Hnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng have some fanart for a book series I'm in love with called The Unwanteds. It is a VERY good series and I highly recommend it! The author is Lisa McMann this is technically spoilers for books two and three, in a really abstract way, hahah y'all can kill me later Marcus Today and Alexander Stowe belong Lisa McMann! Their design is half stoat, half maine coon. Stoat because Stowe, and maine coon to exentuate the fur differences between the two.
Aarons fur is cut as is standard, while alex grows it out. This is carried over in how their fur is shaped, which makes it. uh. cool
im not completely proud of this, but its much better than the rushed sheet i had before.

thinking about aaron stowe cooking. thinking about how little food there was in quill. thinking about how now he doesn't have to worry about that and he can experiment with food all he wants. thinking about how food is his way to express his creativity. thinking about when he took cooking classes. thinking about how he created the favored farm to make food better. thinking about how the restorers were founded on the promise of food. thinking about how he can just make whatever he wants and put whatever he wants together because it's not about following instructions like his life has always been. thinking about how kaylee's world probably has wildly different food from theirs and how exciting it is that he could potentially recreate a tiny piece of her life for her, so far away from home. thinking about how he can cook for fifer and thisbe and give them childhood meals that he didn't get to have. thinking about how maybe he can argue that machines aren't creativity, they're intelligence, but how there are literally cooking classes that rely on creativity. aaron stowe cooking! thank you for your time
BOO, Unwanteds jumpscare!!! I draw these stupid anthro designs a LOT but I usually don't post them (because it's usually just one of the twins sitting there).
If you're unfamiliar, I have anthroified the characters to make them easier and more fun for me to draw, and I try to base the characters on animal species that make sense. The Stowes are all Stoats, for obvious reasons, mixed with Maine Coon. (it mentions Alex's hair grows out a lot, so what better than the furriest cat breed?)

I wish people in the book acknowledged how big of an influence Justine was on him :( Like not only is he in a cult, the cult leader also personally trained him and considered him for a successor (she and her brother are pallas cats, btw!)

It's been a long time since ive read the first book of quests, but from what I remember, if Alex wasn't in a kids book he would be slamming back shots every night. Poor guys fucking depressed. On the other side, I headcannon Aaron as being heavily adverse to drinking, which is kinda funny because he's literally killed people.
