Bastila: Actually, Malak's a self-proclaimed Lord of the Sith.

Amnesiac Revan: Why so? Wasn't he supposed to become the Lord if the Sith after you'd killed Revan?

Bastila: I didn't kill Revan.

Amnesiac Revan: What?!

Bastila: Revan survived.

Amnesiac Revan: What are you talking about???

Bastila: Malak attacked the ship to destroy both you and me at once. In fact, he turned out to be a traitor. You lost the conscious, but I got you to our ship and saved your life.

Amnesiac Revan: Do you mean that...

Bastila: That's right. You're Revan. Unfortunately, you lost your memory after a brain injury you got after Malak's attack.

Amnesiac Revan: Wait... How...

Bastila: We gave you an identity of a dying smuggler just to save the Galaxy from Darth Revan's threat.

Amnesiac Revan: Pretty smart way, I must confess...

Bastila: But Malak found out you're still alive and now he desires to capture and then kill you...

What a shocking turn of events! If Bastila gave Revan the 'right' information from her point of view first before the 'Leviathan's revelation'... It could help her to win over Revan for some time What could happen then if Bastila did that? How would the events turn out? Malak... beware... I'm afraid Revan's totally getting furious at you! But has Bastila got enough courage to tell the story in a nutshell so that Revan'd prefer to take revenge on Malak not her... hmmm... And Bastila...
