Love this Shawn Mendes song! I love the John Mayer-esque style of this song, and the raw emotion he has. Shawn Mendes has really grown since Handwritten, and this song from Illuminate highlights that perfectly. Not only does his songwriting have a lot more emotional depth, not that Handwritten didn’t have a lot of great songs, but his voice has become a lot better. His slightly raspy tone mixed with those guitar riffs really makes this song so special. He captures the turmoil in these lyrics perfectly. This song is definitely one of the best on Illuminate, even though it doesn’t get as much credit as his other singles.

Love this song from All Time Low! I love the story, and how he compares it all to Peter Pan and Wendy. Alex’s voice sounds great in this song, and the variation of intensity in his singing helps to tell the tale beautifully as well. Probably my favorite All Time Low song.

My favorite for KING & COUNTRY song! The lyrics of this song are so beautiful and pure, and I love the instrumentation surrounding it in this song. This song is constructed so beautifully, and this acoustic live version presents the lyrics as the forefront of the song, where they belong. I cannot say enough about these lyrics, and I love the emotion Joel and Luke give them.
