Amen. A clear sign that someone is cruel, immature and close minded is when you're opening yourself up to them and telling them about a certain delusion or hallucination you have... and they respond with some sort of sarcastic quip CONFIRMING that delusion or hallucination. If someone you love does this, they're either insensitive, ignorant or they do not love you back.
Some of yall know absolutely nothing about hallucinations and I highly encourage you to do some research on it. And I do not mean the once off hallucinations, I mean hallucinations that some people have regularly.
Not putting a diagnosis label on it because many different disorders will have hallucinations and I don't have any answer for my own at this time.
When it comes to visual hallucinations I do not know that I'm hallucinating a lot of the time, most of the time I'll be having what is seemingly a normal conversation with someone to me and no one understands this.
Also telling someone that is experiencing hallucinations that you can hear or see it aswell is so cruel and in no way funny
Im sick of no one bothering to do any sort of research on this and just calling me crazy
Sometimes I think having no friends would just be easier like I'm sick of running after friends who don't try back and people randomly disappearing on me
Id go insane without people though
Borderlines of Tumblr who have been either hospitalized or medicated (or both)... how did it affect you? What were some pros and cons of your experience?
I know DBT and other types of therapy are the highest recommended forms of treatment for those with BPD. I've been going to therapy for the past few months, and my therapist truly is amazing, but my loved ones and I have recently made the difficult decision that I need more intense care than I am receiving. We're not sure exactly what method to pursue, but the options on the table are medication and hospitalization. I don't know how I feel about either to be honest with you, I just know I can't live like this anymore. I'd like to hear some of your stories before coming to any sort of conclusion. If you'd take the time to comment or reblog or even privately dm me on this topic it would mean the world to me.
Thanks guys.
I enjoy novels with a bit of romance just like the next guy, but I'm getting sick of reading the same lame ass relationship dynamic where a masculine man with anger issues and overprotective tendencies (that end up paying off in the end) is with a feminine woman who has little to no personality besides sarcastic comments and sex appeal (and was obviously written by a man who had no idea how to write women).
That being said, does anyone have any book recommendations featuring a relationship dynamic that's more interesting and less misogynistic? Preferably where the woman is the dominant, masculine one in the relationship and the man is softer and more feminine.
(Bonus points if there's a kidnapping involved. I eat that shit for breakfast.)
