Every Road Leads In One Of Two Directions, And It All Depends On Whether You Are COMING Or GOING.
Every road leads in one of two directions, and it all depends on whether you are COMING or GOING.
As the graphic in today’s message reminds us ” just as Jesus said — “I am the WAY the TRUTH and the LIFE” [ John 14:6 ] and this is the ONE WAY to eternal life. Sadly, while the opposite sign clearly says Do Not Enter Jesus also warns us that “Wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat.” [ Matthew 7:13 ]
The decision in which direction to go is clear. The signs are there for all to read.
Which direction on this road have you chosen to go?

The Book of Job is about a man that, despite having lost everything in life — family, children, wealth and health — plus sitting isolated and alone sitting in sack cloth covered with sores and his so-called friends telling him to blame God for his sufferings, Job never gave up! Why? Because he knew deep within his soul that God was with Him.
Even so, God allowed Satan to put Job to the test to see what he’s do in this his affliction, yet all the while God knew Job’s character that Job would come out victorious!!! The end result was that Job was highly favored by God and exceedingly more blessed beyond measure before his affliction occurred.
While we today are not in the same degree of trial as Job, the entire world right now is shaking with the threat of disease, famine, and war, but like Job, we also must not give up or give in! Unlike Job we have a lifeline, and that is Jesus! While Satan wants to toss us back and forth like a ping pong ball, don’t fall for his tactics because despite our difficulties God is with us to not just SURVIVE but THRIVE.
Remember…everything is this life is Temporary, and these trials are a test to make you stronger, just as it is written:
“For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory!” - 2 Corinthians 4:17
Your life here is just a wisp in the wind, so don’t look down or let yourself get weary. Instead, LOOK UP! Because we have an even greater hope within us than Job did! Despite the outward appearances of disorder and turmoil, seize the sure promise of scripture which boldly proclaims:
“We are more than CONQUERORS through Him that Loved Us” - Romans 8:37

Long before cell phones, everyone had a telephone at home, and their name, address, and phone number was in a book published by the local phone company called “The White Pages.” So when someone wanted to reach you, you’d just tell them, “I’m In The Book!”
While the White Pages have long faded into history, there is another much more important book in heaven called THE BOOK OF LIFE, and in that book is written the names of all those that will one day be in heaven. As today’s verse says, not everyone’s name is in that book, because all those that are unworthy will not be allowed into heaven. So the question is, who are those that are WORTHY and those UNWORTHY, and which one are you?
God likewise, wants to reach you, and you must be IN THE BOOK and to do so, the Bible says:
“Do those things that will show that You have turned from your sins.” Matthew 3:8
This is what the Bible calls REPENTENCE, that is that you confess and admit that you are a sinner and are asking for God’s forgiveness. For many people this is not easy because they (maybe you?) don’t think you are that bad or that God is that unmerciful that your name isn’t automatically 'in the book' — but that is not what the Bible says! Only those that are found to be worthy are in that book and all those that are not worthy are not.
Friend, God cannot find you if your name is not IN THE BOOK, and there is no reason why your name should not be in it except you choose not to be in it. You can be worthy before God! Simply ask Him from a sincere and pure heart to forgive you of your sins, And He Will.
Is your name in the Book of Life?
Do you want it to be??

The now classic “Terminator” movies foretold of a future where advanced computers and robots would become self-aware, rebel against the people that created them, and turn to be the enemy of mankind. Today, with extremely high-speed networking, massive storage, sophisticated robotics and immense computational capability combined with Artificial Intelligence (AI) software, we may in fact be close to a 'SkyNET' moment when our creation will rebel against US.
While this destructive future may soon become a reality, We (also) as the CREATED have rebelled against Our CREATOR. Once Adam and Eve believed the lie that they also would “Be Like God” [ Genesis 3:5,7 ] they too became 'Self-Aware' and rebelled against their Creator. In the Book Of Revelation as well as many Old Testament prophecies, it details how people in the end times will rebel against God in the ultimate hope of destroying Him who created them.
The truth of the matter is that just like the T-800 robot in “Terminator 2” we too have all rebelled against our CREATOR, and that is what the Bible calls SIN. In our self-awareness, we likewise — in our self-aware programming — believe ourselves to be independent beings where our 'Natural Intelligence' says we are free to do as we please, and NOT as our creator originally created us to be.
Like Arnold Schwarzenegger’s robot character in Terminator 2, we can likewise be re-programmed to do good and obey the instructions of Him who created us:
“Do not be conformed to this world,
But be transformed by the REWEWAL OF YOUR MIND, That by testing you may Discern what is the will of God, What is GOOD and ACCEPTABLE and PERFECT.” - Romans 12:2
Whether you are a Christian —or not yet a believer — transform your mind. Don’t be like the T-800. Put your old thinking aside and put on the perfect mind of God as He originally created you to be!

How do you feel about yourself?
Have you ever felt unloved, rejected, insignificant, unappreciated or perhaps even like you were invisible? If so, you may have over time developed a distorted view of how God created you, but that is NOT how God views you!
Regardless of all the hurts and perceptions you have had about yourself or what others may have said or done to you, right now is the time to change your self-perception by looking at yourself and how God views you through a different lens. Once you do you’ll then see how God views you and realize this one important truth that You were NEVER created to be Rejected, but CHOSEN because the Bible says:
“Even before he made the world, God loved us and CHOSE US (that includes YOU!) in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes.” Ephesians 1:4 (and also that you are & were) “Fearfully and Wonderfully Made.” Psalm 139:14
This means that even before God poured out the oceans, lit up the stars and formed the mountains He saw You. He chose you to be His own, because He wants you to belong to Him. This means you’re desired, and to be desired means you’re Greatly Valued!.
You see, your heavenly Father loves and cherishes you just as you are. You are always in His thoughts 24/7, and He holds you close in His heart. He treasures you and longs for you to come to Him.
My friend, if you are struggling to love yourself, remember to look through the 'real lens' and toss out the Old Lens that distorts who you truly are, because you ARE a Chosen, Created & Cherished Child of God.

Why are we to believe that the Creator of the world loves or even cares about us? After all, if He is God and is so almighty and eternal, why should He care about us seemingly insignificant people(??) But no matter what you might think, please know that that it is not true. God is always on our side, and He is always pursuing all of us, and not only that - He is certainly pursuing YOU.
Regardless who you are or where you are in the world, God knows and cares all about your life. Even when you are at a low point and can’t see good, He is there still waiting patiently and seeking your attention. Maybe you sinned and made grievous mistakes and that sin has obscured your view of God. If you are unable to accept His love, then something in your life is missing The Apostle Paul said:
“But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ; by grace, you have been saved.” Ephesians 2:4-5
Think on this when you can’t accept that He is and has been seeking you. Not only you, but all of us from the beginning of time.
God gave His son Jesus to the world for all of us – and for you too. That sacrifice is love beyond measure and is immensely remarkable. That’s why God is pursuing you. He knows that we will sin and mess things up and He knows our strengths and our weaknesses...but guess what?!? Our failures and daily mistakes will never create a divider where God will forsake us. The Apostle Paul also wrote:
“Neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:37-29
When doubt comes that God has forsaken you, return to this promise and remember you can always return to Him no matter what because He created you and takes delight in you. You were born with a set of gifts that were meant to expand the mission of Christ and to enjoy the fruits of your labor. He is actually rejoicing over you!
“He will rejoice over you with gladness; He will quiet you by His love; He will exult over you with loud singing.” Zephaniah 3:17
The Lord is pleased and is happy that you are His! Never, ever forget this... God Is Always Pursuing YOU!
