Have the people sending you asks about Axis not being a homophobe actually read the comic? Because he clearly used gay as an insult several times (BUT THAT´S ONLY BECAUSE HE`S IN SELF DENIAL!). When I´m not mistaken the wrap up states that Axis fled home because he was gay and his homecountry was homophobic. Why in the world would he deny being gay later on, if that was the reason he fled? It just makes no sense.
I think Axis fled his home country because he just didn’t want to be a nobel anymore and he can’t go back because now he’s triple gay. Reed left his home country cause he’s apparently gay as fuck.
Who, if they were afraid of losing their beloved, would try to rectify the situation by prostituting themselves behind that loved one’s back? NOBODY, THAT’S WHO. I would have believed it if Linneus chose to become a courtesan because staying home was his greatest priority. You know, if he simply didn’t want to leave the Teahouse no matter what. He’d already lost one home so it’s even quite believable that Linneus might have strong feelings about being completely uprooted again. Becoming a prostitute for Atros makes no fucking sense and I’m so disappointed with this kind of stupid, moronic writing! It’s like it has to be super romantic so of course he’s doing it for love and no other reason! Well, all you accomplish by going for that extra bit of drama is to make your character look like a complete idiot who can’t figure out that cheating might be a teensy bit counterproductive in saving a romantic relationship. Ugh. Writing tip: don’t ever write anything like this thing. Ever. Let’s discuss this, please, manifestoonmoralmansex?
Linneus and Atros' summary: PART 1
Ok so this is late (Hey! It’s like a Teahouse tradition!) AND it’s only part 1.
So here’s the deal. I’ve been struggling with how to do Linneus and Atros’ story and this is the conclusion I’ve come to, it’s going to take more than one part. It may take only two, it may take three. Honestly, their stuff is so fucking dense that realistically, the post for them alone would be forever long. So I’m chopping it up.
For this part though, it’s ALL BACK STORY. By the end of this, you’ll get why Atros is so fucked up in the head. Expect at least one more post tomorrow, possibly more.

No need to thank me, though I'm glad too that others are picking up on this as well. :) It's played for laughs, which I think disguises it a bit for readers who aren't thinking critically, but sexual assault isn't something to laugh about. Just ew.

Oh my God, I love you! It is so contradictory, muddled, and messed up and you just verbalized all my rage perfectly!
Also, does Atros' storyline eerily remind anyone else of Rhys'? Like, "should we make every new father abandon their lover because they just need to be a good dad? WHY NOT! :D" The writing is just repeating itself now and, at the same time, the story is running way too long.
At least it’s not as bad as the running theme, “forced sexual relations will make your sexuality bloom.”
