"When Thered Starbleeds And The Darkness Gathers, Azor Ahai Shall Be Born Again Amidst Smoke And Salt

"When the red star bleeds and the darkness gathers, Azor Ahai shall be born again amidst smoke and salt to wake dragons out of stone."
"What fools we were, who thought ourselves so wise! The error crept in from the translation. Dragons are neither male nor female, Barth saw the truth of that, but now one and now the other, as changeable as flame. The language misled us all for a thousand years. Daenerys is the one, born amidst salt and smoke. The dragons prove it."
"Her coming is the fulfillment of an ancient prophecy. From smoke and salt was she born to make the world anew. She is Azor Ahai returned... and her triumph over darkness will bring a summer that will never end... death itself will bend its knee, and all those who die fighting in her cause shall be reborn ..."

I think people who say Emilia Clarke was a bad actor because she was “too stoic” are idiots. And most of them are misogynistic peasants as well. If you watch the first seasons, the whole thing about Dany was how open and emotional she was - and Emilia played this beautifully. When she took Astapor she went from Stoic to angry to compassionate and vulnerable all in a matter of minutes. I could feel the hurt and compassion she felt for the Unsullied when she told them they were free and could leave if they liked. She becomes more stoic later on because she becomes a queen. And not just a queen, but a conqueror ruling queen within a tumultuous state. She can’t wear her heart on her sleeve as she once did. But this doesn’t mean she’s always stoic, there are many scenes where she’s very vulnerable and emotive. It’s hilarious cuz the ppl who say she’s too stoic were the same ones saying she was too emotional. And most of them have the nerve to stan Stannis! And to say Emilia’s one of the worst actors on the show is absolute bullshit. ALL of the actors on that show were phenomenal. And Lena and Emilia carried the last seasons on their fucking backs. ESPECIALLY the final one.
Sansa got a crown and you guys have been bitter ever since. Sansa's decisions didn't make sense? She's the only ruler who cared about food for her people. She was a better queen than Jon about the North's independence. They wanted her instead of Jon. Stay bitter.

Sansa stans are really out here acting like dany is the only white character in asoiaf. they’ll say they hate dany for being a “white savior” or a “spoiled entitled white girl” but then uncritically stan Sansa who is just as white as dany is, and grows up way more privileged than dany did.
Well, you see Sansa is a red-head which makes her a white woman of color. She's actually the most oppressed character in the books don't you know? 😔
Their logic is so screwed up that I don't even know where to start. I have noticed that women (usually white ones ironically) do the same thing that men do and add "white woman" before their misogynistic statement as though that absolves them. So specifying that Dany is white before a statement putting her down is their way of justifying their hate. But ye olde hypocrisy kicks in and calling Sansa privileged is considered misogyny despite her being one of the most privileged characters in the books (along with the other Starks) + steadily benefiting from her privilege throughout the books in ways other characters don't. She isn't starving, on the run, lacking nice clothes, or a comfortable place to sleep, etc. like a lot of other characters are. And then, because she never lacks resources, she never even confronts this or how lower-class people are treated in contrast. It's just interesting that one character is the devil for being "privileged" even though they've lived a life of poverty and had to fight for everything they have, but another is the most "worthy" character in the books despite being even more privileged and entitled.
I'm puzzled by the idea that dynastic rot is unique to the Targaryens. None of the Houses are good. They're all imperfect. Of course, the rot is more obvious in House Targaryen because the author has written extensively about them.
We know about their failings and their successes. The other Houses don't really have that, and so many people don't read the supplementary novels or the main novels, which makes it easy to claim that violence is a uniquely Targaryen trait or that the Seven Kingdoms lived in peace until the Targaryens attacked.
I must admit, it annoys me when people frame the Targaryens as uniquely predisposed to violence, misogyny and abuse because everyone is rotten. Every House is imperfect, and every House has a history of dynastic violence to rectify.
Two of the many reasons I hate House of the Dragon:
-- They're doubling down on GOT's vitriol that "the best ruler is the one that doesn't want to rule" that they used to vilify Dany in the end.
-- They made Alicent and Rhaenyra into these peace-loving characters, and gave many of Dany's peace-loving qualities to them. Which led to a bunch of show-watchers (and plenty of book readers that don't know the books well) to believe that Rhaenyra and Alicent are better queens/more peaceful/more reasonable than Dany. These fans end up loving Rhaenyra and Alicent while hating Dany, even though the reasons they love show!Rhaenyra and show!Alicent are precisely the qualities that the showrunners stole from book!Dany and gave to them.
