I love one (1) cast.
okay but no joke the moment that was the most wholesome in this ep is when mac and dee stay sitting and say they’re not going because dennis ”used the words of jimmy buffet to promote discrimination” and the gang gets super bummed out and say ”there’s no point going if we’re not all gonna go” and then decide to actually solve the problem so they can all have a good time because they actually do want to spend time together
dennis refusing to go to the concert is so telling of how he really feels about mac and dee. they’re the two people dennis claims to “””””hate”””””” the most and still he refuses to go have fun without them. there’s just so much dissonance between what dennis says and what he does and how he really feels
every member of the gang is horribly entangled in each other’s lives and codependent to some degree, and no matter how much dennis tries to present himself as the sane one who could do so much better than the gang, he’s the most dependent of them all
