Frankly speaking, I've always found the twist "it is because you were afraid" pretty disappointing (and even quite weak) rather than smart or intriguing. I've also thought (since the moment I played the game for the first time) that the Exile cut themselves from the Force because they had to. Maybe, unconsciously, but definitely because they had to!

maybe im a hater but i think the revelation of "it is because you had no choice" as opposed to "it is because you were afraid" its far more impactful. it just sucks that its so fucking hard to get that ending.

The great thing about Revan and Malak as a ship is that the two of them get to experience the person they love warping into someone unrecognizable, either through force-corruption or memory loss.

One of the jedi knights from the Dantooine Enclave: Now, we don't have many jobs on Dantooine after you left the planet. But we searched the surroundings for opportunities. After that me and my friends took to the road, and I found an old lady and rescued a cat. We each got an apple.

Mission: Aye... well, I guess you have to start somewhere.

Jolee: I'm sure this old woman was as delighted by your actions as we are.

Bastila: Well, if it had been our leader doing it, the cat would be lost, the tree burned down, and the old lady would be travelling with us now.

'I hope you like pain!' screams my character from Neverwinter Nights 2 lying on the ground and dying (aka Lillian Dragon/aka Kalach-Cha/aka Knight-Captain).

My thoughts: She's almost as frightening and tough as my Revan (aka Alexandra Forst), who concludes peacefully, 'That must've hurt!' looking at the corpses of the enemies around her.

On Dantooine:

Amnesiac Revan *speaking to Bastila and the rest of the Ebon Hawk crew*: Of course, I'm the best candidate to defeat Darth Malak! He'll be astonished when I demonstrate how I speak Wookiee and masterfully pick locks. I'm sure it'll blow his mind and he'll surrender immediately!

Bastila *sternly*: Why did Carth run out of the cockpit shouting that he didn’t want to talk about that?

Revan *innocently*: If you're so interested, maybe you'd better ask Carth about it?

I haven't been here for a while and, unfortunately, for a reason. Somehow the year began with some problems… including health issues - worsening problems with my leg and arm, and it happened that it was difficult even to work at the computer.

Despite that, I’ve had to work hard and have very little free time, since I need to pay off debts that are not even mine, but rather family ones, although, of course, I’d prefer to write kotor jokes and fics and enjoy myself instead.:D I don’t like to complain, just want to say that I don’t know how often I can post here within a couple of months or more… Plus, I have thoughts about other things apart from Kotor, and I don’t know yet whether it’s worth posting them here or not. What else can I say? Miss Kotor content and especially revalek!:)

Hardly a Fairytale (fic)

Malak's thoughts on Revan, his relationship with her over time and some (friendly) confrontations between them. (1119 words)

Description: Their story is hardly a fairy tale. Otherwise, one would have to call it a complex fairy tale with an unhappy ending.

Notes:

Despite such a description the fic contains a couple of happy moments too.

Sorry for any mistakes. English isn't my native language. If you notice some mistakes, please, let me know if possible – it would help me to improve both the story and the language.

I wanted to mix fluff, drama and a bit of angst together in this revalek fic. I’d like to have a better version and a longer text one day, but even this version took much more time than I expected. Probably, one day I will write a sweet fluff for Revan and Malak as they deserve that.

Perhaps, I will add the second part dealing with Malak’s thoughts on amnesiac Revan one day… but I’m not certain of that.

I've just realized that I haven't published fics in English for quite a long time... So strange but it took much more time to write this short fic than I expected. I've recently added a couple of paragraphs to the text, which I was writing while listening to Dark Paradise and Summertime Sadness by Lana Del Ray, and now I like the final version of the fic a bit more than before. Many thanks, @navy-draws , for sharing these (and other) revalek songs with me!:)

It occurred to me that if Carth hadn't talked to Saul and then got into a heated argument with Bastila, they might have managed to escape Darth Malak...

On Dantooine or Coruscant, when Revan is a kid:
