OKAY SO I HAVE A HEADCANON FOR RWBY VOLUME 7.

I can’t wait for the scene Ruby offers Weiss her cloak because she thought Weiss was cold, completing forgetting the fact that Weiss is actually used to the cold in Atlas. Weiss still takes the cloak anyway and enjoys having the comforting warmth and the scent of roses surrounding her.

So you guys know how it’s mentioned that Ruby’s hair will be more “playful” cause she’s gonna be playing with it? Now imagine this.

Scene 1: *Ruby messing with her hair while thinking*

Scene 2: *Qrow (or maybe Yang) ruffling her hair and it actually having effect*

Scene 3: *Ruby is being goofy and plays with her hair while making faces*

Random rwby vol8 theory (scroll if you don’t want to see kind of spoilers for chapter 1).

So you know how General Ironwood shot one of the council memebers without any regrets just because they came in asking about martial law and abandoning Mantel. Well, Qrow and Robyn have just been arrested for disobeying orders and the murder of Clover. Robyn definitely isn’t going to stay quiet about Mantel and Qrow “murdered” one of the ace ops. I don’t think he’s gonna have any qualms about killing either of them in cold blood when he meets them.

So if one of them does get killled by Ironwood, I called it

Ironwood's Army was the right choice

In RWBY, Grimm are attracted to negative emotions. So it stands to reason that Grimm are either repelled or uninterested in positive emotions like contentment and security.

Which is why huge cities could thrive alongside Grimm. The concentrated feeling of safety and security that comes from being protected in a city like Vale overpowers the concentrated negative emotion that one would expect where large numbers of people gather.

This is why the pageantry of the Huntsmen is so important. It gives people confidence, and generates more positive emption to deter Grimm.

Ironwood's Army Was The Right Choice

Therefore, Ironwood coming to Vale with his fleet is the best solution at that point in time because: Ironwood is playing to his strengths to help Ozpin.

The presence of the fleet would inspire confidence in people during the Vytal Festival.

Vale's government would be confident that Atlas is showing their support in Vale's favor. Which would further boost the feeling of security to counter any potential negative emotion due to uncertainty or mistrust.

Ironwood's Army Was The Right Choice

Additionally, Ironwood made the right decision to put his forces in control after the breach because:

People are panicking.

The ability of the Huntsmen to safeguard Vale's citizens is put into doubt.

Ironwood's fleet was essential in restoring order to the city, hence the citizens would have more confidence in Ironwood's fleet.

Ironwood's Army Was The Right Choice

Therefore, Ironwood made all the right moves during V3.

Tyrian's deafness

Carries over from his fight with Qrow to his fight with Clover, Qrow, and Robin.

Tyrian's Deafness

During that fight, Qrow landed the most hits on Tyrian because he uses mostly punches and kicks. Which Tyrian has problems picking out due to the lack of sound.

Tyrian's Deafness

Robyn lands the fewest hits because her arrows are like her. Annoying and loud.

Tyrian's Deafness

And Clover's weapon makes noise, but its a rope so Tyrian can't predict the weapon's flight path. Which is why Clover can constantly off-balance Tyrian.

Tyrian's Deafness

Funnily enough, Clover's weapon manages to capture Tyrian in their final fight.

Tyrian's Deafness

This started as a Tyrian Post but ended up with me recognizing Clover as the badass who handed Tyrian his ass.

Roman Torchwick's Semblance

I believe Roman has a semblance, an undiscovered one, but a semblance nevertheless.

That semblance involves technology. Namely, Roman has the ability to innately understand and use advanced technology without prior training or knowledge.

But because it's undiscovered, Roman's semblance is unpredictable and circumstantial.

Therefore, the more advanced the piece of technology, the faster Roman can master it. But less complex pieces of technology escape his understanding.

Firstly, Roman manages to pilot a Paladin, without any prior experience with the machine.

Roman also manages to fight very well against Sun Wukong and Ruby Rose. Both of them use very advanced and complex weapons.

He loses to Blake, however, who uses a simple sword.

This is why Roman could operate Ironwood's ship and jettison the Knights during the Fall of Beacon. Roman had an instinctive grasp of how Ironwood's tech worked, and this is due to his semblance.

But because this Semblance is untrained, it only works on very advanced technology, which is why Roman's fight record against the Huntsmen is hit and miss.

Therefore, it is possible that Roman may have a tech-based semblance that wasn't developed.

After Jacques insulted Ironwood one day, Major Leaf started appearing around the Schnee Manor.

Nothing Jacques does could stop the turtle, and in the weirdest places and during his most vulnerable moments, the turtle would be there. Staring impassively at Jacques the way all turtles do.

It only stops when Jacques apologizes to Ironwood. 24 hours later.

You can insult James all you want and he will not care. He knows he’s hated but he accepts that as the cost of protecting everyone. But insult Major Leaf and he will make your life living hell.

Imagine:

It's the final battle and things are looking extremely grim. Sun is having a moment of shock as things go to shit, and Neptune is beside Sun. Trying his best to get his friend to keep fighting.

"I'm a fool!" Sun says, "it's hopeless!" "You're not a fool!" Neptune says, "and I need you to get up!"

"How do you know?!" Sun says, "how do you know I haven't made the wrong choice?!"

"Because," Neptune says while he grabs Sun by his shirt collar, "my mama told me never to kiss a fool!"

Imagine:

Then Blake, Yang, and Velvet hug each other in lesbian bliss as RT adds another gay couple to the quota box.

Can you imagine the awkward cringe when Blake and Sun reunite? Their last moment together was back when blacksun was going strong with the implication they would pick things up when they see each other again. Something dumb like Sun hooking up with Velvet offscreen and becoming a bmblb wingman. Or him being single and accepting Blake moved on from him no questions asked and even though he had every right to still have feelings for her that aren't so easily forgotten. It's going to be a shitshow.

I imagine RT would just make it a throwaway gag during the final fight. Like Blake would see Sun with Velvet and they would just say 'good luck', and head off to fight Salem.

I have a feeling that RWBY is building toward an Avengers Endgame style thing.

Abusive Dad Defiance (ADD) -

In defiance of the trend of making father figures abusive, this is my slightly nicer headcanon(s) for 'Abusive' Fathers in all media.

Jacques Schnee;

Abusive Dad Defiance (ADD) -

Jacques was an honorable, good man in the past. Willow Schnee loved Jacques despite objections from her wealthy relations. Favoring the less wealthy man for his wit, loyalty, and a sense of duty matched only by Willow's father.

Jacques loved Willow and no matter what happened Jacques cherished the memory of his love for her. This is why Jacques lost his cool when Weiss accused him of marrying for money.

But while Jacques was a good man, he was changed due to the stress of running the Schnee Dust Corp and keeping the company together without the benefit of his Father-in-Law's strength as a Huntsman.

Despite Jacques's business acumen and genius, Jacques had to stoop to shadier means to keep the SDC afloat and Jacques could not stop the needs of the corporation from turning him into the cold man he was in the present day.

It had gotten to the point that while Jacques deeply loved his children, he still had to prioritize the corporation over his family.

While Jacques has no love for the Faunus, he sympathizes with their plight. But he is unable to do more to help because he needed the support of his financial backers who WERE Human Supremacists.

Willow Schnee feels extremely guilty for what she had to put Jacques through. This is why she drinks and lets Jacques do what he does. She feels that the Schnee name had destroyed a good man and thus she has no right to confront Jacques about his mistakes.

Jacques died knowing that he would never have a chance to tell his family the truth.

Why Jacques?

Your question, funnily enough, is the answer. Why Jacques? Why Jacques, indeed.

V7 and V8 puts a lot of focus on Jacques's impact in Atlas and on his family. But what is it about Jacques that makes him such a force to be reckoned with?

How did Jacques marry into the Schnee family? He doesn't have any powers or fighting skill. Neither is Jacques from a lineage of any note himself.

Subsequently, how did Jacques manage to dominate Willow, Winter, and Weiss to the extent RWBY states he did? What kind of man was Willow's father, who would force his more powerful daughter to submit to Jacques?

Ultimately, in Jacques's final moments, he proves himself to be just a normal guy involved in matters way over his head. When Jacques says;

"You lose! We both lose."

Jacques didn't gloat over Ironwood's betrayal. Jacques didn't throw a fit. Jacques accepted that he lost. That does not strike me as something Jacques, as he is established so far in the show, would do.

Then there is Jacques's final words;

"You're... You're going to open mine too, right?"

That hit me harder than Yang's death. Jacques really is out of his depth, and that is the last thing he is aware of before James blows Jacques to ash. It wasn't a demand. It was Jacques's last hope. Jacques knew he was going to die, but he was hoping he wouldn't.

In the end, Jacques was a Man who got caught up in events greater than himself. RWBY makes it seem like Jacques deserved it, I don't see why. Therefore, why Jacques? What did Jacques do to end up as he did. Exploring that question was interesting to me.

Why Rhodes did the right thing with Cinder.

Why Rhodes Did The Right Thing With Cinder.

Why did Rhodes leave Cinder alone? I believe Rhodes wanted to legally purchase Cinder's freedom so that Cinder wouldn't have to live as a runaway slave. That was why Rhodes was out on missions earning the money needed to free Cinder once and for all.

Why Rhodes Did The Right Thing With Cinder.

Why did Rhodes train Cinder instead of taking Cinder away directly? Because Rhodes wanted Cinder to have the skills she needed to make a living. The only skills Rhodes could give Cinder was his Huntsman skills so that Cinder could earn a living once she was free.

Why Rhodes Did The Right Thing With Cinder.

Why did Rhodes fight Cinder at the end? Two reasons, I think. One: Rhodes knew that if Cinder turned herself in, she had a better chance at some semblance of a normal life if she claimed self-defense or provocation before a Jury. Otherwise, Cinder would forever be a fugitive, and Rhodes knows firsthand what that's like since he is a Huntsman.

Why Rhodes Did The Right Thing With Cinder.

Second? Perhaps Rhodes knew that the die is cast, and if Cinder was to live as a fugitive, she had better be able to protect herself. Therefore, Rhodes gave his life to give Cinder the experience she needed to survive in Remnant.

Why Rhodes Did The Right Thing With Cinder.

Ultimately, Rhodes had everything planned out. It just wasn't meant to be.

Why Rhodes Did The Right Thing With Cinder.

I wonder if Robyn Hill can use her truth semblance on herself.

How ironic is it that because of her Semblance, everyone she touches will always be more honest than she could ever be?

Additionally, when Robyn uses her semblance, would the truth be coloured by Robyn's biases?

Okay so you know how mercury is an element and everything, I just had this idea that though mercury doesn’t have a lot of things things going on, I mean besides the whole assassin thing, a cool small character trait would be that he is great with chemicals, like he can easily make a bomb because of chemical reactions, Like think of that one scene in archer in the swamp with the crocodile, and that’s just with limited resources. At the very least he is good with poison, cause mercury poisoning, plus he’s an assassin so it fits more, the reason he has never brought it up is because as he would say “no one asked” but in reality he kept it a secret just to be annoying.
