When I listened to The Magnus Archives, I wanted to hear that everyone was doing well. Listening to The Magnus Protocol makes me feel like a mischievous gremlin pounding on the table, demanding drama, infighting, gruesome deaths and chaos

PAUSE- when it mentions in ep 26 that it’s name is AN Archivist, does this imply there’s more than one? maybe i’m missing something but uh yeah crap

I vividly remember one time trying to stay warmed up on the field for a race, and this group of guys were walking slowly and diagonally across the field. They could see us, and they knew we needed to warm up, and the team captain was like, "Okay, run them over. They move or they don't."

Also! Just a fun little transcript thing: Celia was staring out a window when Sam asked if she was alright, and she felt like they were being watched. During the moment of quiet, Sam goes to the same window. We might not be the only ones watching them!
the really long silent pause at the end of the episode when celia is putting jack down is so uncomfortable it works so well at making the audience aware of how much they’re intruding on a private situation, how they Shouldn’t Be There but they keep watching anyway. it’s not even the most tense or gory or explicitly horrific part of the episode, it’s just a moment, but it my me on edge more than anything else it’s so well done
Sam specifically asked Gwen about the Magnus Institute in episode 1, and she said she hadn’t heard of it until the case they both listened to. I don’t recall if there was a glitch there, but I don’t *think* there was

Ok, I really don’t have much on this one.
I really liked the concept of the main character being a super successful runner while their family works to exhaustion at Tesco’s. I really didn’t like when the horror of the premise wasn’t centered around that but instead on dropping a massive hint to Alice. And to be fair to Protocol, a lot of Archives statements do this too and it also feels clunky there. I also feel like a bit more specific sporting detail would have helped this story stand out.

Please dear sweet god can SOMEBODY say the words Magnus and Institute back to back in the same sentence, clearly, in front of Gwen? It is starting to feel like plot convenience at this point.
Helen 🤨👀👀👀 ? Helen?! Is she like the magnus archives Helen bc that Helen did not survive, hence the worlds balanced? Or is it depowered (or powered 🫣) Archives Helen? I still love her. Would be very interested to see her narrative function in this story since she was such a well-written foil to Jon in Archives.
Dawwwwwww Sam and Celia flirting was so cute. I’m sure the archivist thinks so as well 😊
