Heyyy, To All My Questioning Queer People Tryna Figure Out Their Identities, Consider This:
heyyy, to all my questioning queer people tryna figure out their identities, consider this:
there is a big difference between what you ARE attracted to, and what you WANT to be attracted to.
what i mean by that is, let’s say for example that maybe you are a girl and you think you’re bi. you definitely feel attraction to girls, however you label yourself as bi because you think you would like to be in a relationship with a boy. but you aren’t actually attracted to boys. it’s just rather you like the idea of boys, maybe you even like some fictional ones, but you’re actually a lesbian.
that was just an example, idk, hopefully i got my point across ok. i just figured it might help some people to think about whether they’re attracted to a certain gender because they ARE or because they WANT to be. idk.

personally between my OCD and my autism i absolutely cannot stand being able to smell food
hey, do y’all prefer long or short skirts???
my answer: both :D
Sooo i may have projected a lil too hard onto my self-insert..
“But still. Being bad feels so much worse and more deserving of punishment when she does it. She doesn’t really think that anyone else in the group deserves to be hurt when they’re bad. But there’s a nagging voice in the back of her head that speaks up when she’s not perfect, when she’s bad.
And it’s like she’s lost something somehow. Like annoying someone just once is unforgivable and she’s lost her status as someone sweet and obedient. Someone that people might even like.
She hates making people mad.”
hey quick writing tip, this may or may not work but personally i’ve found that if you just force yourself to write, it is going to be absolute hell for the first 100–200 words, but after that it rlly starts flowing :D
hey, authors!! specifically Muslim authors!! i need advice!!
so—i really want to add a Muslim character to the book i’m writing. but i have some problems.
i know a bit about the religion but not everything, (i’d do more research if i added a Muslim character) but something i already learned about it was that Muslim people generally aren’t allowed to be close and/or physically affectionate with friends of the opposite gender. and i’m not completely sure if it’s true but i also heard they’re not allowed to be queer.
so that’s just the only thing that makes me hesitate to add a Muslim character, just because in the book i’m writing i have a big cast of mixed gender best friends, who are all very close, and if it’s true that Muslim people aren’t allowed to be close with people of the opposite gender, i just don’t know how i’d be able to write them in?? plus all of my characters are queer and i usually prefer to have a queer cast.
anyways i really don’t want to be disrespectful of Muslim people, so here are my questions:
is it bad or disrespectful to write a Muslim character who is close and/or physically affectionate with characters of the opposite gender??
and is it bad or disrespectful to write a Muslim character who is queer??
it it disrespectful to write a Muslim character who does any of these things?? or could it just vary from character to character??
i hope this post wasn’t offensive to anybody!! i was just wondering so i know whether or not to include a Muslim character, and if i do, how to write them!! (any other advice about writing Muslim characters is also welcome ^^)
