The lair was quite the spectacle, becoming more and more festive as Christmas approached. Mikey, with the help of Donnie, strung various forms of Christmas lights around the living area and all the way towards the back, down the hall, infiltrating Master Splinter’s meditation room.
Raph and Leo were busy hanging Santa, snowmen, and gnome decorations throughout the lair. Including hanging mistletoe above the entrance to the lair and the kitchen. When you entered your eyes fixed upon the colorful row of stockings that were hung on the far wall. Four of which you couldn’t help but notice were color coordinated to match each respective turtle’s mask.
Your’s, Master Splinter’s and April’s made up the right side of the line. While Casey’s seemed to straggle a bit behind Raph’s. Your lips quirked up into a smile as your eyes followed a string of very 80’s blinking lights that led to the kitchen. You instantly stopped walking the moment your gaze locked on the mistletoe, neatly placed at the top of the doorframe. Holding onto the paper bags in your arms a little tighter, you wondered if you would be indeed feeling a certain turtle’s lips on yours. Lips that you had been longing for for some time now.
“Well, are ya gonna step under it?” Raph said gruffly as he stepped in front of you, his eyes sparkling with anticipation as he motioned to the green mistletoe, causing you to jump.
Your cheeks instantly warmed as you shook your head. “No, big guy, I’m just fine right here. Hate to disappoint you.” You laughed.
Raph’s eager face fell in utter defeat. “Fine.” He sighed, shrugging his large shoulders.
“Raph! Bro! You can’t be all obvious like that!” Mikey chuckled, walking past you. “Besides, she’s saving that kiss for me! Right, Angelcakes?” He grinned, slowly turning around to face you, puckering his lips.
You couldn’t help, but laugh as you shook your head. You had known the guys for about a year now and their flirting seemed to never cease. Not that you were complaining. Oh, far from it! You just had your heart set on one barra in particular.
“Hey, Y/N!” Leo shouted as he came around the corner. Your heart beat hard against your ribs as you took in the mountain of muscle coming towards you. “You’re early!” He grinned, his ocean blue eyes flicking to the bags in your arms. “Is that…?”
You raised your eyebrows. “Oh! Yeah! I thought they’d be sold out by now, but I was actually able to find several different types of gingerbread house kits and I even scored one for Master Splinter!”
“Sweet!” Mikey gripped the edge of one of the paper bags and peeked in.
“Here, go ahead and take this one.” You said as you pushed the bag into his arms.
Mikey’s eyes lit up as he carried it into the kitchen. “This is gonna be great! Mine is gonna make all of yours look like sheds!”
“I really appreciate you getting it for us, Y/N.” Leo said as you turned to hand him the other bag, his eyes searching your face.
Your heart thudded in your chest. Why did he have to look at you like that? “Oh! It’s really no problem. I know you guys can’t exactly go up and get them yourselves.” Oh my god that sounded so lame! Ugh! You mentally chided yourself.
Leo smiled, realizing you were getting flustered. He noticed that you were becoming increasingly anxious around him and suddenly decided that he wanted to test a theory he had about you right then and there.
“Y/N?” He cleared his throat as he tucked the bag under his left arm. “Seeing as I’m not the best when it comes to putting stuff together, would you mind helping me with my gingerbread house?” He watched you carefully, waiting to see if you would continue to give yourself away.
In fact if you had a heart, you could no longer tell, because it completely stopped. Leo’s eyes locked with yours. He wanted you to help him?
The leader in blue wanted….you….to help him.
Leo?
The one who strived for perfection in damn near everything he did?
Were you dreaming?
Satisfied with his test, Leo smirked. Instead of answering him, you just stared at him, your mouth slightly agape, “Y/N?” Leo’s eye ridges rose.
You blinked a few times, your cheeks flushing a deep red. Oh my god. Oh my god. OK! Chill! Breathe! “I, uh, I….yes! Yes! I’ll help you! Sure!” You suddenly bit down on the inside of your cheek to keep from saying anything else that would make you sound so stupid!
“Hey! Why is everyone just standing around? Let’s put these baby’s together!” Mikey laughed, pulling out the kits and setting them on the table.
Grateful for the save, you took that moment to turn away from Leo and headed into the kitchen, bolting under the mistletoe.
🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄
One hour later….
Things were going far better than you expected! Everyone was sitting around the table, putting their respective gingerbread houses together, each one with their favorite drinks next to them. Master Splinter of course had his usual cup of ginger and lemon tea. Leo had his famous blend of herbs tea, Donnie’s had wisps of steam coming from his triple shot espresso, and Raph and Mikey seemed content with their ice cold Orange Crush’s, extra ice!
Leo had insisted on making you some of his tea, which you were now regretting because it was in fact rather spicy. Much like the leader himself.
As you helped Leo, you quickly found out that his version of ‘help’ was allowing him to do most of the work. You were pretty much on stand by in case he needed you.
Which you didn’t mind. You were happy to watch his graceful fingers slide over each piece.
Watching him period!
Even though he was bound and determined to keep going without you, you attempted to help him hold a few pieces together. Turns out, you weren’t exactly an architect either. Two of the pieces crumbled away beneath your fingertips, causing your stomach to twist in a knot.
“I’m so sorry, Leo.” You whispered as one of the gingerbread pieces comprising of the roof slid to the side.
Leo chuckled. “No. Don’t be! This is great!” He grinned, slathering more frosting over the broken gingerbread.
You nodded, hoping he wasn’t being sarcastic.
“I’m done, dudes!” Mikey shouted, standing back from the table. “I give you,” he flourished his hands out in front, “my masterpiece.”
You dragged your eyes away from Leo’s dilapidated house to Mikey’s, taking in a sharp breath. Of course the artist of the household would create a Victorian replica! “Whoa! Mikey! That’s insane!”
Your eyes quickly darted around the table and you noticed that Master Splinter had also finished his house and was enjoying the last of his tea. “And Master Splinter? Wow!” Your eyes lingered over the delicate looking dojo, swearing it could have come straight from Feudal Japan.
Your eyes then trailed over to Donnie’s. Wait. Was that…. “Donnie?” You squinted your eyes. “Are those actual lights?”
Donnie grinned as he crossed his arms over his chest. “You know it. It’s not a house without lights.”
“Hey! Mine isn’t half bad, if I do say so myself!” Raph grumbled, motioning to what appeared to be a miniature log cabin.
“Holy shit! You can’t tell me you weren’t architects in another life! This is incredible!” You said as you flicked your eyes back to Leo’s poor little creation.
“Yeah, at least four of us were.” Mikey snickered, stepping forward to peer at Leo’s house.
“Uh, Leo, I think your house needs mouth to mouth resuscitation at this point.” Donnie added, uncrossing his arms.
As soon as the words ‘mouth to mouth resuscitation’ left Donnie’s lips, your mind immediately replaced the gingerbread house with you, lying there on the table, your eyelids fluttering, waiting for Leo’s lips to touch yours.
“Shut up, Donnie!” Leo’s shout pulled you from your fantasy. “It’s fine. It’s beautiful just as it is!” He continued to try and cover the gingerbread in as much frosting as he could.
“It died from sugar shock about half a tub of icing ago! How much frosting are ya going ta put on it Leo?” Raph chuckled, standing up, his chair scraping across the floor. Leo glared up at his brother, his blue eyes darkening.
Sensing a fight, you attempted to ease the situation. “I’m sure Donnie can help straighten out some of the edges.” You gave Donnie your best ‘please help me’ look. “Right? Donnie?”
Donnie quickly picked up on what you were trying to do. “Oh! Right! Yeah! Totally! Maybe even throw in some lights?” He winced. “But you will have to scoop it up and follow me to the lab. I have some work I need to finish before the formula goes bad.”
At first Leo didn’t want Donnie to help him, but after about five minutes you convinced him to allow the purple banded turtle to at least try and save what he could of the broken pile of gingerbread now covered in three feet of frosting.
After carefully helping to lift up Leo’s creation and putting it on a pizza pan, you let the blue masked barra take control of carrying it to Donnie’s lab. Even though it looked as if a bomb had gone off inside of it, he seemed to genuinely cherish it, but you sensed there was more to it than that.
“Ok. Just set it down over there and I will try my best to smooth everything out, then I will bring it back to the kitchen when I’m done.” Donnie smiled as he sat down in his desk chair.
“Thanks, Donnie.” Leo sighed. “It really means a lot.” Slowly his gaze turned to you.
“Don’t mention it.” Donnie waved him off. “It’s not the first time I’ve needed to help you anyway, Leo. You remember the year you decided to try and make Master Splinter a birthday cake?”
Leo reluctantly tore his gaze from you, turning back to Donnie with red creeping into his cheeks. “At least I tried!”
Donnie snickered as he nodded. “I know! I know! It’s just that the amount of frosting you pont the house brought back all the memories…”
“Can it, Don!” Leo tried his best to be serious, but his mouth kept twitching up into a smile. He knew Donnie wasn’t trying to upset him. He couldn’t deny that the cake had been the stuff of culinary nightmares.
Donnie held his hand up in mock defeat. “Alright, I guess I will see you guys later?”
You nodded as Leo eyes his creation once more. “Yeah see ya in a bit.” Leo sighed again.
🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄
After about an hour of typing away on his backlit keyboard, and mixing different ingredients in glass jars and beakers, Donnie gave Leo’s attempt at a house a sideways glance. He had decided not to rush to fix it, because in all honesty it really just needed to be thrown away, and a new one made in its place. But Donnie knew that Leo wouldn’t go for that. So, he resolved to leave it for the time being.
Over the course of a few more hours, Donnie continued to pour, and mix liquids, spilling some here and there and next to the house while taking notes. All the while, knowing he had to table the impossible. Fixing a giant mash of gingerbread.
As he sat at his computer a few hours later, he started to become weary, his eyes no longer able to focus on the screen in front of him. The coffee that he drank throughout the day no longer held its magic and failed at keeping him firing on all pistons. Donnie yawned, stretching his arms as he shook his head from side to side.
“Wake up!” He chided himself. “You still have to….” Donnie’s voice trailed off as his head drooped slightly, then within the same span of that split second, he was out.
Leo’s overly frosted gingerbread house sat alone on the table next to some oddly colored splatters of volatile fluid.
Fluid that had been splashed down from the glass beaker in the center of the table.
Fluid that wasn’t at all foreign to the mutant brothers, but in fact had made them what they were.
The mutagen mixture had somehow managed to expand, spreading towards the house. With wisp-like tendrils, it creeped up onto the pizza pan, pulsating, then shot a thin green line out, smacking the side of the house.
The green fluid seeped into the frosting, merging with it.
For a few silent seconds, nothing happened, then slowly, Leo’s misshapen gingerbread house began to glow. It trembled, shivered, then started to expand, ballooning outward.
In a matter of seconds it had outgrown its perch on the table and slid to the floor, where it propped itself up on two very large, newly formed, brown legs. The now sentient gingerbread house took a ragged breath into its frosting coated lungs. Its dark brown eyes focused on the unaware terrapin asleep at his desk.
Donnie was now slumped forward, arms crossed over his keyboard, in a deep sleep, blissfully unaware of the danger that now stalked him. The gnarled gingerbread monster started to approach Donnie, but a noise off to its right caught its attention and it turned its monstrous body towards the back of the lab instead.
“I knew it!” Leo shouted as he walked into the lab with you in tow. “Donnie!” He snapped his fingers. “Wake up!”
“Whaaa…huh?” Donnie pulled his head up as he slid his eyes open, blinking. “Oh no! I musta fell asleep!”
“Uh, yeah! You did!” You giggled, pointing at the line of drool running down Donnie’s chin.
“Ugh!” Donnie scowled as he wiped his face roughly.
“Hey! Where is it?” Leo asked, crossing his arms.
“What?” Donnie rubbed his eyes.
“My house! Where did it go?” Leo narrowed his eyes as he slid his gaze over the now vacant pizza pan.
Donnie turned slowly in his chair to see that the house was indeed missing, a trail of frosting leading to the edge of the table. He swallowed. “I left it right there.”
“Maybe Mikey came in and ate it?” You asked, lifting your hands up, watching as Leo looked under the table, becoming more flustered.
“No, Y/N. He’s not here, remember? He went with Casey to get more pizza.” Leo growled as he glared at Donnie.
“I…” Donnie’s defense died on his lips the second he spotted it. Huge and skulking near the back of the lab, the gingerbread monster stood with its back to the wall, staring down at the three forms before it.
You and Leo both followed Donnie’s gaze, freezing instantly. The monster stared back at you, his chest heaving as it took up the entire back area of the lab, floor to ceiling.
“Is that?” Leo breathed, his eyes narrowing. “It can’t be!” He instantly snaked his arm around your waist, pulling you back. “Stay behind me, Y/N.”
Donnie quickly stood, approaching the table to see that the liquid he had spilled earlier was no longer there. He was pretty sure that the mutagen hadn’t spilled that close to the house. So, how did it manage to mutate it? His stomach twisted up into a knot.
“Uh, Leo. I think your house somehow drank the mutagen I was trying to change into retromutagen!” Donnie’s reddish-brown eyes widened as he swept his gaze over the new mutant in front of him.
“How in the hell does a NON LIVING OBJECT even do that, Donnie?!” Leo shouted, stepping back, taking your hand in his.
“I’m not a hundred percent sure about that!” Donnie winced.
The giant gingerbread man growled, taking a few steps forward, a lopsided grin spreading across its half frosted half cookie like face. “Gingerbread man alive.” It gurgled, its crazed eyes landing on Donnie.
“No shit, buddy!” Donnie said as he too began backing away.
“Come on! Let’s go!” Leo shouted as he turned to run, tugging you with him.
“RRRROOOAAARRRRR.” The gingerbread man began to give chase, pieces of gingerbread falling from it in clumps as it collided with Donnie’s lab equipment.
As you, Leo and Donnie sprinted into the living room, Mikey and Casey were coming through the entrance to the lair, each carrying a stack of pizza boxes.
“Run!” Leo shouted as the door the lab flew past him, hitting the wall.
Mikey’s eyes widened as he inhaled sharply. “Dude! Is that a giant gingerbread man?! What the hell?”
“I think it is, Mikey!” Casey shouted.
“What tha fuck is goin on out…” Raph shouted, running into the living room, then came to a halt just as you blasted past him, heading for the dojo.
“Let’s lure it into the dojo! We will have a better chance of defeating it there!” Leo shouted over his shoulder.
Raph looked from Mikey to the gingerbread man, and smirked. “Ya gotta be fuckin kiddin me!”
The gingerbread man narrowed its feral eyes, roaring again. Raph, Mikey, and Casey all ran to follow you, Leo and Donnie, the pizza quickly forgotten as it crashed to the floor.
“Run, run as fast as you can, you can’t escape the gingerbread man!” It roared, lumbering through the living area.
“Dude! This is all kinds of wrong!” Mikey puffed out in between breaths as he blasted into the dojo.
“How tha hell did this happen?” Raph asked, yanking his sais free.
“Y/N! Casey! Get back!” Leo shouted, positioning himself in front of you.
You took a few steps back as Casey pulled you with him, listening to the monster snarl as it approached, your heart in your throat.
“I think I’ll let Donnie explain that one to you later, Raph!” Leo scowled, pulling his katanas free.
Raph shot Donnie a look. “Don’t tell me that’s Leo’s gingerbread disaster?”
“Yes! Gingerbread man ALIVE!” The gingerbread mutant roared as it reached the entrance to the dojo.
Raph stared at Donnie in shock, his green eyes darkening.
“On my count!” Leo shouted, steadying himself.
Raph tore his gaze from Donnie, gripping his sais tightly. Mikey twirled his nunchucks in front of him, and Donnie spun his bo staff several times, then slammed it into the floor.
The giant gingerbread man moaned as it forced its girth through the dojo entrance, dripping frosting to the floor, along with gingerbread shavings. Its misshapen eyes seemed to melt as they locked with Leo’s, gurgling in anticipation of eating him for a snack.
“I….bet..you….are VERY…tasty! Gingerbread man…EAT!”
“Go!” Leo shouted.
“Ok! That’s enough talk!” Raph shouted, lunging for the monster.
Leo narrowed his eyes as he watched Raph spring towards the monster, sais extended, only to be smashed to the floor by its humongous hand.
“Raph!” Mikey growled, springing into action next, flying toward the monster at top speed. His nunchucks beat into the monster's middle, but he wasn't fast enough. The monster gripped his arm in its giant hand, pulling him forward. Mikey gritted his teeth together, bending his head down, then licked the frosting from the monster’s wrist.
“How can something so delicious be so bad for me? My childhood will forever be ruined!” Mikey cried as the gingerbread man slung him towards the back of the dojo. Mikey hit the wall, then crumpled to the floor.
“Eat this!” Leo shouted as he flew into the monster, blades slicing, dicing its arms, then its face. The monster roared as large chunks fell from its body.
Donnie sailed in next, whacking the monster from behind, knocking it to the floor. Donnie continued to slam his bo into its back as Raph rebounded, puncturing the gingerbread monstrosity in the neck with his sais.
The monster growled, gurgling as it tried to regain its footing, but Mikey sailed over his brothers, landing a killing blow to the side of the monsters head with his nunchucks.
“Are you ok, Y/N?” Raph asked as approached you.
You smiled, nodding. “Yes, I’m fine! That was incredible!” You beamed.
“OH, so you aren’t going to ask if I’m ok?” Casey smirked as he came out from behind you.
Raph just shook his head as Leo approached, sliding his now sticky katanas back into their saya’s.
“I’m so sorry, Leo.” You said, walking up to him, then putting your arms around him.
“Why?” He laughed as he hugged you back.
You pulled back to look up into his eyes. Slowly, without thinking, you leaned up and Leo grinned as his lips met yours.
“Whoo Hoo! About time!” Mikey shouted.
After a few seconds you pulled back again, biting your lower lip.
“Well, Leo.” Donnie scratched the back of his head. “Now you don’t have a house at all.”
With a new sparkle in Leo’s eyes, he looked back at the dead gingerbread man on the floor, a mischievous grin on his face. “I think I might be able to salvage a little bit.”

Part 1
Her gaze, forest green, like his surroundings. Her skin, rich earth tones, like the ground beneath his feet. He came here often, to the abandoned mill. Whenever he needed to be reminded of her sweetness and warm heart. After all, it’s where they first met. Her long wavy hair hung down over her shoulder as she looked up at him, smiling, a clump of small blue flowers in her right hand.
He stood there now, quill poised above light parchment, his heart full of things he wanted to say and things he didn’t. He gazed out over the rolling hills, his eyes catching on bright yellow and purple wildflowers. No. Even that beautiful landscape couldn’t begin to describe her. He looked around, seeking inspiration for his words, then it struck him. The way the old mill had fallen to the ravages of time. How every brick seemed to tell a story.
He sighed, slowly moistening his lips with his tongue, then spoke out loud as he wrote. “My Dearest Angel, Time has no meaning when I am with you. The world could fade away and I would simply not care. To feel you in my arms,” the blue banded warrior paused, his quill held slightly above the parchment in his left hand, “ is truly maddening to one’s soul.” He puffed out a weary sigh, reading over what he just wrote. What had started off as a love letter, was now quickly becoming a goodbye letter.
“I know what we have is forbidden. That you have a duty-”
“Milord?” A familiar young man’s voice pulled the warrior from his thoughts.
He quickly set the parchment and quill down on the ruined windowsill next to him. “What is it?” He asked gruffly, squinting back at the young man.
“I’m sorry to bother you, Milord, at such a late hour, but King Herald is in need of your services.”
“Now?” Did the king not sleep? “Did he even try to call upon Sir Raphael?”
The young man shook his head. “No, Milord. He asked for you specifically.”
“Oh for heavens…ah forget it.” The tall warrior grumbled, grabbing the parchment and quill roughly from the windowsill, balling up the parchment as he walked past the young man. The words he wished to express weren’t coming as easily as he thought they would anyway. “Get my horse ready!”
“Yes, Milord! Right away!”
No matter where he went, Sir Leonardo was always under the watchful eye of the king. So, it wasn’t a surprise when the young lad, known as Micah, found him in the old abandoned mill. It also came as no surprise when the king asked for him, and not one of his brothers, to escort him to wherever he wished to go. Sir Leonardo had long suspected that it was to keep him from visiting the princess while he was away. Though the king had never caught them together, he had his suspicions.
The king’s castle was one of the biggest in the country. It had been added on to over the centuries and now stretched over a considerable piece of land. Home to over eight hundred servants and at least fifty royals attending court, Sir Leonardo found himself at the very center of the public eye. His presence was most often requested for royal events, such as balls and dinners. Not to say the least, when the king needed to be escorted to neighboring towns and other ventures.
Everyone was quick to praise the experienced warrior on his fighting abilities and his protection of the king, but Sir Leonardo only wanted one thing. He wanted it more than gold. More than silver. He wanted her.
Sir Leonardo walked down the familiar marble hallway towards the king's chambers. It was late, so he knew the king would be sitting in his chair, a well worn chess board in front of him.
“Ah! There he is! My most trusted warrior!” The king smiled, though it didn’t reach his eyes. “I wish to be escorted to Tarva. We leave at first light!” He announced without preamble.
Sir Leonardo bowed, then rose, inclining his head, noticing that the king was in fact sitting on the edge of his bed. Tarva? What in god's name could the king be looking for in Tarva? “Your highness?” He tilted his head slightly, concern coating his tone. “Tarva?”
“Yes. Tarva.” The king coughed. “I received word that a messenger from Shekee awaits me there.” The king gripped the front of his robe, pulling it tighter around him. “But first we need to wait for your brother. I’ve asked Sir Donatello to join us.”
Sir Leonardo’s eye ridges rose, his lips quirking into a smile. It had been at least a fortnight since he had seen his brother, but that meant that this wasn’t usual business. “It will be good to see him.”
“Yes. I imagine it would. He is not only an excellent warrior, but an even better messenger. I trust him explicitly when it comes to urgent matters. He only just got back last night.” The king watched Sir Leonardo carefully. When he didn’t react he continued. “I would have sent Micah to tell you, but-”
Sir Leonardo laughed inwardly. For the first time, it seemed the king wasn’t able to find him. “I’m sorry, King Herald, I was dealing with a family matter.”
The king squinted for a second, his left brow arching, his jaw tensing, then relaxed his face. “It’s quite alright.” He said tightly, then added. “In the future, please make yourself a little easier to find. I need you available at all times. Day or night.”
Sir Leonardo nodded. “Yes, your highness.”
“Excellent. Well, while we’re waiting for your brother, you’re free to do as you please for the time being.” The king straightened, smoothing down the front of his robe. “Also, as a favor to me. Please stay away from the mutant market. You’re a king's guard for heaven's sake! Act like it!” He inclined his head, his dark eyes softening.
Sir Leonardo grimaced. He hated when the king expected him to act like a human. Because he in fact wasn’t. “Yes, your high-”
“No.” The king waved his hands in front of him as he stood. “None of that.” He walked up to Leonardo, his face solemn. “I know. I truly do.” He put his hand on Leonardo’s right shoulder. “I know that what I’m asking of you takes strength and courage to do so. I’m not delusional. As I’m also not delusional when it comes to matters of the heart.” The king looked up into Leonardo’s deep blue eyes.
This was it. The king was going to tell him that he knew about what was going on between his daughter and …..
“I’ve noticed how you and your brothers are no longer as close as you once were.” The king said, gently patting Leonardo’s shoulder. Leonardo’s eyes widened as his heart skipped a few beats. “When we return, seek your brothers out. Family is too important to leave matters unattended.”
Leonardo bowed, his mind racing. “I will, your highness. Thank you.”
The king nodded. “Excellent. I will send Micah to retrieve you when Sir Donatello arrives. We leave directly afterwards.”

Hey guys! So, I've been wanting to write something with the guys in medieval times and couldn't figure out how to place them in that time period🤷 Then I was hit with inspiration by watching Vikings! The one with Ragnar Lothbrok!
I don't know how long this is going to be, but I'm going to try and stick with it! I appreciate your support! Until the next part....Be safe and be free!🧡❤️💙💜🦊
I can see this! These little glimpses into their world are awesome.
I can definitely see Raph hiding pain and mikey wanting to have a social business like a skate park and pizzeria. 💯
More Random Turtle Thoughts....
💙Leo not only enjoys giving massages, he also likes to receive them too! Mainly his thighs! 👀Those hamstrings get pretty sore after training! And other forms of exercise...💙
💜Donnie doesn't tell anyone, but he forgets to add sugar to his coffee sometimes, grumbling the whole way back to the kitchen. He has contemplated putting his own coffee maker in the lab, but fears that it might interfere with his experiments. Nah! It's better left in the kitchen!💜
❤️Raph hides the pain in his right wrist. He doesn't want to admit that he's feeling the effects of getting older.❤️
🧡Mikey dreams of opening his own skate park/pizzeria. Maybe with some graffiti lessons thrown in every once and awhile?🧡
💙No one knows this, but Leo often takes his tea and a few raisin cookies to the top of the Chrysler Building and spends hours staring up at the stars. Space calls to him. Even though he doesn't understand it and has asked Donnie about it thousands of times. He's fascinated with the idea that there might be life on other planets.💙
@thelaundrybitch @wynndigogh
Ohhhhhh interesting thoughts! I love where your mind wanders. And now, Leo's in trouble
Random Isolated Turtle Event Thoughts:
💙It wasn’t his fault. Truly it wasn’t. Leo had absolutely no idea that ice could do that. Stimulate that sort of response. It sent zings up and down his spine as it spilled onto his crotch, igniting a simmering burn that made him feel as though he would surely orgasm at any moment. Ice? Who knew? Well, he did now! 💙
❤️The day Raph was able to lift more weight than he had available in his little alcove in the lair, he was forced to celebrate on his own. His brothers and father, leaving only a mere thirty minutes before, to go hang with Casey and April. To this day, he consistently lifts more than a ton. He’s not called The Muscle for nothing. ❤️
💜Donnie carries a small weight. Literally. Around five years ago, he was messing with an experiment. One that involved various strands of his and his brother's DNA. He wanted to learn everything he possibly could about who and what they were. How the mutagen made them different and what they had to look forward to as they got older. Donnie accidentally spilled a small amount on his right wrist, causing the bones there to separate and form a third bone, trailing down into his thumb. A small knot can be seen at the base of his wrist. 💜
🧡Mikey. Oh sweet, Mikey. Boy knows way more than he lets on. He knows he’s special and that the mutagen that runs in his veins may as well be made of pure immortality. For you see, not too long ago, Mikey fell. One small misstep and he was careening towards the pavement below. He fell pretty far and when he landed, his right hip fractured into a million pieces. He was alone, his brothers patrolling elsewhere in the city. Mikey cried out in pain, dragging himself across the alley, desperately clawing his way towards the shadows. When he finally made it, his back against the cool red brick of a nearby building, he took in a sharp breath, realizing that his bones were slowly knitting back together. To this day, he’s not breathed a word to his brothers about what happened.🧡

Oh, the longing. To be in his arms, I feel that in my soul.
I can't wait for the rest to unfold.

What is life, if not but a long, and terribly winding road that leads directly to our predetermined fate?
Are the rules ever so simple?
Are there any rules?
I mean really?
Aren’t we just specks of dust floating around in an entire catastrophic arena of galaxies?
Can we really close our eyes and for just a second, just a brief moment, touch the past?
Are we able to look down a long hallway and see our future staring back at us? Reaching back for us?
Are we really, then, so eager to pick up the pace and take the most often empty hand of fate? No matter where it leads?
No matter what it offers?
…………
Eyes closed, heart hammering against his ribcage, Leo reluctantly recalled his most recent dream, (or as he had come to call it, a nightmare) as he sat at the kitchen table, nestled in the center of the lair, seemingly safe from any would-be foe. Any physical one anyway.
His tea, long since grown cold, sat before him in his favorite bright blue mug, donning a chicken wearing a T-shirt that read: I’m not telling you why I crossed the road.
Dreams never really bothered him to this extent. Before, he could just let them go. Chalking them up to a previous night of hard patrol through the city or a fight with his brother Raph. But these dreams? Dreams of her? If he had hair, it’d be gone. His fists full of it.
Leo shook his head, trying in vain to dispel her image. It was futile. She stubbornly remained. Her long curly red hair framing her reddish-brown furry face was firmly stuck in his mind. Along with her bright green eyes. Burned into his very psyche.
At first he thought she was someone he had seen in a movie, someone on the street, or possibly one of Mikey’s manga books, but no. Now he knew better. This woman. This unbelievable mutant fox woman was someone he now needed. Craved on a primal level.
His thoughts wondered where they so often did when his leader's mind took over. If she was a mutant, that must have meant that they missed a canister of mutagen. And this woman, whoever she was, must have come into contact with it, or worse. What if some other bad guy-
Leo puffed his cheeks, then blew out a long exasperated sigh. “I don’t even know where you are.” He breathed, staring down into his tea, his blue eyes reflecting back at him. “How can I even begin to look for you?”
“My son? Is something troubling you?” Master Splinter asked, tightening the belt to his robe as he walked into the kitchen.
Leo placed his hand over his mug, gripping it tightly as he stood, his thumb completely covering the chicken. “I can’t stop dreaming of her, Master Splinter.” He sighed as he turned to pour out the cold tea.
Master Splinter appraised his son with cool brown eyes. “I see.” He gently stroked his goatee.
“I tried to meditate, I tried to do my kata’s, and I tried to do hundreds of laps around the sewers.” Leo growled. “But she’s always there! When I close my eyes, I can see her as clearly as if she was standing here beside me.” He shook his head, a wave of sudden grief passing through him as he placed a small pot of water on the stove, gently turning the dial.
“What’s more, Sensei, is that I can feel her,” he said softly, moving his right hand to the center of his chest, “right here.”
Splinter nodded. “Yes, I believe that the universe has found a way to make her connection to you much stronger than before. We must find a way to discover where she is so that you two may finally see each other face to face.”
Leo leaned against the counter, his arms crossing over his chest. “I agree, Sensei. I do. But I don’t even know where to begin. Just when I think I have an idea where she might be, everything fades away and I wake up.” He closed his eyes, taking a deep breath. “In the last dream, I gave her a red rose, wrapped in black velvet.” He opened his eyes, locking them with his Sensei’s. “I could literally feel the fabric slip between my fingers.”
Splinter’s furry brows rose slowly as he let out a breath. “It seems the universe is about to bring about something very special. I only hope it happens swiftly, for your sake as well as the woman you're dreaming of. I can only imagine the ache she is also experiencing.”
Leo’s eyes glistened with unshed tears as he nodded. He knew all too well what she had to be feeling.

Foxes.
Red, brown and white.
Fox.
I can hear them.
Pulling me from my life.
Leading me towards a new one.
They're telling me to run.
To run with them.
To be free.
To feel everything around me.
To be me.
I need to save them.
I have to.
Who?
The foxes?
Wait?
Where did they go?
They were just here!
I can’t see where I’m going anymore!
“You can’t expect me to take care of everything, sister!” Star’s brother’s voice echoes all around her. “They’re your parents too!”
“Skylar!” She shouts into the void. Instantly, she’s transported to her childhood home, her human feet firmly planted on the driveway, her brother’s face intense as he stares at her.
No. Not this again. Star tenses, waiting for the scene to play out.
“I know that! God, do I fucking know that!” Her lips move, words that were said a million times in her dreams come flowing out once more. “What do you think I’ve been doing all this time? Sitting on my ass?” She glared at him, her eyes flicking momentarily to the bright blue suitcases sitting on the ground next to her brother’s brown van.
Bright blue? Wait. They weren’t that color-
Star sighed, knowing what her next words would be. “Just get them to the airport. I’ll take care of the rest.”
“Are you sure you don’t want to come with us?” Skylar asked, his tone softening as he reached for the nearest suitcase. A small fox quickly ran out from behind it, then under the van. Didn’t he see that?
Star took a deep breath, casually bending down to try and see if she could see the small fox.
“Star? Are you even listening to me?”
Star shook her head as she stood. “No, Skylar. I don’t. I can’t.” She closed her eyes against the sudden rush of tears. “It’s enough for me to know the you’ll be there. That you’ll take care of our dad’s.”
Star watched helplessly as Skylar loaded the last suitcase in the back of the van, that familiar look on his face. His heart was also so very heavy. She knew what he was afraid of, because it was exactly what she feared as well. That their father would never get better. That there wasn’t any hope for him. No matter how much any of them wanted it to happen.
“It just really sucks, you know?” Skylar sighed. “For him to go from being a top surgeon to-” He choked.
Star nodded, her chest tightening. “I know.” She whispered.
Star suddenly caught the small fox out the corner of her right eye and gasped. All at once the scenery blurred, filling the space with a bone deep chill. Dark shadows crept in at the edges, threatening to overtake her if she didn’t run.
Run for her life.
Run for her death.
Run for any reason at all.
Star could feel the blood rushing through her body, pounding in her ears as she was enveloped in the swirling colors of the portal, then finally stepped through, emerging on the other side of the portal, almost walking straight into a department store window. She turned around just in time to watch the portal spin, its colors more vibrant than before, then roar one final time, before fizzling away, then disappearing with an audible POP!
Star looked back, her head tilting back to see that she had been transported in front of a MACY’s, blue, green and pink lights flashing in the front window. Was it Christmas here? Here! Star sucked in a sharp breath, her eyes wide as she looked around. Off in the distance the Chrysler Building lit up the night sky, shining like a beacon.
“I’m here! I’m in New York!” She breathed, trembling as she turned back to the window behind her. There, she saw her reflection a second time in less than an hour. In full fox form, her fur blew slightly in the cold breeze, soft white snow catching in her deep red curls.
“Hey! You!” A man suddenly shouted, making her jump.
Shit! She needed to hide. Although she may be where she belonged, it was still quite dangerous to be out in the open. Humans couldn’t be trusted in any world. She quickly darted to her left, running down the snow covered sidewalk, then ducking down an alleyway. She needed to find Leo, but had absolutely no idea where the lair was.
Sure, she had watched the movies and seen the animated episodes, but it's not like anyone ever drew a map. One thing she definitely knew was that it was located in the sewers. Trying to catch her breath, she frantically searched the ground for a manhole cover.
“There’s got to be one around here somewhere!”
She shuffled her furry feet through the snow covered, trash strewn ground, her heart galloping away in her chest as she heard footsteps approaching. Please! Oh God, please! After a few more seconds she found it. She crouched down, digging her claws into the crevices that surrounded the iron circle, and heaved the metal disc upwards, her muscles straining as she slid it to the side.
The smell of raw sewage slammed into her and she fought not to hurl. “Ugh!” She waved her hand in front of her, her eyes squinting.
“I think it went down that way!” A woman said loudly behind Star.
Ok. Time to go. Star took a quick breath, then turned, placing her feet on the top of the ladder below, descending into the sewer. After she pulled the manhole cover back over head, she looked around. Pipes of every size ran off in every direction. While nasty brown water ran all around under her. She sighed. How was she going to find him in this enormous maze?
When she lowered herself to the ground, she closed her eyes, fighting to listen. She could hear steam, running water and a sort of odd banging off in the distance. Was that music? She opened her eyes, hope lifting her heart. Could it be just that easy? Was she that lucky to have picked the one manhole cover that was close to the lair?
Her left ear twitched, picking up a faint melody off to her left. She grinned. Oh my god! Every part of her tingled as she took off in the direction of the music. This was it! The further she went, the louder the music became.
Star froze in place when her bright green eyes landed on a large closed wooden door, a beam of yellow light shining out from underneath. Trembling with confusion, excitement and fear, she took a deep breath, steading herself, then reached for the large iron handle with her tiny brown fur tipped fingers.
As the door opened, Star nearly fell to her knees. There before her, in all its glory, was Donatello’s security setup. Dozens of monitors displayed various areas of the city, backlit in purple and green. Some flashing with warning symbols and others continuously running codes.
As if on autopilot, Star’s feet carried her into the lair, the feeling of home washing over her. The smell of fresh baked pizza filling her nose. Tears stung her eyes.
“It seems the universe had other plans indeed.” A soft male voice said. “Welcome home, Star.”
Star’s heart skipped a beat as she turned to see Master Splinter standing by the entrance to the lair, holding a candle. Tears now wetting the fur on her cheeks, She swallowed. “How do you know my name?” She asked, even though she knew how. He wasn't a master for nothing.
Splinter was quiet for a second as he took in her presence. “This has been in the works for sometime, my child.” He motioned for her to sit down on the bright red couch next to Donnie’s workstation. Star slowly sat down, her tail curling around her waist as she rubbed her forearms.
He smiled softly, his brown eyes glinting in the soft light. “Leonardo has been dreaming of you for some time. He has told me all about you.”
“I don’t mean to be rude, Master, but where is he?” She whispered, looking around.
“Ah!” He grinned. “You are not being rude, my child. They are on there nightly patrol around the city. They should be back-” He was blissfully interrupted by a series of whoops and shouts just beyond the door.
Star watched, her heart immobile in her chest as all four of them came bursting through the door. Raphael was the first, then Donatello, followed by Michelangelo, then finally Leonardo.
“Whoooo! I beat all ya! Again!” Raph shouted, then came to a jarring stop, his sea green eyes landing on Star.
Leo’s eyes widened as he came around Raphael to see Star as she stood, visibly trembling. He was everything she had imagined AND MORE! His blue eyes locked with hers, their chests rising and falling in tandem.
“My son, it seems you were never meant to find her. She in fact has found you.” Splinter smiled, glancing between Leo and Star.
“Leo I…” Words failed her as her throat began to tighten.
Sheer relief flooded Leo, his lips twisting into a wicked smile. “This is unreal! Oh my-” He shouted excitedly, running towards her.
Star held her arms out, reaching for him, her chin tilted upward, ears laid back as she took him in. He towered over her small frame. But it didn’t matter to her. She just wanted to be in those strong arms of his. To feel his plastron against her fur covered cheek.
Leo chuckled as he wrapped his arms around her, picking her up. Breathing in her scent, he held her tightly to him, running his right hand over her fox ears, then through her long hair. She felt even better in person than she had ever felt in his dreams. She was so soft. So warm. So his.
Then everything around them disappeared. They were the only two souls left in the universe. In all that ever was and ever will be, it was just them. Two single shafts of light that had beat the odds and found one another. Ripped from time and placed among the void. Every cell inside them exploded, then mended back together.
She was a part of him.
He was a part of her.
Soul Mates.
“Whoa! Is that the fox chick that Leo was talking about?” Mikey asked, a huge grin on his face.
“How did she even get here?” Raph’s eye ridges rose as he watched his brother smother Star in kisses.
“None of that matters right now, my son. All things will be revealed in time.” Master Splinter said, then turned to leave the room, a wide grin on his furry face.

Author's Note:
FLUX is my escape. But it also helps me to tackle issues that arise in my life. Through writing I can work through my thought processes and interact with characters that I deem safe and at the same time necessary for my psyche.
My OC Star Lanteen is very much and in every way, me. It’s true that I also see myself in my other OC’s, but not like Star. Do I want to be with Leo and Raph? 1000% YES! Do I want to be a shapeshifting elemental? Also 1000% YES! If I could escape this life, I would do so in a heartbeat!
All the feelings in FLUX are first processed through my mind, then put on this wonderful screen for you all to read. Trust me, it’s not an easy process at times. I catch myself needing to step back or take a break because of it. I can’t write and not feel what the character is feeling. To me it just feels odd when someone can.
How do you not get attached to your children (I mean characters)? HA!
Are there things I’m not willing to write about? Yes. But it doesn’t mean I’m not open minded! To each their own!
I hope you enjoy FLUX as much as I do! Thanks for stopping by!
Ohhhh snit! A hanger. Ohhhh...juicy. so imaginative and engrossing. >>>waiting for 4!

Time.
What exactly is it? Some say it’s manmade. Some say it’s been around since the beginning.
Maybe even before.
Are we then slaves to it? Is it the very cause of our mortality?
Would we even age if it didn’t exist?
So many questions, so few answers.
But that’s the universe for you! Always keeping us guessing.
Wondering.
From the very edge of the universe, to the tip of a bee’s wing, we are all but a moment apart.
🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌌🌌🌌🌌🌌🌌🌌🌌
New York.
Another time.
Another place.
Although, now, not entirely.
Ravaged by solar radiation, the once great city is now protected by a giant metal dome. Only several skyscrapers remain, skewing the once iconic coastline. The rest? Crumbled away, forgotten.
The four gods that used to inhabit this city, saving its citizens from certain evil, left merely a year ago, taking their queen with them. When she left, taking her powers with her, the Earth began to fall apart. Slowly at first, then faster and faster. Without her, Earth’s core stalled, no longer able to maintain a magnetic field, therefore it could no longer protect the humans and what was left of the mutants from the sun.
Earth was well on its way to becoming nothing but stardust.
Kyle Vittenhouse lay nude in his bed, continuously hitting the snooze button on the wall next to the bed. He knew that today was a big day, but he wasn’t ready to leave. Not yet. He wasn’t exactly excited to go to some planet he’d never been to before. Especially one that was so politically charged. He’d spent enough of his life under that kind of scrutiny and it was bad enough that he and his parents didn’t even have to put their names into the lot to be chosen.
They were rich. That’s all that was needed or even required. So, it came as no surprise to him or anyone else when their names were read aloud during the most recent convention.
When Meg Meyers: Running Up That Hill echoed through his room for the sixth time, he growled, not bothering to turn the alarm off. “Alright! Al-fucking-right!” He threw back his dark green comforter, his blue eyes landing on the small white round ball with a blue light around its center on his bedside table.
🎶It doesn’t hurt me.
Do you wanna feel how it feels?
Do you wanna know, know that it doesn’t hurt me?
Do you wanna hear about the deal that I’m making?🎶
“Scion, what’s the weather forecast for today?” Kyle asked for what would be the last time, a sharp stab causing him to rub the center of his chest.
“Good morning, Kyle.” A young male voice responded. “Today, July 28, 5032, there is a sixty percent chance of acid rain throughout the Eastern part of the city and a one hundred percent chance of ozone poisoning throughout the entire Metro North. Might I suggest that you wear your-”
“Yeah! Yeah!” Kyle cut the AI off as he pulled on his pants. “I know I need to wear that god forsaken mask!” He shook his head, reaching for a plain gray t-shirt. Squinting he said, “Is there an update on Earth’s destruction?”
🎶You don’t wanna hurt me
But see how deep the bullet lies
Unaware I’m tearing you asunder🎶
Scion was silent for a moment, the white sphere suddenly blinking from blue to red. “The Earth will perish in exactly one week, two hours and eighteen seconds.”
Kyle took in a deep breath, pulling his shirt over his head, then exhaling as he smoothed it down over his abdomen. “There’s absolutely no stopping it huh?”
“No, Kyle. Scientists have exhausted every possible Idea and effort. Without the female elemental, Earth can not function properly.” Scion explained, sadness creeping into his tone.
“Can’t they just find another one?” Kyle threw his hands up. “She can’t be the only one!” He ran his hands through his hair, then reached for a pair of black socks.
“She is the last of her kind. There haven’t been any elementals identified, other than her, in the last six hundred years.”
🎶It’s you
It’s you and me
And if only I could
I’d make a deal with God🎶
“Then why did she leave?” Kyle spat, his brow furrowing. “Turn off the music!” The music instantly stopped. He took another deep breath. Then softly, “Why did they take her off of the planet?”
“No one knows.”
Kyle stood, shoving his feet into his shoes. “That’s bullshit! I know there’s got to be more to it than that! I can’t, for a second, believe that she would allow her home world to simply go to shit!”
Apprehensively, he made his way into the living area, instantly scowling at the stack of teflon crates scattered throughout the room. His mother had insisted on using the outdated crates to pack away their most important belongings. He tried to talk her into using the lunar crates, but she just wouldn’t hear him out. She never really listened to him anyways.
Continuing to stare at the crates, he groaned. “Scion, turn on the news.”
“Turning on the news.” A clear screen descended from the ceiling next to Kyle, flickering to life. “Would you like your usual for breakfast?”
“No, I’ve lost my appetite.” Kyle scoffed, stepping in front of the invisi-screen just in time to see a perky blonde newscaster appear. He was about to tell Scion to change it to a different channel, but something about the newscaster made him pause.
“Good morning, New York! I’m Chaney Willis, here to give you up to the minute reports and to keep your day running smoothly!” She smiled, appearing happy, but her green eyes were telling a different story. “Danings has the day off. First, we begin with this week’s future cast! Bob?” She kept her fake smile as the camera switched its sharp eye on Bob.
“Thank you, Chaney!” His smile was just as faux. “Yes, it’s that time of year folks! Lot’s of acid rain will be coming down in the Eastern part of the city, while those ozone layers will be killer for the entire region!” His hands motioned over the screen to his left. “Keep those galvanized umbrella’s with you today and make sure you wear your red level masks!”
Kyle turned away from the screen, tuning them out for a few minutes as he looked for his favorite coffee cup. Damn it! Did she already have that packed up to? Fuck! If she thought for one second he was going to leave the house without at least having one cup of joe, she was sorely mistaken!
“And in other news,” Chaney’s voice raised as Kyle refocused on the screen. “Multi millionaire, Thomas Vittenhouse, who was acquitted of all charges last week, will be leaving Earth with his wife and son to the newest terraformed planet, Rayon.”
“Turn that garbage off, Scion! Now!” Kyle heard his mother shout as she came down the stairs, her heels clicking across the tile as she then quickly entered the kitchen. The screen blipped off, the image of Chaney fading away. Kyle stared at his mother through the clear screen. “Kyle?” She huffed. “Why do you insist on watching that trash?” She glared at him, crossing her arms.
Maybe he should have changed the channel. Nah, it wouldn’t have helped. His father would have been the top story with all the news outlets. He shrugged. “Well, some of us actually like to know what’s going on in the world.” She continued to glare at him. He smirked. “By the way, where the fuck is my cup?”
She frowned, her eyes flicking to the crates..
“Are you fucking kidding me?” He shouted, narrowing his eyes as he came around from behind the screen.
“Kyle? Did you accidentally take a memory wipe last night?” She put her hands on her hips. “You know you can’t have anything to eat or drink twenty four hours before you go into cryo! And as far as the news goes, there won’t be any more to report about in a week anyway.” She sighed, suddenly appearing more tired than upset.
Kyle groaned, slapping his left hand to his forehead. Shit. “You’re right! I’m sorry! I completely forgot! And don’t remind me! I know the Earth is falling apart!”
His mother looked down at the floor, her heart heavy. “We lost the last of our oceans just yesterday.” She said softly. “Not to mention all the-” She raised her head to look out the window, only to be met with a gray-black haze. “We can’t stay here any longer Kyle. There’s nothing left.”
“I know mom. I know.”
Throughout the day, the movers came and took all of the teflon crates, taking them to the shuttle that was exclusively reserved for the Vittenhouse family. After Kyle and his mother were through overseeing the movers, Kyle’s father had called to say that he wouldn’t make it to the apartment, and that he needed to tie up a few loose ends and would be meeting them at the shuttle bay no later than 8 p.m. ,and to go ahead and leave with the movers.
Kyle and his mother were used to him doing this. He was always caught up in one meeting or another. It was just how things went. Right?
“Where the hell is your father? I swear, he always likes to cut things a bit too close!” Kyle’s mother gritted her teeth as she paced back and forth on the shuttle dock.
Kyle gave her a concerned look. “Mom, you know dad has never been on time in the whole history of ever. So, why would he be on time for his own departure?”
He looked down at his right wrist, pressing a small hidden button near the base of his thumb. The flesh on the top of his wrist went transparent, the time blinking in bright white: 8:30 p.m.. He then tapped the film and it slid to the next screen.
According to the red dot that indicated his fathers current position, he was only two blocks away. He tapped the screen twice and his skin reappeared. He looked up, stepping over to his mom, gently taking her by the elbow.
“He’s almost here, mom. Let’s just head on inside and get situated. Ok?” He gave her his most convincing look. You know where your eyes plead with everything you’ve got?
She nodded solemnly, glancing over her shoulder towards the shuttle gates, then back at Kyle, tears forming in her eyes. “Alright.”
When they boarded the shuttle, an uneasy feeling wormed its way into Kyle’s gut, but he quickly shook it off. He didn’t want to add to his mother’s anxiety. Silently, he led his mother over to an awaiting AI who was standing by the cylindrical cryo chambers.
“Hello, Mrs. Vittenhouse! Kyle Vittenhouse! My name is Francis!” A creepy smile crept its way across his face as his laser blue eyes studied Kyle and his mother. “I will be helping you this evening. We will begin the process in approximately five minutes! Is there anything I can do for you while you wait?”
“How long will it take to get to Rayon?” Kyle asked, his gaze sweeping over the cryo tubes.
Francis blinked a few times, then pointed to the chamber closest to them. “It will take fifty years, Kyle Vittenhouse.” He then flicked his wrist and a holographic image of circuitry appeared in front of him that quickly turned into a cosmic map. “Your journey will take you through vast amounts of space.” He pointed to several galaxies, then held his finger over one. “Rayon is located here, in the Andromeda galaxy.”
Kyle blinked several times, then looked at his mother. “Are you ready for this?” His mother nodded slowly, her face paling slightly.
“Do not worry.” Francis said, the hologram clicking off. “It’s perfectly safe! Also, the beautiful thing about cryo sleep is that you won’t age at all. You will remain the same.” He looked around. “Will the other Mr. Vittenhouse be joining you?”
Kyle’s mother turned back towards the entrance, frowning, then flicked her weary gaze back to Francis. “He should be along shortly.” She breathed, then bit her lower lip.
Francis’ laser blue eyes faded for a second, then he smiled. “It is my duty to inform you that when you awaken, it will be the year fifty eighty two. I have programmed the system to automatically download any relevant events into your memory centers that may happen while you’re asleep. Any questions?”
Kyle and his mother both shook their heads.
“Excellent! I will get started with the process.” Francis smiled, reengaging his hologram.
Kyle’s mother studied her cryo chamber as Kyle quickly checked his wrist again. The red dot hadn’t moved. That slimy sinking feeling returned and he put a hand to his stomach. He tried to reason with himself that the sick feeling was because he hadn’t eaten, but deep down he knew something was very very wrong.
“Mrs. Vittenhouse? It’s time.” Francis said as he motioned for her to lay down in the chamber.
“Kyle,” she choked, a flash of unease in her eyes, “will you wait for your father?” Her gaze drifted once again to the shuttle entrance.
He reached out, taking her hand, squeezing gently. “Of course I will, mom.”
She nodded, pushing her curly blonde hair back from her face. She cleared her throat as she looked at Francis. “Ok. Let’s do this.”
Kyle watched her slim figure disappear just below the cylinder’s glass door, keeping what he had discovered to himself. She looked back at him through the glass, waving. He waved back, then blew her a kiss.
“Would you like to listen to any music on the trip, Mrs. Vittenhouse?” Francis asked, waving away the hologram.
“No thank you, Francis.” She whispered, closing her eyes.
Francis waved his hand over the cylinder door, then pushed a few of the buttons along the side and the glass instantly froze over, sealing her inside. There was no movement. Kyle’s mother was frozen in time.
Kyle nervously checked his wrist once more and saw that the red dot, representing his father, had disappeared entirely.
Shit!
“Francis! I need to be put under! Now!” Kyle ordered. “Then I need you to take off immediately! Don’t wait for my father!”
He looked at Kyle as if he were crazy, but swiftly complied.
Something was terribly wrong! Kyle laid down in the chamber, a wave of nausea passing through him. Sweat beaded up on his forehead as Francis stood over him, pushing the same buttons that had put his mother to sleep.
“Any music-”
“Sure! Anything 80’s!” Kyle blurted.
Francis nodded, pushing the last few buttons, then waved his hand. Kyle watched as the glass above him froze over just as Every Breath You Take by: The Police filtered into the cryo chamber and a shiver slid through him, plunging him into darkness.

Any love that lasts all challenges is the love I want to read and the only love I want to read. Real life love is fickle and selfish, give me the over the top fiction love any day
Wonderful short story. Leo...slice through the universes and come find me.
Dead End
A FLUX Alternate AU Short (Or is it?)
The hard edge of the bricks, that lined the outer edge of the roof, cut into the fur on the backs of my thighs as I stared down at the busy New York street below. It had been more than six months and I hadn’t heard a word from him.
Not one single breath.
And I'd give ANYTHING to hear Leo and Raph fight! Crazy as that may seem.
I'd give anything to hear them scream. To hear them cuss one another out.
At least they'd be here.
My mind seems to be chasing more than a few ghosts these days. Because just a moment ago I could have sworn I heard him and his brothers shouting somewhere behind me.
I laid my ears back, closing my eyes as a tear escaped, rolling down to disappear in the fur on my cheek. Where did we go wrong? Where did I go wrong? This reality? It’s not the same without him. This world has lost its magic.
I.
Have.
Lost.
My.
Magic.
I don’t know how to get home. Not without my powers. Not without Donnie. Not. Without. Them.
I’m trapped. Stuck in my fox form. Forced to hide from this world as he and his brothers do.
But I’m on the other side of the glass.
I don’t know who to turn to.
I don’t know where to go for help.
There’s no Shredder here.
No April.
No Casey.
I’ve looked.
It’s all different.
This reality is entirely void of anything related to them. Everything is much more bitter here. No one seems to be kind.
A cold breeze blows through my hair making me shiver. I pull Leo’s jacket tight around me, pressing my lips together. I remembered when he put it around my shoulders, his warmth making me smile. OH god! I miss him so much! And Raph….
I stretch out my legs, looking down at my fur clad feet. Winter was fast approaching. I had yet to secure a proper hideout and I worried that I might not be able to in time.
Sure, I was hiding out in the sewers where….
Ugh!
Exactly where their lair was supposed to be! But it was completely bare when I got there! Utterly void of their existence!
“I don’t know what to do.” I whispered to myself. Cause who else would I be talking to?
“How about ya stand up and give me a hug for starters?”
My stomach tightened, my eyes widening. No way. I slowly turned my head, my eyes landing on the mountain of muscle that was literally one of my soulmates. His arms were outstretched, his green eyes sparkling.
“Did ya really think that we’d stop lookin for ya?” He smirked.
“Raph?” I said, disbelief fizzling away as I stood. “I can’t believe it!” I shouted, bolting for him. The second I made contact with him, every fiber of my being came to life, sparking up my power deep inside me.
Faintly, in the distance I heard Donnie shouting that Raph had found me. I immediately recognized the tone of the voice that followed.
Leo.
In all the fabric of space and time, I'd never forget that voice.
I peeked up over Raph’s shoulder as he lifted me up in his arms, holding me tight against him.
There he was. His blue eyes locked on mine. “Leo.” I whispered.
After a few quick pecks on the lips, Raph set me back down, chuckling, and I sprinted around him, practically leaping into Leo’s arms as he kneeled down, arms wide. “I thought I’d lost all of you!” I cried, nuzzling my nose into his neck.
“Never.” He slowly stood, pulling me up with him, then picking me up bridal style. “You’ll never lose us.” He smirked. “I’d slice through every universe. Implode a million suns. Before I ever stopped looking for you.”
My heart raced as I turned my head to see Mikey and Donnie standing near what appeared to be some sort of capsule. Before I could ask what it was, Donnie cleared his throat, then smiled. “Heya, Star. We had a hell of a time finding you, but I was finally able to use the bond you have with Raph and Leo to find you.”
I looked back at Raph, holding my hand out to him. He smirked, then gently took my hand. “And now I’m just ready to go home.” I laid my head on Leo’s shoulder, a sigh escaping my lips as my power returned to full strength. “The usual way.”
“Hell yeah! Cause that capsule is wayyy too small!” Mikey laughed as I raised my hands, creating a portal directly behind him.
Author's Note:
I always have alternate versions of FLUX floating around in my head. This is just one of them. The love between Leo, Raph and Star gives me sheer joy. They would never stop trying to find her and she would always go to any length to find them. There's just no seperating them. EVER. I know it may seem cheesy and a over used trope, but thinking about them gives me a place to just quietly be.
