The screaming match had final subsided, the silence crushing down on the two siblings.
“What happened to us?” The youngest asked, tears brimming in their eyes, threatening to overflow.
The eldest looks up at the person they once swore to protect.
“We grew up.” They stated, face showing no emotions. Though a scream was clawing at their throat.
Their eyes were drawn to the tears dripping down the youngest cheeks. Blotchy skin and a runny nose coated their face.
The elder looks back to their feet.
“Or at least I did.”

Already in love with Luke… it’s always the bad guys isn’t it?
I have All the Young Dudes sitting open on a tab on my ipad but I feel so scared to start it. Like it’s a full on commitment and I don’t think I’m ready. It’s also hella intimidating. I’ve read Only the Brave and I’ve read Art Heist Baby! But this the ONE you know. This is like millions of people canon events of what happens to these wizards from the 1970s and I don’t know what I’m supposed to do with this decision.
P.S. More people should read Only the Brave.
