to them. He really does care about his kids. He shows it in his own cold way.
Isshin is the oldest. He is the first triplet. The triplets consist of him, Karlheinz, and Shi. Out of all the boys Isshin is the nicest. He is the most caring and is rather gentle. Don't take his kindness for weakness though. He is extremely smart and he knows how to use his head. Karl believes things coe easy to Isshin, but they don't. Isshin often takes the blames for some of the things his little brothers do. Out of all the siblings he and Karl are the closest. When he is older Isshin has six children with a rather vile woman. Though the kids were a bit forced he loves them no less. The oldest is Goemon. His hair is red and his eyes are purple. Isshin sent him to live with Yuriko and Jashin when he was four. The next is Satsuki. She has jet black hair and blue eyes. She resembles her grandfather. Isshin wasn't able to save her. She had to stay with her awful mother all those years. The next child or should I say children, were the twins. Ryuko and Ryuū. Light and dark. Good and "evil". They both look identical. Ryuū is the malr and Ryuko is the female. They have blonde hair and blue eyes. Ryu's hair reaches below her behind and Ryuū's goes down to his shoulders. Ryuū was kidnapped the day he was born. Isshin faked Ryu's death and escaped from his wife. He raised her until she was two before he figured it was too dangerous and gave her to his parents who absolutely adored her. Isshin has never met his last two kids and probably never will since he passed away when Ryu and Ryuū were eighteen. The last two are also twins. Rin and Siroko. Rin inherited his father's charm and sweetness leaving Siroko with the brains.
Karlheinz is the middle triplet. He is the more cunning and deceiving out of the three. He constantly gets into trouble. It isn't that he does bad things per say, but he enjoys using his brothers to test his little experiments. He is mire fond of Isshin since they both share a love for science. Though he knows Isshin doesn't approve of him using the others as test dummies. When he is older Karl still keeps in touch with his brothers. Or at least the ones that are alive. He has developed a love/hate relationship with one of his nieces. Ryu. He likes her because she is all he's wanted in a child and would be perfect for his experiments, but he also has a deep down hatred for her since she poses a threat to his throne. She is also a burning reminder of why he and Isshin grew distant before he died. She also calls him out on his lies and convinces his own children that they don't need his money. Hm. Little does she know she's playing right into his experiment.
Shi is the last triplet. He has Jet black hair and yellow eyes that look a lot like Karl's. He seems more on the emo side, but he is the exact opposite. Shi is fun loving and goofy. He loves playing pranks and cracking jokes, but he has a habit of hitting people in the head when they do or say something dumb. He wears a skull mask at all times and will only ever take it off if his mother asked. When he gets seriouss he means business. There is no laughing. No more jokes. Kust dead silence. Feeling him stare at you as he thinks of all the ways he punish you is a terrifying experience. Shi grows up and has a son from an unknown woman. Nobody knows the boy's real name, so everyone calls him Kid. He looks just like his father used to.
Richter is the fourth son. He's more fond of Sōgi than any other brother. Though he does like his other two younger brothers too. Well. He likes all his brothers really, but he is a bit iffy with Karlheinz. Richter tends to stay under his mother a lot. I mean most of his brothers do too, but Richter feels that he is the closest to her. You can often find him playing with Sōgi or spending time with his mother. Richter was the only one who witnessed Karl and Isshin's falling apart. He knew why Karl began to hate Isshin. Of course Richter took Isshin's side, but not just because he had ill feelings toward Karl. As an adult Richter visits Sōgi the most, but he does enjoy seeing his other brothers wherever they live. All except for Karl. His dislike for Karl grew into a deep once he fell for Cordelia.
The next two sons are Kinshiro and Hanzo. There isn't much to say about them. Kinshiro has hair similar to Richter's and his eyes are green. Hanzo has blue hair with brown eyes. They are the fighters of the family. Not with magic, but with their fists and weapons. They are really close their mother, but they enjoy going with their father on "business" trips.
Sōgi is the youngest of the boys. He is also the...how should I put this? The strangest. He has long silver hair and beautiful green eyes. He wears long black dress-like shirts with extremely long sleeves that go way past his hands. He carries a large scythe that was given to him by his father. Some say it's his safety item. He always has his hair covered. The only time he uncovers them is when he wants something. Those puppy dog eyes are deadly. He is deathly quiet like his father, but he will speak to tell a joke or to talk to his family. He doesn't talk to people he doesn't know. He will just stand there silently.
