What does your kintype do when it's too hot, because you live where the weather is too hot, and I need tips or ideas for foods/drinks that are colder
I tried making an animated thumbnail on Procreate for Shrap’s artfight and it actually turned out pretty cool! I did forget that the thumbnails are 200 x 200 pixels and never thought to check, so now it’s a slightly blurrier 100 x 100, but that’s ok. Get Pixelated

Hi, I’m robotkin, specifically a xenobot! I am very new to the otherkin thing, but this is what I’ve vaguely gotten about myself
Mine wasn’t so obvious, since I think I’ve never been too obsessed with robots until recently. When I was little I actually acted like and wanted to be a dog. For some reason that faded. That doesn’t mean it’s fully gone though! I still have leftover doggish features
But afterwards, what I gravitated towards was masked characters and places that were alien, like aquariums and observatories. I also gravitated towards a lot of concepts that irrationally scared me, which was mostly SCPs and apocalypse stories. They just made me feel like I was in my element. Of course, I’m also neurodivergent and that causes a lot of alienation. One example is I literally wear a mask everywhere because I always subconsciously make sure my face is emoting correctly, which saps up a lot of energy. (edit: nvm that’s just social anxiety)
Finally I got into this game called Ultrakill and also found some other robot media, and this was also on vacation in an urban place and I had just rediscovered otherkin, so it was the perfect storm.
What it means for me to be otherkin is just being extremely comfortable if I’m ever in one or am one of those vibes I listed. It makes my day much brighter when I can embody those things, and the most concrete way I can is loving them through my robotic identity if that makes sense? Metal arms, animalistic legs, and being an all around existential horror.

To any out there who identifies as otherkin or nonhuman could you give me some insight into why you feel connected to certain animals, objects ect. I would like to know more about what I’ve seen some people call an “awakening” I want to note this is completely coming from a place of curiosity I have no intention to judge. I’m non-binary myself and would be foolish to try to critique how someone else identifies. I’m into studying different communities and exploring different kinds of things. I feel like if I could get some information from actual otherkin I might understand more.
I just think that angels and robots are inherently linked and therefore should kiss. or fuck nasty idk. something something biologically compatible something something

I run my fingers along your arms. Your myriad of little sensors register the touch, but you see, there's a slight dead-zone in the hardware. The tiny cells don't discharge unless they reach a certain voltage, and this delicate, silken caress never presses hard enough. The result of this is a static buildup, all along your exoskin, held tight but not released. There are voltage leaks, tiny, but erratic - they flicker across your servos, causing twitches and spasms across your arm.
And with every brush of my fingers it continues, and continues, the static building and building, until little leaks begin to jump down your wires and crackle on your CPU and your log flickers with jumbled warning messages and I keep my constant and continuous caress and-
And then I press my palm against your exoskin and run it down your arm, and a wave of static finally discharges all at once, a golden flood down the neat bundles of wires into your core. Algorithms designed to detect pleasure trigger repeatedly, and your fans spin as the current courses up and down your spinal column, and your servos - temporarily locked - disengage, hydraulics whispering as your body settles.
You don't have any manufacturing defects, my love. Only beautiful features under a tender touch.
Did the whole "Don't hate what you don’t understand" lesson we were taught a million times over in children's movies go over people's heads?
