This beauty, as you can see, is every bit as stunning as the close-up, and I couldn't be happier with the bg she designed. It was EXACTLY what I wanted. It fits their dynamic so well.
A spontaneous move made somewhere secluded. Or, is it? Someone could peer through the open spaces. Footsteps could approach at any second.. It's risky, but so very worth it.

Poor jokes aside, I am absolutely INFATUATED by her look in this style. She looks so delicate and soff, and I love the whole lost in their own little world thing that happens with them, and this conveys it perfectly.

Hello, greetings from Germany~! I am right now with my parents in Breidenbach, a small village in Hessen, Germany by my family and it's totally wonderful here Snooki3. 2. Some random guy. 3. Ruki, but with a mane more fluffy and wavy than always. It was just a little experiment, but I must admit I prefer him the way he always is - straight, full mane. 4. I drew Ruki over the night but left the shading for today. I really liked it. And quess what? I opened the file this morning and was like "WTF what is this piece of shit?!". Well, I think I'll never leave anything for the next day ;___;
Well, where to start? Zakia and Ruki, two very old characters of mine, members of the Burning Blood Pride, where Zakia is the leader and Ruki is her most loyal guard. They might look stern and not that nice, but it's just how their lifes shaped them. No, their tribe itself might be distrustful to strangers, but bloodshed and aggression are not their thing. Family and loyalty is all that matters. Back in my deviantart days, I did some pictured of the pride - check it out here, if you dare.
I have no idea why I'm going back to this. Want to go back to simplier times? Not really... 10 years ago, where this project was blooming in my head, I have just finished high school and started university. Those times were certainly not easy - just like it is now. I think I need to keep my head occupied with some imaginary lion family to get the bad thoughts away - just like those 10 years before. I have some other doodles of my old role-play felines in my sketchbook, might post them as an art dump someday. sry guys, just needed to vent a bit. everything seems fine, I moved with my favorite bearded guy together after years of living in different cities, have a bigger flat now, all my fish live with me again, I don't have to come home to an empty room after 2,5 years of loneliness - but my new workplace is wrecking me, my colleagues are cute and sweet ppl, but my boss makes me regret working in the profession I love with my whole heart and is the cause of my stress every sunday night. I want to give that place a chance, but it just feels like an enormous challenge and is nerve wrecking.
ey Ruki is a big fluffy handsome guy and he needs a big fluffy pretty girlfriend THERE SHE IS!!! I named her Barbora, but it might be changed, because it's weird to have a lion named Barb (BARB LAHEY?!?!??!). Eitherway, she comes from the same pride as Asaya. The tribe broke down after their leader's death, fell upon hard times and living in a harsh chilly climate doesn't make things easier. Because their pride had an alliance with the Burning Blood, they were more than welcome to join them. And so she and Ruki met. First friends, then a bit platonic, beautiful love. Both were definitely mature when they met (50 years in human age) and knew definitely what they wanted in a relationship - a stable, deep friendship, a trustful and helpful companion. And a lot of big, fluffy cuddles.

He had to win to live, as the loser was simply left to perish... The black-maned lion pressed on until his twin sister Gorgen had to be executed for insubordination. The two adolescents fled the clan, but on the run their ways parted. They only found each other much later by a total coincidence. And now he was there, a mature adult, main guard and warrior of his pride family, with his sister being his best bro's mate, being a beloved uncle, and now having his soulmate at his side. Things sometimes take time.
The mane-y boys <3 Ghali, yes, another role-play character from a small game; leader of the Kiburi Pride and king of the Elephant Graveyard, way before the events from the original movie. Mosi, from an Alternative Universe/What If role play. Born in Scar's pride at the beginning of his reign. Cocky, very self-confident, loyal to his ruler, and a secret admirer of his daughter Roho. Ruki, guard in the Burning Blood Pride. (just noticed their names end with an "I")

Note to Ruki - I darkened his mane color and used the "dark fur color" on his ears instead of the nose color, his character sheet is also not up to date. (....need a new one........)

Ruki got a greatly deserved and much needed update on his character sheet :) There are some small changes, like the colors of the mane and the ear fluff, plus his mane is more "compact" now.

He gets the blue and red feathers when he is 5-6 years old, the green ones are with him since he was an adolescent. 3. Manesha, Damaja and Busara's son. 4. A random juvenile lion. 5. Smiling Ruki! A rare sight. 6. Sarabi with her second son, Henear. (btw, I was thinking about his father... I'm not a big fan on The Lion Guard and don't really want to put it into my "canon", but Henear's sire was a member of the Night Pride. The Tree of Life heard rumors about the dire situation in the Pridelands and send one of their members to check that out. It's just a draft, I don't have the whole story yet, but I think he won Sarabi's heart and tried to get help from the Tree of Life, which cost him his life.) 7. Ruki getting headbutted by Barbora. <3
