The Orokin have got to be THE most pompous and insufferable predecessors i know from any piece of media. Every new lore drop about them is "The Executors enjoyed a daily bath in the blood of children (no older than 3yo) taken from their slave's family and if one of the parents so much as shed a single tear they would be given the death penalty by the Ultra Mega Death Laser and their consciousness would be put on a shitty dog (not even a good dog)".
Their entire empire was a pile of bombs they built simply because they were absolute assholes. They're such fucking idiots that the intelligent garden tools they sent to terraform another solar system so they could colonize it too grew sentience and could clearly see they were fucking assholes so they launched an entire war against them. And then they tried sending a ship there and possibly fucked up the integrity of reality and time beyond repair. And then they made biological weapons to fight the garden tools but they couldn't control them either needing the few children that survived the aforementioned ship voyage to tame them bc BY PURE CHANCE they could do that. And then everybody got tired of their shit and killed them nasty during a system wide rebellion AND STILL one of their biggest assholes, possibly the biggest, managed to survived and managed to start ANOTHER FUCKING MASSIVE WAR and almost ate the entire solar system to fuel a portal to another system for himself only bc that's how special he thought he was.
By proxy or directly basically everything bad that has ever happened in reality has been because the Orokin are so goddamn self righteous they just make irresponsible and vainglorious decisions with catastrophic consequences and believe they will survive them bc they are gods incarnated. They're assholes to a magnitude i can barely put into words.

A: Call the crew wimps for not being able to handle a little hell, before firing a void beam at a random noise screaming at their long dead parents.
B: Enter void mode with their eyes closed to find out if they can see there without their eyes.
C: Facepalm and groan because they acquired a new fetish along the way.
D: Breakdown crying and calling for the Lotus/Ortis while clinging to their Kubrow/Kavat/Moa.
E: Complain that there was no one as sexy as Laurence Fishburne in the void.

because this game has always been soooo pretty
there hasn't been a more recent one of these, so after last night's tennocon reveals, i decided i would make it myself. choices are a combination of recent plot points and older ones that i don't recall having been on previous polls.

If you care about Jade Shadows spoilers at all, a major plot point of that quest is brought up here but this post is about the community being fucking insufferable. you have been warned
'oh my god they released a quest about straight people and childbirth during pride month' who fucking cares. why do you care so much honestly. At first I thought the 'if this character is straight I'm killing myself' posts were jokes but it's an old and tired joke if so. It is so obnoxious, and that's coming from the ultra queer™️ whose corner of the internet is saturated in queerness. Not everything has to be queer, and, god forbid, straight people (and anyone else) having children should be allowed to be discussed actually! are we 12 years old? why are people pissing themselves over this and screaming about how the fictional character had no agency? if your first thought when seeing a female character giving birth is to call them an incubator there is something deeply wrong with you.

hello fellow amir beckett warframe 1999 enjoyers
i am so happy to see so many people like him, i saw that poll going around asking who everyone plans to romance and its an amir SWEEP. i’m super excited to have more auDHD representation in this game, but therein the problem lies.
i come to you with a humble request (especially to the neurotypicals/allistics out there) to be a bit more mindful of how yall go about talking about him.
some of the things i see being said about him veer dangerously into the infantilization territory that is ALL too common with autistic characters in media, and its kinda disheartening to see. i wouldnt be saying this if it was a throughline for all the male characters (or any of them for that matter), but im hard pressed to find any of these kinds of comments about arthur, quincy, or even aoi. things like “oooh my little baby boy i want to squish his cheeks hes so adorkable hes my little blorbo my poor mentally ill baby” ring way way different when it’s pointed at the one (canonically) autistic character that got released.
like i said i’m super pumped that people like him!! i love him and can’t wait to get to see more of his character development in the coming updates. all i ask is people try and be a bit more mindful of the way that they talk about this. as eleanor said: “He’s not a beautiful, broken marionette, and he’s nobody’s project. He’s one of us.”

Arrioe paces.
He paces back and forth in his orbiter, glancing at the comm nervously. This didn't make sense. Rell was dead. Dead. Dead and Harrow was...
Well, one Harrow was with him. In storage. Not the original. But even he wasn't that aware. Not without Rell. Not without-
There's an echoing laugh and Arrioe catches a flash of himself in the corner of his vision. Himself but not himself.
He closes his eyes. Something was wrong. He feels unease crawling up the inside of his throat. Something was Wrong. Something that was so far out of his control it was making him dizzy. Arrioe grabs the railing next to him, trying to steady himself.
"...now is merely a facet of a great block."
Arrioe's head hurts. He grits his teeth and closes his eyes.
"Her parents will survive. Her parents will die."
More laughter.
"Shut up!" Arrioe snaps around to grab the figure next to him, but it just grins at him and disappears when his fingers connect. He's breathing heavily.
He needs to- he never wanted to know how it all worked. It was too painful confusing. He needs to talk to Gomaitru. To Dissel. Someone. He needs someone else to figure this out. To explain. To tell him everything was fine.
His legs feel weak. He sits down. "Set course for- for Deimos," he says, mouth dry.
