thinking about my field agent player au... i can't decide whether to give them a white fedora to match carmen or their iconic white ballcap... or both. help.

so i had a thought yesterday... carmen sandiego/tmnt community what do we think

not exactly a venn diagram like i promised, but i highlighted everything all three of them have in common. enjoy!

okay, so, i might be looking too much into this, but hear me out.

in s1ep1 of carmen sandiego (2019), when carmen's recounting her backstory to gray, she talks about letting her friends tag along to greet cookie booker by throwing water balloons at her. there are 5 of them in their little criminal friend group (or as i like to call them, the crimesters™), and they throw red water balloons. they throw five red water balloons at cookie booker. and ms booker is obviously a pretty important person in vile, as she is the bookkeeper and she delivers the hard drive.

and there are five official team red members. and they go against vile. using the hard drive. the water balloons represent the future team red. oh my god

maybe im just tired and making things up, but if this is the case then that would be some amazing foreshadowing

player appreciation week!!

i dont know if ill manage to do all the days, but i want to post the days ive managed to do (day 1 and day 2). dont expect any more player days, and certainly dont expect any posts this/next week, apologies haha

player appreciation week day 2!!

player is the biggest mama's kid ever and you can pry this hc from my cold, dead hands. they love her so much whih means they are absolutely terrible at lying to her. their mum is just genuinely curious about what theyre doing on their computer all the time and player doesnt exactly want to tell her that they're helping a superthief commit crime.

player appreciation week day 3: homeschool!!

okay so i know it was said in the last post that player doesnt get homework, but that was not what i meant to say haha. i wanted to say they didnt have homework that week, but usually their mom does give them (very little) homework. also player is bad at maths and hates triangles bc i hate triangles too and its MY comfort caharcter so i get to project my struggles onto them

i keep adding stuff to my player design but i cant help it 😭 the show made them the most boring ass teenager ever whrn they couldve made them a weird scene kid with glasses/braces/etc. anyway this time im not sure abt the braces so thats why im enlisting the help of the people :3

my cs designs are the dictionary definition of an animator's worst nightmare and i am well aware of that :)

someone should write a carmen sandiego fic where everything takes place as normal except for the fact that carmens mom is a part of team red from the start.

imagine her scolding carmen for her lack of self-preservation during missions because she doesn't want to lose her daughter again. her never making fun of, in fact actively encouraging, zack's hunger because it just means she gets to cook more and he always gushes about how good her food is. her listening to ivy talk about a new upgrade for red drone she's been wanting to install despite her not understanding anything the red head says. her making sure player is taking care of themself and assuring them that the world isn't going to end if they take a break, because they're just a kid. they're all just kids that need a team mother figure. she doesn't get her own orphanage like she does in the actual series, but who needs an orphanage when you've got dumbass globetrotter children right here?

her being awkward co-parents with shadowsan because while yeah, he didn't actually kill her husband, he was originally the one sent to get a hit on him and the one who burnt his house down + the one who brought her daughter to an island of isolated criminals. she understands he's changrd but she's still... iffy, around him.

i would write this fic myself if i had the time, skills and motivation. unfortunately i have none of them.

off topic but uh. im writing a carmen sandiego fanfiction. specifically a 'the characters react to the show' fanfic. maybe you should check it out :] (im shit at advertising)

Exactly! Operation SV was such a traumatic experience for everyone involved, and everyone there was mostly of age - by that i mean at least 18-19. You know who were under that age though? Keegan (16-17) and Ajax (17-18). Imagine going through three days straight of fighting, having to kill people with your bare hands, having to hide under dead soldiers' bodies, while being 16-18. Not to mention, they would have to have been in the military at least some time before that to qualify for that mission. I rarely see anyone talking about even if it would add a lot of depth to the Ghosts, especially Keegan and Ajax. After all, Logan and Hesh were similar ages to them when ODIN struck, something else that was incredibly traumatic to experience at their ages. It could be a great way for the four/three of them to bond.

Sorry for the rambling, but Operation SV and Keegan canonically being the youngest Ghost before the Walker brothers joined is one of my favourite parts of the Ghosts lore.

random 2 am though but what did logan wear before elias handed his mask down to him. like we know logan only got the iconic mask AFTER elias died (i think?? im not sure) so what did he do before that. did he just paint his face like hesh. if so what design did he have

is that why hesh painted his face instead of wearing a mask? because he had no mask??
