Many thanks to @nipuni for making me want to draw again ♥ Her FF art (any of her art) is just awesome! It's her WoL and Emet-Selch. Love them!!
Besides, the soundtrack of Shadowbringers is the best! 👌

An assignment I handed in at the beginning of the year, just me playing my usual game of "how many references and fanarts can I show before someone tells me to stop?"

Okay just to make it clear to you all. That game will not end with the next expansion. Yoshida himself said that this is more like the ending of a season and they planed already 10 years ahead so no worry there will be story for a long time.
Theory time!
5.3 spoilers, and I'm on mobile, so, uh, scroll down hella fast if you ain't got that shit blocked.

Right, so. G'raha says the next adventure is the final chapter of the star. Which is interesting wording. "This star." Well, the star, as we know, is Hydaelyn. She's the shape of the world now, having ousted Zodiark and splitting the ~true world~ and whatever. And we also know we're wrapping up the Hydaelyn & Zodiark arc.
So, in theory, if the two primals were destroyed or merged, or whatever the piss is going to happen, then the star would no longer be...the star.
I don't think they're ending the game in the next expansion. We might just be pulling some shenanigans.
And Bad Ends not just for WoLs, but potentially the Scions as well! One of my fave fics I ever wrote had Urianger get turned into a Lightwarden at the hands of a spectacularly messed up WoL. (That character was such fun to write for, as was the body horror scenario.) The possibilities for angst are truly endless!
Everyday I wake up and thank Shadowbringers for all the potential angst and bad end/lightwarden AUs the Light corruption arc handed to us.

Become the Warrior of Darkness. I love Shadowbringers so much and I'm still so proud of how this thing turned out all that time ago~

A bit older, but one of my tributes to Shadowbringers.
Raven hairs tips shifted to white, his shole hair gradually whitening, slightly glowing. His eyes shifted from gold to blue, until it was nearly white. When Ardbert fused with him, it's eyes stabilized in teal, and his hair retained their black color. That's for the more obvious physical change.
He became even more silent as the light corrupted him. But not because he was listening and observing. It became harder and harder to focus, white noise buzzing louder and louder in his horns, white snows obscuring his sight, and a dull pain suffusing his body. He goes trough the flow, thankfully mainly managing to parse what people wanted from immediate context. He did miss whole conversation, not managing to focus properly. But he mainly hide it behind his stoicism. He was very aware of what happened to him, but he pusjed through. Because he had a duty and was needed.
During Shadowbringers, how did the light corruption after slaying the Lightwardens effect your WoL?

Did the Eden raids storyline (which was a lot of fun), immediately thought of this the moment I watched the final cutscenes.
It's definitely nothing this time you guys, chill.

hair down Raha my beloved

shoutout to that time our twitch chat requested Emet-Selch, and for some reason we ended up with this.
my little meow meow mayor

based on an rp moment in which chai-nuzz genuinely accidentally (because i didn't realise the bunny suit unequipped them) walked out in front of two random WoLs with no trousers on
from the friday night request streams

Chai doodles, because they visited me in a dream last night and I woke up compelled.

Won't do anything more with this, but I liked the idea of it enough to share!

A little love letter to one of my favorite expansions! Shadowbringers is such a tumultuous time for Xel'ia, and it's when she's at her most vulnerable and most volatile. The light poisoning certainly doesn't help.
I wanted this piece to capture that. The presence of both Emet's and the Exarch's hands on Xel'ia feel oppressive and overwhelming. But where Emet's seem to be focused on pulling Xel'ia down, the Exarch's are trying to lift her up -- and if you look closely, you can see that he's trying to also keep Emet's leylines from tightening around her neck.
Xel's attitude towards the Exarch was not the greatest towards the beginning of the expansion, but I love that he was trying *so hard* to do the right thing -- she just couldn't see it at the time. Thankfully, she softens up over time towards him, seeing the necessity and good intentions of his actions, even when misguided.
