You were the one leaving,

And I just stood there watching you leave,

I didn't beg, I didn't even say a please;

And maybe you expected one from me,

But you know;

At that time I knew I'll never beg,

Because I believed in what's for me, will

But now as I'm writing this after years of our separation, Regretting that decision,

In these years I realised letting you go was like leaving the free world,

And signing up for a prison;
