YES A MALE READER WHO DOES TRACKKK
Sae Itoshi x Injured! Male reader ||All the Bandaids In The World||

Requests are back! <3 Fem aligned DNI
Note: Reader is a little blunt in this one
"(m/n)...what the fuck did you do?" Sae looked down at you sitting on the floor of your shared penthouse. "I fell down the stairs" you stated, maintaining with eye contact with the older Itoshi.
This was 3rd time that he has found you at the bottom on the stairs this week either sitting or just laying on the floor sprawled out like a starfish.
Sae sighs as he picks your body up from the wooden floor. "I'm not hurt Sae" you assured him, but didn't fight against his hold on you. "I still have to make sure (m/n)" Sae set you down on a couch and went off to grab something.
You decided to just lay down and not move until your red headed boyfriend came back.
Sae came back with a first aid kit in hand and with an ice pack. "Are you gonna sit up or are you just gonna lay there hun?" Sae asked. "I'm too tired to sit up Sae..." you mumbled into the pillow, but loud enough for Sae to hear. "Alright then" Sae sighed as he began to check your body for any bruises or any other injuries.
Everything was fine until Sae reached your legs, "(m/n), care to explain all these bruises and cuts on your legs?" Sae placed a hand on one of your bruises. You visibly flinched at the action.
"I spiked myself during hurdle training..." you explain, with your face still stuffed with the pillow you were holding to your face. "And what about the bruises on your lower back?" Sae questioned, still not satisfied with your answer. "High jump...I hit the bar a lot yesterday"
Sae decided to not press any further and began to treat the cuts and bruises. "Hun you're supposed to tell me when you're injured or just treat them yourself" this wasn't the first time that Sae has had to find out the hard way that you were injured.
One time, you sprained your ankle, but didn't tell Sae for about a week and a half. He only found out because, when he decided to have a makeout session with you, he was backing you up into a wall and heard a quiet "ow" from you. He asked you if you were injured and you just said that you sprained your ankle.
He scolded you for an hour instead of kissing you for an hour </3
"Hun..you're gonna cost me all of the bandaids in the store if you keep this up" Sae disinfected all of the cuts of your legs. You only hummed and finally sat up. "I want cuddles Sae" you pulled out your arms and made your hands do grabby motions.
Who was Sae to deny his injured boyfriend?
Sae pushed the med kit away and climbed onto the couch with you. "Thank you Sae...for taking care of me.." you cuddled into his chest and dozed off. "Of course hun" Sae held you close and let himself slowly succumb to sleep himself.
YUUUUUH I ACTUALLY GOT 2 UPDATES IN THIS WEEK 😎

tbh back when I was a runner, when ppl got in your way....I'm just saying him running the statement person over was so real
I vividly remember one time trying to stay warmed up on the field for a race, and this group of guys were walking slowly and diagonally across the field. They could see us, and they knew we needed to warm up, and the team captain was like, "Okay, run them over. They move or they don't."
I’m super curious, do yall play or used to play any sports???
Idk who the fuck this ZAP person is but my boyfriend and I WILL get your ass someday.

my favorite part of the olympics so far was Tara Davis walking up in cowboy boots and a cowboy hat and dancing as she was introduced for the long jump shes an ICON and I LOVE HER
Winter Training
I’m officially back at college for winter training and my week of practices can be summed up in the following statement:
I’m cold.
In my defense I’ve never run in the winter before. We’ve been running on the roads for the past couple days because the track is still snowy and the only reason I’m still hanging in there is because I bring a box of tissues to practice with me. I can’t feel my legs and my nose runs constantly because I breathe through my nose when I run.
That doesn’t mean I’m not enjoying training though. The only day struggled was with 800m repeats (and I always struggle with those). Yesterday we ran 150m (my favorite distance) and I was the only person on the team happy to be out there. I know tomorrow will be another hard distance day, but I’m staying strong.
In other news, my roommate from last semester is moving to a new hall to be closer to her friends, and I will be rooming with the best runner on the team next semester. I really respect her a lot and I think we have a lot in common, so maybe rooming with her will help motivate me even more.
New PR- 400m
On days where everything seems to suck, it’s nice to have something good to push you forward. I broke my previous PR (2min 42sec) today while doing 400m repeats- my new PR is 2min 37sec.
I know that’s not a crazy improvement, but its what I needed today <3
Important Summer Training Tips
Your runs don’t have to be fast to be helpful.
Stringing together a bunch of medium-paced average runs is more effective than going all out a few times a week (only to be too tired/sore to run that pace again), especially when you’re focusing on increasing your mileage.
If you’re able to choose between sleep and running, do your run later and get more sleep. It’s not hardcore to skip sleep, it’s unproductive. Your body needs it to absorb the training.
Don’t do AB workouts, do CORE workouts. Ab = abdominals only. Core = abdominals, obliques, glutes, pelvis, lower back. Purpose of working out just your abs = vanity. Purpose of working out your entire core = getting functionally strong to run faster.
Do runs on grass and trails for the soft surfaces (and because in the winter you’ll miss the color green, believe me), but don’t worry about your pace. The terrain will naturally slow you down, but it will also force you to work different muscles which will strengthen your core WHILE YOU RUN (why core? see above).
Don’t just hydrate with water. Replace the electrolytes you lose when you sweat with gatorade or powerade, or if that’s too sweet for you, dilute it with water or invest in Nuun or Skratch or a similar product.
Most most most importantly…ENJOY YOURSELF. Setting only outcome-based goals (”win state”; “break 19″; “take a minute off my PR”) drains the joy out of the sport that you love very quickly. Remember that. Set another, more important goal: to enjoy the process. To love the sport more in July than you did in June, and to love it still more in August. Actively cultivate your passion, and let the rest take care of itself.
A triumph of human will against all odds.
A world away from her wartorn country of Ukraine, Yaroslava Mahuchikh thrilled the crowd on her way to setting a WL of 2 metres in the high jump (Kipkeinoclassic, Saturday May 13 2023).
Game recognize game.

A moment of conviviality between John Carlos and Charles Asati who was part of the quartet that won 4×400m relay gold at the 1972 Munich Olympics (Safari Park Hotel, May 12 2023).
John Carlos he of the Mexico podium protest was in town for the 4th edition of the Absa KipKeinoClassic. Carlos who last visited in the 1970s, reminisced especially on his friendship with Ben Jipcho who passed away in 2020. Carlos remembered the 1972 Olympic silver medalist in the 3000 metres steeplechase as an inquisitive and cultured man with whom he enjoyed an easy rapport.

Peter Norman, Tommie Smith, and John Carlos (medal ceremony for the 200m, 1968 Mexico Olympic Games in Mexico City.
Celebrations galore.

June 2nd 2023. Reports emerge that the 1500m gang have been spotted in Florence Italy, where it's said that they smashed and then celebrated the new 1500m WR in style.

July 21st 2023. The gang arrive in Monaco to take a run at the mile record, with stunning results all round. Celebrations follow. Also, at the back there with his thumbs up, is that a javelin thrower that's gatecrashed a 1500m gang party? Julian Weber, is that you? I ask ya!
The athletes were mere pawns of a system.

Heidi Krieger, the 1986 European women's shot put champion and victim of a systematic performance enhancing programme.
A lot has been said of the seemingly unbreakable women's 400 metre and 800 metre world records, records which were set by Eastern bloc athletes some of whom like shot putter Heidi Krieger fessed up to being systematically fed anabolic steroids by East German officials from the age of 16.
In fact, as early as the age of 18, Krieger began developing visibly male characteristics. Eventually, years of enforced doping with what coaches claimed were "vitamins" left Heidi with little choice but to undergo gender reassignment surgery in 1997 because steroids had literally turned Heidi into a man.

Heidi Krieger now Andreas after gender reassignment surgery.
And while some East German athletes are on record as having complained to their handlers that they weren't receiving the latest in steroid enhancers, the very fact that the Stasi or the dreaded Ministry for State Security kept meticulous records on which athletes in the former East Germany were taking steroids and which steroids they were taking, shows you that this was not just a state sponsored programme, but that threats may have been held over athletes to keep them complaint with various performance enhancing programmes.

Sorry for slacking off. I'm less motivated to post when I don't have good pictures or any pictures to post. I'm going to try harder to remember to capture the moment.
