not to post a hot take on main but i think sometimes people really forget that forms of paganism are indigenous european religions. that people carry these religions and traditions in their cultures, in their families, in their very blood, and that christianization forced them out of their customs or to practice in secret. i see a lot of energy put towards not appropriating cultures, which i absolutely agree with, and many european pagan religions are open (although they may have closed aspects) but that doesn’t mean they don’t come with their own cultural notions of how to interact with the divine. not just gods! local spirits and ancestors too! i see a lot of people who don’t seem to approach that kind of stuff despite it being a core feature of pagan religions, perhaps because they just don’t know or don’t have the cultural context for it. it really disappoints me because it feels a bit disrespectful to not acknowledge the culture. im jewish, and i would expect any convert to spend time learning our theology and culture, so i have a bit of a gripe that people don’t seem to apply the same to paganism, regardless of if its open or not. i want to be clear as well that i am not advocating that you have to be a specific ethnicity; these religions are open and widespread even within their own times, and to assert otherwise would be false. i simply wish there was a little more energy towards active engagement with whatever culture you’re converting into if you’re not a member of that culture. it feels a little weird to me sometimes that people will be actively worshipping in a specific cultural context and seem to treat it as if it’s entirely in the past, as if these cultures didn’t shape the ones we have now and influence them to this day. acknowledging that is important. that’s all. hops off my soapbox
Proship/proshipper means pedophile. It has always meant pedophile. I’ve been here long enough to remember the emergence of this term. It was made specifically to replace the acronyms MAP and NOMAP because people started to catch on to the fact that they also meant pedophile. Whoever told you it was about freedom of expression or ship wars or whatever bullshit was lying to you. It’s specifically another pretty little term that’s just vague enough for pedophiles and other creepy people to rally under publicly. That’s it.

Neurodiverget is NOT a diagnosis. It's an umbrella term encompassing many disorders/conditions.
Neurodivergent is NOT only autism and ADHD.
Neurodivergent does NOT mean that all ND people know what it's like to be autistic or ADHD or even have autism or ADHD experiences.
Neurodivergent also does NOT mean that everyone has ADHD or Autism symptoms/traits.
If you are talking solely about an ADHD or Autism symptom or trait or thing and how other people that DON'T have either of those tend to not understand, it is NOT "NT vs ND". It is ADHD/Autism vs everyone else who doesn't have ADHD/Autism.
People who don't have ADHD, people who don't have Autism, can still be ND and not ever experience what it's like to be autistic or ADHD because they DON'T have those disorders/conditions.
