I just really love how Nikolai is everything Kaz' reputation makes him to be.

Kaz isn't born out of wedlock. Still he refers to hinself as the bastard of the barrel. Nikolai tries to hide the fact that he is a bastard for his reputation.

Kaz is the one called Demjin and treated like an actual demon. Nikolai turns into the demon people feat in Kaz.

Kaz has built rumors around his gloves, about having hands soaked in blood, hands covered in scars and having claws. Meanwhile all of these are true for Nikolai.

And the funny part is, when you talk about a powerful demon boy who is a bastard and hides his claws and scars inside of gloves, you would definitely think Kaz Brekker first. But it actually refers to Nikolai. In this they are direct opposites.
