Alright. I watched into the spider verse and then immediately made this :D Lore under the cut! :D
Spider, as they're known, comes from a boring world very similar to ours where spiderman is a story, just a comic character whose been in many movies and shows. However, when they're bitten by a random spider before going to bed, they wake up on the roof of a random city in Queens in the outfit they're seen in now. And with spider powers for some reason. huh. No one knows who Spider is, how old they are, what they look like without the mask or what gender they are. Spider does not care that no one knows any of this and keeps it that way.
Feeling bad about straight up stealing Spidermans identity, even though he wasn't real in their world, they just call themselves Spider although the public have given them some other names much to their surprise. Spider uses any pronouns, although when referring to themselves they usually stick to they/them and he/him. I love them guys. He's so silly-
