Order Up!

You made your way across the street, breath visible in the air from the cold. You can see the cafe just ahead of you, the large windows allowing a glimpse at the other people inside. Coats draped over their chairs enjoying the warmth as they sip their coffee. You sighed slightly seeing everyone was there with someone. There was no one sitting alone at one of the empty tables for two, looking up and down from their phone and scanning the cafe.

You were the first one to arrive, so the person checking their phone and looking about anxiously would have to be you. You huffed lightly as you pushed the weighted door to the establishment open. Finding an empty table near the window you set your coat on one of the chairs and walked to the counter hoping to find something to enjoy while you waited on your date.

After ordering your drink you stood waiting, eyeing the door each time it opened and the bells on it chimed. Each time it was a different couple. Before you could turn your head at the bells again your name is called by the barista and you grab your drink from them, giving a 'thank you' as you do. You then feel a tap on your shoulder and hear a friendly "Hey!"

Turning around you see a man with pink hair, a yellow scarf, and a red top.

"Couldn't help overhearing, you're Y/N right? Name's Pokkle!" He held his hand out to shake and you giggled a bit.

"Yep, that's me! Nice to meet you Pokkle!" You shooke his hand and you both laughed a little.

"Sorry, don't know if you're supposed to shake hands on a first date or not." He laughed awkwardly and scratched the back of his head.

You both went to your table and he set his things down before getting a drink at the counter. He came back with the cup and sat down across from you.

"So, Y/N, what do you like to do?" He took a swig of his drink but teared up a bit as he burned his tongue.

"I'm into drawing, baking, and reading, but I like watching anime too." He nodded and smiled.

"So, you're a pretty creative person, nice! What do you like to draw?" He leaned one of his arms on the table as he listened. As you talked about the things you drew he took a sip of his drink, this time a lot more careful not to burn his tongue.

"But yeah, that's what I draw for the most part. What do you like to do? Do you draw too?"

"Pshh, not that well. I'm working on it though. I'm a magical beast hunter, I have to be good at sketches, especially of animals. They aren't great right now, but I've made some progress on them. Wanna see?" He made a grab for his messenger bag.

"Oh, I'd love too!" You leaned closer enthusiastic to see what he was able to draw. He dug around for a minute in his bage before pulling out a few papers.

"Most of em aren't magical beasts, I'm practicing drawing some more regular animals for anatomy. But these two are actual magical beasts." He pointed at two of the drawings.

"Oh my god these are so cool!" The drawings were not nearly as bad as he had made them out to be. They were done quite well and were even shaded quite realistically. "I don't know why you talk down about them, they're very pretty."

Pokkle blushed briefly and looked away. "Well, uh, anyways, do you like animals?"

You two continued talking about your hobbies and interests, you'd occasionally look back at the drawings and admire them. After pressing further he told you that one of the two drawings was of a more common magical beast found in woodland areas. They're pretty cute and they're herbivores so a lot of magical beast hunters practice drawing them since they sit still for hours.

The other one was an aquatic magical beast. Apparently the first one he'd found on his own but it was already a known one. You showed him some of the art you had made on your phone and you helped critique each other. Where to rework anatomy, how to fix the pose so it had more flow.

"Hey have you seen Harry Potter by any chance?"

"Yea I have! You?"

"Yep! Watched all of the movies twice." He had a very proud look on his face as he said that.

"I've read all the books. Don't get me wrong the movies were great, but the books had a lot of stuff that got cut out."

"Yeah, that's true, I've only read the first two but I did see the difference."

"Oh! What house are you?"

"I'm gryffindor I think, I took that quiz a while ago so it might have actually been hufflepuff."

"No kidding! I'm a gryffindor too!"

Harry Potter stayed the topic of conversation for a good while, just until both of your drinks now sat empty, foam staining the sides of the cups. You played with your cup's handle, fidgeting while you talked.

Pokkle eventually took notice of your hand fidgeting with the cup handle.

"Hey, sick tattoo!"

"Oh, thanks! It's a henna tattoo, I've got it on my other arm too." You held out both your arms so he could look at your tattoos better.

"They're beautiful, the detail is crazy! Do you have any other tattoos?" He looked from your arms to meet your gaze again.

"Yeah! I've got a couple more!" You showed him a some of your other tattoos, talking about where you had gotten them and what they meant for you. Pokkle thought they were all so beautiful.

"Do you have any tattoos?"

"Nah, not yet. I've been thinkin about getting one but I'm not sure what I want yet. I want it to be something important to me."

"What about a magical beast? You can draw them really well so you could even draw the tattoo yourself."

"Maybe, if I do get one though I'd probably want to get a tattoo of one that I discovered."

Both of you enjoyed your time, talking on and on as the hours ticked by. You'd both refilled your drinks a couple of times now. Pokkle never failing to burn his tongue trying to drink his too soon. Eventually you both had to leave as the shop was closing soon. Customers left and employees started stacking the chairs on the tables.

It wasn't quite as loud anymore, no more conversations from other tables drowning you or Pokkle out. Now the only others were people working or on their laptops.

Neither of you really wanted to leave, you enjoyed talking so much and there was still so much to discuss. But you still both had to head out for the time.

You both stood just at the door, finishing your conversation.

"This was awesome, I loved meeting you!" He said, his voice not as loud with no other patrons to speak over anymore. He had a very nice voice.

"I loved meeting you too, I'd love to do this again sometime!"

"For sure! Text me sometime, I'd love to hear from you again!"

"Will do!" You smiled and gave him a kiss on the cheek before walking off in your direction, waving goodbye to him for now.

He stood there with a big smile waving to you too before turning around and walking off as well. About 2 minutes later you felt your phone buzz. Opening it you found a new text from Pokkle.

Sorry for putting this one off! I started it not long after it was requested but it didn't save so now I'm starting it again!

-Cheetu would be caught off guard when you run up to him shouting "Hey Honey!"

-He wasn't weirded out or anything just confused, but then you caught up with him and with a nervous smile you looked him in the eyes saying quietly "There's a guy following me please pretend to be my boyfriend."

-"Oh hey Kitten! I was looking for you!" He winked at you and played along, if anything this is entertaining for him, but he still thinks it's creepy that guy is following you.

-"Who's that guy Baby?"

-"I don't know who he is, he's been harassing me."

-Cheetu will look him dead in the eyes and give him the above death glare of "I will fucking eat you."

-The creep will stop dead in his tracks and you can see the color drain from his face. He runs away like a dog with his tail between his legs.

-"Oh my gosh, thank you so much, I couldn't get him to leave me alone and I really thought he was gonna try and kidnap me or something. Sorry for roping you into this!"

-"No problem! I'm always happy to help a pretty lady."

-Y'all end up talking and exchanging numbers before parting ways.

-He's not sure why he didn't just eat you, but for some reason he just doesn't feel like it.

-He also gets a bit of an ego boost cause out of a crowd of people to ask for help you picked him, meaning you must've thought he'd be the best and toughest one to protect you.

-He definitely texts you later that night.

Because of my never ending curiosity, I must ask...what would Rammot and Pouf be like with a human S/O? Would they both be in denial about liking a human? Or would they just accept it? Would they be sweet with them? Or revert to total animal instincts with them? I'm just so curious.

I got some free time for some brief headcanons yay!

TW: mild smutt mention/brief yandere mention but headcanons aren't based on it/brief mating mention/mention of Pouf being beaten so you aren't

-I think for Pouf he would make it a huge deal.

-There's gonna be a lot of internal conflict on his part.

-At first he adamantly tries to deny his feelings. The king is his sole priority and purpose in life. Being in love with a human hinders his ability to carry out that purpose.

-He might actually be tempted to kill you at first, since you're hindering his ability to protect the king and therefore pose a threat to the king's very life

-He won't have the strength to do it though, even though he feels strongly about protecting the king, he feels just as strongly for you

-He's generally hesitant to ever talk to you at first and keeps the conversations brief. But as he gets to know you more, he finds thing after thing about you that he just adores and he can't help but start talking with you more and more.

-He of course keeps his feelings for you hidden from the king. If you aren't someone the king needs around and you don't serve him any purpose, Pouf will do his upmost to keep you away from the King as not to annoy him or risk your life

-If you're lucky the king will be tolerant of you. Especially if you have no nen or great aura quantities. He wouldn't have any interest in eating you that way.

-If you ever pissed off the king or annoyed him in any way and he was going to kill you or hit you with his tail, Pouf would step in holding back tears and beg the king to punish him on your behalf.

-Pouf would be frustrated at you angering the king but wouldn't do much about it. Once you're both in private though he would hug you and cry, glad that you're okay. Pouf can take quite a beating from the king and come out with cuts and bruises.

-But likely you on the other hand would die instantly.

-Overall Pouf, though briefly in denial, would love you a lot. He loves you as deeply as he cares for the king's safety. That's a lot.

-He definitely feels like he needs to protect you, especially given the situation of everything at the palace.

-He'd probably allow you in one designated area for you to do your own thing most of the day. Probably close to Pouf, out of Meruem's sight and not too close to the other ants.

-It's less of a yandere kidnapping sense and more of an actually keeping you safe so you don't get eaten or decapitated sense.

-With Rammot there'd be much less denial. Still a bit in the beginning though.

-He thinks very highly of himself and is mildly pissed that he could ever fall to such feelings for a weak human, likely one without even nen.

-But he'd get over that pretty fast. Especially if you give him food and are respectful by staying away from the food he's already claimed. (Those poor horses on stick jesus fucking christ)

-He'd try to woo them but he'd likely try the animal way first, and that just ends up confusing the hell out of them.

-But next he'd try to just be nice and tolerant of you. He has no idea how humans usually woo each other so he's just gonna try being nice.

-But if you do anything romantic at all like giving a gift or running your fingers through his hair, not only will he be thrilled that you at all reciprocate his feelings, but he'll mimic the hell out of you.

-Finally he knows at least one thing humans do to woo each other, he's gonna use it all the damn time.

-Maybe constantly getting you little gifts, often things from the villages they've devoured people from, and sometimes things like bones, straight up meat, and one time twigs.

-Apart from that y'alls relationship is very driven by his animal instincts. He's normally more run by them anyways so it makes sense that they'd be so apparent in his relationship with you.

-He's pretty territorial and that includes of you too. Starts getting more and more agitated before straight up violent with other people, creatures and ants if they get too close to you.

-Also the gifting you twigs thing was to maybe make a nest with you. Essentially his version of a risky text. But when you accepted the twigs (more so out of confusion) it sent his heart soaring.

-I do see him being a bit yandere, but he's less likely to go out of his way to kill someone for you. Only if they get too close to you or hurt you. Otherwise he just tells them to piss off.

-And yes he does have a mating season. Thank god for Uber Eats so y'all don't have to leave your house.

Hey how are you doing, if it’s not to much trouble could you give us an update on the Valentine's Day Event Asks from a while ago, sorry if it’s a bit much I’m just a bit curious as to how there coming along lol.

Hi, I'm doing good. The Valentine's asks are extremely late and I apologize for that. Originally I had wanted to finish them by the end of February, I now realize as it is May that that was a joke😅

I have only gotten to start one of them and I am still trying to find time to work on it. I am a college student and it's rare that I get much time to write between assignments. The Valentine's asks are also not formatted the same way as my usual headcanons and short fics in the form of headcanons.

The Valentine's asks are formatted like a regular fic, but the y/n is the actual person who requested it and I have to try and make the character act like the personality described to me in the asks. So they aren't only long, but pretty difficult to write. I enjoy working on them when I find time but it will take a while.

That's why when I do post stuff currently it's pretty short or in headcanon form. I can type that stuff pretty fast and it's just a stream of thoughts so I just type til I finish my thought.

I'll try to find more time to work on the Valentine's asks, I do want to finish them, but in the meantime I might also answer some of my other shorter asks since they take less time. And some of y'all have been waiting on other asks for a really long time now.

Oh my gosh happy birthday! I can totally do some headcanons for ya!

-With Meleoron, as long as you've mentioned when your birthday is, he's more than likely to remember or at the very least make a note of it so he won't forget.

-He probably started panicking on what to get you the week before and went to Knuckle or Shoot to help figure out what to get you.

-He probably went to get your favorite dessert early morning on your birthday so he could surprise you with it.

-And he would totally get you a present, it all depends on what you like, if you're into cute stuff, books, drawing, he brainstormed really hard to get you the perfect gift.

-And the way you celebrate the rest of the day also depends on you. If you really just want a low-key kind of day and to chill at home that's what y'all will do.

-Y'all could play video games all day, sleep in, order takeout, watch some shows together, he'll try his best to make the day special for you.

-But if you want to celebrate with friends, he'd probably start thr day low-key and end up having a little surprise party for you with all your friends.

-He isn't great at planning parties, but his friends are great help at setting everything up and he knows what you like and the little things about you so that it's the best party ever.

-He's normally very awkward at things like parties, but given that you're friends with everyone makes it much better.

-He'd send you a lot of cute 'happy birthday' texts throughout the day.

-Y'all would definitely cuddle at the end of the day and eat the rest of any desserts from earlier that day.

-He cares a lot about you and wants to make sure that you know on your birthday how much he loves you and how special you are to him.

HxH Random Thought/Headcanon Time

TRIGGER WARNING: Mentions of dissociating, torture (I'm talking the freaky renaissance torture stuff) abuse, and trauma

I wanted to talk a little about the fight between Gon and Hanzo. It's really intriguing to me because of how different Hanzo acts during the match, compared to his usual self.

I've gathered that he definitely didn't enjoy any of it and really tried to go easy on Gon. He looked extremely uncomfortable after breaking Gon's arm. And even though Hanzo is a master of torture, he really went easy on him. Throughout the whole match, Gon was beaten up pretty badly by Hanzo and of course, had his arm broken. But every time Hanzo would punch or kick Gon, he would only do it once and pause before punching or kicking him again. He gave him chance and chance again to give up.

And even when he tried reasoning with Gon, it was never demeaning or insulting. It was reasoning. And when he tried to reason with him again when he was doing the handstand thing, what he told him was, "At this point in time, you have no hope of defeating me." He said, "At this point in time." Not "Never," or anything the like. He could very well have caused Gon to need amputation of his arm or legs if he wanted by breaking his bones badly enough in several places so that they would be past repair. But he never did. In fact, when he did break Gon's arm it was a "clean break," and "easily set." Satotz even told Gon that his arm would be even stronger once it healed.

But something I noticed and have been thinking about is that maybe Hanzo was trying to dissociate during the match. When Gon and Hanzo first enter the match and are just walking to the center of the room, we see Gon looking at Hanzo and keeping an eye on his opponent. But when we look at Hanzo, we get a clear shot of him staring off at nothing. He looks like he's zoning out.

Now, I doubt that if he was dissociated that it was during the whole match if at all. Some sources have said that people are unable to talk while dissociated while others have claimed they are able to. But I think he would likely have been doing this out of habit and as a trauma response. And it would make total sense for him to do this. He is literally a ninja. I know it gets brushed off as "Oh haha, the weird ninja guy, is he from Naruto or something?"

But we actually see a glimpse of what Hanzo's training is like and it's brutal.

In the first image, it shows him and others being hung upside down by their feet. It isn't as if they're wearing a harness and just pull themselves back up when they want, their legs are literally bound together with rope or bandage and they're just hanging there. Have you ever tried hanging upside down on the monkey bars as a kid? You know how after a while it's painful and you get dizzy? They likely had to stay like this for a while.

The next image we were shown freaked me out a bit more. While not as extreme, this is very similar to "Quartering." An execution method in which the victim had each limb tied and attached to a horse and then they would have the horse go in opposite directions, ripping them apart. They are doing the same thing to him but with more ropes and people instead of horses. And they did this to him from a very young age. In all of these images (not just the two above), he always portrays the other people as taller or bigger and him being smaller. These are events that happened when he was very young. He claims to have been training from the day he was born (probably impossible) but to him, this might actually be accurate.

He had killed someone by the age of 12. It doesn't seem like a big deal because also in HxH is Killua a 12-year-old ex-assassin. But seriously. Could you imagine being made to do that before you were even 12? That is horrifying, not to mention any other traumas he may have experienced, and from what he shows us, they were awful. But this is where it makes sense that he thinks he's been training from the day he was born. Obviously, training is all he's been doing his whole life, I believe that but he was traumatized, there is no debate, there is no way he could have gone through all that without trauma.

When people are traumatized one of the responses is dissociation. It can be voluntary but also involuntary. With dissociating the person forgets everything that happened. It can protect the person from remembering a traumatic event. It really isn't a stretch to say he likely dissociates intentionally when he does things like torturing. He obviously has some coping methods (be them healthy or not) for when he's in those situations. When explaining why he didn't straight-up torture Gon he says, "I expect when I torture someone, my victim will despise me for the rest of their life. It's more effective and less stressful."

Having to torture someone who doesn't hate him is stressful and he literally admits it himself. He likely wanted to dissociate from the fight because it gave him a lot of emotional distress, but Gon just wouldn't hate him no matter what, hence why maybe he wasn't able to dissociate and became more and more agitated and escalated to threatening dismemberment of his legs. It's not like it was a short escalation, this was over 3 hours of him having to beat up Gon, something causing him a lot of distress, be judged and berated by the people watching who he had wanted to bond with some of them, adding humiliation to the mix, he is unable to dissociate and cope, Gon manages to kick him while his guard is down and cause him more humiliation and now physical pain, and the cherry on top is Hanzo's own impossibly high standards.

We've seen more than once during the exam that Hanzo has very high standards for himself, feeling defeated and like a failure when having to get more badges than he bargained for, and becoming angry with himself for coming in third place at trick tower.

It's really no wonder that he threatened to cut off Gon's legs and had a bit of a tantrum before threatening to just kill him. But keep in mind he never actually did it. And I don't think he actually intended to. I think he wanted to try and scare Gon into finally surrendering, and when Gon brought him back to reality with the reasoning of him being disqualified if he cut his legs off, he became frustrated and overwhelmed. He can't even speak for that moment and doesn't know what to say.

That's why he then threatens to kill Gon as a final attempt to make him back down. But he actually gives it away that he didn't intend to kill Gon at all. When He tries to reason once more and Gon explains that he needs to see his dad and that it's his only chance, Hanzo says, "So, logic had nothing to do with it," to himself. He thought Gon was playing mind games with him too, even more reason that he would become emotionally distressed so easily. But he was threatening Gon with killing him because he thought that it would break through any mind games he was playing and end the match.

But in realizing, it wasn't the case he finally gave up. That's why I just can't see Hanzo as a bad person.

I don't know a ton about dissociation, as I don't experience it and I am not a psychologist. I have done a lot of research on DID, but not dissociation on its own, so I would absolutely love to hear from anyone who experiences it or knows more about it if you want to add more and correct me on something. I tried not to mention anything about dissociation that I didn't fact-check from multiple sources.

Absolutely! I don't know a lot about what gender dysphoria is like because I haven't had a lot of experience with it but I will do my best!

Can we just acknowledge how tall Hanzo is? He's a bit taller than Hisoka, so about 6'3 at least. But something I've noticed since I've been nonstop rewatching the episodes he's in is how he talks to people shorter than him.

He literally crouches down to eye level with the person, and we see him doing this at least 3 times.

He's taller than these guys, and we can see 1, that he's kind of hunched over, but he's also got his knees bent, all so he can make eye contact with them.

I don't think he's doing it to be a dick. I think he's doing it because eye contact is very important to him, and maybe not to intimidate people. HxH Random Headcanon Time

I think the reason Hanzo is so talkative and goes on and on is because of how he was raised. His whole life he went through insane training to get to where he is today. I doubt he was allowed to be so friendly and chatty with his peers. That and he probably never felt comfortable/safe around them, again because of the training.

(Including suicidal ideation/thoughts, attempt at suicide, breif hospital mention, and self harm) I've been diagnosed with moderate recuring depression so this ask is right in my ball park. Sorry if it's more angsty than you wanted. I know being depressed and having depression can include a lot of things and there are a lot of depressed people so I wanted to include a lot of those things.

The headcanons are split in sections from least to most triggering.

Speaking from experience this kind of stuff can be triggering for some people. If so don't worry there is some smuttier and fluffier content coming soon.

When You're Depressed

-It might take him a while to notice since he doesn't pay that much attention to detail, but if you're suddenly really down, burnt out, don't want to do anything or go anywhere, he's gonna notice.

-That and he checks in on you a lot in general to make sure you're okay.

-He wouldn't bring it up in public or with friends of course. Yall's friends would be leaving for the night and as soon as they're gone he's gonna turn to you and be like, "Hey, are you ok? You're really quiet today."

-If you lie and tell him you're fine he won't believe it but he'd back off for a while thinking you wanted to deal with it on your own. But when it inevitably keeps getting worse and you start trying to hide it, he's getting a lot more worried.

-Eventually he'll just hug you tight and say, "I know you aren't okay Kitten." And from there you probably end up bawling and hugging him like he'll dissapear if you let go. He won't let go of you until you let go of him.

-He'll just listen to you and reassure you that he loves you no matter what and he wants to help you.

-He'll try and make it easier for you to come to him when you start having an episode however he can. He's also going to try and figure out anyhting that could trigger an episode so he can avoid accidentaly bringing it up.

When You're Suic*dal or Self H*rming

-It'll take him a while to figure it out, longer than to figure out you're having a really bad depressive episode.

-If you start dressing odd to hide your self h*rming he's going to take notice of it much quicker. If you try and brush it off as you being cold or it being a fashion trend he's going to be really suspicious of it. "But you never dress like that? It's warm out how are you cold?"

-He'll try and give you the benefit of the doubt for a while. But he's just going to get more and more worried about you the more he doesn't say anything about it.

-If he starts noticing things like sharp things where they don't belong, lighters where they don't belong, or you buying a lot of bandages, he's gonna step in. He likely won't notice other less damaging forms of self h*rm like taking too hot of showers, wearing shoes that are too small, forcing yourself to stay cold and not allowing yourself to warm up, scratching, etc. (Scratching can actually be a more damaging form of self h*rm but it's harder to break the skin.) He wouldn't notice since they're not nearly as visible as other forms.

-If he finds you hurting yourself he's just gonna calmly take whatever it is out of your hands and hug you. He'll run his fingers through your hair and let you cry. He wouldn't be mad at you at all, if anything he's scared to lose you.

-You two curled up for a while. He'll help you with any of your wounds and pepper your teary face with kisses.

-He'd never suggest anything about mental hospitals or make you go to one.

-After the whole hospital thing he just does what he did in the other ones.

-He might suggest a therapist if you wanted professional help and he'd be happy to help you find one.
