A 16th century German flammenschwert, or "flame sword", so named for the wavy shape of its blade. The blade's shape meant it was less likely to break on impact, and would also send a vibrating shock to an opponent when parrying. This particular sword belongs to a friend of mine, who got it from his friend's father, who in turn took it off the wall of a German castle during WWII.

Time travel au.

But instead of waking up in his own Body, Arthur is still himself and gets to watch his younger self be a total prick to Merlin. At the same time, Arthur learns everything that Merlin has actually done for him.

(he also doesn't age).

So, he tries to help Merlin from the even deeper shadows.

And after Camlann, Arthur finally gets to be by Merlin's side again.
