MINOR SPOILERS FOR THE BAD BATCH EP. 02

So I’m getting really strong Kanan/Ezra vibes from Hunter and Omega. I know, its obvious that he’s going to take on a brother/father role for her but it was really apparent to me in EP. 02

Here’s a list of similarities:

A group (Ghost Crew/TBB) finds a parentless kid (Ezra/Omega) on the kid’s home planet (Lothal/Kamino) and decides to take them in

The male leader of the group (Kanan/Hunter) takes on a brother/father role for the kid

It’s kinda obvious that the leader is supposed to train the kid and take care of them

The leader is insecure about their ability to take take care of the kid because they don’t have much experience in that field and they never finished/never knew that training/care

Thinking that the kid will be better off with someone else that does have experience (Luminara/the Lawquanes), they attempt to arrange a hand-off

The hand-off doesn’t pan out but the kid didn’t want that anyways

A female twi’lek (Hera/Suu [I know, I know, very specific]) tells the leader that he needs to get over himself and just take care of the kid

The leader and the kid have a heart-to-heart where the kid admits wanting to be taken care of by the leader

This starts the great bond between the leader and the kid

BONUS:

This is also similar to Din Djarin/Grogu’s dynamic as well, but it is more similar to Kanan/Ezra’s. Din received guidance from the Armorer, who told him to take Grogu to his people, which Din did successfully. In a way, it’s kinda backwards but it’s still reminiscent.

OKAY SO THE BAD BATCH IS SET IN 19 BBY AND JANGO DIED 3 YEARS EARLIER IN 22 BBY. IN ATTACK OF THE CLONES A KAMINOAN CLAIMED THAT A GROUP OF PRETEEN CADETS WAS PRODUCED ABOUT 5 YEARS BEFORE OBIWAN ARRIVED SO BASICALLY...

Am I supposed to believe that Jango didn’t know about The Bad Batch or Omega? As cadets? Babies? Successful mutations of his DNA that could result in better soldiers? The only female clone of him?

He definitely knew and that makes things sadder in my brain🥲

What if Boba knew them...
