Sorry to bother you both, but have you seen (name) anywhere today?" The neighbourhoods favourite artist asked Julie Joyful and Frank Frankly, interupting their conversation.
"Oh sorry wally! I havent seen them at all today! Now that I think about it, they seem quite off the day before, right Frank?" Julie looked back at Frank, looking for some kind of answer
Frank nodded after a bit of thinking and looked at the yellow puppet "why dont you ask Eddie? He's probably delivering mail right now"
Wally thanked the 2 and made his way down to Eddie Dear's post office and asked him the same question.
"Sorry Wally" Eddie started, back facing Wally as he sorted out mails and packages. "I havent seen em today either, I will stop by their house later on, if you want I can report to you what I find"
Wally shaked his head "no that wont be necessary I think I'll just head over to their house instead, thank you Eddie"
You and Wally were suppose to have a painting date around the woods of the neighbourhood, but you never showed up.
After a bit, the yellow puppet arrived at your home and knocked a few times, when there was no answer he started to get worried.
He knocked again "hello~? (Name), its me Wally. Are you alright in there?" No answer
He pondered for a bit then decided to do something
"I'll come inside then (name)"
He entered your house and stood at the entrance, waiting to hear something, anything from you but again no sound can be heard.
Wally went up the stairs to your bedroom and knocked, "(name)? Are you alright?"
He opened your bedroom door slightly and peaked his head in, the sight he saw was you propped up on the floor dozing off with papers scattered around the floor.
Wally walked up to you and crouchrd down, shaking you a bit to wake you up.
You opened your eyes and groaned a bit "wally...? What are you doing here? Were suppose to meet tomorrow..."
"It IS already tomorrow (name), you didnt show up at our meeting place" He answered you with his signature smile and lazy eyes.
Once he said that did you finally gain your senses, you looked around to see the sun shining through your window, then at the clock and back at Wally
He didnt seemed bothered at the slightest, making you feel guilty. "Im... so sorry Wally I didnt- I should have set an alarm! I didnt realised I dozed off last night oh no!"
Wally placed his hand on your head and shaked his head, the smile still on his face "dont worry about it, I was worried something happened to you, speaking of which...whats with all this paper scattered about?"
You scanned the area and finally remembered what you were SUPPOSE to do the night before
"I was... trying to prepare a drawing of the both of us last night.. as a surprise gift to give to you when we meet up..." blush formed around your cheeks (if that was even possible) as you looked down to your hands, slightly embarrassed "none of them looked nice so I kept on trying to draw a better one... i guess I lost track of time and the next thing I knew, I've already fallen asleep"
The yellow puppet laughed at your words, "ha.. ha...ha" some puppets thoight the way he laughed was iffy or strange, but you never thought of it that way, in fact when he laughs, it washes your worries away.
"Oh dear (name) I think all your drawings look lovely, I would have appreciated all of them either way and Im sure you know that" he gave you a closed eyes smile reassuring you, making you smile a bit. He took your hand and stood up "lets just spend the day at your place, you seem pretty tired so lets just relax"
You nodded and lead him to your bed as you layed on it Wally following along.
He attemped to hug you, but ended up limp in the process making you laugh "youve gotten slightly better at this Wally"
"Im glad, the concept of hugging is still strange to me, ha.. ha.. ha..."
Comfortable silence ensued and you started feeling your eyelids drop, before you made your way to dreamland, Wally kissed your forehead and said the following words,
"Have a wonderful trip to dreamland, I'll see you there, Darling."

Synopsis: A new neighbour just popped into welcome home, surprisingly their colours and style isnt quite the same with the other residents, everyone is entrigued with them but the town artist Wally Darling has his eyes on this new neighbour moreso than the rest.

Everyone got news from Eddie dear that a new neighbour will come into Welcome home and become it's 10th resident, everyone was excited that the day before your scheduled arrival, the residents kept on talking about the kind of puppet you are what you'd like and all the fun things theyd do with you.
Finally the day has come, Welcome home was about to welcome a new resident. Before you step into the neighbourhood you took a deep breath, preparing for the reactions you'd get from the puppets here. You were confident in your style of course, but there are times where words have an impact, but you sucked it up and made your way into the town. Everything was brightly coloured and rainbow, opposite of your colour scheme: black, dark that of which could be compared to what most would wear on halloween.
You were in awe with how the neighbourhood looks that you didnt realise all the residents in front of you eyes widen prepared to welcome you.
"Welcome to Welcome home new neighbour!" Julie said with excitment making you look at her and the rest of the puppets.
"Oh! Thank you!" you smiled and waved "my name is (first and surname) I hope we all can get along well"
Sally and Julie went up to you with sparkles in their eyes
"My name is Sally!" Sally started "Woah! Youre wearing all black! What a contrast to the rest of us! You look like the moon"
"I agree with Sally! I love your outfit so much! My name is Julie Joy"
You laughed and thanked them both before looking at the other residents. One by one they introduced themselves and complimented your style. Wally Darling was the only resident who was more interested in you than the others, but he cant pinpoint why
Maybe its the way you dress yourself
Or maybe its how confident you are with how different you look

Whatever it was, it was enough to get him to lead you to your new home and make small talk.
Wally wasnt really known for small talk, all he does is smile and listen but with you it was different.
You felt it as well with him, although you did most of the talking, the fact that he wanted to listen and even asked questions made you happy.
The little get together with the rest of the neighbourd went well and was fun. From that day forward you were offically known as Welcome Home's 10th resident.
Little by little you started hanging out with Wally Darling more and everyone could see the contrast between the 2 of you more and more by each day.
It's not just how you both present yourself, but also your personality. Wally was calm, curious and collected. You were boisterous, confident and always ready to learn new things, despite all that you both still find things in common and everyone found that amazing.
You both made it offical after a while and became the towns couple. Its a shock really if you both didnt become the talk of the town, puppets were awed, envious (in a good way) and admired you both. You both are a contrast to eachother but have a lot in common. No puppet can understand ehy or how but as long as you both do, theres really no need to ponder more on it.
Wally Darling who's colour scheme is all rainbows cant be more happy to be with (name and surname) who's colour scheme is all dark like the moon.

Ok, and you do a SFW/Fluff of Wally Darling x Y/N who is pregnant (I donβt even think itβs possible that puppets can be pregnant but I guess roll with it π )
So, can you do headcannons on marriage + pregnancy (If youβre comfortable with writing that. I donβt know why I just think sense heβs in a kids tv show and is overall calm, I think he would be amazing with kids) gender of children/kids if there will be multiple are up to you, doesnβt really matter.
Also I think you would be cute if we got a small reaction from the neighbors of the marriage and or pregnancy! Like how would the whole neighborhood react to this?

You and Wally Darling have always been Welcome Home's "it" couple, so imagine the happiness everyone felt when the two of you got married, and imagine the shock everyone felt when you got pregnant!
When you found out you're pregnant you couldn't contain your happiness
You had to tell Wally ASAP after he came back from Barnaby's place
You like knitting so you thought it'd be fun to surprise him with knitted baby clothes, so you got straight to work.
Wally came home at around 1 PM, right after lunch. "Darling I'm Home!"
"Over in the living room dear!" You called, and he made his way to the living room.
Seeing your giddy expression has become one he's used to, but Wally had a feeling that something was different "Darling, you seem really giddy today, did something happen?"
To his question you grinned wider "Im happy everyday with you dear, but I suppose you can say the reason as to why is..." trailing off you picked up the yellow knitted baby outfit you have finished in the morning
Wally couldnt believe it.
Mr. Darling had always been known to have the same expression no matter what, but hearing this news caused him to have his jaw dropped to the floor (quite literally)
Most people would take this as a bad sign, but you knew Wally better than that. You could tell all sorts of emotions and thoughts ran through his brain
"I'll be a father? This can't be happening!" "What a miracle!" "Ill be the best papa for my son or daughter... or both!" "Im so lucky" were just a few he manage to say to you before deciding to kiss you all over your face with his signature slow laugh.
All the other 8 neighbours were delighted to hear that youre pregnant! Thanks to Wally walking around and casually telling them of course.
Julie screamed with joy, hugging you jumping up and down (dangerously close to you) which caused your dear husband to kindly and gently, push and remind Julie to be more careful. To which she complied, causing you to giggle
Sally, a drama queen obviously giggled with joy as well, only she knew better than to hug you while jumping up and down. She promises to give your kid a show once they were old enough to understand.
Poppy was shocked and happy for you and wally, so much so the bird started baking you a cake as a congratulations. She promised you that if you ever had any cravings, just give her a call and she'll be more than happy to bake you something!
Frank was delighted to say the least, despite his face not showing it. You knew he cared. And Frank being Frank, gave you heads up on pregnancy, what to avoid eating, what to do when feeling contractions, letting you know the size of your baby etc. This is his love language, info dumping. He will come and visit Home whenever you need him. As he is Welcome Home's book worm.
Howdy was very delighted. Gave you a pat on the back as well as a hearty laugh. Howdy started stocking up on baby items like pacifiers, diapers and baby toys just for you in the shop
Eddie of course, was just as happy as the other members of Welcome Home. Being the Mailman, he told you that once your belly grows big and you can no longer walk, he'd be happy to deliver your mails and or deliver things to you.
It was delightful having so many wonderful and kind neighbours all around you! And having a wonderful husband made your pregnancy journey fairly easy despite its occasional ups and downs throughout the 9 months.
BONUS:
Once your daughter came into the world, everyone was in awe and took care of her like the niece they never knew they needed!
Wally was obviously a fantastic father, and you were a fantastic mother
When your daughter is old enough, he'd teach her how to paint and they'd go on father daughter dates around the neighbourhood. Painting all they can see and proudly showing their work to you once they get back
Wally would read your daughter bedtime stories to help her sleep
Maybe even throughout the day as well
Waddles up to her father and shows him a book
"Oh? Whats this my sweet peach?" He'd startd "you want papa to read you this book?"
With a gleeful nod she'd get on her tippy toes and give Wally a full clear view on the book
"My sweets its not even bedtime yet are you sure you dont want to save this for tonight?"
He ends up reading it to her anyways
His daughter is his greatest weakness
It made you feel at ease knowing that your daughter is surrounded by kind and loving people <333

Hi everyone long time no see! Sorry for the inactivity but I am in my final year of school so that's really taking a toll on me and my time :( I hope to return and open my request box as soon as I graduate or when the mid term break starts!
Anyways Ive been working on a request tht has been sitting in my request box for over 3 months!

HEY! WH FANFIC WRITERS! I NEED A LIL HELP (searching)
I was reading a really snazzy fic on AO3 (or wattpad) a while back but i can't remember the name of it/the writer.
It was one of those 'Y/N gets stuck in the neighbourhood' things, but they're living in spare room at Howdy's. (As well as working there)
A few other details i recall is that none of them knew about human medical stuff (but patches/sewing was a thing)
And that they can't go outside in the rain cuz it makes it hard for em to move (cuz literal living puppet-beings/muppets).
There was also this part in the beginning where Y/N needs some replacement part for their car but none were available.
If you know/recognize any of thse details/know the fic/author of it, PLEASE let me know. I'ce been searching for months and i heavily miss reading it and i really wanna catch up π
Realized im partly a bit of a big dumb-dumb and got 2 fanfics mixed up! (But the one with being Howdy's roomie was found! Tysm!)
Still also trying to find the one where Y/N gets stuck somewhere with their car and ends up stuck in the neighbourhood (due to needing a replacement part for their car).
Also, their phone goes missing (i think). Can't remember if they had a car accident or if the car just broke down. But the main thing is that y/n needs a new car part (a tire?)
