Benjy’nin sesi ve Quentin’in öfkesi. Faulkner’dan bir anlatım şaheseri. Karmakarışık bir olay örgüsü ve zamanı elinde oyuncak gibi kullanma beceresi.
Sanırım kurgu tek başına bu kitabı yüceltmek için yeterli. Ama ya kullandığı anlatım teknikleri?
Bilinç akışını kullandığı Quentin bölümü o kadar zevk verdi ki anlatamam. Metin akıyor resmen bu ikinci bölümde.
Kitap dünya edebiyatında okunması en zor 4-5 kitaptan biri. Bunun temel sebebi ilk bölüm olan Benjamin anlatıcısının zihinsel engelli birey olmasından kaynaklı. Ve bu bölümde zaman algımız yerle yeksan oluyor. Bir çok okuyucu bu zorlu ilk etabı kavrayamadan kitabı bırakıyor. Bu kısmı atlattıktan sonra kitap dikey uçuşa geçiyor aslında. Biraz sabredilirse sonrasında rahatça biter kitap.
Bu kitapla birlikte Faulkner fanı olduğumu açıklamak istiyorum. Sırada yazmış olduğu tüm kitapları okumak var.
