So here is the thing

I've always been self conscious about how do I look when I smile my widest smile, don't get me wrong, I love my smile and I think it's the only cute thing about me, but I just don't like how does I look when it's wide and all my teeth are showing (both of my Jaws are prominent so it looks like all my teeth are leaving my mouth) and I always end up covering my mouth while feeling delighted

BUT since now I'm an adult who's earning her own money I decided to have an orthodontist soon

How do you think Wakatoshi, Osamu, Daichi, Kyoomi and Iwazumi would react about getting a braces?

I am doing alright, I have been working on a Meian and my Osamu oneshot, but my sleep schedule is kind of messed up right now. Hopefully I will be able to finish them this year! :D

Let’s get to your ask regarding the reader getting braces! I apologize in advance I have like zero experience with that and I have never known anyone with braces :’D

Wakatoshi-kun…. Hmmm….. to be honest I see him being supportive but also confused on his partner getting braces. BUT. He would drive his s/o to the dentist and also pick them up. Honestly the best caretaker when it comes to comforting you pain wise. I don’t know about his cooking skills, I know he can do like basic things and he would be so careful with you. Gentle giant 🥹

Samuuu… I feel like he will be an asshole about it in the beginning. Like make fun of your pain in a teasing way, take post-op braces photos for his memory album on his phone and tease you about those as well. Hot chef will make food that’s easy for you to eat while you’re healing up. Husband material <333 picks you up after your appointment and closes his restaurant earlier just for you❤️ if dinner rush is too bad, he’ll make his brother pick you up. And Atsumu would take so many pics to send it to Osamu.

Captain Daichi 🤔 Daichi would take the day off to drive and pick you up from the dentist. I even think he would wait in the waiting room for you to be done. Already has a few meals prepared that his mum suggested for you to eat. He a great boyfriend <333

Omi-kun, our germaphobe beauty 🤤 Kiyoomi would only drive and pick up if it’s absolutely necessary and if seriously no one else can take you. At home he would make sure you take your pain meds exactly on time and would scold you if you take them five minutes later than the time you’re supposed to take them. Will 70% be a teasing asshole about your situation (pain-wise, swelling wise). Willingly gets you easy-to-chew-food and would go to the pharmacy at 11 pm if it means getting you more meds because of your pain.

Iwa-chan. Man’s gonna take a whole damn week off to take care of you. Hubby material as well, no one can fight me on this. Sneakily take some pics as well, whenever you think you’re not looking. He’d so concerned about your pain levels, asks like every 1-2 hours if you’re okay.

As you arrive at the gym hall the next day in Osaka of the MSBY Black Jackals, you take a deep breath before entering

When you open the door, it looks like you already predicted the future

Lots of yelling, Sakusa and Miya looking ready to kill each other, Bokuto and Meian holding them back, volleyballs flying in every direction

Still with a blank expression, you begin to turn and walk out when Coach Foster calls out to you

“(Y/N)! You made it!“ 

Nine heads turn into your direction

It’s a stampede

After introductions, the first week was not too bad

Sure, it’s a lot more chaotic than what you are used to

After three weeks and a recent win against EJP Raijin, you and the team went out for drinks for your last night with the Jackals

4 glasses of wine and three Tequila shots later, you’re already at your limit and Meian or Shūgo, as you’re suppose to call him, is slightly intoxicated but not as bad as you

The two of you stumble across the sidewalk, leaning into each other while giggling like teens in love

As soon as you reach the train platform, you look into Meian‘s beautiful dark orbs and it seems like you two are magnets, because your soft lips collide with his own

The magical moment was interrupted by a police officer that scolds you both of the pda and to keep it low or at least wait until you’re both home

Utterly embarrassed you both apologize but you can still see the fire and passion swimming in his eyes from your steamy make out mere seconds ago

It seems like you’re both thinking the same thing because you’re inviting him to stay over at your place

The night is full of pleasure-filled moans, heavy pants and the sound of your headboard knocking against your wall for hours

The next day, you wake up with the biggest headache of a lifetime and a body so sore, that it takes you a full hour to get out of bed

Looking in the mirror you notice multiple dark patches decorating the side of your neck

Romero just gives you an incredulous look, not understanding where this is going

"I am the bug.” You clear out

The Wing Spiker still doesn’t get it, so you hiss in his ear

"I had sex with Shūgo two nights ago.”

“YOU HAD SEX WITH MEIAN?!” He screams out

Ahem… yeah

The rest of the team turns to you, looking like a mix between jealousy and disappointment

"Really (Y/N)? I am so disappointed in you, you could do so much better.” - Hoshiumi

"At least it wasn’t Atsumu.” - Sokolov

"Shit, you’re right.” - Hoshiumi

"Why did you have intercourse with the Captain of our opponents?” - Ushijima

"Yeah (Y/N), you slept with the enemy!” - Heiwajima

"Guys, knock it off.” Your knight in shining armor, Hirugami comes to the rescue

Scoffing in annoyance, you give them the cold shoulder now

Thank Goodness Coach Suzaku wasn’t here to witness any of this mess

All of sudden, the commotion stops and you turn around to see a big tall figure with his black and gold MSBY sweatshirt hood up but you can’t make his face out yet as he sort of hides in the entrance doorway

The guys look extremely tense and almost ready to charge like hunting dogs

"Is… is that Meian?” Heiwajima tilts his head and squints his eyes to see better

It seems like Heiwajima is right because the person who pulls his hood down is no other than the captain of the MSBY Black Jackals

Romero stands next to you with crossed arms and a pissed expression while you are still in shock

Meian waves you over to him and you are about to walk over when Fukurō stops you

"Wait here”

You obey and watch as the Captain walks over to Meian and they both head out of the gym

"I hate that guy” Romero bites out as he walks away to practice with the rest of the team

You can’t take the waiting anymore and quietly head to the door to hopefully catch what they are saying

"I know I shouldn’t be here but-“

"You’re damn right! Be glad it’s me out here and not Romero, he would rip you into shreds.”

"I don’t care! It’s not like we are dating and I cheated on her-“

“So you took advantage of her and just left-“

“It was a Heat of the moment! And that’s why I am here! I do want to talk to her! I am not regretting what we did and I love her!”

Feeling your breath hitch in your throat, your face heats up a thousand degrees hearing Meian’s confession

"(Y/N) are you alright? Your face is extremely red. Do you suffer under high-blood pressure?” Ushijima asks you with concern in his deep voice

"N-No I-I am f-fine. I uh… I need some fresh air.” Pulling the door open hastily you step outside and completely forgot due to rush of adrenaline that Fukurō and Meian are standing outside talking

Both looking at you with raised eyebrows, Fukurō pats Meian on the shoulder once before heading back inside

The captain of MSBY gives you an extremely unsure look, almost looking scared to see you

"How much did you hear?”

"More than enough” You admit in shame

"(Y/N) listen… I am so so sorry what happened and if it seemed like I took advantage of you, I really wasn’t! You’re beautiful, smart and gosh your fiery personality just makes my heart go crazy… I know it’s only been a month we have known each other but the more we spent time together, the harder I fell for you… uhm what I am trying to say is uh… will you let me take you out on a proper date? Like dinner maybe?”

Smiling brightly you agree and make plans for next Friday after his practice is over

Walking back into the gym with the biggest smile on your face, the Adlers find it highly disturbing

At the next practice match with MSBY, you walk off the bus, excited to see your boyfriend again

Romero walks next to you and leans down to whisper in your ear

"I better not see you making out with him at games.” Romero growls under his breath

"Shut up Nicollas”

“Ughhhh…” you groan out in pain, as you lay on your side on the couch, a heating pillow resting on the lower part on your stomach.

Period cramps are a bitch but it’s still better than being pregnant, you’d rather take the pain over pregnancy any day.

Thankfully you have the day off, so you can wail in agony at home in peace, while your boyfriend is at his volleyball practice in Kodaira.

It’s late in the afternoon right now and Wakatoshi should be back soon from training.

Not even five minutes later, you hear the front door unlock and a sweaty 6’3 man with dark olive-brown hair and matching olive-colored eyes walks inside, taking off his shoes and neatly putting them aside and then putting on his slippers.

“(Y/N)? Where are you?” The Opposite Hitter asks while he looks for you in your shared apartment.

“I am here Toshi, I am dying.” You call back from the living room couch.

Frowning in concern, he quickly makes his way over to you, breathing out a sigh in relief when he sees you are unharmed. Well at least from his perspective.

“What’s going on? What makes you say you’re dying? You look in a normal state to me.”

Irked by his comment, you reply.

“Well, I am not in a normal state. I am bleeding the size of the Niagara waterfalls and my uterus cramps are killing me. Can’t you end my misery?”

Understanding now what you mean thanks to a prior educational lesson from his team captain Hirugami, he laughs a little bit at your dramatics.

“I love you too much to do anything to you, you know that. You go through this every month though right? And you are still alive and fine whenever it’s over.”

Growling a bit, you grit through your teeth.

“It’s super bad this month Toshi. I feel like Levi Ackerman is slaying the Beast Titan inside of me.”

Reflecting your words, he remembers the advice his captain gave him.

“How about this. You take a nice hot shower and I will order something for us. You want your usual from the Italian restaurant that we sometimes go to?”

Glancing at your boyfriend, you nod while still clutching onto the heating pad for dear life.

Slowly raising yourself from the couch, you waddle in your comfy clothes towards the bathroom for a nice hot shower.

Taking your time, Wakatoshi orders Italian for you, along with some sweet desserts that would help as well with your cravings and ordering some boba tea.

When you walk back into the living room, in your Pusheen pajamas, you almost get teary eyed as you see your favorite food along with a tiramisu, chocolate lava cake and strawberry panna cotta.

What did you do to deserve this guy?

When Wakatoshi walks from the kitchen inside the living room and sees your teary face, he thinks he has done something wrong.

“Did I do something wrong? Do you not like it?”

“Waka… W-Wakatoshi t-this is so n-nice.” You let the tears stream in happiness, your hormones going crazy.

Perplexed by your behavior, he sees you walking towards him and you give him a big hug while soaking his shirt with your tears.

“Eat something my love, afterwards we’ll watch some more of ‘Twenty Five, Twenty One’.” The brunette suggests.

You cry even harder at your partner’s sweetness and soft-heartiness.

A/N: I am gonna do something a little bit different this week, I recently watched a new show on YouTube called 'Helluva Boss’ and the newest episode they released had one of the seven sins characterized. Sooooo….

I am gonna post something every day for the next seven days for one of the Haikyuu!! characters to represent each of the seven sins.

Day 1: PRIDE: Wakatoshi Ushijima

It‘s his strong arrogant pride that made you draw to him in the first place. His confidence on the court is overpowering and his intense eyes find yours in the crowd at a Schweiden Adlers game. His gaze is burning into you, you see him give you a slight nod. Feeling your face flush, your focus is on him and his strong figure the entire game. After the game is over, you wait in line to get a signature on your jersey. With timid steps, you get up to the table, looking straight into his olive green eyes that have a hint of a golden shine to it.

"G-Good Game, you were amazing out there."

"Thank you.“ His deep-rich voice is giving you chills but in a very good way.

Signing your jersey, he hands it back to you, quietly telling you to look at it when you are alone.

Once you are in your car, you see a little side note under his signed name and a phone number.

"Come to my next game, you will be in for a surprise. You will see I am not only good in volleyball.“

Ushijima Wakatoshi was known as the calm and collected boyfriend among his friends and teammates. He had a serious demeanor and a focused attitude towards his volleyball career. His girlfriend, Y/N L/N, on the other hand, was the complete opposite – energetic, lively, and always bursting with enthusiasm.

One sunny afternoon, Ushijima and Y/N decided to spend the day at the beach. As they arrived, Y/N immediately ran towards the water, eager to splash around and build sandcastles. Ushijima followed behind, his pace steady and composed.

"Come on, Wakatoshi! Let's play beach volleyball!" Y/N exclaimed, grabbing a ball and bouncing on her toes.

"Yeah! Nature is amazing, isn't it?" Y/N grinned, slipping the shell into her pocket before skipping ahead again.

Later, at dinner, they sat across from each other in a cozy seaside restaurant. Y/N eagerly scanned the menu, her eyes lighting up at the descriptions of various dishes.

"I think I'll try the seafood pasta," Y/N decided, closing the menu with a satisfied nod.

Ushijima placed his menu down and calmly said, "I'll have the grilled fish."

Y/N leaned forward, her excitement palpable. "Oh, that sounds delicious! I can't wait to try everything here."

Ushijima smiled softly. "You always find joy in the simplest things."

Y/N grinned back. "And you always know how to appreciate the finer details."

Throughout the evening, their conversation flowed effortlessly. Y/N shared stories from her day, recounting funny anecdotes and amusing observations. Ushijima listened intently, occasionally adding a quiet comment or asking a thoughtful question.

As they walked home under the moonlit sky, Y/N linked arms with Ushijima, feeling a sense of warmth and contentment. She glanced up at him, her voice soft with affection. "Thank you for today, Wakatoshi. I had so much fun."

Ushijima nodded, his expression gentle. "I'm glad you enjoyed yourself, Y/N."

"And thank you for being so patient with me," Y/N added with a playful grin. "I know I can be a handful sometimes."

Ushijima chuckled softly. "It's part of what makes you who you are."

They walked in comfortable silence for a while, the sound of the ocean providing a soothing backdrop to their thoughts. As they approached their apartment building, Y/N couldn't help but feel grateful for the balance they brought to each other's lives – her boundless energy and his calm presence creating a harmonious rhythm that felt just right.
