What Fear would the dust bowl fall under?
I started thinking about it and now I can't stop...
Read more for a brief explanation on what the dust bowl is! (for those who aren't very familiar)
The dust bowl was a time in the 1920-30s where a few of the southern US states blew away (especially Oklahoma). Over farming weakened the topsoil which was then picked up by the wind and blown around in huge storms that would settle like snow drifts. A lot of people and animals died because of dust inhalation and thousands of people lost their homes. It was also a major factor in contributing to the collapse of the US economy at the time. It's actually pretty cool, you should look it up.

time to combine two of my fixations rq
look me dead in the eyes and tell me that Atsushi Nakajima wouldn’t serve The Vast.
i can see him loving the wide open space of the sky or the sea or space, absolutely nothing there but his god as he’s constantly floating or free falling, it’s exhilarating and makes his heart pound and it’s pure ecstasy to him. there is no past to haunt him, no need to keep fighting to be good, no need to constantly prove himself, no incessant worry that he’s not enough. he doesn’t have to do anything, or fight anyone, or meet some impossibly high expectation set for him. he can simply be and exist. it’s just him and his god. he’s not sure where he ends and his god begins, and he doesn’t think he cares anyway, he just knows he is utterly surrounded by his god and that in the middle of its infinite vastness, he is insignificant and meaningless. compared to his god, the meager time span of his life is incomparable. it means nothing. he means nothing, and he relishes in it. allows himself to just let go.
just finished season 3 of The Magnus Archives.
i am in love and unwell and chemically rewritten and emotionally eviscerated.
this podcast is The Corruption and I am Jane Prentiss. it consumes my every waking thought now, i’m drawing art for it, plotting fics, creating outfits based on the characters/entities, designing crochet pieces for it.

TMAGP: “Like colors, but if colors hated me. And if they didn’t know what color they are. And also didn’t know what colors are. But the colors definitely still hate me.”
idk if this is accurate cause i only just finished TMAGP 8 but that’s the vibe im getting.
VAGUE TMAGP SPOILERS UNDER THE CUT
cause ik The Fears technically aren’t supposed to exist in this world, but it’s blatantly obvious that they do, at least to a certain extent.
but they seem to be very muddled together. in TMA, it was generally pretty clear cut which statement belonged to which Fear and in the few statements where they would overlap, it usually wasn’t more than 2 Fears cooperating at once.
but in TMAGP, it’s almost like there’s multiple Fears trying to coexist in one case file and the lines between them are very blurred together. like they aren’t as… refined as they were in TMA. (probably due to The Banishing as i’m calling it imo.)
in TMA, they were 14 dollops of different colored paint neatly organized on a paint palette and would occasionally be mixed together to obtain a certain hue, while still being recognizable.
in TMAGP, these 14 dollops of different colored paint have all been swirled and mixed together so much that the original colors used are just barely distinguishable.
and the palette is cracked. and decaying. and staining your hand that tarnished-cheap-metal-green even thought the palette is wooden.
and the colors still hate you.
I think The Entities are one of the funniest concepts as things that a fandom classify themselves as. Because instead of going "Here's my personality!" Or "Here's what I'd be like on a group project!" It's instead "Here's all of my deepest fears and insecurities :D"
And instead of just being part of a certain faction or school, your basically part of a cult that worships a particular aspect of the personification of human fear.
