On Kaworu, Shinji and the end of all cycles (interpreting Kaworu’s instrumentality sequence)
One of my favorite things among all that Shin Eva gave us is closure for Kaworu. And what closure it was!! Certainly a lot to take in, within an incredibly eventful portion of the movie too, but we’ve never been presented with a greater, clearer understanding of him as we have thanks to his instrumentality sequence.
So, glad and impressed by this piece of writing and presentation as I’ve been this whole time, I’m gonna go through the sequence’s most prominent bits and review what it all means for Kaworu’s character (and the relationship to Shinji that’s so, so primordial to him). Please note that I’ll try to follow the general order, but might need to jump a bit between parts of the sequence for clarity.

hey gl!charlie was literally given brain implants by showfall that his glasses connect to as his mind control device so.
fucked up that he probably physically wouldn't be able to leave if he TRIED. however this is another win for the "gl!charlie grew up at showfall" truthers because he HAS to have been there for a really long time, especially because (as it stands so far) he's the only one with proper brain implants and not just an accessory that's fucking with his brain. squiggles really didn't lie showfall LOVES his ass
to add an additional layer of fucked up (meta addition): his accessory isn't JUST an article of clothing he can live without, like sneeg's hat. those are! his fucking GLASSES! and fun fact about actual real life charlie slimecicle, he is Worse Than Legally Blind without glasses or contacts! so if ever gl!charlie removed his glasses to escape the mind control, he would be at an extreme disadvantage when it comes to the "escaping showfall" bit! so!

Made this mr soapy papercraft from crazed desperation. I have no idea why I was so attached to this 3D box of detergent years ago but the mind works in wonderful ways so who am I to judge myself. Anyways there is no HD images of this box on the internet so I resorted to using roblox studio and getting the textures from there.. but it turns out older models can still have texture IDs even when the ID link is broken. Kinda like a ghost. So I ended up taking the best quality zoomed in screenshots I could BUT the nutrition label on the back was different in the only model of the thing I could find so I ended up having to go onto the version of the roblox laundromat game left alive and take a screenshot of the back there. After cleaning it up I think it looks good. Now finally (after some adjustments) I present to you the mr soapy papercraft. I added both one with the tabs and one without just in case. Feel free to make one I guess. I think it’s safe to say I’m the #1 fan of this box of detergent. Also if you revisit pinewood laundromat on roblox be warned that there is a skibidi toilet in the bathrooms. I have no idea why or when it was added and everything else in the game is unchanged. I am doing mad.
finally finished!! i've never made something like this before and it took a very long time but it was great getting a chance to test my art skills. (i this say full well knowing i just wanted to draw my favorite guys a million times). hope you enjoy :)
