Random world-building headcanons:

This au works like the X-men's universe, powers are real and those who have powers are considered mutants

There's a lot of stigma (ranging from concern of safety to wanting every mutant incarcerated or dead) regarding being a mutant, so most people choose to hide their powers

Every type of mutation requires a different set of affected genes

Also for someone to be a mutant, they need at least one of their parents' side of the family to carry those genes

Mutations can be activated in the womb, straight from the womb, in early childhood, as a consequence of puberty or through intense stress and trauma. Most commonly they appear in a person's late teens, almost never later in adulthood

Superheroes! There are superheroes

Well not many consider themselves superheroes actually

The Coon, Fastpass, Captain Diabetes, Super Craig and Wonder Tweek are public superheroes which means that their identity is known to the public, they go on interviews and frequently interact with fans.

Toolshed, Human Kite and Mosquito aren't well known but they're not hidden either. They rarely interact with the public.

Mysterion, Call Girl and Doctor Timothy are completly underground. Mysterion was active in the past, when they were 10 and he was playing superhero, then he went awol, no one knows if he's back or not. Doctor Timothy and Call Girl have never placed themselves on the map.

Call Girl and Toolshed don't consider themselves superheroes

Professor Chaos is still a villain. He never really had a choice ;)

More on psychic Kyle because i have no self control

He was /really/ in denial about having powers like he was aware mutations produced powers and psychic abilities weren't that far of a stretch but the amount of pretenders made him skeptical it could ever happen

Basically gaslighting himself

Because Kyle wasn't using his powers consciously they were triggered by his emotions, any kind of negative or strong emotion

Those floating objects? That mysteriously appeared around him everytime he was a little upset or distracted? Perfectly normal definitely nothing to worry about yep ✓

Flickering lights were a frequent occurrence too

He used to do a thing where he would hear something being said by a person, then repeat that information to the person at a later date and they wouldn't have a clue how in the hell he knew that. Turns out he was hearing people's thoughts so good he thought they were talking to him

*kyle hears something* *kyle casually mentions that something to the person* "What? How do you know that?" "You told me??????" <- repeat that times a hundred

With all these paranormal phenomenons happening to him, Kyle was becoming increasingly more anxious. And paranoid.

Somehow his parents never noticed any of this because this is south park and the adults are useless

His close friends did notice

Stan tried to get Kyle to talk to him many times and miserably failed, Cartman desperately wanted to "expose" him and Kenny gave him a one off lecture about just dealing with whatever curse you got stuck with. Kyle listened to Kenny

5 years later, at 15, he was finally able to admit to himself that maybe he wasn't regular

That's the time he picked up his Human Kite suit again

What are Wendy’s actual superpowers?

So i wanted the keep the aspect of her powers revolving around social media while having them be possible as an actual mutation, also i wanted her powers to be useful lmao

Their mind is a computer. Not in the sense that its literally a computer, they have a flesh brain, but it works exactly like a computer, for example memory/storing information, processing information, receiving input and giving appropriate output etc. This doesent mean they have super intelligence

She has an algorithmic way of thinking, which gives her a natural understanding of any advanced piece of technology, it's almost like she can communicate with machines, but its pure talent. Also writing this made me realize that her power is being the perfect programmer with extra steps lmaoooo

And another cool thing about her is that she can encrypt her mind, wether that is the whole thing or specific memories, this makes them immune to mind readers

Wendy spends most of her time browsing the internet, gathering information and hacking whenever needed. They keep in contact with some of the superheroes and act as an information source and news anchor, bringing the latest criminal activity to them like its hot bread. This was not always the case, as they have used their powers only for self interest and not for the greater good, which is why they dont consider themselves a superhero. She does have a persona tho

All I see know is Cartman trying to ask her the type of stuff one would ask a computer and her trying to explain that she isn’t a computer.

2nd If they played Superheroes as kids, how do they not know each other's identities? Did they forget ?

2. I'mma be honest with you chief i did Not think of that 🤣🤣🤣. Super Craig, Wonder Tweek, Fast Pass, Coon and Captain Diabetes will be excluded from this conversation since they are public and everyone knows who they are

So everyone's journey to discovering their powers and accepting that they are a mutant has been different, and they entered the superhero business at different times. They're older, their costumes are different and they dont expect their friends to actually be said heroes. And in real life they're not open about having powers

Some dont even show themselves among other heroes, like Call Girl and Doctor Timothy, instead they pull strings from far away. No one knows where Mysterion is or if he's still active

3. They do! They have ways of contacting each other

SC and WT are almost always together on the battlefield, Fast Pass and Capt Diabetes are eager to help if called upon

All the night superheroes work alone but if they meet during the same battle they will help eachother.

Coon works alone and often snakes wins from everyone else=)) so does FastPass sometimes but they forgive him

If they have to deal with too many enemies or someone that's too dangerous to deal with individually, they will go as a group
